Such a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood. The atmosphere is nothing short of amazing. One of the owners, Lou, and his family were there, and they truly went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Lou personally checked in with every table, often more than once, which made the experience feel incredibly personal. His wife designed the décor throughout the space, and it was absolutely gorgeous. From the moment you walk in, you feel like part of the family. The waitstaff were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely kind. We didn’t have a single bad bite everything was excellent. Lou and his daughter Alexa even sent over limoncello shots before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. And the tiramisu? Hands down the best we’ve ever had. We can’t say enough good things about the staff, the food, and the atmosphere. Hard to believe they’ve only been open for about a month we’ll definitely be back.

Personally, I would love to keep this place a secret because it’s just so good, but, because they only opened less than a month ago, I’m going to share a review to make sure they stick around! Fantastic food and service. Really everything we ordered was delicious and both the manager and the wait staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Probably my new favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. They have a few Roman specific items on the menu that you usually can’t find anywhere else (suppli for example). We ordered the suppli, the beef carpaccio topped with shaved black truffles (special of the night), amatriciana, gnocchi with beef ragu, and the veal milanese. Everything was superb - good portions and absolutely delicious. The gnocchi was the best I’ve had outside of Italy; it was perfectly pillowy, not too dense at all. For drinks we had the Spiga Martini and classic Negroni (both very well made) along with a bottle of Chianti recommended by the manager to pair with our meal. We ended with two very good espressos. Can’t recommend this place enough, a great addition to the UES food scene. The restaurant itself is cozy and well decorated with a clear commitment to classic Italian dining without being pretentious in the least.

Having lived on the ues for 15 years, I’m always excited when a great new neighborhood spot open and Spiga has quickly become one of my favorites. I’ve been around five times since they've opened and every visit has been exceptional. The waiters are attentive, warm, and genuinely engaging. This type of energy always makes a dining experience special for me. I also have to highlight the owners, who truly embody great hospitality. They’ve created an atmosphere where everyone who walks in feels like family. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance of being trendy yet welcoming. If you’re craving a traditional Roman dish paired with an amazing bottle of Italian wine, there’s no better spot in the neighborhood. I’ve recommended it to several friends already, and every one of them has raved about their experience. I’m so happy to have this place in the neighborhood and look forward to continuing to be a regular here :)

My UES Patch newsletter highlighted that this place was opening so my husband and I checked it out for date night. The food is AMAZING. For appetizer, we had the meatballs which were absolutely delicious. For mains we had the oxtail, branzino, and a magical mashed potato side that the manager recommended. All were so so good. Probably the best branzino ever. For drinks I had a glass of savignon - it was pretty good. My husband had a dirty martini. Cold, crisp and briny with delicious olives; I switched to that. They just opened, so service was a bit slow. The manager noticed that we had been waiting a bit to order drinks/food and came over to apologize and take our orders. They were absolutely slammed when we arrived a little after 8pm, so giving them 5 stars in recognition that they are in the opening phase, self-aware and working out the kinks. We will definitely be back - a bit pricey but worth it. Delicious addition to the neighborhood.

Spiga left a lasting impression and was an amazing dining experience. We celebrated my birthday, and it truly couldn't have been better. The space was beautiful and elegant, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. My friends and I had a fun and memorable night. Spiga does Italian right and this might be my new favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.

This could be my new favorite Italian restaurant. What a gem that has opened up on the upper east side. I was so happy that I was able to get a reservation for my belated birthday dinner. Could get a 5pm reservation or 9:15pm which was too late so went with 5pm reservation. This place has a small bar area and is smaller than what I was expecting. Great waiter service. All the staff here are wonderful, nice and helpful. The manager and higher up staff were also there while we were so we met them all. On to the food and drinks. I had a hugo spritz which was made well and the table had some very good wine. To start off I had the artichokes which come with cheese on top and some sort of sauce. For my main dish I had the meatballs which I had heard they are known for. It was filling. Some other dishes that were had were pasta dish, salmon and veal I think. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. I will 100% be coming back here. Maybe just to grab a drink at the bar or and for lunch. The only downfall to this place is, in order to get to the restroom you need to go down some steep steps. You feel like you are in a club when you go to the restroom. The music in the stalls are pretty loud.

Really nice spot with delicious food and drinks and kind staff. A few dishes were tried and enjoyed, including the rice balls, a few salads, the tuna, branzino, and a few pasta dishes, all very yummy. The picante drink was very good, too. They showed us a really good time for two birthdays and I'd absolutely go back.

Started out a bit shakey when owner couldn't find our 5pm early resv in his tablet. All was resolved since we were the first patrons. Prices are bit elevated. Bread had to be ordered @ $9.00, which we didn't. We were promised some sourdough bread. What appeared after awhile was a bread basket I'm sure was the $9.00 prize. Main dishes for both of us was tasty. We were also gifted a small dessert w whipped cream. Soo...all in all dinner turned into a winner. Nicely decorated. Confortable seating.
