Spike's Junkyard Dogs

Really only come here for hot dogs, but don't expect much from the rest of the menu. I got the wings and this is the 3rd time i've ordered chicken here and it's prepared terribly. BBQ wings had very little sauce and the wings were extremely dry and overcooked. This last time it was so dry i had to ask if it was fresh chicken because they tasted freezer burnt and over fried. Once could be a mistake, 3 times is not knowing how to prepare chicken. The burgers are OK, but for the price I wouldn't say worth the spend. Hot Dogs are their saving grace. Also, the website menu and pricing advertised is false. If you had any expectations before order after looking at their website, expect to pay $3 more per item when you get there.

I visited Spikes for the first time the other day! This is a pretty cool hot dog spot. It was recommended by my best friend, and I am glad I tried it. We are both vegetarians, and they have a large handful of vegetarian options! The atmosphere is very family friendly, the décor is pretty awesome with a lot of old school photos of classic cars. Even the register counter has a car door for decoration! The restaurant is very clean and has a good amount of seating for how small this location is. There is little curb parking, so I recommend just taking the T or an uber to this location. The staff is very friendly and patient as I was indecisive in selecting my order. This place offers a lot more than just hotdogs, and I enjoyed my hotdogs so much I just might get more and try out their veggie burgers! I ordered the All American Veggie dog meal and it was so good. They have a good selection of fountain drinks, the fries were curly fries and crispy! The hot dog really spoke for itself, the size of the veggie dog was perfect for the bun and the toppings were not overloaded, but they were very generous on the amount. All for a great price! My guest and I shared the Freaken Hot Hotdog, it was super good. . . but needs come with a warning sign. That, or maybe my guest was right I’m just “weak.” The hours here are awesome, come in for a late nigh bite.

We love spikes. The dogs are super good on delicious buns. Try the German shepherd and the curly “poodle” fries. Additionally, we were babysitting someone with a bunch of allergies. The cashier was extremely helpful.

Our date night experience was so filling. WoW!! The options were excitingly overwhelming. The veggie dog and veggie burger with all the toppings were phenomenal! The lemonade was the icing on the cake... yummm!

Ordered via Uber Eats. Only because I had promotion code. Came super fresh and hot. Curly fries were crispy and well seasond. Wings were well prepared, even though I like them more crispy. Ordered 14 and even you can choose only one flavor, they gave me two as I requested in the notes! Thanks! However I didnt like the taste of honey bbq and teryiaki. It was just not me fit. And I missed clossics like garlic parm or other dry rubs. I am happy I tried but probably wont order again.

I would give a 5 for just the fries. Definitely the best I’ve had in the area and the hot dog was great too! I’m not a big fan of hotdogs but the meat didn’t taste low quality and that’s a big plus

When you take the hotdog business seriously, but not yourself! Spike's keeps the fun in the atmosphere and menu, along with a friendly, helpful staff. The Texas Ranger and Freaking Hot were exactly as advertised. Looking forward to future visits when I can try more of their offerings!!
