"A new vegan breakfast pop-up has begun routine operations inside Red Hat Coffee in the East Village. Spoiled Vegans Cafe serves meatless breakfast dishes ranging from acai bowls topped with fruit to waffle dogs made with gluten-free flour and vegan sausages. Other signature items include waffle stacks with sweet or savory stuffings as well as egg muffins and omelettes made with the mung bean-based JUST Egg substitute. Originally a one-time pop-up, the breakfast cafe was so popular Red Hat Coffee’s management approached Spoiled Vegans co-proprietor Todd Anderson to reach an agreement to open every weekend. Future plans include installing a permanent kitchen and offering a lunch menu. “There is a lack of vegan options in the East Village, especially vegan breakfast spots, so we wanted to bring something new and inclusive to the neighborhood,” said Anderson, who is a neighborhood resident. “What we have is a very traditional vegan breakfast plates that any non vegans can fully enjoy as well.” Spoiled Vegans Cafe operates from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Other itinerant pop-ups at local markets and vegan community events are announced on their Instagram profile, @spoiledvegans." - Mario A. Cortez

I've had food here 4 times. Quality has remained the same since June. Initially orders would open on Wednesday or Thursday for a Saturday or Sunday pickup. They would sell out in less than 5 minutes. I had to wait three weeks before I could try the food first time. It was well worth the wait. Their chimmichuri and maple chipotle sauces are the ones I liked the most. The concept is different and enjoyable. Keep the awesome thing going Todd and Samantha!!

Limited opening times for the smaller family run cafe means longer you have to plan your orders! We have friends that have this every week and it’s delicious! The ‘just egg’ substitute is pretty good, texture and quality of real egg. The hash brown was crispy and not heavily oiled which I prefer.

Okay wow. We placed our order at 8 AM and drove to pick up by 8:30. These sandwiches are bursting with flavor! They’re juicy and filling and very well prepared. We had a chance to photograph the croissant but I ate the chimichurri before I had a chance to capture it. A fun Saturday morning experience for sure!

I highly recommend this place, hands down the best vegan breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had! Their food is air fried and you can really taste the difference.

Holy smokes was this delicious! Their storefront recently opened over on 16th. I recommend placing your order online in advance. They send you a text when it's ready for pickup.

Long wait but well worth it. I mean common, when was the last time you had a croissant? Note to self: eat the hashbrown as soon as you get the bag.

Breakfast sandwiches are probably my favorite food, and I gotta day that this was probably one of the best I've had. The maple mustard really made it great.
