Falafel Greek Gyro combo with Sweet Potato Fries! Great portions, flavorful, and the falafel is fantastic! I ordered pickup. Has an outside patio, and bar venue type restaurant interior. Bustling and busy. Cost was $18.70, Scolipede Plush approved 🐛

Went to this place on Halloween. Ordered two doner baskets with falafel. I quite enjoyed the food! The only thing I would change if I were to come back is I would ask for the fries on the side because they put them at the bottom and they do soak up the dressing. The environment is like a bar with records everywhere. I would say this restaurant has decent vegan options.

Ordered online and picked up. Website was easy to navigate, and they offer some discounts when you create an account. Food was yummy, however ordered a combo with a Greek but there was no dressing on or on the side of the salad which was disappointing. When I walked in the terrace had a nice vibe and cocktails looked yummy.

I can’t get over how delicious Spitz is! It is definitely a neighborhood staple for me. Everything from the wraps to the bowls are delicious. Food comes out quick and the indoor/outdoor seating is enjoyable whatever the weather. Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh the food was so freaking delicious. I utilized a delivery service. I ordered a Doquito. I decided on only ordering one because I had never eaten here. I am so grateful I did that. There was so much, there’s no way I would have been able to eat 2. I also ordered a Greek side salad. Oh my goodness I’m a 100 certain I’m going to love it as well. I wish I was better at describing food. Because I know that it would be more beneficial if I could be more descriptive. I can’t believe I slept on this place. I’ve lived in the neighborhood 6 years I don’t know how long it’s been open but I’m so glad I decided to go with this place tonight. I also ate it before I took a picture but it looked so good as well.

Good food. Nice staff. Just know that if you order online for pickup, the text notification that your order is ready is never right. Factor in 5-15 minutes after the text for your order to actually be ready. I've ordered pickup many times and it has never been ready if I get there within 5 minutes of the text. I've been told there's some sort of automatic flag that does that. Regardless, it's good food. Just make sure you're not depending on that notification timing being accurate if you need to time it with something.

Spitz is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant that was recommended by some fellow work colleagues and it did not disappoint! The food is so flavorful with such great spices, and all of it was a big hit at a Fall Get Together work event. My husband and I have ordered lunch to go since, and he loves the Street Cart Doner wraps!! So good! The fried pita strips with hummus and the baklava are must haves too. We are looking forward to our next lunch date at Spitz on Killingsworth again.

As a vegetarian it's hard to find a filling and tasty meal. The falafel here are so moist and delicious, the OG gyro hits the spot every time. It's nice to find a place in the hood that is reliable and fast! Plus, ordering directly through them gets you rewards that add up fast!

I went there with couple of my friends on a Sunday lunch, it wasn't busy. There were more people in the outside tables than inside. It looked very spacious, eclectic place with colorful posters. The menu looked good and interesting with many options for - vegans, vegetarians and also non-vegetarians. There is also a bar area, where we have to put our orders in. The water station is right across so its basically a self service station. We tried the vegetarian and vegan Doner Baskets and they were pretty good.

I've picked up large catering orders from this location many times. The customers I've delivered to always raves about the food. It looks like a cool place and I kept thinking I would like to dine here. I dine with a small group every couple of months or so. I told them when it's my turn, I'm choosing Spitz. The restaurant has a fun and colorful decor. Order at the bar and they bring the food out to your table. It was a really warm day, so we chose to dine inside. They do have a nice outdoor area for when it's not too hot. We sat at a booth with nice padded seats. The menu has something for everyone, with clear labeling. I am vegan, so I appreciated the vegan menu section. My friend is vegetarian, and the two other friends are omnivores. I ordered the vegan doner bowl. It comes with fries, falafel, hummus and other Mediterranean items. It was good, but the next time I order it, I will sub rice for the fries. Service was awesome. My iced tea was refilled several times. There's a newly opened Spitz near my house and my sister and I are already planning to go!

Spitz was near our motel & we were looking for vegan fare before heading to the airport. We were most pleased with our food here. We ordered the vegan donner basket, the vegan gyro and a greek salad. The multitude of flavors and textures were so pleasing! Ambiance is causal, service was efficient. We will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Portland. We went there close to opening on a Sunday, but parking was convenient and plentiful in the neighborhood.

I drive by this place all the time and finally decided to check it out and oh my god, it was phenomenal. So many veggie options. We got the mediterainian falafel wrap - it was so flavorful. That said, as basic as it may sound - the fries stole the show for me and I can't stop thinking about them. The staff was all so super inviting and helpful and the space was cute and vibey - perfect place for a little date night. Highly recommend.

I never really eat Mediterranean food in Portland but the food here wasn't bad. Pretty normal price. I got the feta doner wrap and it was okay. I didn't really taste the feta. My partner got the bowl and I wish it had had more rice. The meat portion was decent but overall nothing special. This place could be vibey on a sunny day.

Happy New Year! Stopped in on New Year's day to meet family. I was very surprised with the menu. We ate too much food which is a sign of good food. Everything was cooked perfectly. Seasoned to perfection. The young lady serving us was very cool. The restaurant wasn't crowded, especially after the NYE's parties. She was fresh and prepared for any amount of people. She explained the menu, which had some different than usual items on it than I was used to eating. The fries with gyro meat was one. The was right about them being great. The music, the decorations were all on point. My first time was a good time. I will be back again.

We came - We sat - We Ate!!! We had the fun opportunity to meet up with different family member (while a few were in town) to have an early lunch together. WE had never been here before. Awesome vibe.It was welcoming, casual but a bit quirky, Ok, very Portland. On this day (New Years Day) there seemed to be a lot of Uber or delivery pickups. The menu is a great mix of Mediterranean but with a bit of a fusion mix. I really had fund figuring out what I wanted to eat. A gyro lamb wrap and chicken wings and oh - I guesses we ate our daughter's order of Gyro Lamb fries (oops - did we eat them all!!) The service was attentive. We were one of two groups in the restaurant, all the rest seems to be to go orders. Reasonable price for the quality of the food. While I probably wouldn't drive (again) from the SW side of Portland, I would definitely stop in and grab a bit to eat when I am in the neighborhood and hungry. Thanks for the hospitality, great attofmpshere and good quality food.

Portland does not have a shortage of Mediterranean and wrap type places, but this is another good one. The Doner Wrap hit the spot for me.

I love this place, the food is all so good (especially the pita chips) and it's pretty reasonable. The service was amazing and I love that there's outdoor seating.

My husband and I weren't in 100% agreement about Spitz. The menu looked great and the people seemed friendly enough. Except it wasn't obvious you had to go order at a counter. They brought us menus and then we sat and sat, waiting for someone to take our order. If they had a sign when you walk in indicating how to order, we totally missed it. Finally we waved at somebody and he said he could take our order. I got the Mediterranean wrap, and my husband the doner bowl. My wrap was too salty and I didn't like the texture of hummus on the wrap either. So I wouldn't get that again. My husband's doner bowl was a little salty too. And the French fries didn't do much it, as his meal also came with fries. He did like his bowl overall, however. The fries were delicious though. Nicely seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Update: I submitted my review weeks ago to the powers that be (as suggested by the person who responded on behalf of the business) and I have heard nothing. They said they wanted to "make it right". Thanks for wasting my time! It really makes up for the crappy meal! I most definitely will not be back.

Got a falafel sandwich for delivery. The garlic aioli was excessive and made me feel kind of nauseous after eating 1/2 a sandwich. Also needed a little kick of spice. Ended up tossing the other 1/2 as I totally lost my flavor for it and everything just tasted of garlic. Prolly won't order from again.

I love spitz! Everything is so flavorful and I love the different sauce options. My favorite is the vegan gyro but everything I've tried here has been great!

we wanted something fresh & healthy-ish for dinner so we decided to give this place a try. we ordered through Uber Eats & it did not disappoint. the veggies tastes great & the tzatziki sauce was delish! i wish i had more of the sauce honestly haha. i'm not a fan of balsamic so i didn't use that sauce. then the falafel balls were perfect! not dry, had a good crunch & flavor to it.definitely will be ordering from here again & im sure in person too can't comment on the service or ambiance since we ordered thru an app

Falafel everything for the win! Love their green "hot" sauce. It's basically blended Serranos, I think, which goes sooo well with just about everything. Drown me in it

Order: chicken gyro w/ frys Pros: the restaurant is clean and looks brand new. They've been open 5-years lol!!! I loved the location and the seating area. Oh and the music was a vibe!!! Cons: the gyro was not my favorite. The red sauce was not good and it over powered the Taziki sauce. The chicken was dry. They also had french frys in the gyro, which made the gyro taste mushy.

The food was sooo good! We ordered take out and ended up sitting inside. Our food was ready when we got there and the vibes were dope inside! There's seating both inside and outside with really fun interior decorations. I'd really recommend trying this place out!

We went to spitz on Sunday night and we placed the order on the bar. They gave us a number to put on our table.This place has Mediterranean food which I feel refreshed to my taste. They bring the dishes to us. I like the colorful bowl but I might request a spoon for my next visit.

This review is for a delivery order from Spitz. Pulled up Uber Eats and saw that Spitz was offering a special. We thought we'd give it a try. We got a gyro and a Donner sandwich with fries and drinks. The sandwiches were great taste wise. They weren't filled with as much meat as other places but still quite good. The fries were delicious. We had iced tea and lemonade. The lemonade was not overly sweet which we liked. I can't speak to the service but I will say that our order was packed well. Even the drink had some tape over the top so it wouldn't spill.

Had lunch here for the first time today with friends. Was greeted warmly when we first walked in. Placed our orders and even though the place was busy, we were surprised at how quickly the food was served! And everything was delicious! I had the Doner salad with lemon herb dressing and the pita strips with hummus. Two friends tried different bowls off the menu and the other had a wrap - they said everything was so good! Will be back!

I love this place! It's fast service and great food with a nice patio. I usually get the doquitos which are fried so crispy and delicious! Their salads and gyros are tasty too!

Pulled up to Spitz when I saw a post about Cava (a chain on the east) and went to see if we had one. Well, it was permanently closed but PDX Eats made a recommendation about Spitz. All their reviews were relatively high so I pulled up on a Friday evening. Vibes were vibing. Low light, good music, Halloween movies on TV, and bar, indoor, and outdoor seating. I took forever to go over the menu, and with recommendations from Krystal (the bartender), I started with a side salad. The lemon-herb tahini dressing was so good! After that, I tried the Berliner bowl with chicken. They initially messed up and gave me quinoa instead of rice, but the chefs in the kitchen cooked the quinoa perfectly. The green sauce- zhoug as it is named, was delicious! So good, I wanted to try and make it at home! (Haven't tried yet, though!) But, nice spot, good food, was able to find front door street parking, and will bring friends to try when they visit!

I love Spitz! Ingredients are fresh and the portion sizes are healthy! Come hungry, for sure. Looking forward to trying the wraps. I kept seeing them come out of the kitchen and they look magnificent.

I got the chicken gyro, and it was by far one of my favorites! I got extra tzatziki sauce for it and that made it even better. The chicken was delicious and the pita was perfect. I also got the fried pita with hummus. The hummus was delicious and the pita strips were good. I'd like if there was an option for just a pita without it be fried, but the fried was still really good. And I did delivery so I'm sure if I were in the restaurant they wouldn't have minded to just bring me a non fried pita for the hummus. I highly recommend giving them a try! I wish I was here longer so I could check out their other items.

I love Spitz! We can always get healthy delicious vegetarian food, plus delicious fries that satisfy your comfort food cravings. I just love this place - we order from them directly so we don't need to deal with third party apps.

I have enjoyed food from Spitz on 3 different occasions over the past 8 months. Each time was excellent. They are consistant with their food and they are very helpful and kind. If there was a way to reverse the fans so they were not blowing down on us I would do that. That is just me. Don't let that stop you. They have an outside area as well. It was pretty full so I choose to sit inside. A great place.

GET THE WINGS. It was our first time in, we got a dozen wings, side of fries and hummus. The wings were the best we've had in portland, even better than the more popular wing joints here. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, just right! Fries seasoned and fried to perfection along with all the sauces. Not gonna lie their hummus isn't great, it kind of just tastes like you mashed chickpeas, very chunky and dry, no seasoning or oil. Something that I would totally pass on next time. Their Hibiscus drink is super delicious. Customer service is great, the place is so cute, vibey and clean. I really enjoyed it all in all. Can't wait to go back :)

We placed our order through the app and it was ready so quickly! We ate at Spitz and loved the outdoor atmosphere. Food was also devine!

To be fair I haven't tried anything else but the fries. THE FRIES ARE SO GOOD!!! I'm kinda a picky eater so I can't speak for anything else.

I would do 5zzz.... But damn the phone etiquette is atrocious. But damn.... That's how it goes.. so just don't try to communicate through normal voice.. only participate through clear written communications. I feel so sad for their hosts and hostesses. But happy they have jobs!

Was in town and thought I'd try this place. Firstly the vibe is amazing! The interior is really cool. The doner salad is a standout dish! Spitz is consistently amazing. It's my go-to in the neighborhood. Everything is so fresh, and the portions are very generous. My favorite thing to order is the Doner Basket with falafel, it's perfect bc it has a little bit of everything in there. We've eaten here for years and have never had a negative experience.

I am not a big fan of Mediterranean food, however, Spitz, is a place I would definitely be coming back! Amazing service and such a great place to grab a drink and a quick bit with friends. For the price of both of the meals with got, we did indeed receive quite a lot of food. Although it was a lot of food, the meals had lots of flavors and definitely super filling. I loved the fresh vegetables that pair well with the meat and the fries. Excited to go back to try more cocktails and the gyro!

This place has such flavorful food with amazing prices!! I ordered online for the first time and even got a 10%!! The food was made super quick, and when I arrived I fell in love with how gorgeous the restaurant was. It had lovely outdoor seating and nice bar inside. The food was so fresh and the portion sizes were amazing!!!

I've been ordering dinners from Spitz for years. I can only speak to the vegetarian options which there are plenty of. The bowls, salads and wraps never disappoint. My favorite is the Remix bowl with a side of fries or fried pita chips. Spitz also has delicious sangria and creative cocktails. The atmosphere is fun and festive with a nod to urban art and music.

The food is always tasty with lots of variety! My partner feels too messy and too much feta and salty and I felt the quantity is getting smaller and smaller for the bowls. Always amazing fast service! The people are always so kind and friendly. I like the flavor of all the sauces especially the garlic aioli and the fried pita was really good this time. Previous times were too hard and chewy and this time was soft and slightly fried and yummy.

The location was easy to find, the staff was nice, and the food arrived within a solid time frame. We stopped in for dinner on Saturday night and had no issues placing an order and sitting outside on the patio; the inside was fuller and there was A TON of takeout orders while we were there. We ordered the Doquitos with Beef & Lamb, the Zesty Feta Doner with chicken, and the street fries mixed with waffle and regular fires. Overall, the food tasted fresh, and the textures were amazing, but the flavors were very similar between these three dishes. After you place your order at the bar they give you a number-table-topper and you choose your own seat. When the food arrives, they will bring it to your table. You are required to bus your table after and need to go to the bar to get refills as well. We will try this place again and venture into different dishes since we did enjoy the ambience and vibes from the restaurant location, and staff. Also, they do have a full bar a well with a ton of local beers on draft

I agree with what a lot of the other reviewers were saying, really good portion sizes. And, the food was delicious! The bowls were perfect after a Yoga class I took nearby. And, something I wasn't expecting, and was surprised at how delicious their French fries were! I got the sample of the traditional fries, and the sweet potato waffle fries. My mistake, was getting the "Small order" instead of the Large Order! I definitely should have ordered more, so I could have shared with my hubby. But, the distinguishing factor is that these fries were equally delicious cold as warm. Most people struggle with trying to re-warm up fries later, and they are never as good as the first-go. But, these fries from Spitz were delicious, even cold! I highly recommend.

Really love this place, but for the love of god, please put ketchup out for customers. This place is too busy to have to wait in line to ask for ketchup 3x because it never comes. Also could benefit from a fountain machine, because same reason. Plus fountain soda is just way better than bar gun soda.

Heard good things about this place but didn't expect to like it as much as I did! I got the Berliner Bowl with Chicken. I love the variety of ingredients and components that they add to the bowl; it keeps the eating experience fun with each bite. From charred sweet corns, pickled veggies, coleslaw, quinoa, pita chips to the succulent grilled chicken, everything was super fresh and nicely flavored. The bowl was also deceptively filling. It looked small at first but a bowl will definitely satisfy you. Also, we got to tall about the sauces, the tzaziki and the red sauce. Again, super delicious and fresh. Not sure what the red one is but I totally would buy a jar of it. Got a side of Falafel and Hummus and Beef and Lamb Gyro as well. The Hummus was tasty and smooth; it went very well with the rest of the bowl. So was the Falafel which stayed crispy even with taking out. One thing I noticed about the food here is that they do their seasoning/flavoring just right; not bland, not overly salty. Their Beef and Lamb Gyro might be the best tasting one I've had in town. With the myriads of options they offer, you really can't get bored of this place. Super fun but tasty options. I wish they're closer to me so I can regularly dropby for a quick lunch.

Stopped by for a drink. After seeing the dishes and smelling them pass by our table, I wished I wasn't already full. Will be back for dinner and drinks! Perfect mood for a date night.
