Google
This was a spot on our list that we wanted to try while in DC. My boyfriend and I stopped in a few minutes before opening and we studied the menu to decide what we wanted. I got an iced coffee milk tea and he got an iced vanilla taro milk tea. The guy working the counter gave us brown sugar boba on the house because it wasn't showing up on the tablet when we ordered. We also both got the salted vanilla ube oatmilk cold foam...so freaking good, I will have dreams about it. The drinks were both so good and the service was super friendly. I wish there was one in NC. One of my top favorite bubble tea spots for sure!

Service was good, but drinks weren't good. Very overhyped and tired of influencers lying about matcha places being good when they aren't. My best friend and I got the strawberry matcha, taro matcha and thai blossom iced. The strawberries on the strawberry matcha were too sour. Taro matcha was powdery and could barely taste the taro. It's more of a pandan taste, which I wouldn't mind but you could barely taste it. The thai blossom tea was very bland. Tea was oversteeped and could barely taste it. All of the drinks were bland and too watery. This place has potential and a cute aesthetic, but the drinks aren't worth coming back for.

Google
Great bubble tea and a pretty reasonable price for Georgetown. Staff were very kind and flexible with my order so I was appreciative. Highly recommend if you like bubble tea. Also a cool cafe and restaurant in the same building!

Google
Spot of tea of one of the few boba shops in the DC with real tea and real fruit. The drinks are unique, tasty, and not too sweet. Boba is always cooked to perfection and has a great texture. Owners and staff are very friendly and make an effort to know their customer base too. Great option for dairy -free people.

Google
Spot of Tea is awesome! My favorite tea in the city, hands down. The staff are very friendly and always super helpful. I also love that they’re open late every day until 8 so I can stop by after work. Highly, highly recommend!

Vanilla Taro + lychee jelly is my go to! The mango milk tea and the strawberry are also my faves, but you really can’t go wrong. Great vibes, love the space!

Google
I can't say enough good things about Spot of Tea! This place is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu is so creative—there's something for everyone, from classic milk teas to innovative seasonal specials. The drinks are consistently perfect. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the customization options let you tailor everything to your liking. My go-to is their taro milk tea with boba, but the fruit teas are equally refreshing and flavorful. What really sets this place apart is the service—friendly, fast, and genuinely caring. They make you feel valued as a customer every single time. If you're a bubble tea lover (or even just curious to try), Spot of Tea is the place to be. Five stars all the way!

Google
Phenomenal service! The gentleman working at the counter today was so kind and exceptional!! Willing to modify drinks as you like and even walked to where we were waiting for our drinks! I’ve been a long time fan of spot of tea since 2020 and love that they’re expanding and doing well! In my humble opinion as a boba enthusiast the best boba in the DMV! They also have coffee!

Yelp
Still one of the nicest staff and best matcha in the city. We had to go back and they were so nice to sell me a side of boba at the end of the night. Kindest guy helped us out both times that we stopped there and was there to make sure we didn't have any questions. Thank you so much for your help!

Yelp
I recently tried Spot of Tea in Georgetown and was a bit nervous heading over because parking in Georgetown can be a challenge. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find street parking right along the side of the establishment--what a relief! The area has a cozy vibe, and there are other places nearby that sell pastries, which I'll definitely check out next time. The atmosphere inside was welcoming, and the attendant was super friendly, offering great recommendations from the menu. I decided on the London Fog with lychee and bubbles, and it was absolutely delicious! My only tweak for next time would be to request less ice to enhance the richness and bolder flavors of the tea. The lychee was definitely the highlight for me--so fresh and flavorful! While I enjoyed my drink, I think I'll explore richer, creamier teas on my next visit, as the almond milk I chose gave it a lighter taste. Overall, a cool spot to grab some bubble tea, and I'm looking forward to returning to try more!

Yelp
Tried Spot of Tea for the first time today and it lived up to the expectations and raving reviews. The mango matcha isn't on the official menu but you can ask for it. I love that they use ceremonial grade matcha, and the mango matcha wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The mango puree at the bottom tasted fresh and blended perfectly with the matcha. The two gentlemen working there were also very friendly and helpful with answering questions!

Yelp
Wow! I was so impressed with this place. Me and my girlfriend shared a mango yuzu tea. It was super refreshing and not too sweet. My girlfriend even said that it reminded her of a Yuzu tea from Korea. The service was also great with our tea coming out lightning fast! I will definitely come back in the near future to try more of the amazing quality boba. Super happy for Yelp advertising great new local businesses like this one.

Yelp
Thank You Sydney for picking one of my favorite boba spots. I love spot of tea. This location is a cute location. They have other little shops inside. The guy who made my drink was very nice. I would definitely go back to this location.

Yelp
Such a lovely staff, one of the sweetest! They made me a Mango Matcha Latte right before closing. The matcha was high quality, smooth, and well-balanced, without any overpowering bitterness. They seemed to use a mango syrup, which wasn't the most natural, but it wasn't overly sweet and blended nicely with the drink. The café is a bit tucked away in Georgetown, but still easy enough to find. There's a decent amount of seating, and the interiors are cute and welcoming.

Yelp
Perfectly sweetened and chewy boba + delicately roasted and high-quality teas, what more could you ask for!! I usually get the regular milk tea and the butterfly jasmine

Yelp
Great boba spot. Lots of yummy flavors, and as a vegan I love that oatmilk is the default!

Yelp
Loved going to spot of tea in DuPont and this new Georgetown location will easily become my new go to! Their mango hibiscus with lychee jelly is my favorite drink of all time. The mango and hibiscus combination is delicious and I love adding lychee in all my drinks. The employees are so friendly and ordering online is super easy and efficient. Also love using their punch cards to redeem free drinks! This location specifically shares seating with a couple other places like south block and bakeshop, but I've never had issues with finding a seat and enjoying my drink.

Yelp
Great new spot for Spot of Tea! I took advantage of the half off everything for its opening weekend and got a Blue Jasmine drink. Self-ordering kiosk was easy to use and the employees were quick to make my drink. In the afternoon, there was plenty of seating to enjoy my drink and read a book in the shared space that Spot of Tea is in. I know there's quite a few boba places in Georgetown, but I love supporting a local chain that has been producing consistent drinks and has nice service.

Yelp
Parking wasn't too difficult in this part of Georgetown and the ordering process was smooth! Kiosks are available or you can talk to staff. Plenty of seating inside and other business share the building so it'd be easy to make a full meal or sit and chat with some snacks and drinks.

Yelp
Yay for the new Georgetown second spot of tea location! I'm a big fan of their blue jasmine milk tea. Love that they offer non dairy options here as well. This distinguishes spot of tea as opposed to other boba shops. Also the staff is very kind!

Yelp
Nice ambience and seating area. I love that we have non caffeine options and it is actually a boba shop rather than a Chinese / Asian tea house. You can personalize the sugar level and the toppings to be added into your drink, which can be served either hot or cold.

Yelp
Solid bubble tea option in Georgetown. Parking of course is very tough being in Georgetown, but we got lucky and found street parking right as someone else was leaving. The place is in a small food court type venue with a few other small stands and has a moderate amount of common seating. We got a black sesame milk and a strawberry milk, both with boba. The black sesame flavor is decently strong, and the boba have a nice chew and sweetness. We got 25% sweetness on it, which was perfect for me since I typically don't like drinks that are too sweet. We got the strawberry milk for the kids at 0% sweetness, and it was truly unsweet except for the syrup from the boba, perfect again for the kids. Overall a good boba place that works to satisfy a bubble tea craving.

Yelp
Nice little spot off the beaten track. It's in the same indoor shopping area with a couple of bakeries. I tried the Hibiscus Mango and it was solid. Bottom half was mango puree and the top half had the hibiscus. Mix them up for sure. I didn't do that at first and regretted it. Hard to mix with the lid they use, but it's worth it. I purchased the Strawberry Matcha and Passion Fruit Tea for my friends. Both received rave reviews, but I'm leaning towards the Strawberry Matcha next time. Street parking super close is not the easiest, but I found parking a block away without any issues on a weekday afternoon. Small, shared seating area inside with the other businesses.

Yelp
The mango yuzu black tea is so fresh and the boba was cooked PERFECTLY. Very cute spot tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip in Georgetown.
