Google
Amazing hidden spot. Very much dive bar feel but has a decent size menu. We came for breakfast, got some spiked coffees and everything we all had was amazing. Will definitely come again when I visit. Love the inclusivity of all walks of life

Danielle Standfield

Google
Favorite dive bar/sports bar to go to. It's a diverse crowd, better than normal food (the saucy spring wings are the BEST in mpls), and great drink specials and overall prices. There's a Monday night comedy club in the basement that will give you a good laugh.

Ashley Swenson

Google
We love visiting Spring street! We are probably here wayyy too much. Great place for food and beer, we love the atmosphere and wait staff, everyone is lovely. The best place we've found for a guaranteed good dinner in this part of mpls that is reasonably priced!

Google
Been wanting to eat here for years, finally did, and it was soooo good. I had a BYO burger medium rare, dang they know how to season meat here. The server was real kind and direct, I appreciated that. This is a classic neighborhood bar/grill with great food and fun energy neighbors.

Sarah Carsello

Google
Great local bar to drop in for a few to many drinks or nosh on really good bar food. Brunch is great! Menu items are very much classic with no added flair. The hashbrowns are perfectly crispy! Order their house made boozy coffee!! Made with organic coffee.

Sara Rae

Google
Their breakfast is amazing. Perfect prime rib and the hash browns were made to perfection. Mimosas were good as well.

Google
My roommates and I wanted some wings, so I looked up “best wings near NE mpls”. I haven’t tried many other wings nearby, but I can see why others think so highly of these wings. We got the honey hot wings, and they were awesome. Good size wings, flavorful, and still crispy despite having sauce on them. Got nachos and fries for happy hour— the fries had a very tasty seasoning. Nachos were just OK but I am very critical of nachos. Very easy to find parking which is a big plus. Would love to come back with my parents. Did not get a photo, but they have a claw machine with (empty) cans of white claw, where if you get a can you can redeem it for a free one at the bar! Sadly we did not win any.

Google
Excellent buffalo wings and bleu cheese. Spinach artichoke dip was actually spinach and artichoke instead of cheese, and it was also really good.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing wings and dips. The blue cheese, ranch and seasoned sour creams were the best I've had. Atmosphere is relaxing and diverse. All around excellent experience.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite dive in Minneapolis. Though service is usually slow, the staff is fun and THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! The parking lot for whatever reason always seems busier than the inside - you can usually find a spot to sit! Our bartender was great! She was essentially the only one working a full bar. But you would never know she was swamped because she was so upbeat and kind. I ordered a gin and soda and was automatically given a double. Not a huge deal, but if I'd known it would be $11, I would have opted for a single, or rail. Everything on the food menu is fire. If you're ever unsure what to get - Spring Wings will win every time. This evening I also had the Cajun Grilled Prime Rib Sandwich and my husband got the Spring Burger.

Yelp
Had a lovely time day-drinking on a Saturday afternoon! Friends and I met for general smack talk, drinking and munching! Got the dry rub wings, buffalo and lemon pepper. Have to say... can't pick a fav! All were delicious! The fries and spiced sour cream were a fabulous addition! The drinks were strong, and server Rachel (MaryJo) was great! She definitely could read a room, and served us well! This may be our new go-to spot! I can see where this place gets crowded and crazy!!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun dive bar with great food. Lots of energy on a cool fall Saturday AM. Good Bloody Mary's- not over the top, which I like. Breakfast burrito big enough for 2, salmon Benedict minus the English muffin, biscuits and gravy and an omelette were all winners. They even have fancy cold press coffee. AND great art for sale! Our server Nola was great! Quick and on it.
google avatar

Lydia C.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying I have only ever been here one time, but overall, it was an extremely average place. The food was okay, nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. The service was very poor, and I usually like to give the benefit of the doubt (especially due to the fact that it was a Saturday night), but when our server did find the time to talk to us, I found him to be slightly rude and generally apathetic. He even had the audacity to ask us about our personal conversations, and it was not at all in a cute or funny way. Just odd. As far as ambiance goes, the place was pretty big for a dive bar, but you also have to walk through a metal detector on your way in, so you be the judge.
google avatar

Kathi H.

Yelp
Food here is excellent! Good vibes, plenty of parking. And they have all day breakfast!!
google avatar

Shaun C.

Yelp
easy parking and relaxed atmosphere. The cold presses coffee was great. Great breakfast food and friendly staff

Yelp
Cute dive bar large menu selection I was satisfied with service until I got my bill! They nickel and dime you and don't tell you. I ordered a drink and he asked me if I wanted a large glass and I said yes but he didn't tell me he was going to charge me $3 for the few ounces extra of club soda. We ordered dry rub wings I asked if I could try a sample of the bbq sauce and of course the answer was yes but I was charged $1. Then we paid our bill and saw they charged us a fee for using a credit card without telling. All together they charged us $4.50 in extra fees on a $27 tab and because of this I will not go back.

Yelp
Breakfast is stellar no matter what time of the day. Tex Mex with chicken & black beans... my favorite & definitely leftover worthy!!
google avatar

Lexie N.

Yelp
This place was a lot of fun! Totally mixed crowd, surprisingly really great salad, and service was great. Bonus points for having parking and loads of seating.
google avatar

Joshua G.

Yelp
Good neighborhood vibe with exquisite in house ranch and blue cheese. I ordered the lemon curry dry rub wing and they were heavy in the lemon flavor. My friend ordered the bbq wings and those were much better. The saucy was sticky and clung to the wings and your fingers.

D L.

Yelp
The best staff friendly, attentive, and makes you wanting to come back. The food is amazing, they even have breakfast for dinner!! Tacos and Motz sticks are the best, along with the amazing biscuits and gravy can't beat that! Wings are super delicious, from buffalo to dry rub!! The patrons are by far the friendliest I've seen ever!!

Yelp
We came here for breaky on a Sunday around noon. Yes, that was our breakfast at that time. It was seat yourself and it was busy, but we were able to find a spot to sit. The bar is pretty big and has seating all around it too. It's of course a dive bar if you haven't found out yourself yet from reviews. Its on the nicer side of dive bars, meaning it's not too cramped and not too run down, but you still get that divey feel. Their service was on the normal side, but the food came out pretty quick. Their menu actually has a lot of options which is really nice for a dive bar. On Saturday and Sunday they have a bloody bar for $6.50! That's a really great deal. The bloody bar wasn't extravagant but it was still tasty. I wish they had cheese but it was cheap so hey why not. They also put a lot of vodka in your bloody - this can be good or bad. A plus for me. For food, I really enjoyed their Denver omelet. It comes with toast and some hash browns that I devoured in minutes. Yummmy!
google avatar

Cristina T.

Yelp
Trust me on this; the very best shredded pork, seasoned chicken fried rice with homemade chimichurri sauce! Fresh vegetables, lots of egg, incredibly fresh! Better then any Asian restaurant in NE! Great service from Alex.

Sab S.

Yelp
The place is ok . When we arrived it took about 10 mins to order the first drink . After ,it took about 40 mins then someone asked if we wanted to get the 2nd drink while all of the white people were serviced then never came back . I wouldn't recommend as a place to go. We need across the street Moose .

Nick J.

Yelp
Great food and great atmosphere! All day breakfast, great wings, amazing blue cheese!

Nina P.

Yelp
Server Victoria with the RBF was ruder than usual today. As a designated driver for my friends for the Vikings game, I asked for more water. Victoria came over with a pitcher of water and filled my glass and said, "Heres your two drops of water!"
google avatar

Justin J.

Yelp
Love coming here. Great food. Great prices. But every time we sit in Victoria's section she is pretty rude and provides bad service. But every other person who works there is such a delight so it makes up for her short comings as a server.
google avatar

LeAnne L.

Yelp
The BEST home-made blue cheese for da wings. The Best Patio brunch. Unpretentious, comfortable, and Medium Great food.
google avatar

Stacey D.

Yelp
Brunch brunch brunch. These people can do brunch! They have a pretty good selection of items on the menu. We decided to go with the biscuits and gravy (just the regular) and were not disappointed. Soft buttery biscuits along with a delicious gravy. It's a classic brunch item that was well done. We also decided on pancakes. A short stack is 3 pancakes and you can really taste the cinnamon. If you're not a fan of cinnamon, than I would not recommend them. It did make the pancakes sweeter but they were delicious, fluffy, and buttery. I also loved my pint of cold pressed coffee! It really balanced out the sweetness of the pancakes. Service was prompt and great. Staff are good about wearing masks and they have tables marked off to still allow distance. There is a parking lot in front!
google avatar

Yelp
THEE brunch spot. Get a couple or bunch of Bloody Marys and throw some loot into the best selection of TouchTunes choices I've heard around town. After that, try one of the multiple different scratch made breakfast options. Y'all, serially, everything they make is the bomb. Follow it up with a jumbo boozy cold press coffee drink for dessert, and sit in revel in the chillest atmosphere in NE.

Bailee H.

Yelp
Straight up looks like a dive bar. And it is, in the best way possible. The food was so delicious! Our server, Alex, was so quick and nice. She made the experience so amazing. Stop in for the chicken tenders!!
google avatar

Bridget G.

Yelp
I just sat on their patio for 30 minutes without being spoken to. The waitress came out at least 5 times and spoke to every other table and completely ignored me and did not once acknowledge my existence. I'm never coming back here.
google avatar

Kaari N.

Yelp
We love Springstreet and once again they did not disappoint. Fantastic service from Sewana (sp?) but other servers we observed were also amazing. Had the black bean burrito and hubby had the sausage burrito. Totally yummy but prepare not to eat for another 4 hours at least! Was truly impressed too with adhering to the guidelines. Sat outside on patio. Always a bit loud when the bikers drive by, but still live the menu the price and the service. Always a great time!!!
google avatar

Sonja D.

Yelp
I don't think this bar could get any better. Want somewhere to go for an amazing breakfast and spicy bloody? Go here. Want somewhere you can sit on an awesome patio in the sun, order food, and be served rather quickly? Go here. Want somewhere where you'd rather be inside watching the game where it's kinda dark, but there are still some small windows? Go here. Want somewhere where you can let loose after dark, where a DJ on a Thursday night will surprise you? Go here. Want somewhere where you can bring a $20 bill and probably still have change? GO HERE. Why aren't you there and checking in yet?
google avatar

Danielle G.

Yelp
We were told this place had great wings-boy were we disappointed! The service at the bar is awful! It took the bartender 5 minutes to acknowledge we were there. We placed our order and it took 45 minutes for out food to come out- everything was cold or burnt! The blue cheese is great but not worth the time or money! I will never go back!

Myles F.

Yelp
I ordered a bbq burger and they forgot my bacon and cheese but overall they have great food just check ur order before u leave

Yelp
This is a review that has been the better part of 10 years in the making. Back in the day, the Spring and I were neighbors, so it became my default go-to place for a game of pool or a pint. It should, however, be noted that the Spring was not the alt/hipster dive that is today - it was an actual dive (my friend has the scars and medical bills after an encounter outside to prove it). Flash forward a few years and the Spring has cleaned up its act a bit. The addition of Club Underground, some fairly respectable pub grub and a shift in clientele has made the Spring a pretty cozy neighborhood bar - a place that I could happily be neighbors with once more. That said, I don't think my zip code is going to be changing anytime soon, but I'll still stop back for a cheap pitcher of Premo and a couple of games of pool on occasion.
google avatar

Sam G.

Yelp
Love the spring wings! Awesome happy hour, as well! Good service and great prices, not what you would expect but it is a great little spot. Local townie spot for sure. Happy hour 3-7 mon thru Friday

Ryan T.

Yelp
This place was everything I could ask for and then some. I bought one pull tab and won $50 to pay for my dinner and drinks. ALSO!! This bar has nice limes--you can judge a place by the quality of their limes and they were NOT squishy.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
Super cool dive bar with amazing breakfasts all day on the weekend, so if you're like me, you can have breakfast when you wake up. Also the alcoholic coffee drink. I don't want to know what's in it, but it's the perfect unhangover drink. Great music, people, chill. Minus 1-star for no Franks Hot Sauce!
google avatar

Kristine P.

Yelp
Obvi a 5! Best dive in NE Minneapolis! Funnest bar tenders, best cheap breakfast, best bloody bar! It's just one of those bars where Everybody knows your name Love this place!
google avatar

Ashlee M.

Yelp
The cold press is fantastic! I only rated 4 stars due to only having drinks and not yet trying the food. I will sooooon, as I hear it's fantastic. One day. The patio is perfect, has shade and sun, good combination. The staff are always friendly and remember you when you come in. Good vibes, good times, certainly recommended.
google avatar

Cassandra P.

Yelp
This place was awesome! The only reason I'm not giving It 5 stars right away is because we need to go back a 2nd time and try more food. We ordered the dry rub wings and the house sauce wings, they were crispy but not too crispy, meaty, and the blue cheese was amazing. We are from Buffalo, NY so we are always looking for a great wing and blue cheese!! The bartenders were also AWESOME!!!!! All of them! The music was great. The people sitting at the bar, SO NICE! Great hole in the wall vibe and inexpensive. GREAT place!

Charlie T.

Yelp
Great service! If you visit the food is good but our bartender Dennis was the absolute best.
google avatar

Fernando C.

Yelp
Looking for a neighborhood dive? Look no further, SST is your place - nothing looks newer than ten years old in this spot. The atmosphere is real chill, folks of all different ages come together for greasy goodness and stiff drinks. No need to dress up - come in old sweat pants and sandals, guaranteed no one will notice. The only downfall is the beer list is a bit small, but the cocktails are strong so I would stick to that. Also, the guy next to me ordered a bloody mary and although not a fan of the BM, the thing looked delicious. All in all, this is a cool divey bar with good service and great drinks. Cheers!
google avatar

Russell J.

Yelp
This place is just all around awesome. Great/cheap pours, awesome weekly specials and an interesting fun crowd. Get the hot wings with the blue cheese, I don't know if the wings or the blue cheese is better! A bit of a dive, but don't dismiss this place.

karen y.

Yelp
The Spring Street burger I had on Wednesday was the second worst burger I've had in my life. Over-cooked thin patty, rancid bacon, and a wonder bread bun. No, it was not expensive, but I regret the two bites I had.
google avatar

Cassidy R.

Yelp
this place is amazing. i had my first bloody mary here and it's...u guessed it....amazing. chicken tenders are perfect. side of stuffing with gravy is also perfect. the water is also really good. and they play super hard music. started from the bottom x drake, for example edit: the ranch dressing is the closest thing to chili's ranch dressing (best) i've ever found. give it a go!
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
I hold the Spring Street very dear for many reasons. One is the breakfast. Anyone who has not tried their breakfast burrito is living on a lower plane of consciousness. It's about 5 pounds of delight, packed with hash browns, eggs, mushrooms, sausage (or black beans for you veggie types) and a cornucopia of green and red things. Add that on to their build your own bloody mary bar, and you wont need to eat again for a fort night or two. The non-breakfast food there is pretty munchin' as well. The have $1.00 tacos on Mondays. No surrender!!! In the basement is a rock/comedy venue called Club Underground. It's grungy, intimate, loud and serves cheap drinks. Aka/ it is everything I want in a solid rock venue. I have played here on numerous occasions, and while the sound is not the best, I always leave with stories of crazy, drunken rock n roll shenanigans. Truly, Minneapolis' most underrated venue. I do not care what the bathrooms look like.
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
Within waddling distance of my crib, this joint is a top notch NE dive. Decor is similar to all the rest in NE, dirty and dumpy....perfect. They have great beer specials including 5 dollar pitchers of Premium on Saturdays. I could bathe in that beer. It's that good. I tried the food for the first time last weekend and I was very impressed. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and let me tell you, I almost had an organism. It was loaded with eggs and hash browns and mushrooms and sausage. It gave me a burrito chub. After receiving my burrito I decided I wanted a side of hash browns so my server slipped my order to the front and they were on the table within minutes. 5 gold stars for you! The hash browns by the way were golden and buttery and equally tasty. If it weren't for me trying to slim down my plus-sized figure, I would eat breakfast here everyday of the week.
google avatar

Brittany C.

Yelp
Love this place! Food has always been great. One of our favorite Sunday spots. Breakfast all day- need I say more? Also the only place that makes cocktails in a decent sized glass. The servers and bartenders we've experienced are awesome. If you like tatted up sassy servers, great food, and good drinks, I highly recommend!
google avatar

Dena S.

Yelp
Spring Street, why are you so much like high school English? You've got this whole Madonna/whore archetype thing going on. Sometimes, you're amazing. Your servers are attentive, your food is fantastic (um, Spring Street hashbrowns? Sign. Me. Up.) and your $5 Bloody bar is the stuff of hipster fantasy. When you are in Madonna mode we're breathless. But sometimes, without warning, shit hits the fan and we get sad. The servers disappear for half hour increments, the Bloody bar is empty (sweet baby Jesus) and those beans! What's with the beans, Spring Street? The menu claims they're straight up black beans but there is Badness in them. It may or may not be salsa. Love the early morning Bloodys (come on, it's a drink you eat with a fork) but salsa before 2pm gives us the boom booms. Full disclosure next time, please, and maybe all these other Yelpers won't hate your bathroom so much.
google avatar

Geoffrey R.

Yelp
Unpleasant noise level. Terrible music. Unsanitary men's room. A most unsavory clientele. But the drinks are stiff and I suppose if your prerequisites for dives are absolutely minimal, you'll probably do just fine at Spring Street.
google avatar

JARED T.

Yelp
brunchbrunchbrunchbrunch This place has the best hashbrowns in the Twin Cities, so get those, and their build-your-own-bloody-mary bar is phenomenal, so get that too. Definitely my favorite place to get brunch when all I have left from the night before is $15, a hangover, and a crave for something to fill me up and knock me back out for a couple hour long nap. I've always avoided this place at night, um because I get the impression there is a rough hard drinking crowd of regulars who might shank me, but that's probably just me being a pussy.
google avatar

Ada M.

Yelp
My husband swears by the BBQ burger. Tater tot substitute? Yes, please!! Veggie burger is a little too beany for my taste but it's a black bean burger, what should I expect? Breakfast is decent too. The first few times we went, there were no complaints about the service besides that maybe our food could've come out faster. Not a deal breaker. But incredibly rude service is. Here's the breakdown of our most recent visit: 1. Waitress wasn't particularly friendly greeting us - OK, maybe she's having a bad day. 2. Waitress returns with our drinks and literally slams my husband's drink down, spilling it on the table, and walks away. Maybe she didn't realize? Sure. 3. I want my burger cooked medium, husband wants his cooked medium rare. They come back switched...hmmm. 4. Waitress never asks how we're doing and gives me dirty looks during our entire visit. Am I being paranoid? No, my normally aloof husband notices the snide looks too and suggests maybe it's because we're an interracial couple. I really want to believe that can't be it but it's what makes the most sense and my mood is ruined for the rest of the night. To our awful waitress: whatever the reasons for the poor service, leave your bad day/biases/attitude at home and stay professional. I regret leaving you a nice tip. I wish I had the balls to call you out on your attitude. Spring Street would have been a regular for us - the food is good and it's a nice, low-key bar in the neighborhood. It's unfortunate that the last visit completely turned us off to ever visiting again. Hopefully no one else has an experience like we had!
google avatar

Johnny S.

Yelp
The single best neighborhood bar in Minneapolis. The beer is always cold, the food always hot, and the service perfectly wry. The beer menu extends to mostly the major brands and local favorites, but there is a beer of the month special which part owner Pete always makes a unique selection. Usually something well out-region or out of the ordinary. The drink prices are stupid cheap. That's to be expected at a Northeast bar, but the Spring Street makes sure you have an affordable night no matter what tier of booze you may fancy. Food. Here's where the Spring REALLY kicks the competition's ass. The breakfast is all day, every day. ALL DAY EVERY DAY. And we're not talking some skimpy egg and toast plate. We're talking cajun-blackened prime rib soaked in holandaise and served with a side of crisp hashbrowns smothered in cheddar and onion. We're talking a breakfast burrito the size of Katy Perry's ego. During the week, they have a special for steak and eggs 8am to 3pm for 6.99. Rediculous. All the regular menu is phenominal too. The burgers jucy, the fried food crisp and well seasoned in the their own 'Spring Seasoning.' (BTW, the Spring wings and Spring browns are especially wicked.) New soups nightly from the kitchen, and weekly specials like the inside-out Cuban sandwich on Wednesdays. Hawt damn is the food good here. If you find yourself with a Sunday afternoon to spend on a perfectly sunny patio or a night to spend with good drinks, food and one of the best underground stages in the city, make your way to the Spring Street. This was the greatest venture off the beaten path we've ever made. Trust us.
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
We live very close to this neighborhood bar, and boy, am I glad. Their wings are my favorite in the Twin Cities by far (both the Buffalo style and the herbed dry rub), and good Lord, their homemade bleu cheese dressing is exquisite and is served in generous quantities. I normally despite bleu cheese, but theirs is the perfect combination of tangy and savory, with just enough chunks to keep the texture interesting. I always have a decent amount left after my wings have been finished off, and I often resort to just eating the leftover dressing with a spoon! (Not ashamed to admit that!) There is always a good amount of people no matter what night of the week it may be, and they have some pretty great daily specials. Bar staff has always been friendly, although the language can get a bit coarse at times, so don't bring your mom.

Yelp
I am pretty sure the beer deals here are amazing. I had an ex that use to do a lot of happy hours at this place (sometimes needing a ride because of the great deal). We also went over there for breakfast a few times. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. It's one of his places so I probably won't be going back any time in the near future.
