My wife and I went with Spotted Hen as they were on the list of approved caterers for our venue. That was already a huge mark in their favor as our venue was very uptight, so anyone who met their approval was clearly solid, professional, and likely had a good track record. We took a chance and set up a tasting. Honestly, the tasting alone was worth the booking. We were immediately treated like family and were given amazing food, amazing wine, and had a truly wonderful time getting to know this catering team. On the actual day, we didn’t know if they could replicate the experience we had at the tasting but they truly went above and beyond. Every guest complimented us on the food, both in terms of taste and presentation. Our photographer was so enthralled by the entrees that she forgot to take photos of them. My wife and I made the decision to do most of the planning ourselves and just went with a planner on the wedding day. Spotted Hen clearly and easily communicated everything they needed to be provided by the rental agency and it was truly almost nothing. I still don’t know how they did it. The salmon was flaky and moist, the steak was hearty and flavorful, and the cake was truly divine. It really felt, more so than any other vendor that we hired, that we were on a team together and that these people were our friends. I can’t communicate how much that helps with the stress of the day. We knew we were in good hands, and were delighted when Taylor came out to check on us as the evening was winding down. I can also say, definitively, that no other vendor invited us over for cocktails AFTER the wedding! Do yourself a favor and go with Spotted Hen. Your guests will thank you.

If you want guests to come up to you saying that the food is amazing and how impressed they are, then book Spotted Hen! Your guests will literally thank you. The flavors, quality and presentation surpassed all expectations. Their team managed the flow of the meal effortlessly and were attentive - we also had tray-passed appetizers during cocktail hour which were a hit with the guests. Overall, the staff managed the catering service well and everything went smoothly so we could enjoy the wedding day without any worries. The Spotted Hen team was incredible to work with from the beginning. They were meticulous and detailed, they made sure that all specifications were accounted for and that we were aware of what rentals and materials were needed. They offered a variety of dishes, appetizers and desserts to choose from. And I have to mention the vanilla cake with berries - one of the best cakes I've had in my life. I don't have the words to do it justice. Please book them! They were amazing to work with.

We cannot thank your entire team and Chef Terri enough for helping to make our wedding day truly the most incredible day of our lives. The food was absolutely delicious, as we knew it would be! The presentation gorgeous. The service impeccable. All of our guests could not stop complimenting how amazing the food was...especially the Short Rib. Everything was so good that we made a point to sit and actually EAT! Thank you for a year and a half of your hard work and dedication to making the day a wonderful experience for us. All that you’ve done has not gone unnoticed nor unappreciated. And if there were any catering issues or hiccups throughout the day, we certainly didn’t notice them and for that THANK YOU. I’ve been using Spotted Hen Catering for many years, and they are always a standout. If you’re looking for something less corporate and more farm-to-table, this is it. Their food is thoughtful, seasonal, and full of flavor. Perfect for clients who want that elevated yet comforting vibe. Their staff is also consistently professional and on top of it. I’ve never had a client disappointed after working with them. If comfort food with a refined twist is what you’re after, I highly recommend Spotted Hen.

I used Spotted Hen for catering for two afternoon snack breaks for an event at Caltech and had a wonderful experience. After I provided our budget and event vision, the team at Spotted Hen put together a menu with options that met all of our dietary restrictions and made it so easy on me as a host. The charcuterie and Mediterranean platters were as beautiful as they were delicious. The communication from the team was wonderful and delivery was on time. I will use them again next time I host in Pasadena!

Spotted Hen Catering is amazing!!! Our family friend Shane recommended them to us because she uses them all of the time, and we are so thankful that she did! They were so professional and easy to work with! We had them cater our micro wedding, and they were so flexible in answering all of our questions and providing an incredible dining experience for us! From the appetizers to dessert, every course was beautifully plated and delicious! We were able to choose and customize our menu. The staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! We would absolutely use them again and recommend them!

Spotted Hen catered my wedding. They 100% should cater yours too. I’m at the age where all my friends are going to 10+ weddings a year. I cannot begin to tell you how many people said our food was the best wedding food they’d ever had. The VARIETY of options were endless. The plates all had edible flowers that wowed the crowd. They allowed us to use our secret family bbq sauce which was so lovely to the guests. And don’t even get me started on the logistics…serving 230+ guests drinks, appetizers, and getting them through a buffet line without waiting long periods of time? I’ve never seen anything so streamlined. Spotted Hen made THREE buffet lines for us so no one had to sit around and wait. Above and beyond. And by far the most reasonably priced caterer we spoke to. Look no farther - this is your spot!

Taylor, Chef Terri, and the team at Spotted Hen did an incredible job at our wedding. Everyone raved about the food, from the welcome sangria, to the grazing station, to the plated farmers market salad and buffet of farm to table style mains and sides. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. They made our tasting so much fun and we were thrilled that the day of results were equally mouth-watering. We loved everything they offered, from drinks to a cake, and they had great referrals for anything else we needed. The team was professional and made sure everything ran smoothly at our venue, Millwick DTLA, the day of. We highly recommend them for any of your catering needs and we hope to use them again someday.
