Started work in Farringdon area 27/03/2019 and while scoping area found Spinach. I go about 4 times a month. It must be GOOD as I am taking a chance if I go there after 1.45pm for my favourite Large Beef, Jollof Rice, plantain and trimming. Fortunately I like chicken too.

After looking for a restaurant I finally realised it was a food stall. Food was really tasty, loved the spicy beef and the jollof rice. My first taste of West African food and I really need to try more now. Service was helpful but a little quiet so had to strain my old man ears a bit. Cost is a tiny bit higher than most food stalls but food was worth it. Just ate it in a park round the corner.

£9 for dry flavourless clumped together jollof rice, and a few bits of burnt chicken. The best thing about the meal was the plantain, and I only got one piece of that, bit like the non existent slaw. Awful.

I literally had this three weeks ago and CANNOT stop thinking about their amazing jollof rice and BBQ wings. Everything was so flavorful and I’m definitely going back here. Must try!!!

£7 meal. Loved the jollof rice. It was sooo spicy, which I enjoyed. Had chicken and spinach with plantains. Quite filling and tasty. Enjoyed the spicy with the sweet combination of flavors

I am so glad I discovered this stall at Broadway Market this weekend. The food was so good I went back on Sunday for seconds! I hope to return in future weekends with friends and get to try the suya wings too. Nana and the rest of the team were also very friendly - I can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Jolof rice was MONEY. I got it with 2 meats and plantains and it was 10 or 12 pounds? Nice and spicy too. Cool spot in Exmouth Market - I ate it on a bench.

Yelp
Bit offensive Yelp!, to offer 'African' as a category of food. What food do you like? I like European food, all of it. Anyway, Spinach & Agushi serve Ghanian food. It's a little stall at the bottom of Exmouth Market, two guys really friendly. They cook 4 stews every day, fresh. Fresh ingredients. You can't really knock that. I had groundnut stew, which was really nice. Today, they also did black eyed bean, beef, and spinach, always a vegetarian option. So, they'll serve one or two of these with a big helping of nicely spiced rice. £4.00. And it is filling. Can confirm. I hadn't eaten Ghanian before. It wasn't generic either, each stew was cooked differently. Really tasty

Yelp
I don't think I've had Ghanaian food before but this was delicious! Using all my self control (the chicken curries look AMAZING) I got the small veggie combo box and stuffed my face with black eyed peas, spinach and plantains -- don't skip the plantains! So delicious that I'll be back soon to try the chicken and should probably seek out more Ghanaian food... Glad I skipped the hot sauce because it packed a pretty good spice without it. Also: today is Wednesday and Yelp says it should be closed on Wednesday... Which it isn't.

Yelp
I face a daily battle NOT to go and get Spinach and Agushi for lunch. In the end, I usually end up caving at least every fortnight. The rice alone is delicious, the aponymous spinach & agushi is lovely - unique flavour, filling and delicious. Occasionally if I'm starving (a small box will fill me up so beware the large boxes!) I'll have the peanut or coconut chicken, both sinfully bad for you but tasty as anything. The lamb and beef dishes tend to be a bit spicier, and the meat can have the odd bit of gristle, but you can't knock the flavour. Fantastic to have some interesting and good value food right on my office doorstep.

Yelp
Spinach & Agushi, a stall located on Broadway Market on Saturdays, bestows upon you a little rectangular box of awesome. From their row of deep iron wok-like pans, they spoon you huge heaping shovelfuls of Ghanaian stews over tasty spiced jollof rice. I had the trademark spinach and agushi dish and a groundnut stew (sort of like a chicken satay type of tender peanut chicken stew) topped with a light carrot salad and a splash of hot sauce. It's an enormous amount of food in a little box,and is certainly £5.50 worth of incredibly filling, uniquely spiced tastiness. I agree with Felix W. on the 'African' food category needing a bit more differentiation...London has Nigerian, Senegalese, Ethiopian, Moroccan food and more, and that's just in one row of stalls at a place like the Sunday UpMarket at Brick Lane. Anyway. Spinach & Agushi. Yum. Great way to reward myself for the exhausting task of roaming Broadway Market and tasting samples of even more delicious food. It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it...

Yelp
5 stars for a market stall. Cool dudes selling interesting food (from my very white point of view -- probably pretty fucking blahzay to a big segment of the worlds population). "Wasn't all that dissimilar to Indian food," I said, ignorantly. "Ghana is in India," replied my friend, semi-retardedly.

Yelp
So glad I decided to stop here for my lunch today for the first time. They have about 5 different options on the Exmouth market stall ranging from chicken to beef and vegetarian dishes all cooking in giant iron wok type dishes. Went for a combo of the peanut chicken stew (yum) plus spinach and agushi and rice. The chicken dish had plenty of generous chunks of super tender chicken in a flavourful peanut sauce and the spinach dish was lighter but spicier so a good combo. Great rice too. Really delicious and good portion size for £5.50. Very satisfying for a Friday lunch.

Yelp
PHEW SPICY! The most popular stall on Exmouth Market, for good reasons. Filling, tasty, unique, good value. Only been once and tried the spinach agushi and seafood stew. Both great :)
