Not sure if there has been a post-pandemic reckoning on the hotel rating system, but while this hotel was nice, it did not feel like a 4 star experience. I mean the true rating system, not just a 4 star rating on Google or Tripadvisor. ||In classic Marriott fashion, they have cut the night staff to just the desk clerk. When we called around 10pm to ask for toothpaste, we were asked to come down and get it ourselves. No big deal, but again not something I'd expect from a 4 star hotel. ||There also isn't any room service. Again not really a big deal, but not something I'd expect from a 4 star hotel. ||Our carpet also had some mysterious brown stains, and the pool while nice, is located next to the parking lot. ||There were also some basic amenities missing from the bathroom that I'd expect in a 4 star hotel, like a makeup mirror, and nicer soaps. ||The rooms are spacious, but I wouldn't qualify them as suites. They basically use a desk to cut the room in half and call it a suite. I might have been spoiled by the size of suites at Courtyard Marriotts, but this felt like a nice size king room, not a suite. ||The restaurant on the roof is great though, amazing food, drinks, views, and vibes. ||I realize this sounds like a snobby review. I can live without all the things that were mentioned, and don't even need them. My review more comes from the expectations I had booking a 4 star hotel, and the actual experience that was delivered.
