Vegan pastries are a rare find. That’s one of the biggest reasons these are special. Each pastry is also attractive, fresh, and delicious. Be sure to ring the bell for service. Highly recommend the mango galette and jalapeño cream cheese galette.

Google
Had bad customer service , a girl with dark hair , I used to love coming here because I’m vegan.. and the pastries were cute looking. Now that it’s been more than twice it’s hard to support this business. I’ve ordered online , and so has all my family members, friends, and we have all gotten the same experience when picking up our orders.. I’ve gone to this bakery since it first was open and have always supported it. Not sure why your response is so unprofessional. I’m not mistaken on the bakery .

Google
When I come to CA, I’m always looking for a new vegan bakery to try.. 😋 SPLIT BAKEHOUSE 10/10! My gosh.. everything I bought was delicious. The best part is the delicate balance of sugar in it all. You’d think the Pineapple Passionfruit Cruffin may be very sweet - nuh uh! Flaky, tastes like a real fruity jelly inside. Excellent attention to detail and pastry skills! The woman at the front window was sweet, patient, and helpful - she even told me what’s best to enjoy same day and which ones can be enjoyed in the next couple days. ❤️

Google
The largest variety of vegan baked goods we've ever seen! We ended up getting a selection and each item was incredible. Can't wait to be back in SD mostly to visit this bakery again!

Google
I used to love this bakery, but it's really frustrating that they no longer offer counter service. Now you have to order everything in advance, which completely takes away the spontaneity and joy of stopping in for a fresh treat. Sometimes I just want to see what's available and grab something on the spot, like a real bakery experience. The new system feels impersonal and inconvenient, especially for regular customers who miss the old charm.

Google
I love their pastries — especially the spinach one — but the ordering system is a mess. They used to have a walk-up window (simple and normal), but now it’s pre-order only. Craving something? Too bad — you should’ve planned that 2 days ago. Missed the pre-order? Now you have to hunt down a café partner on their site and cold-call them to see if they have it. Not exactly convenient. Great product, frustrating experience.

Google
Got the cinnamon roll and blueberry lavender scone. The scone was so bad. Like laughably bad. It was dry and had no flavor, tasted like cardboard and has a weird aftertaste. The cinnamon roll was better, edible. Also weird aftertaste. Cinnamon roll tasted like it was baked vs the scone tasted like it came out of packaging. I’ve had so many vegan desserts and these are so sad in comparison. Would never come back here and I can’t imagine why anyone would.

Google
Garbage! Not edible. $30 For 4 items One bite and straight to the dumpster! I've been vegan for 10 years and I cannot recall a food experience that was this bad! I sat with this since Monday morning, and I took 2 days to decide whether or not to express my sorrow and regret of trying out Splithouse bakery for the first time.

Yelp
The pastry is amazing!!!!! The cream cheese danish and the pop tart were my favorite!!! The service was nice. You ring the door bell and they come to this little window you order and then they go to the back and get it . There isn't really an ambiance it's like a little pick up window .

Yelp
SPLIT Bakehouse is a really cute walk-up vegan bakery in the Grossmont Center mall. Their photos on Yelp looked so good I had to try it. When you get there, you should ring the bell next to the door and someone will come up to the ordering window for you. After you've ordered, they will box them up for you and give them to you through the window. My friend and I ordered several things, including a carrot muffin, a raspberry poptart, and a lemon custard cruffin. We ordered three pastries and from my memory I believe it was about $22. We did not enjoy the carrot muffin - it was very chewy and did not have a similar consistency to non-vegan carrot cake. The lemon custard cruffin was delicious and definitely our favorite. lastly the raspberry pop tart had a delicious crust and raspberry topping, but the inside of it was almost completely hollow, and there was hardly any raspberry filling in it at all.

Yelp
Was having breakfast at Kensington cafe, and noticed that people would come in and just order lattes with a pastry to go instead of sit down to eat a big breakfast. I was intrigued, so I checked out the case and learned that this cafe sources their pastries from SPLIT in Grossmont Center. We had to pick up a box and it was tough to narrow down our choices. All looked amazing! See video of various selections. We were happy with our choices. The scone was even moist! Singing high praises for these pastries, kudos to the owner of SPLIT.

Yelp
I placed an order online and picked up my goodies at Camp Coffee Roasters in Oceanside - figured I wasn't missing out on much in terms of ambiance since this business is just a pickup window ;) Overall I was a bit disappointed and would try a different bakery in SD next time instead of coming back here. What I ordered: Cheeze Danish: 4/5 - not my usual type of dessert but I don't come across vegan versions often! It was sprinkled with sugar which I could've done without. Brownie: 3/5 - my husband's choice, I'm not really a brownie person and this one didn't do much to move the needle Croissant Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Spread: 1/5 - terrible, the filling tasted bitter and almost lemony? I was expecting a Nutella-esque filled croissant but was instead completely confused on whether I was given the wrong thing (I wasn't, matched the photos). Super disappointed as I was looking forward to this one the most. Cherry Pistachio Cruffin: 5/5 - the best of the bunch I tried. I appreciated the real fruit and not just 'cherry flavoring' Cinnamon Roll with Glaze: 4/5 - pretty good, comes in a muffin liner and has the perfect amount of cinnamon-y filling I also got a chocolate chip cookie at Nibble Chocolate. It was soft and delicious though a few more chocolate chips inside would be great - I give it a 4/5. It's nice that Split Bakehouse sells their goodies at several establishments around town.

Yelp
Discovered SPLIT during the pandemic when they did deliveries of their delicious vegan treats. Finally made it over to their little location in the Grossmont Center for some treats. It's a tiny spot with an order window. I've always been greeted by friendly service! So many people freak out when they hear the word vegan, but you would barely know the difference! They have delicious treats from scones to galettes to cookies and other pastries. It's hard to narrow down what you're going to choose! Such a great spot to order from! You can also check out their online website to see their menu and place an online order.

Yelp
In the middle of the shipping center. And only a choice of 4 items. You order at the window. Not what i expected.

Yelp
Every time we enter the food court from the back entrance, I'm intrigued by this pretty pink store front. Almost intimidating because it reminds me of naughty shop because of all the blackout windows, despite all the baking art. My fiancé thought it was a magic shop. I also find it odd that it's such a large store but it's only this little 6x4 space like one of those parking exits where you pay before you get out. The menu are the real life display of the pastries along the window sill. Then you push a button to ring the bell and someone comes out from behind the curtain, open the window for you to place your order. Finally gave it a chance today. I got the orange lavender scone. I'm not a fan of scones because they come across dry to me but some places can make them really moist. Well, this place was not one of them. It's a slight hint of orange flavor in the scone and the lavender is supposed to be in the frosting. I didn't detect any lavender and honestly, I could barely swallow. I had to take a bite with the frosting to get an even balance of saliva just to swallow. The frosting is not even distributed so some parts is just like bread. Reminds me why I don't order scones but I'm a sucker for anything lavender. You'll have to eat it with tea or coffee. The jalapeño cream cheese galette was everything. I'm not vegan but almost forgot it wasn't cheese until writing this very sentence. Taste just like the real thing. It was fluffy and puffy along the edges and the middle was a thin layer of crust with cheese. The girl recommended to pop it in the toaster oven for 3 minutes and top it off with a slice of avocado. OMG, it was already tasty prior to toasting but afterwards, it was even better. Thank you for that tip! They have muffin, cookies, pop tart, biscuit and sweet and savory galettes. The girl said they usually change out the flavors every two months but for the most part, it's the same. I'm sure the space is used for baking. But I would to be able to step inside to get the full experience instead of just stepping up to a window and not seeing them grab my order. Like, is it fresh? How was it stored?

Yelp
The jalapeño cream cheese galette is to die for, a nice place outside to sit and fast service. I wish they sold these online to order so I could buy them to be shipped, crave them all the time.!

Yelp
Best donuts ever!!! Filing (not airy), slight crisp, sweet icing, and even good left over!! First time visiting. Look forward to this in Central Cali!!
google avatar

Nora S.

Yelp
The vegan cheesecake is top tier. Literally the best dessert I've ever had. It doesn't even taste like a "substitute" it's just perfect. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is the service. Nobody is obligated to be cheery 24/7 but it's really awkward feeling like I'm disturbing the people who work here and that's usually the vibe I get.
google avatar

Kat L.

Yelp
The lady who helped me at the window was not so pleasant. She acted as if I had woken her up from a really really good nap! It really surprises me how you want to support small businesses however the customer service lacks. But not just that, she came to the window as if she was doing me a favor. Thank goodness the chocolate chip cookies and raspberry pop tart was actually good otherwise I would have rated it 0 stars. I suggest that the business owner look into this. How employees treat their customers can really affect a business. We have many options to choose from.

Yelp
Faves in order of fave Cheese danish super good would get again Jalapeño croissant tasty and flaky would get again Guava croissant flaky and sweet would get again I've cheese cake: tasty but a very tiny hint of allergic Bread pudding the texture is funny will try heating it next time

Yelp
I have been ordering from split for over a year! From the beginning mistakes and mistakes on my orders. I was very afraid to try something else since my customers are very use to their pastries. But thanks to the owner (Vanessa) and her very poor customer service I'm happy to say that there are much better options out here!! This business don't realize that they are who they are because of us customers, is sad to see how some businesses owners forgot where they come from and think they forever be in a good position. The worse thing you can do as a business owner is not to be humble! Losing my business it may not mean anything to you Vanessa but I'm going to talk about my experience to as much people as possible then that may mean something to you!
google avatar

Yelp
Phenomenally flavorful sweet and savory vegan baked goods that even my non-vegan friends adore. The jalapeño cream cheese galette is my absolute favorite, but everything there is truly wonderful, and the owner and staff are lovely.

Yelp
Horrible service, "Luna" the girl working there had a bad attitude & didn't want to help me 7 mins earlier then the time, she told me to come back & rolled her eyes at me. The bakery was closed & I had to ring the bell twice because the music was so loud.! I had to ask for her name twice bc she was ignoring me. Then she goes behind the curtains, I have no idea what she's doing, she could have thrown my cookies on the floor for all I know , and I wouldn't be surprised due to her bad attitude. l'm very disappointed & discouraged to do any service with SPLIT Bakehouse - @ Grossmont Center Mall Food. I've posted about it on-line & hope that this girl gets disciplinary action for her horrible service/ behavior.

Yelp
Hands down the best vegan bakery in town! The donuts are a taste sensation - delicious AF! From classic to creative, they nail it. A must-visit for vegans and donut lovers alike. Kudos to the bakers - you've created a plant-based paradise!

Michele K.

Yelp
I've heard good things about the vegan pastries and made an order of four items for pickup. Super easy process and there are more options when ordering ahead. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Every item I got was amazing. I'll definitely be ordering again.
google avatar

Yelp
This small hole in the wall vegan bakery has a deceptively large selection. I got an apple butter croissant/muffin mix, chocolate chip cookie, jalapeño galette, and vegan concha. Everything was very well made, fresh, and well packed too.

Yelp
Best vegan bakery in San Diego! My 3 year old loves the cinnamon rolls the best! Can't wait to taste the donuts!

Yelp
The best pastries I've found in many years of being a vegan and living in different cities across the US. Not too greasy, but always moist. I've ordered chef special boxes, where I don't even get to select things I think I'd like, and still have never gotten anything that disappoints. My all time favorites are the garlic spinach pocket, jalapeño cream cheese gallete, and cream filled conchas.
google avatar

Candice L.

Yelp
I loved all their fun unique favors and the various types of parties they had! What amazed me even more was that they were ALL VEGAN!! I would've never guess if no one ever told me. Would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Usually when you tell me Vegan I run the other way. But SPLIT Bakehouse has some amazing Vegan pastries that make me want to come back. My wife and I ordered the Matcha Sugar Cookie, Banana Foster Galette with Caramel, Thai Tea Pastry Cream stuffed Cruffin and Ube Brioche Loaf with pistachios. The matcha sugar cookie was only meh. But everything else we ordered were super yummy. Hands down my most favorite were the thai tea cruffin and ube brioche loaf. The thai tea cruffin was oozing with not too sweet but definitely thai tea tasting flavors. The cruffin was still flaky and moist at the same time which is difficult to achieve. The ube brioche loaf was also oozing with some tasty ube. I love that everything was flavored just right and wasn't too sweet. Can't wait to come back and try their other pastries!
google avatar

Ally G.

Yelp
I'm a devotee and always order too much. I've never had a bad pastry and tried a bunch of different things from scones, danishes, croissants, mini pies - all delicious.

Yelp
Got a chance to come visit the Grossmont Center location for SPLIT Bakehouse - they're currently only using their small take-out window, which can get a bit crowded at busy times as it's right outside the food court, where a lot of foot traffic happens. They have a small display case of what's available - you go up to the window to order, and depending on the size of your order, it can be a quick pay and grab or a longer wait for larger boxes. Bananas Foster Galette w/ Caramel ($5.50): This was absolutely delicious - a must try if you like Bananas Foster. The caramelized Bananas and the Caramel drizzle compliment each other, while having the nice pastry crust balance the sweetness out. Thai Tea Cruffin ($5.50): Definitely one of my favorite things I've had from SPLIT Bakehouse! The Cruffin was delightfully flaky from the Croissant layers, and was perfectly formed into a Muffin shape for ease of eating. The Thai Tea cream was AMAZING!!!! I had to make sure each of my bites had a taste of the Thai Tea as to savor it until the very end. They did have an Ube Pistachio Brioche Loaf on their website, but I was saddened to not see it at their take-out window. Hopefully next time I can get all the goodies I want!

Yelp
By far this is the best bakery place I have been to very good very friendly welcoming. My taste buds were going crazy. Definitely recommend this.

Yelp
First of all, I. LOVE. BREAD. oh and ice cream too! So let's be real, I'm stoked to have SPLIT so close to my house (a 10 min drive) and OMGZZZZ I'm dizzy just thinking about what they have. Not only does La Mesa gets its own vegan, hand crafted, locally owned bakery, and goods are made fresh daily. As evidenced from my photos, I've been many times and each time I leave with lots of treats. I love how they are opened 7 days a week which suits my treat schedule (you know, 24/7 and all).

Yelp
Great vegan and regular non-vegan baked goods. I have enjoyed their products from a melee of location around San Diego, specifically coffee shops and such. Recently, I have been visiting their location at Grossmont Center where the bakery is currently located. They offer a small walk up window and a couple of window displays with there current products etc. On this day, I had the Cheddar Corn Jalapeno Biscuit and a Vanilla Bean Doughnut. Both came out to $8 and change. I crunched on the savory first or the biscuit. I warmed it up in the toaster oven for about 15 minutes. Waiting and heating it up is certainly worth it. It came with a very good amount of vegan cheddar cheese and sliced fresh jalapenos. The biscuit had a good crust and soft center. It was very flavorful, and I loved the way the jalapeno flavor came through nicely. The vanilla bean doughnut, a doughnut I've had before, was terrific. It tasted great and the vanilla flavor was just grand. It's texture was also very soft and delicate. I loved the vanilla frosting a top. Great flavor. The young lady at the front window was friendly enough.

Yelp
I'll start by saying: "I'm not a vegan, BUT"... These are some of the best pastries I've ever had. I'm a hardcore foodie and a carb lover. I've had the rainbow scone, the pop tart and the lemon poppyseed muffin and all three are dreamy. I can't wait to tell all my vegan AND carnivorous friends/family about SPLIT.
google avatar

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
Dry scones. The peach pie reminded me of eating peaches from a can with dry crust, wasn't bad but wasn't really my cup of tea either. Maybe things are better right out of the oven not sure.
google avatar

Marina T.

Yelp
i was always good with split before but i was reminded of a bad experience that i had at the window a couple months back which turned me off to coming back to the grossmont window ever since. I was in line behind a family who knew who i believe was the head pastry chef and asked to call her out so they could say hi. I'm fine with visiting friends and family at restaurants and work but i always make sure that if there are other people waiting that i don't impede their service. That being said, the chef came outside the window and chatted with them, i waited directly behind them for a couple minutes and was never acknowledged even though i was directly behind the chef and family, i was not even given a look up or a "we'll be with you in a second". After a couple minutes of being ignored i gave up and went somewhere else in the food court. It hasn't felt right to go back since and i've let those that ask me know about my experience. If you do go, I recommend seeking them out at a local coffee shop instead

Yelp
Great tasting food. Customer Service is okay. Prices are a bit high. During my pickups, prices and selection did not reflect what was at the actual location, it's kind of a buzz kill.

Lauden L.

Yelp
Their pastries are not the best, but they're good. I went to buy a couple not knowing what to purchase. As they had little selection on their showcase. I was debating on what to get. It seems like the young lady was not in a good mood. She didn't even say hello, hi, not even a smile. I told her my order from the window & she replied " I can't hear you!" How rude! No etiquette! Second, I pointed to the blueberry lemon scone on their showcase, suggesting it's the type of pastry I wanted. ( BTW, It's huge on their display.) When I opened the box, the scone was TINY!!! Compared to the one on their showcase?!! WHAT A RIP OFF!!! Please be careful when purchasing their pastries. If you showcase something, make sure the customer gets the same exact size as the one you display. Also smiling is FREE! Learn some customer service dear. It'll help more with the business. If you don't like your job, leave. Another thing, I always get curious as to what is "behind the curtain" You'll know if and when you go there. I wonder how their pastries are kept, is it clean inside? How fresh are the pastries??
google avatar

Rigo H.

Yelp
I have two dear friends that have fallen in love with this place. It's all Vegan and Gluten-free!!! By the way, if no one told you, you wouldn't know. The cheesecake alone is worth the drive to La Mesa. It's now become the regular place we visit for our store and home pastries. Just delicious!!! We enjoy the rotating dessert's offered.

Yelp
Anytime I go anywhere I look for what bakeries are nearby me... this time it was Split. I didn't realize it was a vegan cafe until I was already walking there with my cold stone ice cream in hand but decided to try it anyways. As you may have gathered from other reviews, yes they're open though it doesn't look like it is. [I know they have a sign but a flashing neon open sign could really do them some good... not all of us are smart out here okay ] Toward the end of the day on Sunday they didn't have too many options left, but I went for the raspberry poptart. [Shout-out to the worker who made sure I understood it was vegan as I was ordering still with my cold stone in hand] It was honestly very good. Not just good for a vegan pastry good, but very good. VERY flaky, almost too flaky actually but nonetheless I'm excited to try out their other offerings and see where they rank on my list. Poptart was $4.75. Not bad.
google avatar

Iman K.

Yelp
So I went to split bake house on Saturday and thoroughly regretted the entire experience. I got to the glass window and rang the doorbell, a worker pops up and takes our order. Then she disappears behind a curtain to grab our pastries. She comes back with our pink box and we pay then have to sign a super grimey iPad that's covered with white dust or sugar or who knows what. Then as I'm signing I notice chocolate on the cashiers thumb, which probably indicates she didn't have gloves on and handled my pastries..... That whole part made me feel uncomfortable as I can't see where my pastries are being stored, what the conditions are like back there, how the cashier is grabbing my items. It just felt shady and weird. When we sit to eat our pastries, I was excited to dig into my croissant. The poor croissant was so old that my head jerked backwards while trying to rip my bite off. It was so chewy. I'm not a pastry chef nor are my standards high and it's even hard for me to tell when food is old. But this old thang should've been tossed at LEAST a day ago. I was pretty livid about being served an old croissant. But it sucked because The guava cheese pastry was soggy and grainy, just not right. The Oreo donut was almost good but again I could taste a staleness to it. And then the chocolate bundt with caramel center was a nice dense texture but completely lacked flavor. It didn't taste like chocolate. So we paid 18 bucks and change for four pastries and I've been to Barrio Donas and gotten a dozen specialty donuts for a bit more.... I'm sorry but I just could never with a good conscience recommend this place or ever go back. Such a shame because it's hard to find fully vegan pastry places.

Yelp
Amazing goods. My customers love your pasties in Julian. Thank you for making such amazing and delicious baked goods.

Yelp
Split Bakehouse has a hybrid menu of vegan and non-vegan baked goods. Lately, they have largely been vegan though! They don't possess a brick-and-mortar so you'll need to track down their treats at one of the many coffee shops they have accounts with all across San Diego, OR order delivery with them through their website. For delivery, there is an order minimum of $30 and they only deliver on Monday's and Friday's (local SD-only). I usually find their treats at coffee shops especially at Jaunt Coffee Roasters in Miramar/ Mira Mesa. It is through Jaunt that I discovered Split. I'm especially in LOVE with their vegan donuts and lemon berry scones. Friday's have hereby been deemed Donut Friday's at Jaunt and I couldn't be more excited for this new regular schedule! Their donuts have definitely increased in size over time and their flavor offerings have turned up a notch. Sometimes, they don't exactly taste like the said flavor (e.g. Ube Coconut Donut), BUT these donuts are always so moist, soft, and fluffy! And because they are more airy on the inside, they are not as filling as your traditional cake donut. My other favorite item, the scones, are a joy, as well, with their somewhat biscuit, crumby exterior and soft, moist inside. I've ordered delivery once through them and was thrilled with my order! It included a GIANT 6 piece vegan herb focaccia bread and two *Ube Brioche Bread Loaves* ($9/ loaf). The focaccia bread lasted me weeks. I had not realized just how big 6 4x4-inch squares would be. It was also thick, so while it was perfect for sandwiches, just cutting one in half and placing toppings over it was the perfect breakfast. The ube brioche possessed a beautiful purple swirl, was so moist and almost milky. I had two of these loaves and devoured them with zeal. Unfortunately, this was a limited seasonal item, so I am sad that is gone (for now). Split has a ton of outstanding, high-quality pastries, so I may have mentioned a few, but you are sure to enjoy anything you try! I'm not strictly vegan, but their pastries are just that amazing. I honestly don't even know I'm eating vegan most of the time.
google avatar

Yelp
This bakery is amazing, i am hooked on their chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies and all the muffins are delicious as well. Finding good gluten free treats is difficult and to find such yummy Gluten Free and Vegan treats is near impossible. Thank you Split for all the goodies. I Just ordered my weekly cookies and muffin's and they will be ready tomorrow.

Ashley M.

Yelp
I was extremely excited to visit this place based off of their website & reviews. Since visiting I noticed their website has been neglected as the menu items are not up to date. The pastry's are thrown in the front windows as the "menu". I ordered a orange lavender scone and it was all orange no lavender & almost a bread texture. The pastry seemed old, the filling seemed artificial not to mention the structure. After placing your order the cashier goes behind a curtain & boxes your pastries. You pay on a powdered sugar covered iPad & are on your way. I will admit it is a little sketchy not knowing the condition of how your food is stored until bought.... If you live 5 minutes away maybe worth giving them another try but I drove 30 minutes to be disappointed and will not be returning.

N. H.

Yelp
I love Split Bakehouse. On two trips down to San Diego I have preordered a smattering of their amazing pastries. My favorites are the flaky pastry ones and also the croissants. And this last time I had the cheesecake. OMG! It is the best cheesecake I have ever had. In addition to all of their goods being tasty AF, they are beautiful too, many with shimmers or glitter on them. I highly recommend trying them and preordering for pickup on their set pickup days at either their main location, or at a few different coffee shops. Or stop by their location at Grossmont and find them right outside the food court and ring the doorbell.

Yelp
what a cute little bakeshop! this place is pretty hard to get to but once you know where it is, it's super easy to find. you can only order what they have displayed in their window for the day if you're ordering in person but it's a wide variety to select from. this was my first time trying out vegan pastries and I'm impressed! the cruffin and morning bun were so flaky and crisp, and the loaf was super soft. the pistachio bun was a little sweet imo and didn't really taste like pistachio. def going to have to come back again to try their other unique flavors!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!! I'm not vegan and the pastries I've had are delicious! Customer service is good she was very helpful with our questions and her recommendations. My new favorite spot!

I ordered the Uber donut, raspberry pop tart, cheesecake, cinnamon roll, and it was all phenomenal. I didn't take pictures because I dug in too fast and didn't stop. The young lady who answered the bell at the window was friendly and calmly answered my questions and made great recommendations based on the fact that I told here I don't really like chocolate. Everything was good not just for being vegan but just really good period. I would be back again and again with my diet restrictions. Come get some of this I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
I'm a Pastry guy: I love me some cookies, scones, muffins, with my cup of coffee. I got the following: banana walnut cookie, this espresso scone, and a "cheddar" jalapeño biscuit. The biscuit was the most pleasurable thing to eat out of the 3. It was savory yet sweet as well with a hint of saltiness. The espresso scone was really subtle and it went great with my coffee. I was planning on dipping the walnut banana cookie in my coffee this morning but I ate it before I had a chance. God this place made some tasty stuff. My vegan wife and I are coming back here. Staff: they were all cool and wore their masks properly. The cashier (she had a rainbow tattoo on her finger) was really great and nice to us. My wife and I spent a whole staring at the display shelf trying to figure out what we're gonna try and the cashier was patient with us. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
Chocolate chip cookie? Amazing Everything else I've had here, also very good (I think there was a raspberry pop tart - delicious). So cute too. Highly recommend for vegans (and non-vegans!)

Yelp
Recently vegan and a MAJOR sweet tooth, Split bakery items are absolutely spectacular and don't miss a beat! My favorites have become the cheese danish, cinnamon rolls and almond croissants. Truly can't go wrong!

Yelp
Hidden bakery window at Grossmont Center by the food court. The most BEAUTIFUL and perfectly delicious pastries. Highly recommend the raspberry pop tart. I love how there's usually a selection decorated with fresh flower petals. So pretty! Excellent gift idea. Some food court patio tables are available just outside the window. They need a better location IMO -- their website has the best map to beeline straight to them.

Yelp
The service here was great, super friendly and talkative. Smelled soooo good I wanted to try it all but got their cake pop and concha. I got the concha because I asked the employee to choose something for me for my first time and I honestly don't like concha's normally. BUT THIS ONE WAS SOOOO GOOD! It's not dry like I'm used to and it was just sooo flavorful! Thank you for the recommendation and I'm glad I was too shy to tell you I didn't like concha's....Looks like I do now :)

Yelp
Got a concha at bird rock coffee, was really good. Went back and got another and found out it was vegan and from this place. Really good, wouldn't have known it was vegan!

Yelp
Wonderful service when doing special orders. While the cheesecake tasted good I failed to ask the ingredients prior to ordering otherwise I would not have ordered it. The cheesecake was made with tofu and soybean oil. I feel that as a vegan bakery they could do better with their ingredients. There are many vegan establishments that charge just as much but create premium products without soy. By the time I got home the box was oil stained. I don't feel the price and the quality is up to my standards.
