We were looking for a nice restaurant that was dog friendly and found The Spotted Pig. Because this was our first time, we asked what were they known for? The waitress, who was already very accommodating to our two dogs, recommended their egg rolls and the sampler platter. I was surprised to see egg rolls available at a BBQ place, but figured it was worth a try. I'm glad we did. The egg rolls were out of this world. After finishing the egg rolls, our sampler platter came out and we were able to try everything. Every side had a unique taste to it - like it was homemade. The meat was tender and delicious. And, we also enjoyed a few beers from their tap. Oh and the sweet potato crunch is to die for. Overall, the visit exceeded our expectations - the food and service were impeccable and I can't rave about The Spotted Pig enough. The next time we're in Clayton, we already know where we'll be eating.

Out on a Sunday drive in the mountains of western North Carolina and Northeast Georgia, my family and I stopped here passing through Clayton. We arrived at 3:00 pm and didn't realize they closed at 4:00 pm on Sunday. The staff had no problem seating us. After a quick look at the menu, we ordered some fried pickles for an appetizer, and my wife ordered the pulled pork plate with mac n cheese and fried okra. I ordered the brisket plate with baked beans and mac n cheese, and my son ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The brisket was fantastic. Fall apart, tender and full of smoke flavor. I had never had five bean baked beans, but these were delicious even if they were on the soupy side. The mac n cheese was creamy and full of cheese flavor. I really enjoyed this side. Fried pickles were great. I mean, you can't go wrong with fried pickles. The service was great. I look forward to coming back in the future. If you are in the Clayton area looking for some good que, stop at The Spotted Pig.

Best BBQ spot I've been to in a while!! Friendly staff and good, good food for a very reasonable price. They were busy but the food came out fairly quickly. I just had to try the bbq egg rolls and they did not disappoint!!! I went with the Sampler and my husband got the two meat combo. OMG!! You can't go wrong with the Sampler, you get to try all the meats and all the regular sides. Simply delicious bbq...and some good sweet tea too!!

Excellent BBQ! Brisket was delicious, the best we’ve found in this area. The pulled pork was also good. Large portions! Onion rings and fried okra were great too. Cute outdoor seating area with live music.

This was a spur of the moment stop. And so glad we did! Food was mouth watering! We got the sampler which was awesome. Two could share this. The Brunswick stew was amazing and full of flavor. The homemade Mac n cheese had a delicious creamy white cheese sauce with just the right seasonings. The Brisket... Mmmm yummy ...was juicy with the perfect amount of smoke flavor with a good bark on it. Ok not everyone is a baked bean person but these beans were delish with I think I counted four or five different beans in it. With a great sweet flavor that just explodes with every bite. The atmosphere was very family friendly. We went on a Saturday night and they had a live band playing outside on the deck. Overall this was a great surprise.

What an amazing surprise!! Tried a little of everything. Brisket was perfect!!!! Not sure what was my favorite - ribs, the OMG creamy cheesy mac, sweet potato casserole, corn casserole, beans, okra, onion rings, blackberry cider..... And let's not forget Jessica!!! My new friends at The Spotted Pig (in Clayton GA), we will be back..... again and again and again!!!!!

After a long day of hiking the Spotted Pig hit the spot! Service was quick, food came out in a prompt manner. Everything was fresh and hot and absolutely tasty. Pro tip: Order the bbq nachos

Great first visit! We got the nachos, and the smoked salmon wrap! I was so excited to see that they offer the option to make all salads into a wrap! Definitely flavorful and great atmosphere!

Excellent food with delicious flavors! The atmosphere has a nice exterior space with a stage for live music and access to the outside bar. The inside is quant but has a decent amount of seating. The egg rolls were delicious. The brisket was so flavorful and tender. The Mac and cheese was creamy and baked beans were great. Only issue is that the cooks were slow to make the food and we waited about 30 minutes after ordering, when they weren't even busy. Clean bathrooms.

Loved it. I've had several different BBQ egg rolls. These are the best I have ever had. The service was amazing and the prices were very readily. We brought a group of 25 people. They did not bat an eye. They accommodated us without a problem.

My husband and I took a side detour through this cute little downtown area, we stopped at The Spotted Pig for lunch and enjoyed the Tap Room too, so happy we gave it a try. Delicious BBQ and sides, can't go wrong!

Some of the best BBQ in GA! This place did not disappoint. Everything was just absolutely delicious! The service was warm and friendly. Keep in mind, the portions are huge! We don't live around here, but next time we're in the area, we'll definitely return. The folks in Clayton have a great local go to for the best BBQ!

Food and service is fantastic both for sit in and take home. The only complaint we have is they ran out of French fries and cookies on 2 separate occasions, they must be menu favorites. Maybe making/ having more on hand for customers since they are so popular.

I've always enjoyed the food here. My favorite is the eggrolls but my family loves the variety and like what they get. Nice selection of beverage

I highly recommend the sampler platter. We often judge a joint by the fried okra and WOW, it was fresh crispy tender and soooo good. The meats were so flavorful, I forgot to try the BBQ sauce.

Over 6 months ago, we just moved to the Clayton area from Tampa. We've tried a bunch of places and this is one of our favorites. Very dog friendly, food is fantastic, we love that they support local businesses, and has live music often. My hubby usually gets the Sampler and I get the Seafood Pick 3. I'm not keen on fried food, but theirs is lite and not heavy. We always have lots of leftovers. Also we love the new side bar, the bartender in there is friendly and very entertaining. This place needs to be a 'must go' on you Clayton GA dining list.

The food was absolutely delicious! The service was absolutely top-notch. And the restaurant was so quaint and really good parking. Just overall location was wonderful. I would highly recommend if you are in Clayton to drop by The Spotted Pig. The barbecue is super. Super delicious it is a must try!!! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Can't rate as we didn't get to eat! Walked into wonderful smells and seeing wonderful food walk by, but the hostess said they just had one person leave in the kitchen leaving only one person so they weren't taking anymore orders. I get it, but it also seems in a BBQ restaurant most things are already cooked and it's just about plating, with the possibility of omitting things that are cooked to order (i.e., fries, apps - egg rolls that look so good). Maybe we will have luck on another day.

Salmon salad was good although it was a pretty small filet. The waitress provided cold, fresh water for our pup. They even had games at the bar we were able to play (uno & connect 4) which the kids enjoyed. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Stopped in on Fathers day to get some BBQ and unfortunately stopped at the Spotted Pig. Ordered Brisket, BBQ beans, and Mac n Cheese. Well they ran out of Mac n Cheese at 12:05 (lunch hour), and sub'd potato salad. The Potato salad tasted bad, so I didn't eat it. The Brisket looked like basic Pot Roast and was about as bland as something cooked in a pressure pot with just salt and pepper, no smoke taste, but was tender. The beans were a mix of about 3 or 4 different types of beans, and they were yukkkk. Scratch that place off my list for sure. At least the service was good.

My husband and I stopped here with our kids while traveling and were very pleased with the whole experience. The service was great, the food was awesome, and the live music was a special treat. We ordered the fried pickles, pulled pork, brisket, and sides. The best part of the meal was the sweet/spicy bbq sauce. It has to be some of the best sauce I've ever had (even though the meat was so good, it didn't need sauce). We would definitely stop here again if in the area.

Just tried this place for the first time, and honestly was a little nervous because so many barbecue places have dry, overcooked meat. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and corn pudding. I thought everything was so good! Meat was flavorful and not dried out. Loved the corn pudding. My daughter had the grilled salmon sandwich and loved it. I'm glad we enjoyed this place as there are so few places open to eat in Clayton after 3:00.

We stopped for lunch and had the most delicious food. The pulled pork was so tasty and the ribs were soft to the bone. They have some amazing sides. They have a nice selection of beer and the service was so quick!

Bbq isn't out of this world but I'm very critical of bbq. It's pretty good. I would have it again but nothing to rave about.

Wow! The food is so delicious...egg roll, ribs, chicken tenders and all the sides were phenomenal . The staff super nice and professional. Make sure you arrive not too long after they open because the place gets busy. highly recommended !!!!

I would like to start by saying the service was wonderful. Our young thin waitress was very nice and attentive, however, the food was terrible. We ordered the tasting plate that had a little of everything. It seemed like the pit master was late, tried to hurry to get the fire started and put the food on before the smoke was ready. All of the food was way over smoked, I could taste the creosote in every bite. The macaroni and cheese and corn pudding were old. The potato salad, coleslaw and fried okra were ok, but I wouldn't go eat bbq for a few ok sides. If you're from the north and want to "taste some great southern bbq" skip this place. The food was not good.
