I don't understand why so many of the reviews are bad if you're only paying a hundred dollars a night compared two or three I don't think there's anything to complain about at all. I really loved the location.The reviews made me scared But I thought the hotel was really nice for the price. It was just an older building. We had one of the suites with a private balcony and it was really nice. They said that you had to pay $10 for parking to park behind the hotel on the inlet, but there was street parking right in the front so I didn't pay for parking and it wasn't a far walk. I went down and asked for 5 towels and they brought me them immediately and they were really nice. And before I booked I called with questions and they were very sweet as well. I made sure I was there early so we had no check-in problems.I called ahead of time let them know my arrival time and everything went smooth.

We can down for my friends birthday, and the room was oh so bad. Stains on the bed, the air conditioning had a large hole in it that led to the outside. Cracks on the walls and no shower head for the shower?? On top of that when we told the worker there was stains on the bed. He just barged into our no with no knock.. Then we didn’t even have towels in our room so we went back up to the office to get towels, They told us we can’t have more then 1 towel. There’s 4 of us?. Also while we were leaving the power shut off..? luckily we were leaving to go home right after it happened. But i was terrible disappointed. Be better!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE‼️It was a quick grab for our 4th of July weekend and I am SO glad we only had to sleep there. The location was actually great but that is the ONLY thing good. No bugs in our room, thank god! But...dirty sheets ( I always bring my own blanket and sheet just in case) a broken chair, TV didnt work, we didn't even have lamps on the night stands 😑 Water pressure was HORRIBLE! The lock on the front was sketchy also. We stayed 2 nights and never got fresh towels or anything. I had to argue about parking to the front desk guy, it took me literally 2 and a half hours to find parking! Ridiculous!! Not free parking either!! I know they got sick of me coming to the front desk and complaining!! I don't care though because this place was lower then a 1 star rating honestly!! Won't be going back to this nasty motel!! Waste of money!!

Hotel is crappy. Walls are paper thin so you will hear the people in the room behind yours. There is also a door that connects both rooms together. They gave us a room that had peoples belongings inside. They moved us to a room with a broken tv and was filthy. Also read comments that stated the room had bed bugs which I probably should’ve checked the bed before sleeping. I ended up getting these bites on my legs while sleeping in bed. I suggest paying the extra 100 dollars and stay somewhere nice

A long review but worth the read- it explains every aspect. -Do not waste your time even considering this excuse of a motel. It was the worst place my family and I have ever stayed at and that says a lot since we have left hotels that were also subpar. My husband said that the front desk people had no clue of anything regarding this place. It started off alright; not good but not bad. However, as time went on it proved there was no good at all. When we got back to our room around 6pm to change we became locked in our room and we had to call the front desk to come and get us out! What?! Somehow the call was recorded (thank goodness) and needless to say Harris, the front desk employee, had no care in the world; no sympathy, no urgency, no apology- nothing. His tone was lackluster, “oh, uh, okay”. But to make it even better when he came to look at the door and couldn’t fix it he suggested to us that the best thing to do when in our room was to LEAVE IT OPEN. Just to mention, we have a 12 yo, 2yo and a 7m infant; but sure, we will leave it open?! Wow, I was floored; there was no resolution, no “let me see what we can do, maybe we can switch you to an open room”, nada. That is by FAR the most wild comment I’ve gotten at any “motel”. My husband and I mulled over the thought of complaining to the front desk and luckily we did but, again, there was “nothing they could do”, “there’s no manager to call”, “the manager is out of state and unreachable”. That got us very upset, understandably. On top of the door issue there was also an exposed outlet with exposed wires. Not only does that scream “safety hazard” it also would prohibit the room from passing safety code which is unacceptable in any situation. It made us wonder if the hotel at all would pass code. We asked them, well what would happen if our 2yo went over and messed with it and he got hurt? What would you do then? Of course we didn’t allow him to be in that area but on vacation we are supposed to be relaxing and this “motel” provided nothing but unacceptable issues, resolutions and lack of comfortability. We were told there was no onsite maintenance crew to fix it, that they’d be there in the morning so “call when you want to leave the room”. Gobsmacked. In the AM it took them over 15 minutes to come unlock our door and when the service guy got there he had to CLIMB THROUGH THE WINDOW to exit our room for whatever reason. The manager got ahold of my husband since the front desk people took his name and number, which also shows that there was something they could do, they just didn’t want to do it at 6pm I guess. My husband explained everything and we finally got somewhere with a resolution to all of these problems. The manager was super nice and helpful, she was the only highlight of this stay. it’s just unfortunate that a time we were supposed to be relaxing we couldn’t because of all of these issues. The TV didn’t work at all, all of the cables were everywhere; they were threaded down to the underside of the table that was in our room. Essentially it was a ball of messy cables affixed to the table- something else a young child could potentially pull. There were also other people complaining about the TV so it wasn’t just us who was having an issue; it seemed to be basically everyone. What’s the point of having one in the room when it doesn’t work?! The bathroom door handle was loose, didn’t lock; almost as if someone was trying to pry it open. The bathtub looked like someone dyed their hair black and it stained the tub everywhere. The shower head was so low- my poor husband didn’t even bother rinsing off because he is too tall. There are many other things but this review is long enough. *terrible room *terrible employees *extremely unsafe environment *completely unacceptable suggestions by employees *parking is not free *room balcony overlooks a trailer park *NEVER book your vacation here unless you want it ruined

I stay here a few times out the year, for 2 days or so. Have never stayed more then 2 days. This time, I will be staying until thursday with my family. I have been here since Sunday afternoon. When we got our room, the woman in the morning, so sweet, so accommodating, very attentive, made sure our room was cleaned properly, and we had everything. When we turned on the TV, we started to realize it didn't work. It would play something 1 min, and disconnect for 20 + minutes. We upgraded our room, to have a refrigerator and kitchenette. The refrigerator wouldn't shut properly, so the fridge was HOT. The stove, doesn't heat properly, as it took us 40 minutes to make eggs, and boil water. WE called at night time, after our hot beach time, to let them know about all of it. The guy in the front desk, was rude and said he would send someone in the morning. That was Sunday night! Morning came, we waited, and waited some more. NO one came. I walked down, spoke the the amazing woman in the morning shift. She apologized, and had empathy. She also said there was no note, or message on her system by the night shift person. She wrote one up, said they be in my room to fix the issues. I called last night as well, as my TV and internet are still not working. The guy in the night shift, hung up are calls. I didn't bother with him any more. Today is our 3rd day here, and NOTHING resolved. The morning shift woman, cameup, she is so sweet! She verified the TV don'twork, we have no Wi-fi, and the stove is broke! I could put more things, but the ones impacting our stay, are far worse! How do we get ahold of the Hotel owner or manager?!

We did not accept the first room because of water pressure and smoke detector off of the wall. I’m an electrician, and I noticed that the wires were exposed and not safe. So they relocated us to another room with no water pressure and smoke detector not working. I would’ve not checked the smoke detector if I didn’t notice the one hanging exposed in the first room. Then they relocate us to the third room with toilet, not flushing and still no working smoke detector. But that one was able to be hooked up. There is a no smoking policy in these rooms, but I can smell funny smoke coming out of rooms. I am here with my kids, and I do not feel safe.

The location is truly beautiful but unfortunately the front desk woman is not on the inside. She told us the office was open until 5 am and at 4:15 told me and my husband to our car to sleep cause we were “5 minutes too late”. We than were denied our second night because she had already canceled it. If you want a place that’ll make you sleep in your car and treat you like crap this is the place to go!!!

Zero if possible. Please do not book here. It sounds inviting for under $90- but you're getting a room that needs to be charged by the hour and let your future guests know the truth. I have pictures to help. My experience was more than disappointing, it was demeaning and neglectful and disgusting. I had arrived early to ocean city. Check in is 4. Never have I had an issue calling just to see if there would be a room earlier, and the clerk said to call back around 12. I went to the water park to meet my sister, niece and nephew. Check it out- it's towards Delaware! So fun and relaxing! So what could go wrong? I left around 2:30- I called and they said that my room was ready when I got there, thank you!! That's so considerate and I let the young girl know that. I arrived and eeek!!!! not a lobby but a regular cheap dirty motel check in. It gets a lot worse. I was there, unpacked and was like- ok okay I can do this- I brought my own sheets but this was bad. Anyway- the only thing I called about was my lamp, the light bulb was burnt out. Could I get one? Sure. No one shows for 28 minutes. It's not her fault, I'm sure they don't pay enough to staff so they use family. Well I go to the office asking and she comes to the room and - takes me lamp!!!!! It need a lightbulb!!! but she said she would be right back Ok- I have plans of the beach and dinner still so I figured it was fine. I'm sure by the time I got back it would be at least working. No lamp. I go again- she's busy- I finally decide I'm going back one more time before bed. She freaks out and calls her boss. I go to bed. She's watching friends. So I'm finally about to fall asleep- and I hear banging. On my window. On my door- I literally wanted to call the police because of all the trafficking going on- being by the bay- banging on my door? Oh maybe it's my.... "Open the door! Get out, get out! You leave now or I call cops!!!!!!!" I'm no- I'd like a lamp or a refund. Well that isn't allowed and she calls the police. I got kicked out- she almost said my clothing (mostly high end- don't ask why I picked this place- the pictures and price and just a bed for two nights- don't cut corners) she did call the police. She did block my car. The police is young and inexperienced and he actually allowed her to hold my car hostage and I had to get it in 24 hours because she put a restraint order request on me. Yey. So I get to my car and there are scratches. Can we add to this- I didn't have a sip to drink, I don't take any pharmaceuticals of any restricted grade - I have an autoimmune disease that makes me literally allergic to alcohol. The officer wouldn't even breathalize me when she said I was belligerent and drunk because he saw no reason. This place is a disgusting way to steal money. No refund. I went to the Hilton- I recommend spending that extra money for no bed bugs and light

Very very horrifying Experience. Cutting straight to the point roach crawling beside me as I use the bathroom, spider cricket crawling on my face as I was sleeping (images posted ). Now check out day one hour before check out, as we're laying down in our undergarments the room door burst open by the housekeeping personnel who laughs and says sorry and closes the door, and leaves. We immediately got up and gather our belongings. Went to the office the young lady there as were telling her what's happening and asking for a managers name and number since she says the manager isn't there, with the worst dismissive attitude Ive ever encountered. Her response was I'll talk to the housekeeping but do you wanna check out . I asked for the managers name she's so busy trying to disregard the issue she telling me the managers name is private, I asked her again and she told me the name. I then asked when will the manager be in again and she then told me sometimes they are there in the morning from 8am til afternoon then says sometimes it's 6am. Either way I'm calling until I get to speak with the manager and posting on every outlet they are advertised on. For your safety don't stay here. And yes it's 2 stars but you will get what you pay for here.

Booked Tuesday to Saturday reservation, thought I booked Wednesday to saturday.... was ready to go Wed morning and found out that spindrift already cancelled my whole reservation already( wasn't even 24 hours), my problem with this was that I paid like $700 for this, so I didn't mind losing a day, cause I still had 4 days left, but Spindrift jumped on opportunity to cancel so they could keep whole reservation money for themselves ( but told me that booking.com cancelled my reservation which was a lie!!!!) . Called and pleaded with them to just let me use my days left, front desk called manager, and mgr. said she couldn't do nothing about it. But when I told front desk to have mgr call me directly, she had excuses about she just left office and she won't be able to call me or do nothing ( HAD THE F**KIN NERVE TO TELL ME TO BOOK ANOTHER ROOM)... THE ROOM WAS ALREADY BOOKED, SO UNLESS THEY GAVE IT AWAY AS SOON AS THEY CANCELLED IT, I COULDVE STILL USED MY RESERVATION!!!!! The funny thing is I went last yr about this same time and someone else was going through same thing, but they already drove from out of state to get there and was told they reservation was cancelled and there was nothing they could do about it!!!! SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND DONT WASTE IT GIVING IT TO PEOPLE LIKE THIS THAT DONT GIVE A F*** ABOUT YOU!!! They act like they losing money or something, the room was paid for, even if it's empty for 3 days!!!!! YOU STILL GOT PAID FOR IT!!!!! I would lose out, not you!!!!! THE FACT THAT YOU CANCELLED THE RESERVATION IN LESS THAN 24 HRS AND KEPT THE MONEY SAYS ALOT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR HOTEL!!!!!!!!! DONT LET THAT SWEET TALK FOOL YOU, THEY ONLY ABOUT GETTING YOUR MONEY BY ABY MEANS NECESSARY!!!!!! THANK YOU SPINDRIFT FOR F**KIN UP MY WHOLE VACATION!!!!!!

I went with some friends on October 5th. As we were getting ready for bed this is what we found. I ended up sleeping in my vehicle. They refused to refund us so I will be handling things starting with the Health Department and the better business bureau.

Booked this hotel from August 5-9 2018. We ended up leaving the 7th after finding the room to be infested with bed bugs. There was black spots of bed bug poop all over the chair in the room, spots of blood where the bed bugs were smashed on the sheets and comforter, and i woke up with 2 bed bug bites. When i confronted the office and asked to be refunded the last 2 nights so we could go find somewhere else to stay they said they would not refund us and all they could do for us was change the sheets. We're told the manager would come talk to us and he never showed so we just left. 10/10 do not recommend staying here.

Terrible!! Booked this as a decently priced hotel to stay trying to save us money and it's one of the biggest regrets I've had in my life! Horror scene. We got the queen bed on the first floor and it was as small as a Mini refrigerator. This is more like a room instead of a "motel" the rooms not even big enough for one person... the cleaning man has been in and out of our room even when we had the do not disturb sign out he still came in. Didn't feel comfortable at all the entire time here room smelled like mildew and there wasn't even fitted sheets... what's supposed to be fitted sheets is a single sheet just layer over the bed cover. We arrived In the room and had no pillowcases.

I keep trying to review this place on Facebook, but for whatever reason it keeps getting deleted. So after I reported to BBB I figured I'd come here, too. If we could give less than 1 star, we would. Had to change rooms THREE TIMES and pay additional money for something that was not our fault. First room was one bed for 3 people... I booked online for 2 adults and 1 child in a two Queen bed room. Paid an extra $50 to upgrade to a 3 bed room since apparently they 'dont have rooms with 2 beds' (yeah, right.) Got to the second room, the tv wouldn't work and there was a horrible, musty odor and mold everywhere. They changed our room again. The third room seemed okay at first...then I went to take a shower. BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE. there was moldy coffee in the coffee pot, sheets were filthy. The bathroom ceiling was pouring water th first night. Someone above us was smoking marijuana (it's practically legal, I don't have an issue with it, but I don't want my child exposed to it) and all we could smell when we walked back into our room from the beach was weed. The manager (I think?) was nice, but pretty much useless. You'd let her know the ceiling was leaking, she said 'ok thanks...I'll look into it.' without even looking up to acknowledge who she's speaking to. The evening receptionist spent practically her entire shift outside sitting on the stairs on her cell phone face-timing or yelling over the speakerphone. I'm all about good customer service and getting what you pay for... I should've investigated this property further before I presented my card and paid for this rotting shit hole of a place. It has potential if they'd put money back into it, but they haven't in obviously years. Do NOT recommend this place to anyone unless you want to change your own sheets, stand under a leaking ceiling and see green, floating mold and old coffee in the coffee pot. Gross.

My daughter stayed there this week and accidentally left her keys. I called earlier and was told they had been found and that they would be able to mail them to me I just needed to email them my address. I then got a response stating that the manager said they would not mail the keys and asked if I was coming back to Ocean City anytime soon. I have no idea why a motel in a vacation town (where people generally don't visit frequently) would not be willing to mail belongings back to somebody, especially since I offered to pay any shipping costs. I tried to call again and talk to somebody, but the girl who answered the phone was clueless, said I had to talk to the manager, but could not even tell me when the manager would be in next. This is incredibly unprofessional of them, and I definitely do not advise doing business with them.

Worst place ever!! Absolutely disgusting!! They are charging outrageous fees to stay here and you are in a 10x12 room where the refrigerator doesn't work and you do the bed check and the underlayment is torn to sheds.. Brought this to management and they hid in the back office. Do not book here!! Booking.com is crazy for allowing this!! Lost customer!!!!.. Plus over $200 per night on their sight....

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. Room was dirty, hair all over the shower when we got there. Bed had stains sheets had stains did not look sanitary. We paid an extra $100 for a room with a view and a balcony ended up on the first floor with no view & no balcony. Also there were crickets in the ceiling & god knows where else they chirped all night. Walls were also paper thin you can hear everything going on in the next to you & above you. Do not go to this hotel or spend money to stay here. Absolutely disgusting. If you want a good cheap stay stay at the burgundy, great service, clean rooms & a pool.

My son stayed here with some friends. He said the location was good and the staff were nice. However, the towels were thin and had blood stains on them, the room smelled like mold and he felt dirty just being in the room.

Booked a room at the spindrift motel for July 26th- July 28th after a 7 hour drive we didn't arrive until 9:30 pm when we checked into our room we decided to check for bed bugs before bringing any of our belongings into the room with us and sure enough 2 minutes into stripping the beds down we found bed bugs. We went to the office and explained to the person at the front desk what happened we even showed him pictures of what we found so he decided to move us to another room which we also immediately found bed bugs in. We took the worker to our room and showed him a bed bug that we found. Apparently the front desk worker did not have authorization to process a refund and the only way to contact a manager is by email which is exactly what we did to try to get a refund so we would have money to stay at another hotel for the weekend the manager refused to come in and told us to come in the morning to talk with her about getting a refund. Well with almost no money and hardly any hotels available on such short notice we struggled for hours to find a place to sleep that night. We finally did. Morning came and we tried to contact the manager again by email and at this point she stopped responding. We showed up at the motel again at 11 am as she told us to and the front desk worker said she would not be in. We called the police with our proof of bed bug infestation in the hotel and tried to get our refund that way but there was nothing they could do to help since it is a civil matter. Long story short believe every review that you read about this place being infested with bed bugs and about them being unwilling to refund if you do find bed bugs in your rooms, DO NOT book with the spindrift motel. Me and my friends were extremely disappointed with what we found, the $622 lost, and the way the situation was handled by the motel manager. We are definitely not looking forward to taking this to court but we have already begun the process, this place WILL be shut down until the bed bug infestation is taken care of and we WILL get our money back.

I don't even want to give this hotel one star. The bathrooms at Walmart are more sanitary ! The first night we found BED BUGS we immediately left. Trying to get a refund from this place was a nightmare! I had to call the bank and report them after being told I would get refunded and then days later being charged for the room. This place is so dirty. There was black mold on the doors and in the freezer. The carpet had not been vacuumed in a very long time. Our first day of vacation we wasted 4hrs at the laundry mat washing and drying all of our stuff ( of course we wasted our money paying to do so). Our first day was wasted! I felt like I needed a shower just walking into the place. When we took one of the bugs down to the front desk the worker there could have cared less. He said "I can't do anything so just come back in the morning." We had to scramble to find another hotel last minute, leaving us with little money to go shopping or out to eat. This was a big disappointment. If you consider staying here PLEASE DO NOT!!

Bike event 2016. Room 307. Paid 420 for a thur fri stay. The room wasn't filthy but dated. The beds had plastic covering the mattress. It had fake wood floor which doesn't feel as bad as dirty carpet can. If it's moped. The bathroom was pretty gross. Nothing cleaned well. One towel had stains on it. Guess bleach is expensive there. The toilet leaked around the bowl. F in gross. Every time we flushes got worse. Used a towel as a tampon. Trying to be as fair as possible. Maybe for a normal week this might be ok for a group of guys. But the amount we paid you'd expect more. The kitchen area had a few cups and plates but no thing complementary. No coffee for the coffee maker. Cheap motel bar soap is all that was in the bath. I would never take my family here. This was just a dying motel screwing the bikers. Lucky I gave it 2 stars. Seems a lot of oc motels are run by sht heads squeezing the last bucks out of thier shty business
