While we had a great experience, a slightly wider variety of dairy-free or vegan options (if not already available) would make it even more inclusive. Also, though the flavors were bold, one or two of the more unique ones could use a tiny bit more balance. Final Thoughts: Springfield Scoops is a must-visit for families, couples, or anyone looking for quality ice cream in a vibrant, supportive small-business hub. Stopped by for a mid-day sweet treat. They have a large variety of flavors. Including a non-vanilla no sugar added! We tried the No Sugar Added White Raspberry Cheesecake and I believe Caramel Apple Pie. Will definitely be back. Look forward to seeing other no sugar added flavors.

I ❤️ Scoops in Springfield. My go to ICE CREAM SHOP!! They always have a variety of flavors! The customer service is always pleasant and kid friendly. They have the cutest kids' corner full of books for the children to read. The environment is relaxing and also very inviting. I highly suggest this spot as it is not a chain ice cream shop, and Black owned! 😉

Super disappointing. All the ice cream was super icey. Kinda like freezer burn. I tried a few flavors & they were all just so bad I left without getting anything & I love ice cream so this was bad. The lady working was nice but the product just wasn’t good.

Visiting this location for the 1st time, I had a pleasant experience. The manager and staff accommodate my daughter nut allergies by washing scoopers n hot water. Clean and nice place to visit when wanting a nice scoop of ice-cream.

*Black Owned Biz Alert* Cool and friendly ice cream spot with a variety of flavors that change on day to day basis. Very friendly service and pricing is moderate too. Great place to take the kids this Summer for a quick treat on the way home!

I had THE BEST experience at Springfield Scoops today! Mek made the best banana split sundae and served it with amazing customer service. She deserves a raise! Highly recommend.

Just recently tried out Springfield Scoops, and it was great! I've been looking for small, independently owned ice cream shops around Jacksonville, and was pumped to have gotten the opportunity to give Springfield Scoops a go. This was the most original, tasty, and modestly priced place around. I got two massive scoops, in a made-on-the-spot chocolate waffle cone for $8. Most places around here would give you half of that for a higher price tag. Very much recommend!

Finally got a chance to try this cute little ice cream shop in Springfield. I went for a treat after work and really enjoyed their cookies and cream scoop with waffle chips. They were very welcoming during my visit and the place is absolutely adorable!

As always, this ice cream is delish. My first time turning my scoops into a milkshake, and not one regret. The place is always clean and the service friendly

Walking in wasn't the warmest welcome. It was very uninviting. But as my daughter and I were ordering it got a little better and the young ladies warmed up and the service was good. It's a cute little spot right on the corner. They have a painted wall with bright colors and ice cream art. The ice cream I chose was coconut and my daughter got birthday cake with fruity pebbles. We got a small size cup that came with color changing spoons. This place has potential. We would definitely give it another try!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Plenary of options and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Very fairly priced. The best news, it's a better choice than dreamette.

The ice cream was delicious. I had the cappuccino chip. My sister had the banana split with salty something, the cappuccino chip and choclate, she ate the whole things. The service was good. Friendly girls and were willing to let you try anything. Love that it is black owned.

Been wanting to try this adorable ice cream shop for awhile. My mom and I stopped in and was greeted with a smile. They have so many flavors of ice cream to choose from. It's so hard to pick. The waffle cones/bowls are made on the stop fresh. Service was excellent and we will definitely be back!!! YUMMY FOR YOUR TUMMY!!!

Special praline is now one of my favorite flavors! Had it in a waffle cone. Next time will try their waffle bowl and other flavors

I was disappointed in the outcome of my visit. They should have a sign displaying what kind of ice cream that have for today. I stood in the line for and waited to learn they didn't have the kind I wanted. I settled for vanilla and it didn't taste good. It didn't taste fresh almost like freezer burn. The hot fudge wasn't hot and didn't taste like fudge more like caramel. After tasting it, I went back inside to ask if they were sure it was hot fudge. I will call from now and ask if they have the kind I want,

This establishment has excellent service, quality of food, is clean, and is an enjoyable environment to have either a gathering or a solitary time to simply enjoy some ice cream. The prices are more than reasonable for the amount they give, and the fact that they allow samples is a huge plus in deciding what of their multitude of flavors one might choose to enjoy. Over all, 10/10, would definitely go again.

When you walk in, you immediately smell the wonderful smells of delicious churned ice cream. So many choices of creamy delicious ice cream. I decided to take my niece. She loved it. She decided to try the sherbet which was so smooth and tasty with all the delicious tropical flavors associated with sherbet. Tasty. I also love the fact that their are non diary options which is great for those with milk intolerance. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors.

Owner & staff are super accommodating and makes the experience enjoyable every time. Clean space. Great flavors that rotate. I love that they even have non-dairy options!

I stopped by Springfield Scoops on a pleasant Sunday afternoon with my wife for some ice cream. The shop is fairly large with plenty of seating and immaculately clean. There's a reasonable selection of ice cream flavors, sundaes, and milkshakes. The staff that helped us was friendly and offered samples, and was also very pleasant to some little kids who came in with their parents while we were there. I had a cappuccino ice cream sugar cone, while my wife had strawberry ice cream in a cup. A small size was extremely generous: three scoops for about $3.50 in a cup, my sugar cone added on an extra 50 cents. There's no way that I would be able to finish a large cone without being uncomfortably stuffed. The ice cream itself was good, creamy and not too sweet, but nothing mind-blowing. Scoops is worth a stop if you're in the area and in the mood for a solid ice cream cone.

The ice cream was so good! The chocolate was even amazing! I'll for sure be coming more often!

During our weekly trip to different ice cream places we visited Springfield Scoops on 3/25/22. We were greeted and asked if we wanted to taste anything. We tasted a couple things then made our selections. Red velvet cake, Pistachio and Butter pecan. The service was good. They even have step stools for the little one to see inside the cooler.

Good Ice Cream, good prices and the service is excellent! I loved the atmosphere, very clean place. The owner takes pride of her business, she's very friendly. We live in Springfield neighborhood and we are Glad this place is open! Btw the place closes at 6pm needs to be updated

The staff were very friendly and allowed me to taste multiple flavors. It was hard to choose just one so I chose a few.The wide range of flavors were perfect for this hot summer day.

Rum Raisin !!! OMG the best ever! I just found this jewel of a palor. Butter pecan was amazing as well.

I stopped by looking for a sweet treat! And this place didn't disappoint. They have lots of options available to choose from. Stop by you won't be disappointed. I ordered the turtle sundae, it was enough for 2 people.

Stopped by for a late treat! Got the banana cream pie ice cream with Cinnamon Toast Crunch hot fudge and whip cream! Delicious and a large portion for $5! Staff was friendly! We will be back!

Ok- I was so excited to try this and let me tell you I was quite disappointed. I got a waffle bowl with one (tiny!!) scoop and was shocked to find out it was 7$!! The scoop was so stingy and then there ended up being a black hair in it. I'm sorry great tasting ice cream but for the price and that experience I would not recommend. Two stars bc the ice cream actually tasted good nothing else. This pic is of my replacement ice cream after the hair was found. All I have to say is May Day got it.

My daughters and I had the privilege of visiting Springfield Scoops today and I'm in awe at how incredible this shop is! Small yet comfortable. They have a vast array of ice cream choices and offer samples in case you're undecided. I decided on sticking with the basics but they have so many to choose from! Take the drive or walk if you live nearby and reminisce with that childhood favorite! You'll leave with a big grin from the taste and atmosphere alike! Support this small business! You won't be disappointed!

Springfield Scoops is my weekly spot. It is a black owned Ice Cream shop with rotating flavors weekly. My usual is a build your own ice cream sundae and my go to flavors are: Birthday Cake, Cookie Monster, Superman, Garbage Can, Red Velvet, Apple Pie, Strawberry etc. I usually buy kid scoops for my family of Butter Pecan as that is a classic flavor that is made so perfect it doesn't taste real. This store has ice cream that barely melts if you are out and about. They have a point system to earn rewards too. The spoons are color changing which makes it more fun. Associates are mostly young but they are trained so well. It's a vibrant atmosphere and belongs on Springfield. The vibes are amazing. Colorful inside and super clean. Wear a mask when you walk in! Definitely try it out. I'm here weekly. I've even hosted a small get together of 8 people and they accommodated. Don't skip this place. Did I mention it's worth the money? Scoops are a nice size!

Stopped in yesterday with my Granddaughter and wow what a nice clean shop. The service was awesome and I had the toasted coconut flavor and it was so good. My Granddaughter had strawberries and loved her Ice cream. This will definitely ve a got to Ice Cream shop. Prices were reasonable as well. Highly recommend

This is a scoop shop where they do not make their own ice cream but it has your classics. If I would go back I would probably just get the toasted coconut in a cup. I tried the banana split and I told her to go crazy with it and I threw away most of it because it was already melted. The staff was super friendly but I was not overall impressed by the finished product. I totally recommend bringing kids and having a small kids scoop.

One of my regular stops. Ice cream choices are plentiful. Lots of different flavors The staff are very nice and will always let you sample. If supporting an African-owned business is a priority, you're in luck. If you care about supporting small local businesses then definitely stop in and grab a scoop.

I've been eating a lot of ice cream my whole life and I think this is one of the best ice cream shops that I've ever encountered! There are 150 flavors of absolutely incredible ice cream. The shop is beautiful and clean and family oriented and open till 10 PM on Friday nights. Exceptional ice cream!

After enjoying a nice lunch, my daughter and I wanted some ice cream. I remembered hearing about a small business opening in Springfield and after driving by it once we found it. From the moment we entered, it was like being immersed in the sweet fragrance of a waffle cone. Excellent selection of ice creams, but I judge every ice cream shop by its milkshakes.; So double scoop for daughter and chocolate shake for me. First, the shake was terrific, had a nice chocolate flavor, and the consistency was perfect; now, my daughter had ordered two scoops, and let me tell you, that is a HUGE portion of ice cream. She said it was delicious but would only order one scoop next time. The menu looked interesting, and we bought two cheesecake brownies for later. I will return and work my way around their menu.

This place is simply amazing, it is just what Springfield needed. We love going and grabbing some ice cream after a night out at such a relaxing place. The furniture is gorgeous, the decorations are beautiful and the ice cream is the best around. I will continue to go here as much as I can! Thank you to the owners for running such a fantastic company!

Save your money. Better off buying ice cream from the grocery store. 1 star is too many for this place.
