Spitz - Cottonwood

This is a great fast-casual place. The baklava is awesome. The best value per dollar are probably the bowls, but the gyro was very good despite being on the smaller side. Our crew had a good time here and we’ll definitely be back. Edit: went here again, adding a more flattering photo of the gyro and baklava with side salad.

The food was delicious and super fresh, filling and healthy. Came back two days in a row for lunch after skiing. Highly recommend their street cart fries and the falafels! They can make everything vegan. Their service was really friendly and fast, the place was sparkling clean. Would highly recommend coming.

Clean restaurant with fast service and fresh tasting food. Sweet potato waffle fries and Berliner doner mixed meat wrap were delicious.

Used to love Spitz, but I agree with the other reviews that it seems to be going downhill. The last couple times I’ve been, I’ve gotten a döner wrap and been shocked at the difference between advertised and what I got - much skimpier (the wrap itself looks like half the size of what’s pictured on the site) and the overall portion for what you pay in a $21 combo with fries and drink is absurd. Not sure I’ll be back.

This place definitely values the winter time ski and snowboard folks more than it's summertime counterparts I came in on a Saturday late afternoon with my family it seemed like three people were running this joint. It was really hard to get someone just because of how much demand everyone else was asking for them so just be careful when you go to this particular one I would highly recommend the one on sugarhouse that seems more well staffed. Food was great Loved everything and they were extremely patient with my son who is a toddler.

I had a falafel remix bowl and sweet potato waffle fries. Both were great!

Food here is always good. Fries are crisp and tasty. The last time I was here though, the garlic aioli and hummus had a weird vinegary taste that took away from its flavors. Hope they take a look at it and correct.

This was our first—and definitely last—visit. To be fair, part of the blame is on me. I ignored the obvious red flags. First: no greeting from the woman working there—unless you count the near-contemptuous look she gave us as we approached the door. Second: a guy sitting at a nearby table bumped me with his chair on his way out and didn’t say a word. No “excuse me,” no “sorry”—nothing. Third: after we sat down, the same woman didn’t tell us we had to go to the counter to order. After I placed the order, she brought the food, but never checked in to see if we were enjoying it or needed anything else. As for the food, the ideas behind the menu choices are quite good. Unfortunately, the food itself was quite mediocre. We were in town for work. We're from Las Vegas and eat out a lot. We've never felt more unwelcome in any restaurant than we did at Spitz Cottonwood. My advice? Skip it and eat next door at Bandit’s Grill and Bar. Friendly staff, great service and terrific food.
