This is an out of the way small brewery with a decent selection of dozen or beer on tap. Since they had Hefeweizen, that’s what I tried. I guess I am a bit disappointed that the beer was filtered, but it was very refreshing. We are here as well. They didn’t seem too busy, but the food took a long time to be brought to us after we ordered it. I think it was 40 minutes or so. Worth checking out.

Google
Great little brewery in Mesilla, great vibe and the bartender is outstanding! Wide variety of people, outdoor covered and uncovered seating, dog friendly! IPA was good but not great. Big Poutine fan so when I saw this I was skeptical (Fries topped with cheese & green chile gravy and fried cheese curds), when I saw it I was even more skeptical. This dish is one of the best things I have had in awhile, the green chili gravy it's ridiculously delicious. Pollock Poy Boy had great flavor and coleslaw topping was great but bread was a little dense. Rare 5 stars for me/ great beer, great food, cool place but customer service is incredible as the number of apparent regulars was high. Highly recommend. Update went back on recent trip, unfortunately for me they change their menu regularly and no poutine, very disappointed. Had the Green Chili Cheeseburger and was no longer disappointed, best Green Chili Cheeseburger outside of Sparky's in Hatch. Back again, had the Gyoza, really good. The Dog Platter (Nosh plate) was just ok, nothing special. Back again, been stalking the menu waiting for the Green Chili Poutine to come back. It was as good as the first time, so good! Update: Another great visit this time had the Irish Stew with bread, really good! Great food and customer service! Best brew pub in Cruces by far.

Google
Legit one of the best burgers I've had in my short 40 years of existence. The beer was good, too. Real good. But that burger! I hate that i live 4 hours away. But having just dropped my kid off for college, I'm bound to return. The wings were good, too. And the fries. But that burger! So juicy!

Google
We were visiting Mesilla for a day and was looking for a local brewery. This place did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, they even brought a bowl with ice water for our dog. My husband had the Dragon burger and I had the Green Chile burger. They were amazing, delicious, fresh and a little on the spicy side. We couldn't decide on a beer so we each enjoyed a flight of 4 different beers.

Google
A good selection of beers to choose from. Have been here several times and the service has always been good. All brews are good but my favorite so far is HELLES. Always a good vibe. Now serving delicious Yorkie Pale Ale.

Google
We just discovered this gem. Good beer, great food, and excellent service. We spent a relaxed two hours on the patio, meeting people and visiting with Bobby, who is the brewer and a server (and janitor and who knows what else!). We will definitely return. Just be aware the menu changes every week.

Google
Excellent beer, food and service. Thank you to long hair Bobby and short hair Ivan. They were great.

Google
A fantastic pub! We caught the live music on Sunday (fiddle and guitar) and had Pad Thai and a Jalisco Burger. The beers are great and they let you sample them if you are unsure what to choose. Service is so friendly and welcoming. Best pub in the region!

Yelp
Wow, Spotted Dog Brewery did not disappoint. We got the charcuterie board (The Dog Platter) and their craft beer, what a delight. The Apricot jam was amazing!! I don't usually drink beer but got the Cerveza and it was wonderful. Amanda was just fantastic, She was personable, delivered great service and was just a pleasure. Thanks so much, when we come back to New Mexico we will sure stop in again.

Yelp
Great tasting beers reasonably priced and friendly service.... They had a nice loooing menu as well. I'll be bank!
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
Woah, this place is super cool. Super chill environment. The beers are tasty and the burgers are great. Very friendly staff. If you are unsure about what beer you want. They will bring you small sample cups to help you make your decision. I ordered the Jalisco burger and it was just meat on meat. So juicy and filling. I will definitely come back

Yelp
Delicious! Is the word to describe both the beer AND the food. We sampled a variety of beer styles, and each was made without imperfections and true to style. These are clean, well-made beers that do not go light on the malt and hops. We tried a burger and the pork BBQ sandwich, and both were so satisfying if we were ever back in town we would likely order the same thing again. Kudos to the friendly, funny competent staff who handle regulars and visitors with grace and equal care!

Yelp
Went with a large group and service was quick and helpful, I did not order any drinks, but the rest of my party enjoyed theirs and I enjoyed my food. Tasty bee-battered fries and a decent hatch Chile burger although it was a bit dry.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch on our way from AZ to TX. Split a Philly Cheese Steak with garlic fries and an Irish Red. Enjoyed both.

Julie H.

Yelp
The guys were amazing! They brought my dog some water while we sat outside, we had already been driving for two days on our way to Florida Love them PS the food is delicious

Bill G.

Yelp
The beer is typical craft beer with an excellent variety of brews. On the other hand, the food we had was awesome!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is cool as hell. Not super large inside, more cozy. It's a rare instance that I found the food to be even better than the beer! Recommend the Green Chile Cheesesteak. Super friendly service. Bring a 4WD for the parking lot...I kid! (mostly). My top brewery experience in Las Cruces...recommend!

Yelp
Very tasty food, great beer. Very nice place! It's on the small side and the menu is not huge. But it was St. Patrick's Day, they had live music AND it wasn't a madhouse. Service was attentive and they have outside seating. Would recommend.

Amanda F.

Yelp
Stopped in as we were taking an afternoon Memorial Day drive. Saw this as we passed, turned around and went back. Loved the atmosphere right away! There was outside seating also, but we opted to sit inside. Our waitress (so sad that I forgot her name) was simply amazing! Her suggestions were spot on! My daughter and I decided to try the Cerveza, the waitress suggested lime salt along with. It was this type of focus that made us happy. Even though she was really busy., we never felt unwanted. The brews were full bodied and each one we tried were individually unique. Though we did not get a chance to eat, the food we saw being delivered was aromatic and looked delicious!! Will be returning for the full experience.
google avatar

Brandi P.

Yelp
Great place. They have seating both inside and out. They have FREE stickers. They serve food up until an hour before the pub closes. We got there too late to enjoy. The staff were friendly.
google avatar

Judy J.

Yelp
Went there had their hefevitzen and the garlic fries. Both were excellent. They have great outdoor seating and the people there are considerate and helpful

Rodrigo D.

Yelp
Good drinking options to shock the palette. Cold beer and good eats. It's a good start or end to a Las Cruces to El Paso adventure.
google avatar

Savanna L.

Yelp
The service was fast! Food came out quickly and was pretty tasty! The burger was juicy and flavorful, just needed a little salt. The fries and fried ravioli were great! The inside is very small, so most people had to sit outside but they have umbrellas to provide some shade. A good bar burger experience. Not the best burger ever but I definitely would come again for a quick bite.
google avatar

Yelp
Live music was wonderful. The food was really good I enjoyed my grilled cheese bacon with apricot jam. My husband really enjoyed his beer. The bathrooms didn't feel clean, and disorganized it also didn't help that they are 3 feet away from the bar. Decor was a little outdated but staff were great and food and drink were great.

Yelp
Spotted Dog Brewery is the perfect stop after a day at White Sands. The food is great, the beer is tasty, and the heated patio makes it a comfortable spot to relax. Plus, it's dog-friendly, which is always a bonus. Laid-back vibe, good service.. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty area of town. Looks like a local hangout. Myself and my son asked about non alcoholic beverages (he's a teen) and they didn't have ice tea or fountain drinks, but they did have a Zia brand bottled root beer which was great. I ordered a green chile cheeseburger and it was a bit bland. Asked for some salt and that did the trick. Sweet potato fries were good! My son liked his sliders! They were pretty busy and super friendly.

Yelp
Happened to stop by this brewery on a road trip with my dogs. The staff was amazing and so helpful. The beers were great and the pricing was amazing!
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
I love this brewpub and enjoy many of the beer styles they brew. The staff are always excellent, as is the atmosphere. Bring your dog and sit on the front patio when the weather cooperates. The food is hit or miss, though. The pulled pork tends to be dry, whether on a sandwich or slider. I recently had an Asian burger here that was almost inedible due to the amount of soy sauce used. The teriyaki pulled pork sliders were very salty and dry, even with the pineapple slaw that came on it. Great beer, mid food, awesome staff. My only critique of the ales is to add coriander and dried orange or lemon peel in your Belgian Wit for a more complex and flavorful product.

Shannon M.

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this place for months and it did not disappoint. For a small place, the service was great! Everyone was super nice and the food was amazing! Wish there was one in El Paso. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Tammy B.

Yelp
My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and absolutely loved it!! I got a shrimp beggars purse appetizer it was so very good!! Atmosphere was great and welcoming.....waiter was fantastic and just the right amount of attention. Music was really good! Will be back for sure

Yelp
Stopped by to refuel on a long road trip from TX to CA. First of all, there is a gas station next door so major win. Second, the service here is amazing from the server was attentive and knowledgeable, she even brought a dog bowl packed with ice for the pup. I ordered a flight of beers and let me tell you, choosing only four was hard. So I got a second flight but that was after food, which I had the wings and begger's pouches. Both were amazing and really complimented each other. Everything was so good that I bought a taster glass with their logo and got some free stickers.

Yelp
June 2, 2023 - Spotted Dog Brewery (Las Cruces, NM) We came here on a Friday afternoon to have a quick beer. We were here a couple years ago and really enjoyed the ambience and beer. The last time we were here, we sat at the bar and ordered a couple flights of beer and picked up some swag. This time, it was just a quick stop for a pint. Again, we sat at the bar. Bobby and Nick were our bar tenders. A couple of wonderful human beings! Friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I ordered a west coast IPA and my wife ordered a sampler of crème ale. The vibe in the bar was hopping. A group of about 15 people were sitting at a large table just behind us and they were feeling the joy. There was a guy and gal sitting next to us at the bar and they were laughing up a storm as well. It was a little loud, but in a good way. The large group left about 10 minutes after we arrived and things really quited down after that. Our bar tender, Bobby, was very friendly and asked me about our day. I told him we were on the road traveling and that checking out breweries is one of our hobbies. I told him we would be heading up to Albuquerque the next day and he gave me some recommendations for breweries to check out while we were up there. Spotted Dog has both indoor and outdoor seating. They have food as well. And yes, I could drink their west coast IPA all day long. Excellent beer. Can't speak for any of their others, but if the IPA is any indication, they must be good!

Alexander V.

Yelp
The beers were excellent. Great service as well. I had the chance of 4 beer flight and non of them dissapointed me. I ended up pairing my meal with their cerveza...so crisp and refreshing. Totally would recommend this place.

Dane C.

Yelp
Nice dog friendly patio. Good selection of beers. Very friendly vibe. Staff very attentive.

Steven F.

Yelp
I drink way too much beer and Ive tried many microbrews and I'd say that Spotted Dog is brewing some great beer. I've tried around 8 different styles and all have been excellent. They currently have 20 styles on tap. Highly recommended for beer lovers. The food choices are limited, though for a brew-pub it's not a paltry selection, and everything I've tried has been quite tasty. The location in Mesilla is good, and the front patio has a great view of the mountains; however it is located on a busy road and the road noise is a nuisance (especially since open mufflers are "a thing" here in NM. If better located it would easily get 5 stars.

Yelp
Spotted Dog is a must visit spot for us anytime we're in town visiting family. The beers are delicious, food is always changing and tasty, and service is consistently good. On our last visit I tried the Ankle Biter and my old standby IPA and both were fantastic. Have been coming here for years when I'm in town and will be back many more times in the future!
google avatar

Nate A.

Yelp
Great selection of beers at reasonable prices (although my personal favorite the cream ale was out when I last stopped in) but the Kolsch and Bier de Chien farmhouse ale hit the spot on a very hot day outside. Also very tasty appetizers and free peanuts was a nice surprise. It's a rather small establishment so can get a little cramped at times when they get busy. But it's always a fun experience with excellent service each time I stop in so I will keep visiting whenever I am in town.

Dustin G.

Yelp
Great beer for a good price and decent food. Laid back atmosphere and staff are friendly.
google avatar

Wendy W.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate Best of Show at the Las Cruces Arts Fair. Nice place! Good food, good selection of beers, these guys know how to please. We had the Milk Stout & IPA beers, with Pineapple Teriyaki Wings & Onion Wings. We were too full to order more, although we wanted to do so. As a result, we'll have to go back...SOON!
google avatar

Mykal D.

Yelp
Good vibe and a chill staff that are entertaining. They brew great beers! And the Food is definitely on point! No food pics available cause it got crushed immediately...

Karen A.

Yelp
Love the place and it has such a good burger I haven't eaten anything else there yet.

Yelp
We were very very impressed with Brews, service and food. I had bbq'ed pulled pork sandwich. Delicious. Served with Cole slaw that had bits of jalapeño in it. Hubby had shrimp wontons. Yummy. Our pooch enjoyed the patio too.
google avatar

Noël A.

Yelp
The green chili burger was delicious. I was with a group of 8, and all were happy with their food and their beer.
google avatar

Yelp
Must stop if you love breweries! Got the kolsh, then ordered a 4x4oz flight. All great beers and great service. Very friendly crew and customers. Plenty of outdoor seating that's pup friendly and indoor seating with large windows so you can still see the sunshine but have The comfort of shade and AC. Definitely recommend if you are in the area or passing through! Glad we stopped by for a beer. They also have non-alcoholic ginger beer, made local, for any DDs!
google avatar

Nick K.

Yelp
This has become our "go-to" brewery while visiting Las Cruces. Parts of the menu get changed frequently, keeping things fresh for future visits. Service is always friendly and quick. The food comes out nice and hot. We really enjoy the green chili cheeseburger: the burger is juicy, hot, and full of flavor. The beers here are also good, with a nice variety. We like the Milk Stout. And you can sit outside and enjoy views of the Organ Mountains. This is a great place to relax with a good beer.

Yelp
Always stop when in Las Cruces or Mesilla. Friendly staff. Very casual. Nice outdoor seating. Excellent craft beer and amazing onion rings. Very comfortable and cozy. Love the dog. Just a little small. Lots of parking in the back

Yelp
Stopped in around 3pm on a Sunday afternoon and was met with friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The attendant, Micah, greeted me and directed me towards one of their umbrella tables outside, and handed me a menu. (Outside dining only at this time) From an interesting list of beers I chose their "Amber Ale", 6.3% ABV. For my late lunch, I was trying to decide between their "Green Chile Cheeseburger", or their "Swiss Champignon Burger". Micah suggested I could add green Chile to the Swiss Champignon Burger - so done deal. The Amber Ale was cold and refreshing and the umbrella provided nice shade. A pleasant breeze made for a very relaxed and comfortable setting. Within 10 minutes (and on my way to my second ale), my burger arrived. It was Ginormous! It was fresh off the grill and very hot. The addition of the green Chile proved to be an excellent choice - the burger was delicious! The beer battered fries were crispy and tasty (as beer battered fries should be). All in all, it was a great meal! Friendly, prompt service, excellent food and drink, and reasonable prices, makes for an easy 5 Star rating. I highly recommend you check this place out! Cheers! Business Hours: Sun: 12:00pm-8pm Mon-Thur: 11:30am-10:30pm Fri-Sat: 11:30am-12:00am

Adriana C.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I ate the hatch Philly. And it was complimented perfectly with their Pilsner.

J A K.

Yelp
The Spotted Dog Brewery is a wonderful beer brewery and lunch place! My sister had the Brassy Grill Burger and I had the Green Chile Cheeseburger. They were perfectly cooked, delicious and juicy with the perfect amount of the condiments on them. They also have a great selection of beers ranging from light (my sister) to dark (me) and everything in between. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We highly recommend it. And we will definitely be going back there!

James B.

Yelp
Very nice setting indoors - crowded but comfortable. Beer was great, and surprisingly for a brew house the food was great as well. Best cheeseburger I have had in a long time. We were there on a Saturday evening and found a table right away. Crowd was mostly older which suited us fine. Service was super and prices were reasonable.
google avatar

JoAnn H.

Yelp
I had the white stout and hubby had the IPA. Noth delicious. Nice place here! We would be regulars if we lived here. Cheers!
google avatar

Lyn Z.

Yelp
This was a great find. We tried several beers & they were all good. Our waiter Nick was outstanding. We could have chatted with him all night. Nice place. Wish we lived nearby
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
Loved this place. Had a stop in Las Cruces for the night and the beers were excellent. Always great when a smaller town can deliver great beer. My green chili Philly was ok, my wife's green chili burger was great. Wonderful selection of beers too.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped in last Saturday while on my drive back to Arizona. I had done some hiking in the Franklin Mountains in the morning and this brewery was only 26 miles away. I was hungry and thirsty and this place did not disappoint. I like German style beers and wheat-based beers and this brewery makes them, along with English and Scottish ales . I sat at the bar, ordered a flight and then had a Grande chicken burrito served over double fried fries. Everything was excellent! I had a seasonal Cerveza (5.4% ABV) with my meal. I also took advantage of the bucket of peanuts. While the front and side patios are dog friendly, I was parked in the spacious rear parking lot in the shade and kept my dogs napping in the car. It was in the 50s and they were comfortable. On a warm summer or fall day they will join me on the patio on my next visit, as I will be back! The place had a constant stream of customers.

Yelp
Dang, stumbled on great beer! On the road for 8 hours and we stumbled upon this brewery. The Prickly Beaver, brewed with prickly pear, is exceptional. My husband had both the ipa and the dry Irish stout, both he enjoyed, he did say that it is the best stout he's come across along his travels. We were so hungry that we forgot to take photos of the food! The black bean burger with hatch chilies and a side salad was perfect! Service is great, very dog friendly!

Mary S.

Yelp
Great place to stop in for a bite and brew! Service fantastic and food won't disappoint.

Krystal C.

Yelp
I was so bummed I didn't get to try this place the last time I was in Las Cruces, so I made sure to make a stop this time around. This place is small, quaint, and intimate. The waitress that tended to my husband and I was very attentive to our wants. The beer she recommended was great! We also ordered some garlic fries, and my husband ordered a bean burger with a side salad. Everything was delicious! The fries were so YUMMY!! I'm happy I finally made it in and can't wait to come back. Definitely recommend this place to locals, and travelers wanting something filling and unique.
