It is clean with a lot of washers & dryers of varying capacity. Totally cuts laundry time down, but this is one of the most expensive laundromats a person can use. Also, parking is slim picking! There's about 4-5 places to park in their lot and if you're lucky you can get a spot on the side street. You can tap to pay with card or phone, which is convenient (and understandably contributes to the expensive price point). 6 min of drying on high is $0.25 - you prolly won't need more than $1... Unless you have large fluffy blankets or something. There are 4 code secured bathrooms for use, folding area, chill areas to read or visit with a friend (not included in my pictures) or plug in a laptop to get some work done.

Clean facilities, complimentary soap, large machines, and they allow blankets! Plants are on tables under sky lights. Everything is relaxed. The space is peaceful despite the hustle and bustle. They even have sharps containers in their clean restrooms, helpful for people who rely on insulin! Their kind staff are super helpful. I like that they care about all customers, regardless of economic status, race, orientation, gender, etc. Everyone here seems rad. Companion pets are allowed on leashes. There is a secondhand pet supply bin so you can help pets in need. I'm going to donate next time I'm doing laundry. They have a children's library and a very accessible map of nearby shops. Two arcade cabs provide classic videogames while you wait. There are two waiting areas and both provide outlets for customer use. So charge your phone or break out your laptop. Various cleaning products are for sale, but soap is complimentary for those using the machines. Nikwax waterproofing is for sale at a reasonable price ($11-$15 depending on the product). You will also find felted wool dryer balls, ceder wood to repel moths, laundry brushes, dryer sheets, Spin Laundry branded laundry bags, and other accessories. Beware, parking is scarce. Thankfully, they allow temporary parking with your hazards to drop off your laundry before parking. While the business is accessible, the nearby intersection is busy and it can be difficult to navigate. Be prepared to wait for long chains of fast moving cars to pass. Check them out!

If you think paying 8-14 for a washing cycle is affordable then this is your place. I think the facilities are decent and love the people that work here. If you have the chance to use their code-required bathroom, you get a very different vibe than the rest of the place. Like does a slum employer own this business/building? Are they treating their employees fairly for the labor they do? There’s no reason a bougie laundromat•bar•cafe should have a disgusting bathroom with not even a single hook to hang your bag or jacket. It’s been like this for months? I saw a really gnarly soap stain/growth happening on the wall and the floor of the bathroom that I used and the toilet was dirty. Do better! Hire the right people to fix your bathrooms up, because that was just nasty.

Amazing staff! They helped me out in a pinch today and I couldn’t be more thankful. Clean facilities, great remote working area & new machines!

This is the best laundromat I've been to. So many machines! Friendly people working and customers. Places to sit. Drinks for sale. Games to play. Credit card or coin operated. Many machines are available if that's what you need. They have wash and fold services as well. The parking lot has about 9 spots but if you don't get one you can pretty easily find parking on the street.

Big open laundry facility that has numerous sized machines to get your laundry done. Washers had all the settings possible and the dryers worked pretty fast. I was able to get in and out without much fuss (did laundry right after they opened) Looks like it could be fun place to "wash and mingle" later in the day. Nice clean washroom was appreciated

This is my preferred laundry joint but recently I've had some not great experiences with feeling safe here. There was a un-housed man who smelled very strongly of urine loitering there (the wholeplace smelled of urine even with the windows open). At one point he was walking around the place with open scissors that he was scraping against his hands and just walking by looking at people while doing that. At another point behind me he had his hands in his pants and I thought I was going to get more exposure than I had asked for today. I didn't stay at the tables to read as usual because it didn't feel very safe. I'm not sure what anybody can really do in these situations but it wasn't pleasant.

I did 4 loads of laundry (wash and dry). When I got home, my laundry smelled so bad that my coworkers couldn’t sit by me. I used good detergent and bought dryer sheets there. Now I am stuck with smelly laundry that I’m going to have to pay to wash and dry to get this horrible musty smell out. I don’t know if someone before me washed or dried nasty clothes, and it got on my clothes? I’m going to go there today, because they won’t answer their phone.

The coolest laundromat! Love their board game station and arcade games. Music is always pleasant. Love that they offer free detergent if needed. The staff is helpful and pleasant.

Bathroom code is 9000 This bathroom is absolutely ran though. I came into this lavatory with the first impression of a completely serviceable almost business like environment to do my business. As the story unfolds I find out too late that the bathroom is severely lacking in TP... I look up and see a sticker about a Plan C clinic. This resonated with me at such a vulnerable moment. The only perk to this bathroom is that it supplied a plunger for when it most certainly will clog on you. Ironic how in a building dedicated to cleaning I left feeling so dirty.

Would be absolutely perfect if the music wasn't so loud!!! I understand wanting to play music in a business, but I'm not trying to listen to crazy EDM music for an hour while my clothes get clean. I only come here when I have earplugs with me.

I've tried to give this place a bunch of chances but I just can't do it anymore. Every single time I wash my clothes in these machines, I wind up with grease stains on my clothes. Stains that were 100 percent not there before. There must be a local business washing their oily rags or towels in these machines regularly because it's every time. One time, when I went to the counter and showed the staff, they offered a me stain remover spray and then charged me for it. They do a good job of keeping this place clean and the music is always good but these machines are killing my clothes even when we do the sanitizing rinse twice before hand.

Very friendly staff and VERY fair prices. If you forget your detergent/dryer sheets they have a reasonable deal where they'll sell it to you by the load (I love that!). Clean facility...lots of machines of all sizes...pleasantly surprised!!

Awsome place good staff and they are helpful and your laundry will be cleaned and dried well. A little speedy but it's much more speedy than other laundry and it's kept clean. Will keep returning.

The facility was conveniently located, quiet and very clean inside & out. Dryer dried my loads in less than 20 mins! I was honestly thinkin of my laundromat days with a bunch or kids and riff raft outside. None of that here.

This used to be a fun place to wash my comforter. After calling almost two weeks ago and sending an online inquiry about the drop off service after I got out of the hospital and was not able to sit and wash and dry the comforter, due to my condition, I still have not received a response. I will be going elsewhere for now on. If customer service and care is important to you, go elsewhere.

Spotlessly clean, new machines in excellent working condition, helpful staff, nice assortment of environmentally friendly products available, plenty of parking, high ceilings, well ventilated and plenty of clean carts. Option to pay with credit card or quarters is nice. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely love this place! Always clean and I can usually get a washer that matches the load I'm trying to wash. They provide laundry detergent if you ask - for free! Parking is not great but it's not Portland if I don't have to park and walk. Still my go-to spot every week!

Spotless machines, wash/dry area and bathrooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. All in all a 5 star experience ..... so why only 4? Well, there was a medical waste container in the bathroom full of used syringes. I guess drug addicts also need to do their laundry, and it's better to have a safe place for used needles than not. It's also not Spin's fault they've had to accomodate this necessity. That said, if I have a choice to do laundry with junkies vs not, I chose not.

I actually wrote them an email last month and asked about taking my Ruggable 8*10 living room rug there. I got a response back from them within 48 hours, closer to 24, and they answered all of my questions. Even made me feel better because he said that they do Ruggables all the time. Told me how to bring it in and do it myself and also told me about drop off wash & dry service. Finally got around to taking the rug in today and the person manning the desk was fantastic. I told them it had some stains on it and have never washed it. They took fantastic care of it. It looks pretty close to the way it looked when we bought it. We will definitely be taking more things there that aren't easy to wash in our smaller machine.

Super cute and clean. I sat and did homework while my comforter washed and dried. Music playing was calming and the machines seemed well maintained. Got a free dry for checking in so to wash my down comforter was only $11. Can't beat that. Wi-Fi is fast, it's right off a bus line as well.

Laundry It's not that fun to do, I had to get some stuff washed. washing my stuff there early in the morning so I can be done with it. I do like the facility to keep coming back, I like the option of paying with card or coins and it's in a good location. Laundry sure is expensive to wash these days, but the machines are fast and convenient.

I drove way out of my way to go to this laundromat because my comfort level and the ambiance at my local laundromats were lacking. I was disappointed to find out that the bar was closed, they did have some pinball machines but I ended up walking over to XO bar while my laundry was going. The machines were priced alarmingly high: like $11 for a large load, $7 or $8 for a smaller one but extra charges for cold water versus hot (wtf??) and extra rinses. I separate my clothes by fabric type to protect my delicate/athletic things so I probably spent $60-$80 getting all six loads of my laundry done for two weeks. Would not return, it's just not worth it and there are no perks without the bar in my opinion.

Spacious open air laundry! This place is always very clean and the machines are easy to operate. You can drop off clothes or use the machines and have seat in the seating area. It's in a great location with shops nearby to browse or eat while you wait. It is a bit on the pricier side but worth it if you're tired of going to places with busted dirty machines, scary areas or dealing with whatever gross things people may have left behind.

I took two blankets to this place to clean self service and came home with them wreaking of softener sheets. I didn't use any so it must be the smell within their dryers. I've since tried cleaning them two different times using vinegar and baking soda, paying double what I paid initially to clean, and they still stink and I'm gonna have to throw them out. I've gone to several laundromats, and never had this type of issue.

The staff were super friendly and the machines were extremely clean and efficient. I didn't think atmosphere was important at a laundromat but Spin was such a welcoming environment that I wanted to return just to hangout. It was a gamble as a first choice because we were new to Portland but we will definitely return whenever we're in town and needing to do our laundry. Wish all laundromats were like Spin!

Hardly ever do I go to a laundry mat, but when you're on the road for weeks at a time it's inevitable. It was a pleasure to find this place, the staff was busy but friendly. They even have a map of their street listing places you can grab a bite to eat at while you're waiting.

I had a lot of hiking clothes and didn't want them to rot in my bag so found myself at this laundromat. The staff were really helpful and provided free soap! The facility was super clean and safe and the clothes came out clean!

Hands down the best laundromat we've ever been to. Staff were amazing and fabulously diverse. Great coffee shop and brewery near by! Super new and efficient machines and well priced. If we lived in Portland I'd come here every week and not do laundry at home.

I went here when I was on vacation and I gotta say it's a well-run business. The staff was very informative and guided me through the process. I loved that I could pay using my card and didn't need to have quarters ready to go. Clean, safe, and one of the best laundromats in town. Will go there again next time I'm in the area!

Spin came through!! In this time of COVID-19, Spin chose to keep community members and staff as safe as possible. They normally have the laundromat open with wash, dry, and fold services. In these times, they came up with a wash and dry only option (for a flat fee) since you can't go in and do your laundry. Depending upon weight, the cost is the same or not much more than it costs to do your own laundry (plus you don't actually have to do it, yay!). I'm so greatful for this because the stress of constantly working from home, with the kiddos, is a lot. I'm also grateful that there isn't a high cost associated with this. Spin provides great laundry soap (seems like it works better than tide) and turn around has been 2 hours at the earliest and slightly less than four hours at the most. Thank you Spin for helping us all and being the real MVP! I also see at least one of the owners there pretty regularly. He's great at recognizing customers. Last thing, last time I went, I saw a 10% off discount for customers bringing their laundry in Spin bags...those bags are the best and reasonably priced, too! One more last thing, there was a not so nice African American lady there last time I went. My laundry didn't weight anymore than normal (I could see the weight) and out of all the times I've gone since this new way started, she charged me the most and wasn't nice when I was asking questions. Her attitude could use an adjustment. We're all just trying to make it.

I have been using the wash and pack service at the Broadway location since 2020 and the cleanliness of the loads has become more and more questionable. I emailed the company with the following concerns and never heard back. Some loads came back damp or filmy with soap at times, once or twice it was clear that too much was stuffed into a load and not everything was washed properly but I continued to use the service until - My last load was not only mismanaged, as I received a text that it was finished and when I arrived I was turned away because one of my bags had not been washed, but more disturbingly, I found other customer's objects in my "clean" laundry. 1) I found a wad of paper that looks to be from a hand written notebook that is not mine in with my linens?? It was crumbling and left gross bits on my sheets. 2) Separately there was a marble in my clothing load. Jokes of finding my lost marbles aside - it's not mine. Sanitary cleaning still very much necessary with COVID so how were these machines not checked and sanitized between customers? My items could have been ruined/grosser depending on what was left behind in the machines. Is this level of care/carelessness the expectation for the $80+ cost of service? I don't think so.

so apparently they lost someone's clothes and wash different customers close together with there "wash & pack" service. I found this out when I received a text message email and phone call asking if I had any that other persons missing items. when I responded no. I was accused of lying. Not one of these correspondence included an apology or offered a refund for the inconvenience. just an accusation of theft and refusal to take responsibility.

Haven't been to a laundromat in decades and was forced to launder while on an extended west coast tour. I had no idea that a laundromat could be this clean and pleasant. Staff was attentive to our questions and we couldn't be happier.

Nice atmosphere. Prices are a bit expensive. Bring your own detergent if you want to clean your clothes the best.

This place is great. Came here to do a number of loads & wash a rug all at the same time instead of at home. It's tidy & the staff are nice and helpful.

I've been coming to spin since I moved to the area. It has always been a good experience. Today, when I was there between 6pm and 7pm the place was a complete mess. Both employees although friendly were sitting down in the drop off area. I'd like to feel comfortable doing my laundry here again. But not sure they are keeping up with the cleanliness. I'll update on my next visit, if I come back.

I haven't gone to the laundromat in about 15 years but was staying at an Airbnb and spilled matcha on the comforter and duvet. Portland was in the midst of a heatwave so some of their locations were closed but when we found one that was open I was shocked. This isn't your dirty, dingy, gross laundromat. This is bright and clean and the service was 5 stars. I felt like I was on another planet. It's pricey but not sure what others cost. So glad places like this exist. Smart business model. It's part of a very vibrant community.

I was very disappointed by how an employee treated me at this location. Spin is my go to place whenever I'm having problems with our washer or dryer and tonight I ran into a problem while washing my bedding. I walked up to the entrance at 10:54 only to get insulted and yelled at by a thin blonde employee stating that she didn't care about my problem. Now I'm here sitting at the location off Fremont and greatly appreciate the employee not calling me crazy for trying to do my laundry at 11pm even though it's what the door clearly says. **For those who are unaware, they advertise that last load is at 11pm and doors close at midnight**

25 min HOT $5.75 (5 min pre-wash)(6 min wash)(9 min cold water rinse and drain)(5 min extract) I started 2 machines at the same time side-by-side the one 2 mins ahead finished first. I remember the old days when hot steam could be seen if you raise the lid where detergent goes. I felt it was warm. The employees said the machine was designed to run hot between 110-120 degrees. I pulled my clothes (towels as well as sheets no more than 36 lbs) dried at 36 minutes (HOT setting). The clothing were mildly hot to the touch. .25 for 6 min. If you wanted to report a washer or dryer for problems there are no designated numbering to identify one from the other. I live in an apartment complex nearby where 5 neighbors have bedbugs. The water has to be 120 to treat that. The clothing, towels did smell clean and extraction works.

I don't have laundry at home so I have to go to the laundry mat. It scared me initially bc I had a terrible experience at another laundrymat in town. But Spin, you came through! Clean, covid-safe and fast. Machines are plenty, had no trouble parking on site. They ask you to leave btwn loads and not fold your laundry inside...tbh I'm more than ok w that during a pandemic. They have free soap but I didn't partake. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I asked a couple questions and they were answered with a smile. I was able to walk around the neighborhood or sit in my car btwn loads so I passed the time just fine. Will definitely be back!

Spin has been our go to stop during Covid-19, and will continue after the craziness. We have used the self service at another one of their locations before for large blankets, comforters and sleeping bags. With the recent pandemic we have found their online check-in and payment very convenient along with their no contact drive up and drop off and pick up. This location is much easier to handle with cars then the other for sure. The price is 1/4 to 1/3 of the cost using a dry cleaner to wash a comforter so driving downtown is worth it

I've been putting off washing my huge down comforter, but had a great experience here. The employee in the soap shop was very helpful and gave me good advice about washer and dryer settings. I went to Goodwill while waiting for the wash cycle to be done and Hale Pele while waiting for the dryer. Even on the low setting, it only took an hour to dry. Last time I washed it, I used a home dryer and it took hours to dry, so the industrial-size machines here were worth it.

Thank you for doing my laundry! This easy, budget friendly laundry service is awesome and really fast. I have done my own wash here too however today I splurged and did a few dollars more to have them take care of things and I'm so glad I did. This same day service is an excellent value and will now be part of my super easy chore routine. The owner and staff is super. Don't sleep on the rad soap or laundry bags they have available

Love this place, exact opposite of all the other laundry places I have been to in Portland. Friendly nonjudgmental attentive staff. The ambiance is great and the facility is super clean. While the prices are slightly higher than that of the other tweakling swarmed laundromats the fact that the machines are in great working order offsets the cost. I truly believe my clothes and bedding have never been as clean. So if you are tired of endlessly pumping money into ineffective machines to have your clothes coming out smelling like bug shit I highly recommend this place.

This laundry service was super friendly and easy to use, it's in a great neighborhood which is part of the reason that I looked them up. I was looking for a wash and fold and this was just that. They have quite a few options for you including same-day rush wash and fold which was a little more expensive because they were busy, or you can do 24 hour or 48 hour pick ups. I ended up getting same-day washing service but not folding since I'm on vaca and needed it back same day . It was better than I expected but the people there really made it great!

The lady to the left there my money at me and was being very aggressive then they put. Filthy dog on the table were they fled customers clothes people from my church were there and said she was being passive and very rude I'll never go here again must be because the other cafe is closed for remodeling

I have been frequenting Spin for the past year and it does not disappoint. The facility is clean, the staff are friendly and the services/machines are cost effective and reliable. I drive out of my way from SW just because it's always been a good experience. Don't forget to get your stamp card for a free load of laundry! Only bummer is the parking lot has like 5 spaces but there is generally plenty of street parking and it doesn't hurt that there is a pub across the street.

Clean. Better prices than our haunted basement. Not any more fun than any laundromat I've been in since the 70s. I don't know why I thought it would be fun?

Hey Morgan, or whoever is reading this. I absolutely love your business and have been using it for about 7 years now. Today was the first day I used the drop off service and I gotta say it is NOT worth it. I paid $50 and it took over 5 hours for my clothes to be finished. I could have done them myself for $20 and would have been done in an hour and 20 minutes. I know you need to pay your employees but that price is way too high for a far less ideal outcome. I still appreciate what y'all do, just disappointed.

This place is super clean and it has some parking spots which is great! We came in to wash our comforters since our machines at home aren't big enough. The associate was super nice and patiently explained the machine to us and gave us complimentary natural soap. We sat down at the tables and did emails and next thing you know we were in and out in about an hour! It's a bright space and you don't get the heebie jeebies doing your laundry here. We will come back again for large items!

Spin takes the stress out of laundry day. It's a modern day laundromat with wifi, a projector, great music, and plenty of space to hang out while you're waiting for your laundry. I actually have a laundry facility in my apartment building, but I prefer to take my clothes here because their washers and dryers are high quality and better maintained compared to the old and run down ones in my apartment. Every surface in there, including the bathrooms, are consistently spotless. I can use my credit card, which eliminates the hassle out of rounding up quarters on laundry day. Every single staff member I've interacted with has been friendly and helpful, even offering me detergent when I forget to bring mine from home. They have a large amount of appliances and I've never had to wait for a machine, even on busy days. I usually use the smaller machines, but their large capacity washers are perfect for when you have a huge mass of clothes or bulky items. Sometimes I'll come by with my roommate to wash a bunch of loads all at once. You can even set up the washers with your phone number to get a text alert when your clothes are done. Genius. With such close proximity to Fred Meyer, I'm able to knock out laundry and grocery shopping at the same time. I will say the parking lot is small, there's only about five spots, but if it's full I'm always able to find a spot close by on Broadway (which is not metered). I can't recommend Spin enough. They've put a great deal of thought and energy into making the laundry process as simple and painless as possible, and it shows. Thank you Spin!

Update! Love this place! Even when it's busy, there is plenty of machines to use. Tip- when using your card to pay, select which setting you want first, then on the card machine you press "enter" until the amount on the card reader matches your wash setting, then swipe your card. I work a few buildings down from the new Spin location and I couldn't be happier! Now I can do my laundry on my lunch break (or a little over since the whole wash/dry/fold process takes a little over an hour) and save precious weekend time. I went midday Friday and there were a few other washers but 90% of the machines were available. I used a 6-load capacity one and a cold wash was around $10 which is a little spendy, but to dry was only $0.75 so I guess it evens out. Plus I'm willing to spend a few more dollars to save time! There's a small waiting area with tables and booths that I could easily see getting crowded during peak times. They sell some drinks and snacks which is nice. Overall, it is a great addition to the neighborhood, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the Mississippi location does!

I found this spin laundry to be very rude and inconsiderate!! I dropped my mask for a few minutes as I was distracted by some "unforeseen" vehicles. Also, there were some peddlers asking me for money! Also it took forever to get the clothes. This company is certainly questionable. I won't be using this laundry ever again!! I do have a photo to share and will ad later.

My washing machine broke right before a work trip. Spin has clean, efficient machines. The space is bright and modern. They project sports games on a wall. There's wifi and the machines take credit cards. I forgot it's nice to be able to do all of your laundry at once. Spin is great.
