Where to Find Great Coffee in Jacksonville

"Spring Park Coffee is one of the most popular coffee shops in Green Cove Springs. Here, coffee lovers can get everything from handcrafted lattes with unique foam art to weekly specials created by the baristas. What makes this spot truly unique among the rest in town is that every day there is a name of the day, and if someone has that name and can prove it with an ID, their coffee is free. The shop also hosts regular community events like open mic nights and has its own book club." - Megan duBois

Overall Score: 11.6/13 (one of the best coffee shops I've been to) Coffee/Quality: 2.6/3 (Turtle was delicious, the espresso shots were almost perfect. This is a highly judged category for me, and personally, 2.6 out of 3 is pretty high) Atmosphere: 1.8/2 (relaxing overall vibe, calm music. Loud enough where you can focus on it, quiet enough you can have an easy conversation or focus on something else. Furniture and decorations are fun and chill) Service: 2/2 (extremely friendly, helped me with what drink to choose, quick to make the drinks) Food Pastries: 0.8/1 (good options and variety for pastries, the scone I ordered was delicious) Price to Value: 0.8/1 (very much worth it. I personally even drove 30 minutes out of my way to come to this coffee shop, and would easily do so again) Cleanliness: 0.9/1 (overall very cleanly, just a couple bits of trash on the floor, which is more a fault of guests than the location) Uniqueness/Charm: 1/1 (I mentioned in the atmostphere section, but this place is just an awesome vibe) Consistency: 0.9/1 (unable to judge based on one visit, but paying attention to frequent visitors as well as my own assumption, I assume extremely consistent, so I put close to perfection) Ordering Experience: 1/1 (for many of the reasons listed above)

Just attended Spring Park Coffee's Harry Potter Trivia event for the 1st time. What a wonderfully creative and well-organized event with ALL the Potter fandom fun and feels ! Will definitely do again next year. Get dressed up in your wizard world gear, or not. This is an annual July event, tickets sell out fast. It does not disappoint.

So, I'd heard about this spot a few times before finally stopping by. The interior design is really unique, and I loved the vibe. But right as we walked in, the first table was noticeably dirty, likely from the previous guests, but no one had cleaned it up, which left a bit of an off first impression. The place overall looked a bit worn, like it hadn’t been updated since it opened over ten years ago. It was not really busy, but just people sitting with laptops and taking the tables. I loved the huge variety of signature coffees and teas. I ordered a Ice princess coffee, but it was too sweet for my taste. Since it was too late for breakfast, we grabbed some pastries, though they were also a bit too sugary for me. I’d still like to come back in the morning and try a proper breakfast, just with less sweetness in my drink next time. Before we left, I noticed they offer a special free coffee for certain names, which is such a creative idea! It’s a neat concept that adds a fun touch to the experience.

Google
Convenient location with great food and drink options of all type. Plus ice cream! The decor and ambiance is very nice. They can get overextended with orders quickly but not due to poor service. Everyone was wonderful.

We loved the coffee, atmosphere and the staff! We sat for awhile enjoying our coffee and the comfort of the place. We will definitely make this a stop anytime we are in the area.

Yesterday, my wife and I were running errands and wanted to stop by for a coffee break. Spring Park Coffee has a great cozy setting inside, and our coffee was great as well. I got a smores coffee to enjoy some winter flavor. The service was great, and the staff were friendly. Great stop!

The hustle and bustle seems to be continuous at this locally owned coffee shop. Whether you're coming for coffee, tea, smoothie, breakfast sandwiches, or pastries, this place has it all! Come in and stay for a bit. They have plenty of comfy of seating and free wifi in a rustic atmosphere, so feel free to grab yourself a beverage, take a seat, and relax for a while. And, the customer service is spectacular! Blessings!

Yelp
As a loyal customer for years, this coffee shop remains a top spot in Clay County for my perfect breve latte. They consistently brew my all-time favorite bean, Brass Tacks, resulting in an earthy, nutty, and utterly delicious drink. But this place offers more than just fantastic coffee. It's a great spot to relax or work, with the added bonus of ample seating thanks to their recent expansion. This is especially welcome considering their growing popularity as the area develops. One thing I always enjoy is checking the "Name of the Day" board outside. Who else offers a free coffee just for sharing your name with the lucky daily pick? Still such a clever idea... The tempting dessert case is another highlight. Filled with homemade goodies, it's hard to resist! They even have a seasonal latte list, featuring drinks inspired by Girl Scout Cookies - a nostalgic and delicious twist. If you're craving something sweeter, their Coconut Cream Pie latte with espresso, white chocolate, and coconut flavors is a personal favorite. Overall, this coffee shop is a must-visit! They offer exceptional coffee, a unique atmosphere, friendly service, and delightful treats - a winning combination that keeps me coming back.

Yelp
Visiting town and this place was recommended. The coffee shop is in old downtown Green Cove Springs. Sits on the corner with limited parking but there is parking down the street. Clean and friendly place. Busy on a Sunday morning. We meet an old friend there to catch up. Great place to sit and have conversations. Some tables, chairs and sofas available. Menu board covered pretty much anything you'd like with some of their specialties blended in. Just FYI...the only sugar free flavors are vanilla and caramel. We order coffees and cinnamon rolls. All were very good. This place is associated with Brass Tacks out of Jacksonville. So all their logo'd items show Brass Tacks instead of Spring Park.

Yelp
A first for me to celebrate "Name Of The Day" at a business in Jax......& a first visit to the comfy, cool & cozy coffee shop!!! Shoutout to the awesomely friendly Barista, "Kendall" for my Deliciosostyle cold brew!!!

Yelp
The BEST breakfast I've had in while! Such a great biscuit and the Affogato was delish, too!

Yelp
Looking for a great local coffee shop? Check out Spring Park Coffee. This cafe is located in the heart of GCS making it a great stop either when passing through or checking out the local waterfront and park. Pricing is very affordable whether you're looking for food or drinks. They even make the biscuits fresh daily! Both are amazing as well, and if you like it, they've got a loyalty program. Service is excellent and fairly quick for as busy as they get in the mornings. For ambiance, the place looks like a spot out of decades old, but it fits what they're going for. I love the furniture and sitting by the fireplace whether to study or take a break after a morning bike ride. Definitely give this place a shot!

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop in Green Cove Springs! I'm visiting from LA, and this place felt so cozy! They have an extensive food and drink menu. I ordered one of their signature drinks "The Nutty Irishman" which is an Irish cream and Hazelnut latte. It was delicious! I was scared that it was going to be too sweet but it was just perfect. I also got one of their pre-made yogurt parfaits topped with strawberries. Service was excellent, my sister is a local and she says that everyone is always very welcoming despite their long lines. They have plenty of seating, and it looks like they also have WiFi so you could easily get your work done there. I can't wait to go back on my next trip to the East coast.

Yelp
I past this location all the time, weather I'm headed to our company or home. Friday was the day! love the fact they have some sort of reward system in place. See punch card below. I could not find one thing negative about this place...keep up the great work! It's comfortable, inviting, and clean. Service time is reasonable for what we ordered a latte, cappuccino, biscuit/sausage & gravy and waffle- bacon, egg & swiss.

Yelp
We don't venture to Green Cove often but when we do, we stop here. We love the comfortable, non-pretentious vibe and their unique flavors. Parking can be precarious but the lot next door is accesible but you have to watch where you're walking. I live waking in and being greeted by the beau aroma, it's not too overpowering though. I always ask for the favorite drink of the person ringing me up and they've all been delicious. Speaking of staff, they're all pretty friendly. We've gotten their breakfast bagels before and they're okay but nothing to write home about. Clearly food isn't the star of the show but it's nice they offer it because there isn't much else around for a quick bite. They also have a dessert case that is awfully tempting.

Yelp
This is one of the best little coffee spots I've been to. They have a very large selection and they always have tasty specials on the board to try plus their desserts are amazing. The decor and vibe is so trendy and relaxing and the service is super friendly. I wish they had a franchise.

Yelp
Great coffee and great place. As a bonus they highlight local authors and their books.

Yelp
OMG! Until I ate here it never dawned on me that I didn't have a top 5 of breakfast sandwiches. Well after having a breakfast biscuit with egg cheese and bacon I now realize that this sandwich is NUMBER 1!!!!! I'm back home in Fort lauderdale and boy am I always thinking about the awesome smoothies cakes and O my...the bacon egg n cheese biscuit!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
The ambiance is kitsch but also comforting. The menu has so many drink options and the food is delicious. The reviews on here led us to try this spot and it was great. This place does get pretty busy and the parking isn't fantastic but it's worth it.
google avatar

Micheal W.

Yelp
I probably come here once a week on the weekends, I'm giving them a five-star review because I enjoy this place, but it is a little overpriced, when checking out your tip options are 20 30 50%, which seems to be a little much, and they have almost no parking, but with all that being said and typically happy with the options here, they definitely have a wide variety on their menu and they tend to switch it out seasonally, also their most enduring quality is the decor if you get the chance to hang out here you'll probably have an awesome time.
google avatar

Yelp
Spring Park Coffee is an independent coffee shop and that is probably the only good thing that I can say about this place. They offer an inferior product at an inflated price with kind of a smug and condescending attitude. Condescending is never a good look and arrogance is never a good trait to embrace. The best thing to do with this place would be to avoid it.

Bethany S.

Yelp
Great coffee, pastries, ice cream, and even their breakfast menu. The batistas are always so nice and helpful. The shop has an old timey, library type feel to it that is lovely! It's a great place to meet up with friends, study, read, or whatever! It's just the vibe the area needed!

Dan M.

Yelp
Good coffee. Had the breakfast bowl w eggs grits n sausage in a soup cup. Pretty good.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to have coffee. We ride motorcycles and we stop by in the morning to have breakfast and the service atmosphere and food is great and consistent. I definitely recommend the place.

Yelp
Wow! Amazing service and delicious drinks. The inside is welcoming, comfortable, fun. The employees are smiling and busting butt to serve everyone! I had the London fog tea- what a treat! Met friends there, we were able to sit and chitchat for almost two hours! Worth the drive and wait!
google avatar

Yelp
I love the whole vibe here, you feel comfy, like you are at home. They were very friendly and they have great coffees and pastries!

Yelp
Great customer service and huge selection of drinks, sandwiches, and desserts. Love all the seating available and the decor inside. Ordered a iced dirty chia latte and wished I ordered something to snack on, everything smelled amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Absolutely adorable, independent coffee shop in Green Cove. Check the chalkboard outside: if it has your name written on it, you get free coffee!!! Inside, the vibe is just so very "coffee shop", with cozy chairs, heavy wood tables, and lovely artwork. The coffee menu is Full of yummy flavor combos, too. I met my mom for breakfast: she had an iced tropical green tea, and I ordered an iced butterbeer latte. It was a perfect treat. We also ordered biscuit sandwiches: I had egg, bacon and Swiss, while she got hers with pepper Jack. The sandwiches were served fresh and hot and the biscuits were big and fluffy. The weather was gorgeous so we ate at a picnic table at Spring Park, overlooking the River. We may have to make this a tradition!

Yelp
Tucked aside the main drag across from the Dollar Tree Plaza. Celebrating Christmas in July, they offer Christmas cookies and cupcakes. Christmas music playing and the Tree was up and decorated in the corner. Very festive! It's hot outside so we ordered their homemade lemonade. I got the Strawberry Lemonade, 24 oz & hubby got the Raspberry. They're both delicious but not too sweet or too tart. $8 Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of seating, parking is ok. We will definitely be back here!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with good drinks and food. I wanted to love it. Then I noticed a rotted egg underneath the couch I was sitting on, like it fell off someone's plate and the area hadn't been cleaned in a while. I thought that was weird but hopefully thought it must have happened this morning. Then before I left I went to use the men's bathroom. The toilet and sink had dark rings around them, the kind of hard water stain that comes from not being cleaned for several weeks. With that in mind, it makes me wonder just how clean the food prep area is!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
This shop has a really cute atmosphere seating and friendly staff! Both got iced lattes, they were pretty sweet even at a 1/2sweet level which may be a personal preference so just something to note if you're similar and ordering. Would definitely go back to try different drinks as they have a really wide variety!
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
I come here with my girlfriend all the time and it is always such a good date! The coffee is amazing, I love that they serve Brass Tacks. The staff is always very nice and quick to fix any mistakes without hesitation! I love coming here for the cozy atmosphere and the great coffee!

Yelp
I love going to this place. The ambience is so serene and the employees are respectful. They get the orders correct and the flavored iced coffee tastes incredible. I also enjoyed the banana nut muffin. My daughter loved her drink as well. I definitely will go here again and again. I've been here twice already. FYI: good place to study too.

Yelp
If you want the best tasting coffee in a 3 county area - even picked #1 via a local radio station- then you NEED Spring Park Coffee in your life. The cold brew is the absolute best & strongest in the area & the seasonal specials that are available as hot, iced or blended is always a real treat. The new expanded lounging area is wonderful!! It was a joy to sit in front of the (fake) fireplace while it was a chilly 29 outside. Make this a routine stop, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Coffee house perfection! A locally owned coffee house, tucked away in Green Cove Springs, with all the charm you could ever want in a coffee house. Made to order boujee coffee, breakfast bites, ice cream, and an eclectic decor. Sit back in a cozy chair and enjoy your custom coffee creation, or take it to go and stroll down the historic streets of the city under the canopy of trees. Either way, you'll fall in love with Spring Park Coffee too.

Keyan H.

Yelp
Amazing customer service always willing to help you with any questions you have and if it's taking a while for your order they let you know why it's taking long which is amazing coffee is incredible

Yelp
Such a great little coffee shop. The ambiance is relaxing and the coffee is great! Everyone who works there is super nice and the service is amazing. Enjoy!!!

Yelp
We stopped here because it was hot! Food: 5/5. We had an affogato, which hit the spot on a hot day. The espresso was lovely and rich! Experience: 5/5. The staff was really respectful and wore masks. The price for the affogato on the various menus were inconsistent with what they actually charged me for my order. I also love the eclectic decor and relaxed vibe. Overall: 5/5. Would come back. My only complaint is that they don't give customers the option to recycle the plastic cups they serve their drinks in.
google avatar

Caitlyn W.

Yelp
It takes a lot of time to obtain a single coffee. I don't want to be a Karen, but they take forever. I ordered a matcha, iced, and you don't take half an hour to make a 20-ounce glass. I don't think it should take that long. The price range is very limited as they do not tell you the price until you are ready to check out. There aren't many staff when I walk in. The parking lot at the coffee shop is horrific. You either park at the front door, on the side of the building, or you park in the Dollar Tree parking lot. Apart from this, the coffee is incredible and a great ambience.

Yelp
Staff was so helpful, Food was Amazing and Just Right!! Felt like Goldie Locks in the Three Bears!! Prices Amazing can't beat the prices. Like my Nana Always said , " You Pay for what you get". Just Amazing. I'll be Back with Family and Friends

Yelp
Warning- Race will be discussed. Normally my co-worker will order coffee and drinks and I will add to her order. This time I decided to take a trip. When I walked in the line was very long, but I waited to the tune of almost and hour. As I watch the young lady make drink after drink and call names for order pick up, I anxiously waited for mine. I finally saw her grab the non-fat milk and the peppermint flavoring, I knew this one was mine. The drink was made and placed on the counter. No name was called and the patrons behind me were now starting to get their drinks. I decided to walk up and ask who the drink belonged to since she said no name and continued to serve as if the drink wasn't there. It was mine. I asked why no name was called and that I have been waiting. She sat right in my face and lied saying the cashier made it and forgot to call my name. If this was the first time, I would TRY to write this off as a mistake. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME! There is nothing to make me believe that in 2 visits they 'forgot' to call the black girl's name. I was the only POC in there. To be brushed off with no apology and shrugged at really put the icing on the cake to let me know it was intentional. The look on her face showed she could care less; I watched her pleasantries and delightful demeanor with everyone else except me. Now if this wasn't about race then what was it? This was not an off day for her because if so, I would not have witnessed a totally different interaction with the patrons just seconds before me. Not worth the wait, and the feeling like my skin color determined how I was treated.

Robert H.

Yelp
Over priced for what l believe is very cheap coffee. Plus they think they own the sidewalk since the council member pays 5000 a month in rent.
google avatar

Aubrey H.

Yelp
If you are in the green cove area it is worth a stop at Spring Park Coffee. The interior is cozy and the menus line the wall, big enough to decide your order when you reach the counter. Great breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
google avatar

Olivia R.

Yelp
I told myself a year ago that was going to be the last time I'd ever come here. Decided to come today and was disappointed again. My iced coffee is wayyyyy too sweet. Takes like chocolate milk. Theres no reason the s'mores drink should be this sweet with two shots of espresso. This place hasn't been the same for years now. It used to be my favorite coffee shop

Logan S.

Yelp
love love coffee love service love the environment love the staff love bibo love everything

Yelp
Sometimes we forget how vast our city is. Jacksonville stretches over so much land that it's important to remind ourselves to frequent local businesses outside of our comfort zones. On a chilly Sunday afternoon, my friend and I made the 30 mile trek to Green Cove Springs for a visit to Spring Park Coffee. And what a lovely visit it was. SPC has been open for seven years, and you may have heard of their Southside venture, Brass Tacks Coffee. Although comparable on the caffeinated side of things, the atmosphere ranks toward the top of the local coffee scene. Walking into SPC is a dip into the old-school libraries of yesteryear. It's a true coffeehouse that screams coziness to the umpteenth degree. My god, it's straight up cute and comfortable. Sofas, lounge chairs, community tables, window seating, natural light that'll make you cry inside, outlets galore, books for you to get lost in, I'm not sure what else you'd want in a place... How about amazing coffee and pastries? Well, it's no secret that they already do that based on their newfound success at Brass Tacks. My cortado was exactly what I expected, and the boldness tasted mighty fine on a cool afternoon. The kicker of my experience was their everything bagel with tomato basil cream cheese. Think pizza bagel on steroids! Sweet Mother of Mary this was fantastic! You better believe I scarfed it down. I'm not going to shut up about this place until people from Jacksonville make the trek to Green Cove Springs. Yeah, they've been pleasing the local scene for 7+ years, but I encourage anyone in Jax to plan a weekend stint out to SPC. You won't regret it!

Maura R.

Yelp
I tried this coffee shop with a friend and had a great time! We both got lattes and bagels. My latte was delicious. The Samoa flavor was great without being too sweet or not sweet enough. The bagel was also really yummy. The baristas were kind and the atmosphere was really peaceful. I will definitely be back to try more of their specialty flavors.
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
Nice variety to please even the most particular coffee snobs without the "We're doing you a favor" vibe. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with a great selection of music. Great coffee at a reasonable price

Yelp
I had some glowing recommendations to make the trek from Jacksonville to this great little coffee shop in Green Cove Springs. Not only did this place live up to the hype, but it far exceeded my expectations. If I could rate more than five stars, I would. Such a quaint space invites customers to come in, get comfortable and stay a while. The store has long hours so you can enjoy breakfast and coffee in the morning, a bakery treat in the afternoon and ice cream in the evening. If it were closer to me, I'm certain I would visit often and at all times of the day to enjoy this great find, and I will absolutely be back. Friendly employees are patient with new customers like me who drool over the pastry case (fortunately not literally) and struggle to make a decision for breakfast. The "ice princess" coffee and biscuits were suggested from my trusted foodie friends so I ordered the coffee, hot and it was absolutely perfection for my taste buds. I would not have thought of the combination of an espresso latte with peppermint, white chocolate and raspberry, but this heavenly delight did make me feel like doing a happy dance like a princess with every sip. All of the specialty drinks are available hot, iced, or blended so in warmer months this would also be amazing frappe style. My husband liked the regular coffee though found the flavor slightly floral. I really enjoyed the smooth Brass Tacks coffee, so much better than those big name coffee shops. For breakfast, I decided on the custom biscuit sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese, with an upgrade of the avocado spread. The spread was absolutely worth the little extra charge. Overall a very reasonably priced breakfast. The biscuit was tender and probably the tastiest I have ever had, my friends were not kidding that they would impress me. The fresh, quality ingredients inside the biscuit complimented by the creamy spread made this a beautiful, hearty breakfast. As an added bonus after your treat at Spring Park Coffee you can walk around the lovely spring park in Green Cove Springs and enjoy the park, spring, and river views. Of course if you are feeling princess-like after such a happy, satisfying meal, you may be inspired to skip and dance through the park instead. Such a great location and absolutely worth the drive.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops and an absolute must stop on the way to and from Gainesville, Ocala or Green Cove. The drinks are so good! Coffee is served hot, iced or blended. There are many choices and my favorite at the moment is the S'mores (blended). Addictive! You cannot go wrong with any choice here!

Yelp
Great establishment for a leisurely cup of great coffee and breakfast. Location is the NE corner of US 17 and SR 21. The ambience was unique - two large rooms with every kind of seating you want. Small, medium, and large tables; window bar; single deep chairs with side tables; den-like seating around the fireplace. Any style fru-fru coffee you want. I just had what was in the pot. Smooth and locally ground. Home made large biscuit with sausage, egg, and cheese was just right, but they also have NYC-imported bagels. Service was friendly and expeditious. A gem of a small business for Green Cove Springs.

Yelp
Spring Park Coffee was a great spot for getting a bit of work done when spending the morning in GCS. The sign out front makes it seem unimpressive, but immediately upon walking in the atmosphere is clearly exactly as a coffee shop should be. The coffee menu is vast, and there is a case of pastries as well as a variety of options for a breakfast sandwich. You choose your bread, your meat, your protein and your cheese for $5. I opted for no bread, and mine was a bit less. I also chose a basic coffee, with half and half, but was tempted by the choices. Staff was friendly, WiFi was good and free, chair and table options were numerous and made for either good working spaces or socializing spaces, and is somewhere I'll definitely return to.

Yelp
A+ nice and quaint great for a first time meet and greet. A great first date. Must try
