We were walking around The Battery, trying to decide on a lunch spot, and opted for Sports and Social. We approached the hostess podium stationed outside the restaurant, we did not have a reservation and requested an outside table for three. We were seated almost immediately. I  scanned the QR code on the table to pull up the food and drink menu. After a few minutes, our server came by to take our drink order. I ordered the Terrapin High & Hazy, Wifey ordered her favorite Blue Moon, and my daughter ordered a sweet tea. We reviewed the food menu; the options were pretty good, with a good variety but not overwhelming. When our server returned with our drinks, I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with tater tots, wifey ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and my daughter ordered the Classic Cheeseburger with Tater tots. Unfortunately, our outside table was not getting any direct sunlight, but we were still able to enjoy the sights and people-watch. Sports and Social also had a DJ playing some upbeat classics from the '90s. He definitely had us dancing in our seats. I walked around the interior and there was a nice sized bar, games and TVs everywhere. There was an enormous TV screen on the back wall; perfect to watch your favorite sporting event. Our food came out pretty quickly, and we started digging in. Earlier, I asked if the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was spicy, and our server told me it was, and she did not lie. I could tell it was spicy from the first bite. The outer coating was a little chalky, like uncooked flour, but I still enjoyed it. Wifey and daughter also enjoyed their meals. Our server, Prenise, was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return to try some other options.

Nisha was the best bartender! She made my experience so special. The food was delicious and she was super accommodating. 10/10 I recommend

Google
Lively party atmosphere! Great music 🎶 selections .. Wonderful staff! [Justin / the bartender] was the life of our party & made our quick visit a rememorable one! Lots of indoor & outdoor seating & the largest television I've ever seen! 😀 The nachos 😋 are highly recommended!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience thanks to Jade and Haley! Their energy and professionalism behind the bar were unmatched. They were quick, attentive, and crafted some of the best drinks I’ve had in a long time. Jade had fantastic recommendations and made sure I always had what I needed. Haley's friendly attitude made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for great drinks or just a good time, these two are top-notch. Highly recommend!

I had Carly as my server. She was absolutely amazing and was so attentive. She gave my table the best experience and i will definitely request her from now on. Great environment to watch sporting events and NFC fights are awesome.

So I'll start by saying we were there at an off hour and the Braves were out of town, so that is why the place looks a little empty. I've been however on a Braves Game Day and it's a rockin' place. That being said, the food service could have been better. It was not busy, however it took the server forever to bring our drinks and then long gaps in between just checking on us. The sushi roll was great, but probably difficult to share with a table. I had it just as a meal. There is one burger (2nd picture) that is described as being covered in melted cheese (think cheese dip), but instead of it being underneath the bun, they just cover the bun with melted cheese making it VERY difficult to eat. It's unnecessary and a bad idea to say the least. The pretzel was great (hot, salted, soft), but the beer cheese was cold. No Excuse! Overall, the atmosphere can be great, but their service and food is average to poor. Do better S&S.

Google
I had the WORST experience here! I came for the Ohio and Notre-Dame game. We sat at the bar and we only saw our bartender once! She takes people orders and she never came back WTH! I was drinking on my melted ice because she had not come back to check on us. People got up and left the bar because they were not served. I had to ask a random waitress to take my order! Lucky she was nice enough to help! I completely understand being short staffed but at least make a cautious effort to check on your customers. We would have left sooner but we needed to close our tab! At this point by the time she comes back it’s gonna be Tuesday! No way to run a business. If you want to come don’t sit at the bars !!! After speaking up we ended getting great service. But it shouldn’t have to take talking to the manager to get served..

Google
Should I start with the positives or the negatives. LETS GO NEGATIVES. Long waits, weak drinks, not so great experiences. We managed to get a bar top spot and decided to order drinks, apps and 1 main. The drinks were fine, as long as you ordered a beer. The food took 25 minutes to come out, which I guess is fine considering how busy it was for the braves game. What really bugged me is having to ask for plates, napkins and utensils 3x times with no resolution. By the time they brought over this simple ask, my chicken was dry and my rice was hard. When I told the waitress that I wasn’t going to pay for the food at that point, she goes “it’s hit or miss”. This was my first meal in Georgia, straight out of the airport. I’m mortified. Shout out to the nachos, which didn’t require service and were made well. Don’t try to get a real meal here.

Yelp
This is right across from the Braves stadium. It is an open location meaning no real walls all along the front. So if it is brutal hot outside it is warm inside! Huge tv in the main room with bunches of TVs all over. It is a wide open space in the main area... When we came in there was no host... so we went looking... you can't just seat yourself, and there were bunches of tables marked reserved. We found a hostess and got seated... service was good... it was loud in here. We wanted to watch the Braves game but there is a DJ or someone trying to pump up the crowd constantly barking on the mic. It was pretty clear the crowd in here was for the game and aaa not into it but whatever. It was super annoying. Huge bar areas, the main area is giant... another big bar, really open space, there are a couple of more defunded spaces to the left when you enter, there are outside places... and then there is an upstairs. There is a bouncer or a check point four the upstairs... we kept seeing people going up there getting carded... but we didn't go up. The whole time we were here no one sat at the reserved tables... they were just closed off. In fact while we were sitting at our table the waitress came up and put a reserved sign on our table as well. I mean I guess if you want to come here at a certain time you better reserve a table! The food is expensive! I mean $17 for 6 wings expensive! The food was not bad but it certainly was not worth this price. They also did not have one selection of nonalcoholic beer either. A huge bar like this and not one type of na beer. We stayed and watched the game until the 7th and then got out of there before the game let out to avoid the craziness. I'm not sure I would go back. I guess in my drinking days maybe this would have been a good spot but I'm just so past all of that. It was not a great spot to bring my boys to watch the game... but we will try something else next time.

Jerome G.

Yelp
If it's just to watch the game it's a nice screen however the service is really bad. We waited 1 hour seated and the waiter did not acknowledge us even we tried to get their attention. Food is subpar.

Susie H.

Yelp
Great place to watch a game. The main TV is enormous - I think they said 13 feet? So yeah you can see it all. But it seems odd to have such a limited draft menu - although they do have a few Terrapin beers on tap. But $7.50 for a domestic draft isn't that bad at all. It can get LOUD in there during a big game. If you're sensitive to that, this isn't the place for you. Great for groups as a lot of tables have seating for 8. Or if you're flying solo, you can grab a seat at the bar.

Lori T.

Yelp
We sat outside after the early away Braves game on a Thursday... and we had excellent service and AMAZING food. Came from San Diego and we are pescatarians and super picky eaters! But this was fabulous food. Our server was so happy and fun and efficient . We had shrimp and grits to die for.... A beautiful flatbread and an awesome salad . It all tasted great with yummy drinks as well. Very happy!!!

Javier G.

Yelp
Great vibes all around. Braves did amazing job revitalizing this area. Great place for trying the local beers. Will be back! Ashley is amazing, southern hospitality at its finest.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Teach your staff how to pour beer or reduce your prices. She was friendly, but seriously. We don't want to have to under tip her to try recoup some of our money.its your responsibility to make sure she's trained and should know better than to serve that to a customer.

Jackson D.

Yelp
Cleaning table the table are dirty and nasty and the music is so loud and I was not impressed with this place

Kelvin C.

Yelp
They refused to play the Atlanta United playoff game on the big screen for a Tennessee football game. That's very disappointing because online it said they were an Atlanta United partner . I will not recommend this place for Atlanta United fans due to them prioritizing another states game over their own Atlanta United home team !

Yelp
Giving this place 5 stars for great atmosphere & great food! Here to watch a Braves game tomorrow. Arrived in time tonight to catch the game! Ordered Mahi Tacos (absolutely amazing) and Shrimp Po Boy (equally as amazing)! You get a pile of food perfect for an appetite that will get you through a baseball game!

Mike M.

Yelp
Slow service. Sticky table. Was given a broken pen and got ink stains on my shorts. Not exactly a fun time.

Landen Y.

Yelp
I've been in here quite a few times, yesterday we actually sat down and had dinner and beers with friends while we watched the Braves vs the Padres. It wasn't quite as busy as it would be during a home game or post season, so we had no problem getting a table. The food was middle of the road, if I'm being honest, but let's face it- that giant TV is the reason you came in here anyways. There is a selection of beer on tap, with a couple of Terrapin options, and a full bar as well. The staff is friendly and the DJ makes everyone's experience fun. One thing you should know if you've never been- this place is LOUD! So I'll give it three stars, and with us being huge Braves fans we know we'll keep coming back.

Amber D.

Yelp
Service ok, food no. The cheesesteak was just that. No toppings or green peppers or onions.

Paola S.

Yelp
$10 cover charge for big games to stand uncomfortably in front of people that reserve 8 seat tables for 2 people... several empty seats at reserved tables where they stayed empty the whole time. There wasn't any way to order food and we couldn't leave to order food elsewhere without being re-charged to get back inside. It was pretty lame here overall they are so disorganized and zero customer service. Music wasn't good and vibe was weird. There is a line to get drinks and it's so slow. This place has bad reviews for a reason.

Joseph A.

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite to eat and a drink before a braves game! We had fantastic service and we were entertained by the huge amount of tvs streaming sports games while we ate.

Cade H.

Yelp
My tips were changed on my last two visits. Being a bartender and working in the industry, I am deeply appalled. I always tip generously so for an occurrence like this to happen has me very taken back. Nobody will pick up the phone to rectify this situation. Seems like all that's cared about is your money. Would love for someone to reach out to me or alternative solutions will occur

Porter M.

Yelp
Very rude after seating us they moved us to 4 different tables. They don't care about anything other than taking your money.

Susan B.

Yelp
Visited on 10/9 before the game and of course it was packed. Honestly we weren't expecting much because they were so busy but we were starving. I ordered the the Beef Barbacoa and the huz had pimento cheeseburger. Both were decent, not really memorable in any way. The place was clean and we had great customer service from everyone we encountered. The five stars really goes out to our server Bree who was sweet, friendly and was really working her butt off with a smile on her face. The highlight of the day was the phenomenal game we witnessed but Bree was not far behind that. I hope her manager gets to see this because they are lucky to have her. Every bar and restaurant needs a (or several) Brees.

LaShawnda G.

Yelp
Visited Saturday and sat on the patio outside. The service was EXTREMELY SLOW. I had to ask an two different employee two different times to just get a server to our table. About 30 minutes after waiting for a waitress one finally came and took our order. She was pleasant and got our order correct for the most part. She also made suggestions for questions we had regarding the menu. I ordered the fish tacos and bee sting wings all were really good. My friend had the Turkey burger and fries which he enjoyed. The food was actually really good just wish the service could be better.

danielle l.

Yelp
Jordan single handedly saved this experience for us during Hawks Vs. Celtics. She deserves better than this sad excuse for a sports bar. Everything is slow, even a beer on draft. Food quality looks suspicious, at best. I ordered the Ahi tuna bites, an appetizer, and when it arrived (30 minutes later), it was starkist minced on top of a overcooked bite of white rice. I was seeing food getting sent back more than it was coming out!! On top of how slow everything was, when it was time for the check, they itemize how the cocktails are prepared. See photo. I've never seen this in my life. It appears they are overcompensating for being in the red every month. Needless to say, this place used to be great & has clearly been mismanaged for some time. We won't be back unless it's under new ownership.

Sherry J.

Yelp
Service is awful. Managers aren't helpful. Unless you want to wait an hour to eat bland food and drink overpriced drinks with MAYBE 1 ounce of liquor don't go here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

Matt D.

Yelp
Eh. They don't carry Tito's Vodka and instead encourage you to get a housemade replacement that is trash without explaining that it is nothing like it ("we don't have Tito's but we have *** instead"). Can't have food on the patio on game days. Can't sit at the bar on game days because the deejay booth needs space. Can't make simple allergy-related eliminations on the menu on game days. Guess what? We will probably be going somewhere else on game days.

Shantrell S.

Yelp
We were looking for a spot to land in the battery for drinks after a lovely meal. Unfortunately I haven't had the best luck at finding a good place to have a drink at the Battery. This was no exception. While the hostess and servers were friendly and very helpful, the drink situation was a mess. We were seated on downstairs, away from the main bar area. I'm not sure who is at fault, but how can you be this unorganized? We were presented with a drink menu and then told by the bartender that they were unable to make anything on the menu because they didn't know there was a new drink menu... I was told that there they didn't have any of the ingredients to make the new drink items. I asked if they could make items from the old menu but the answer was no as there would be no way to ring it up. Talk about a catch 22. Defeated, I just ordered a glass of wine. Thankfully, they had bottles of it. It was only disappointing because this was a sports bar. Not exactly what i expected, but I doubt I will be back again.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Was the service fast? No. But was the server incredible? Yes! MC was my server today and he made me feel welcomed and right at home. I asked what he recommended and after getting a sense of what I like, he asked the chef to prepare something especially for me and it was delicious! Thank you, MC, for memorable service, my first time in Atlanta!

Amy V.

Yelp
Shady business. The server added his own tip on top of what I gave on the receipt. I called multiple times but got the runaround and they never corrected it.

Jackie S.

Yelp
Pros: pretty good menu, huge TV, can watch multiple games at once, full bar, great location Cons: service, competence, food quality, portion control, parking, noise levels & cleanliness Highlights from our experience: Hosts: let us know our wait would be long and that we had 5 minutes to arrive back at the desk or they would give our spot away. When we claimed our table, they asked if everyone would be eating and acted like we couldn't get our table if not (things we should've been told before waiting 45 minutes) Service: We waited 32 minutes before we were ever greeted. Never had a server proactively come to us, only when she was flagged down. Most tables around us were empty. Our server asked when we sat down how we wanted to divide checks but when it came time to deliver checks she had put it all on one because she couldn't remember how we wanted things split. Bathrooms: the hostess was walking out of the bathroom as I was walking in. She held the door for me as she exited. I walked in to find toilet paper on the floors, water all over the counters, unflushed toilets. Maybe she was leaving to tell the person that is responsible for bathroom cleanliness, but it didn't seem like she took any pride in the place. TVs: The bar is obviously in Atlanta & we were there for a Falcons game. They repeatedly changed the channel to the red zone during the game and we missed several points get scored. They also had a freeze towards the end of the game so we watched the last 2 minutes of the game on the small surrounding TVs while the main one was frozen. Staff: At any given time, you could see more staff standing around & watching the games instead of working. Tables remained empty and dirty. Really disappointing to see how much this place has fallen off. Used to be the best sports bar in town.

Rick C.

Yelp
Started her pre-game for a Braves night game. Decided to ride out a 2 hour rain delay, and stay on their patio. Service was amazing considering how difficult the weather made things. Sage, the outside bartender, was a doll, never go flustered, was fun to chat with, and made the experience fun. Would definetly return on a non-game night.

Michelle Q.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! The appetizer nachos are HUGE so you may not need to order food. The grilled chicken sandwich was so good! Our service was fast! We were there when it was dead but I'm sure the place is popping when it's packed.

Jodi B.

Yelp
Our waitress was very friendly and apologetic, but that didn't change the fact that we waited an hour for one burger and tots effectively making us late for our concert at the Roxy. Add to that, the silverware was dirty and the food was mediocre even for sports bar fare. We arrived at 5:30, so one can't even blame rush hour. We were the first people to be seated at a table. Upon leaving, the place had really filled up, and not a single table had food yet. Don't waste your time!

Connor M.

Yelp
Sports and Social is an absolute blast! It's one of our favorite places to go before or after a Braves game for a drink or to catch something on a MASSIVE TV. They have an upstairs area and bar and tons of standing room for a large group to hang out and mingle. They have a good selection of beer and a full menu with some good picks! This is a place that you need to check out when you go to see the Braves.

Darrell O.

Yelp
Growing up a couple of hours from Atlanta, I always treat it like home. So during this pandemic I was super excited to go down and visit my friends. I wanted to meet up at the battery in Smyrna with my best friend at Live! Given the pandemic it wasn't packed at all but the atmosphere was cool for a nice spring evening. Upon arriving I sat the bar and waited for someone to take my order which took a few minutes but I was patient. I was finally recognized by Ryan who was a big help for the rest of the night and who took my order promptly. I love the fact that everyone working was in good spirit and having a great time which in turn lightened up our mood and made us want to stay longer. We've always checked out other places around the battery but this will definitely be my new spot when I come down.

Evan G.

Yelp
Felt bad for the server because it wasn't her fault the food and management are so bad. Prices are sky high. Would recommend any other place at the battery. Do not waste your money here on the overpriced food and drinks and horrible management

Alexander D.

Yelp
I will say this review is solely based off of the experience of going to a private party here. We went on a game day and roping off the private event was amazing as we were able to utilize the downstairs patio. Guests like myself were given drink tickets for a semi open bar feeling and they set up a variety of small plate options. There was also an amazing opportunity for a private more personal video to be shown which was a plus. Note that the bartenders make it a hard cutoff on serving for the event so if it's a minute after the time they will not honor a ticket. Really enjoyed the wings with some of the sauces wish they were actually already sauced though.

Taira W.

Yelp
I don't normally write awful reviews but this place is COMPLETELY HORRIBLE. Service weak and slow. I understand shortage and staff in many places but this place omg. 25 min to get a drink while at a table. Manager with an attitude. I will NEVER visit this place again.

Amy M.

Yelp
Great place to watch games! Maddie is a fantastic bartender! She is professional and definitely knows what she's doing!

Ashley P.

Yelp
Sports and social is always a fun place to be! I always enjoy a visit with BONES as he has great service with a smile!! I will definitely be back soon!

Miranda B.

Yelp
Was hanging out with friends for a Friday night decided to grab some wings and fries here. The wait was a bit long but the weather is nice outside so that's to be expected. Giving this place 3 stars due to the food tasting old . It's seems like they cooked the chicken in old grease as well as the French fries . The waitress was very pleasant and the restaurant was practicing social distancing. I would like to give this place another try maybe on a not so busy night

Meka D.

Yelp
This was my first time here. I was able to be seated right away. I did have to ask to move tables because I felt they set me too close to another person occupying a table. My waiter was super friendly and attentive. My fries did come out cold and had to have a new batch sent out. The burger I ordered was good.

Samara B.

Yelp
The staff has limited problem solving skills and is not interested in serving who is there but more interested in planning for who MAY come. I came here to watch the Lions v. Bucs game and the bar was probably 40% full. When I entered I was told I could sit anywhere. I initially sat at the bar then moved to a table in the bar area. Someone came and put a reserved sign on the table while I was sitting there - without saying a word to me. A manager later came over and said a certain number of people had to be sitting at the table which is understandable since it was a larger table. He offered to put a smaller table in the walkway which was unacceptable to me in a bar when it's not full - plus who wants to sit in a walkway. I asked for some to go containers because clearly there was a problem, the experience was ruined and I wanted to leave. The manager then came back and told me he could make it a community table and other people could also sit there. That solution seemed reasonable but the experience had already been ruined. The manager who I spoke with was condescending, tried to intimidate me and had a bias against single patrons. Also, note I spoke with the men sitting at a table beside me and they sat themselves and at some point restaurant staff told them they would make the table a community table since they didn't meet the table minimum either. My question to management as I left the restaurant was why was that not the initial conversation with me - no answer. He also told me the men were lying about the conversation about making the table a community table.

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Leslie is the absolute worst server I have ever had. She forgot to put or food in for my 4 year old, took an hour. She didn't bring us any silverware, napkins or ketchup. My poor son was starving. She had such and attitude when she realized she messed up. Just an overall horrible experience! Was my first and last time I will ever go there.

Matthew V.

Yelp
Friendly staff, perfect spot to come watch the games, especially the Braves... Good menu options, full bar and a lot of beer options.. Good sound system for the games and overall good experience... Parking is free and validated..

David S.

Yelp
No to go food? Wtf! Game 4 NLCS. Green is packed. Y'all sucks. We're told they don't have enough people. FOR TO GO FOOD! Bull shit.

Todd N.

Yelp
This place is awful. Been there three times and will never be back. Every time when you check in there are a number of tables open. Many times entire sections. They leave a sign on the table that says "Reserved" but you always have to wait 20+ minutes. Last night we were seated after 20 minutes and no waiter or waitress stopped by for over 30 minutes. We ordered beers at the bar which took forever. Place was not that crowded. Eventually, after asking multiple employees if there was someone who could wait on us, I went back to the host and asked how we can get someone to take our food and drink orders. Host was very kind, but doesn't excuse how poorly this place is run.

Lawrence S.

Yelp
Came to Sports and Social with coworkers today (6/13/18) for lunch. Already had lunch but decided to come along for the camaraderie. Glanced at the menu and found they had 'Tomato, Avocado and Cotija Salad' as a side for $3.95. I am a fan of this salad so I ordered one! The first two photos is how this salad typically looks like. Tomato, avocado, Cotija (cheese) and even cucumber all mixed and tossed together! The third photo is what I was given. Tomato, iceberg/romaine/arugula lettuces with some cucumber. Mind you this came in a palm sized bowl. Asked the waitress what this dish was staring back at me and she said it is the 'tomato avocado salad you ordered'. I said that was fine then asked where's the other two main ingredients that are part of the name of the salad, 'avocado and cotija' and at first I got no response. I then said this is not what the salad typically looks like and her response was 'that's just how they make it here'. Okay. I get it. Different chefs make different versions of dishes however mine was missing two main ingredients. She then takes my miniature bowl of lettuce away and comes back with the same bowl but three slices of avocado (not pictured because I ate those) and a side of shredded cheese (cotija possibly?). The fourth photo is the side of cheese. So what I ultimately end up with is a side salad with tomatoes and 3 slices of avocado and cheese that I have to mix and toss myself? This salad isn't known to have lettuce but okay. This salad is normally prepared tossed and mixed together but okay. This is how they make it. I disagree in that this isn't what I ordered but what am I to do. As another waitress was walking by I asked what the dish was. She said it was a side salad. Then I told her I had ordered the Tomato, Avocado and Cotija salad then she said 'that's what that is' and pointed to the side of cheese. Mind you I had no avocado at this point because I had eaten it already. This being said how can she suggest what I have ordered is the dish in front of her being there is no avocado? At this point I was over it. Ready to leave. Then the check comes (this is the fifth photo). Mind you the menu says my salad is 3.95 then why was I charged $4.95? It says SD TAC salad. Is this a side taco salad? Didn't want to be "that person" and I was over it. I was already complaining about a salad that they insisted is what I ordered so why complain about being over charged $1? And assuming she was right that what I ordered was in fact what I got I still tipped 20% (sixth photo) ...again assuming I was in the wrong. Ultimately knew this whole situation just wasn't right. What I got was a side salad with a side of avocados and shredded cheese. And overcharged at that. Horrible horrible experience.

Yelp
We came at about 10:30 on a Sunday night so there weren't many people, and the bartenders still seamed like they were too busy to deal with us. Not very friendly staff and overpriced drinks. They only have Miller and Coors light for light beer for $10 a pop. A friend got a water, took one sip, and said it tasted like it was straight from the sink.Tables are wobbly and almost every table labeled "reserved" with no one sitting there. Has a cool vibe to it and a lot of potential, but we had one drink and left. Would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Yelp
Really cool place to hangout with a great atmosphere. Love hanging out here with friends. Great full bar selection. Awesome television setup for game days. Terrific local hangout for lunch, dinner, or on game day whether the braves are in town or not. If you park your car in the red parking lot you will get the first 4 hours of free parking. At this visit I have placed an order for Pork Tacos which was made of tender pork shoulder with onion, pablano pepper, tomato, garlic and ancho in miniature crispy corn shells topped with pico de gallo, avocado crema, cilantro and cotija cheese. It was their starter or appetizer which was really a small portion for the price they charge but it tasted good and goes well with your drinks to munch on. Sports & Social Club has been open a year now and it was their 1st anniversary and they are throwing themselves a party and I was happy to be part of there celebrations. The two-level sports bar, featuring television screens that stretch 30 feet diagonally, is having the shindig on its birthday on April 13, 2018. The spot is one-third of what is called "Live! at the Battery Atlanta," which is owned by the Cordish Companies. ECI Cordish's subsidiary that manages restaurants, bars and clubs, runs Sports & Social. S&S, in addition to Todd English Tavern and PBR Atlanta, have been the sight of many events over the first year: from a "Stranger Things" Halloween event to a charity Santa bar crawl. From their website: Sports & Social is a one-of-a-kind sports bar, gaming parlor and social lounge in Atlanta. The two-level space features a 30-foot diagonal high-definition LED screen as a backdrop for social games and activities throughout the venue. Equipped with skeeball, table tennis, shuffle puck, air hockey and a golf simulator, Sports & Social also serves an eclectic menu with plates for sharing, beer cocktails and a well-appointed cocktail menu. Combining the traditional elements of a sports tavern with classic interactive games, Sports & Social is the perfect destination for groups, professionals and all those whose competitive spirit thrives.

Yelp
This is a tough one, because what used to be one of our favorite battery stops The Todd English Tavern, has been acquired or merged into this larger location "Sports and Social". The difference is staggering. What was a solid 3-4 star location, is now a merged 2 star experience. Beginning with something as basic as what were incredible nachos, have been replaced with sub-par chips, coated with the same ole same ole toppings that you might find at a birthday party. Our 2 other food purchases were significantly of less quality and flavor than the prior stand-alone Tavern would have produced. Our server was friendly and professional, but the down-tick in food as compared to the Tavern will make us look elsewhere in the Battery - where there are plenty of options.

Yelp
This place is so terrible. Came with 13 people on an UNBUSY Wednesday night & asked for 2 tables. It was almost empty. The hostess insisted on squeezing us at one table that was only meant for 8 people. We were obviously not going to be comfortable. The drinks were disgusting & I almost choked on a very hard piece of plastic (?) that was in the spinach dip. Complained & a manager never came over, did not get an apology from anyone. Seriously??? I could've seriously hurt myself from almost consuming this mysterious object! Y'all need to do better.

Yelp
Expect to wait at least an hour for your food and then expect attitude from your food runners and servers. The ONLY good people we encountered were at the bar. Bernard and the other bartender were super nice and accommodating.
