10 Best Gin and Tonics in Dallas | Eater

"A love letter to Rome, Sprezza is where any Dallasite desperate for a taste of Italy can go for authentic takes on spaghetti carbonara, linguine cacio e pepe, and bucatini amatriciana. The more casual, less-buttoned-up sibling to long-standing Dallas favorite, Nonna, Sprezza’s airy, bright dining room is plenty charming on its own merits. As the temperatures rise in the city, the ultimate place to be is the shaded, spacious patio, where you can sip gin and tonics in the shade all afternoon, like the Mirtollo cocktail (Italian for “botanist”). It’s made with The Botanist gin, fresh blueberries, aloe liqueur, lemon, tonic, simple syrup, meloncello, and veritable liqueur." - Vox Creative

Yes Lawwwwwwd!! I'm writing this as I'm devouring my food and waiting for desserts. There's no way this business should be allowed to operate in this manner. I was out with RVA's up-and-coming foodies @we_hungryaf (they always feed me well, lol). We were Uber late for our reservation (because the owner is hiding from the FBI, lol) we couldn't find the place for dear life. The restaurant is so incognito. We fortunately found someone while we were walking, who was familiar with the place, and directed us to it. Kudos to the designer of the place, it was tastefully done. It's so bright, welcoming and sexy. It wasn't over the top like many European style restaurants I have been to. There was ambiance and electricity in the room. The hostess was badass and our waitress Emelia was so warm, efficient and on point regarding all her recommendations. The hostess greeted us immediately and was so personable. We were seated, and our waitress presented us with several menus for cocktails, meals and appetizers. One of the foodies ordered one of the specialty beverages, I don't quite remember the name, I was focused on the food. We tried the focaccia Oh Myyyy, Orecchiette Alla Barese, Lasagna Bolognese, and for dessert we had Tiramisu-Caramel White Chocolate and Torta Della Nonna It's been a while since I had such a delicious Italian meal, and I'm happy to say that Sprezza did not disappoint!! Sprezza is a restaurant that offers Italian dishes, all of which were outstanding. Not only did the food taste great, but the culture of the restaurant was also very soothing. The food was fresh, AUTHENTIC, and absolutely delicious. From starters to main courses, everything on the menu sounded appealing. It was great to visit Sprezza and taste some of the best Italian food I have had in a while. The dishes were delicious and well-executed, and the service was top-notch. If you're looking for an Italian restaurant that will truly make your culinary experience unforgettable, then I highly recommend trying out Sprezza Restaurants. Thanks for having us, Sprezza! If this is the example of just a soft opening, I can only imagine what's to come!

I’ve been to Italy multiple times. It’s my favorite place to travel and my favorite type of food. I am very picky about eating Italian food in America and I must say Sprezza knocked it out of the park. It’s now one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Richmond. Very authentic, delicious Italian food! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. My boyfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day/our one year anniversary and we will definitely be going back!

I was able to try out Sprezza last night and it was such an amazing experience! I love that it brings in southern Italian cuisine to Richmond because we don’t see much of it here. I ordered the focaccia barese, the eggplant parm and the lasagna bolognese! The focaccia is something that everyone must try, it’s the best I’ve ever had!! I also loved the cocktail menu and I am so exited to try more of Sprezza’s food!

Sprezza is a wonderful new restaurant finding its footing in Richmond. It brings authentic Italian cuisine that is unique from any other Italian restaurant in our city. The food is full bodied and quite the experience each time I’ve been. The focaccia is so yummy! The menu is designed like a classic Italian menu with courses so you can enjoy multiple dishes. How often do you get to have fresh pasta followed by a second course? Service is impeccable giving you a fine dining experience. The owner, Angela, is very warm and you can tell she is very passionate about food. She is bringing a piece of Italy to Richmond so we can experience the food without crossing an ocean. I would 100% recommend this restaurant for a nice occasion especially if you are a foodie. Keep in mind that this is a new and growing business that will only thrive with the support of the community. I can tell there is a lot of love and thought put into creating the menu. Delicious! 10/10. I always leave with a happy stomach.

The best Italian restaurant in town! From the Italian wine to the focaccia, I feel like I am back in Puglia. The service was exceptional and the decor is reminiscent of the italian south. The restaurant is bright and spacious which is so nice in a time where places are trying their best to seat as many people as possible at the expense of everyones comfort. I cannot say enough how much i loved all the food! Everything was so fresh and every ingredient was emphasized by how thoughtful and simple every dish was. I cannot recommend this place enough but its going to be my mission to try! If you love real italian cuisine and appreciate sophistication and attention to detail, sprezza is your place!

Sprezza does a wonderful job of bringing the flavors of southern Italy to downtown Richmond. We started off with drinks from the well thought out cocktail menu as well as the focaccia. The focaccia blew us away and was truly a show stopper. We also had the lasagna and the parmigiana di melanzane which were also delicious. We finished off our meal with the torta della nonna, which was executed so well. We loved all the elements and flavors of it! Overall we were very happy and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We can’t wait to be back and try more from the menu!
