My bill went from $70 to $500/month. They came out to replace meter and the bill went back down, but apparently I'm still on the hook for the bad meter results as they said that "falls in line". No one keeps their word to call you back. You spend more time re-opening cases and trying to get answer other than "Falls in line." and "we've closed your case" Good luck. Awful. 1 Star is too many.

Called to get the gas turned back on to a building under construction that needs heat, nope, can't make it out for 5 days?? Literally takes 20 mins or less but can't make it for 5 days, that is ridiculous service! Turning heat on to a building seems like high priority to me but that makes to much sense.

Unfortunately there's only one company we can use to supply gas to our home. When we got a new HVAC system we started to see the difference on our bill. After our first bill we received a letter stating that we were being under charged. Lousy😠

THIS MONEY HUNGRY MONOPOLY HAS NO HUMAN MORALS! I have 2 kids, 7 years and a 10 month old and when it was 40 degrees outside this company shut off my gas without my consent. I have been paying all the bills that I have received every month for the last 15 years and have all records. They said that I was illegally using gas because they forgot to bill me correctly for the last 6 months and now they expect me to pay for 6 months worth of charges, taxes, fees, gas usage with a drop of a hat. They are now saying it will be 2 days before they can turn my gas back on, and even after 2 hours on the phone with multiple personnel, still no satisfaction on my end or sympathy on their end. They told me that a supervisor or a manager will contact me in possibly a few days because there was 100 people ahead of me and they call complaints in the order they receive them. I now see why there are 100 people ahead of me. The monopoly that they run they know that they are high and mighty and do not care of customer service because they know we cant pick another company to use.

In 2016 I had a balance of 200 plus dollars in collections with Aargon (the agency that they used While still under Laclede). Now since they are spire I still owe what I paid. When I called their new collection agency DetNext who has no knowledge of me owing anything. They wanted proof that I paid. When I sent them the proof that I paid their last agency in the full amount, now what I paid wasn’t enough because I owed 500 versus the 298 that was originally sent to me. Oh and no one knew of this 500 until I sent over the information that my account was paid in full! I really feel I should contact a lawyer and take this further because I know they’re trying to extort me for more money. Plus their Supervisor was very rude even while I was still being nice and calm throughout the entire conversation. They do us this way because they are the only gas company in MO but I refuse to allow this to stand.

I would love to know who just answered the phone for me because the customer service was absolutely terrible. Sooooo rude for no reason. Probably why she never mentioned her name. Brand new customer and If I could get service through someone else I would. Zero stars!!!!
