Spring Court is a distinguished heritage restaurant renowned for its traditional Cantonese cuisine, with a legacy spanning nearly a century. Having dined here on numerous occasions, we returned this year to celebrate Mother's Day. We ordered the claypot chili crab, which was fresh, meaty, and delicious as usual. While my mother appreciated the kongbak, I found the gravy slightly too watery, as I prefer a more viscous consistency for the kongbak gravy. The dim sum we had were both flavorful, though the golden dragon chicken was somewhat underwhelming. The cabbage with dried scallops was light and sweet, enhanced by the umami essence of the dried scallops. The fried glutinous rice was a crowd favorite and wasn't soggy. The worst dish of the meal was actually the melon sago, which was too sweet and probably tasted worse than crappy desserts at a koufu or kopitiam food court. Service was notably slow on this occasion, though understandable given the occasion. The staff graciously waived the charge for the dessert we barely touched.

We had a wonderful evening here last night with my work partners. Xiao Chen (小陈） from the “Chrysanthemum” private room provided us with warm, enthusiastic, and professional service. She made us feel very welcome, and my guests couldn’t stop praising her. The dishes were as delicious as always and the portions were generous. Everyone enjoyed every dish we ordered. I’ll definitely choose this place again the next time when I have business or family dinner.

We really enjoyed our meal today. Every dish was flavourful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back again!

We ordered the crispy chicken with prawn paste, the homemade tofu with spinach, the taro basket filled with seafood, and the noodles with seafood. Everything was well seasoned and cooked with care. The chicken came out super crisp with a nice punch of prawn flavour, the tofu was silky and comforting, and the taro basket was packed with fresh seafood. The noodles rounded everything out perfectly. A really satisfying meal overall.

Nice and pleasant experience dining here. Our 1st visit though we had takeaway previously. Service was good and patient. The deco and music reminds you of old Shanghai. We like the roast duck and veggie. The half a portion of roast duck was small though.

Celebrated my mum's birthday here. The food was good and the service was excellent. I brought a cake and the wait staff attending to our table helped to set the cake up and even decorated it with complimentary longevity baos. It was really kind and it made my mum happy. We will definitely be back again and it's a great place to take our parents for a lovely Chinese meal

Special thanks goes to Ken, who went above and beyond what any guest could expect. When he heard I wanted to do a Liverpool theme party for my die hard Liverpool fan husband but I got limited budget, he took the initiative to borrow Liverpool memorabilia from his friend, personally went out to get balloons and party poppers, and had everything prepared before we arrived. It truly made the evening hassle-feee and extra special. When there were unexpected hiccups with the arrival timing of the birthday boy and guests, Ken was quick on his feet to offer contingency plans and solutions. His calmness, initiative, and dedication were so impressive that I honestly thought he is a manager as he certainly doesn’t work like an ordinary service staff. Truly commendable service! 👍 Not forgetting his bubbly supervisor (I didn’t catch her name, but she wears glasses and thru chat I found out she is from Malaysia). She added such warmth to the whole experience and made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Both of them really made my husband’s milestone birthday celebration so memorable. Spring Court Chinese Restaurant doesn’t just serve food (& the dishes are truly yummy!), it creates experiences. Strongly recommend for anyone who is looking to celebrate a special occasion with service that truly shines.
