"The Royal Festival Hall is a fitting setting for the second outpost of Spiritland, the music-focussed restaurant and bar. As with their King’s Cross location, this spot is moodily lit and full of a wide-spanning menu that jumps from sweet and sour pork belly to a kohlrabi, orange, and fennel salad. The drinks menu is extensive, which is perfect for when someone is on the decks in the evening, and the kind of experimental but all-encompassing menu makes it a bit of a no brainer whoever you’re with. It’s especially useful for when you’re on the South Bank, desperate for somewhere that’s not a chain restaurant filled with demonic children. Which could just be an us problem, but feels like an all of us problem." - Jake Missing

We were walking around the Southbank last night and decided to eat at the Royal Festival Hall Spiritland. We sat outside with a view of the Southbank Food Market. We weren’t expecting much but really enjoyed the food. We shared veggie options: tacos, Mac n cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, fries and corn bread. All lovely diner-style food. Great service. Fabulous location.

This is a very exclusive bar restaurant! It has its own custom made sound system and the sound quality is unbelievable! Ofcourse the contribution of the top djs is significant to the actual result. I spent all Sunday afternoon listening amazing selection of music and enjoyed the delicious dishes of this place. There is an artisan cocktail bar and an open kitchen area that you can actually watch your food getting prepared by skilled chefs. The service is excellent and attentive. This is one of the most elegant and relaxing bar restaurants in town. This place has a class of its own! Highly recommended.

One of my favourite places in London to eat and drink but 100% my favourite place to listen to music! The care and attention to detail paid to the PA and sound installation pushes the venue to another level. The brunch menu is varied and every dish I’ve tried has been super fresh and delicious. The mocha is amazing. Great service.

Recently opened restaurant at the back of the Royal Festival hall. Went for lunch and enjoyed the food and very friendly service. Will be back to try some of the other dishes. Love how they designed the space and the focus on music. It's looks absolutely fabulous and deserves a visit!

Swanky, classy venue with a good ambience. A great night out supporting quality DJ's. A bit cheeky turning off the draft beer to maximise on can and bottle sales. Apart from that we had a good time

While bing connoisseur of hi-fi audio was not able to find any advantages in the food menu. I think food is the weak point so far at this place. Shrimp ceviche was so simple that demanded some extra spices. Shrimp burger was with something mashed inside remotely reminding shrimps. Service i think also weak point. Water was offered after special request. I’ve asked the guy to charge phone he said it is not possible unless I have a cable. But I was able to land it to guys at the bar!? Thing you come here for Audiophilie sound System and a cocktail which is spotless! But eat better at the market outside!

My friend and I was in the area to have a mooch around Southbank and to see the hub of activity that often descends that area, especially as it was a couple of days before Christmas! We popped into Spiritland for lunch. It was Monday 23rd and it wasn't too busy when we got there. It was decided we would order a mix of plates and share, so glad we did! Kedgeree was delicious, the right amount of curry flavour and spices, flaky fish, well seasoned with a gooey egg on top. The red quinoa, beetroot, almonds salad with additional mackerel was fresh and well balanced with loads of different texture and flavour. Then a portion of their Cacio e pepe "cheese & pepper" pasta. Creamy but not cloying with the right balance of pepperiness and al dente pasta. Good ambience, a consistent trickle of tourists and locals came through the doors and as our lazy lunch spread over a long period of time, not once did we feel hassled or rushed in any way. We will be back!

Yelp
This place is kind of hidden from the other restaurants near Southbank Centre. Great ambiance and decor with music playing through speakers from an actual vinyl record player. The service is excellent and so is the food. For starters we had the hummus and pitta. The pitta is served fresh and warm to go with the chick pea hummus. Must try the 28-day old angus beef cheeseburger. Wow! So big and juicy. Might I also add that the sirloin steak is mm mm good! Good job chef! Can't say enough about the service here.
