Springs Armory

Moved away for a few years but ended up moving back home with new laws to navigate. Went to a couple shops that I used to be a regular at that have just completely changed and were rude explaining the new laws or leaving key things out of purchasing, like the newer 3 day wait. Went to this shop looking for some mags, found exactly what I was looking for. EXCELLENT service from the guy that helped me, wish I got his name. Very personable, took his time explaining a handful of things to me. I will 100% frequent this shop from now on, and I think a lot of shops in town should take notes from these people. Just cause you know more about guns doesn’t mean you have to be disrespectful about it. I promise the peeps at this shop will take care of you, answer any questions you have and will make the process seamless. You’ve earned a new customer. Ladies up at the front desk were very nice and personable as well. Would give more stars if I could.

Staff in back are nice and knowledgeable, they have just about anything you could need. Make sure if you buy parts they are not damaged and in spec. They won't take anything back and will direct you to file a claim with the manufacturer.

Springs Armory is FANTASTIC!! Great local shop. Would highly recommend. Tammy and the team are all amazing. They are friendly and very welcoming. Tammy is so talented. We saw her doing sign language which was neat to see. They have a selection of firearms and their consignment service is great. They recommend reasonable prices to set your firearm to try and sell it. Their transfer process is smooth. We have bought multiple firearms online and have always had them sent to Springs Armory. They handle firearms with care and promptly notify you when the item has arrived. Will continue to support this establishment.

I special ordered a part and it was installed the day it arrived. James helped me specifically and was knowledgeable, helpful, and does amazing work. Springs Armory is the only place I go to buy and modify my weapons.

Friendly knowledgeable staff with large supply available. My friend transferred ownership to me through this store, they were quick, explained the process, were friendly and helpful. Everyone at the shop was ready to assist with any questions that I had.

When shopping, the guys in the back are very nice and helpful. I used them as an FFL from an online purchase. There was a lady sitting at the right side of the front desk. Her demeanor and attitude were negative. When they couldn’t find my paperwork in a condescending tone, she asked if I was ever contacted by them. I told her I was. I told her a gentleman called me. I don’t know if the girl sitting next to her was new or newer, but she demanded that should be helpful and start looking through all the paperwork for my file. It made me feel bad for the way the girl was being treated. They eventually found my paperwork I signed off and receive my pistol. I assume this girl was a manager or the owner‘s daughter, but it didn’t matter because her attitude was poor. Because of my experience, I will no longer use them as an FFL and won’t go there for ammunition or anything else.

This place is always amazing. Better than any other place in the Springs. Staff is friendly , informative. Very welcoming unlike a few shops around. We just purchased a pistol. But unfortunately we lost it in Pueblo Reservoir last night fishing.

My go to FFL here in the springs. I’ve been several times and have had great experiences. The staff are knowledgeable and eager to talk to you not only about their products, but just chatting in general. They’ve made great recommendations and got my cantilever mount installed.

Ordered a shotgun online and had it sent here. Ended up spending quite a bit to get it transferred over to me. Just some simple paperwork and a 3 day wait but was charged $34. Ugh! Still, all in all a pretty simple process. Spot is a bit hard to find, but the service was friendly enough. Parking is a small private lot at the end of a dead end. Overall, I would have my weapon shipped here again. Just wish the price wasn't so high for a simple transfer.

Stopped in with my son. Great service! I know when he moved from AL he shipped a few things here for pick up and had zero issues. He stays abreast with market offerings and is always performing modifications and upgrades on items he owns. The crew here is friendly, knowledgeable and were happy to answer any questions we had regarding local laws and how they differentiate from GA and AL, which we were loving! I'd definitely recommend Springs Armory, they had a wide variety, decent pricing and a great brewery nearby. Win Win.

Springs Armory sold a S&W EZ-9mm for me with extra Mags. It took a while but they got it done at a good price and only a $45.00 fee. I also bought a Hellcat Pro from them at a fair price. The service was good and the salesperson was very enjoyable to work with. NO Excessive pressure at all. You are always greeted by a friendly hello there. I have also shopped at Specialty Sports and there is no comparison. They have more but the experience is better at Springs Armory. I live in CO Springs...

Springs Armory has always been my local gun shop to stop at and will continue to be. The staff are professional, welcoming, and respectful with any questions you may have. The value is always great with so many selections.

Every time I've walked in,everyone is just so kind and friendly and helpful. And it's not like I've even really bought that much there. So I know they treat me well because they're a wonderful bunch of people. That said, when so many other places in town had no ammo, Springs Armory always seemed to be working hard to get ammo. AND, as an added bonus, when they do get new ammo (and firearms), they put out a fun and informative video to let everyone know. As a veteran, I also appreciate the deals offered as a Thank You for my service. When I am in the market for any weapons or ammo, they'll always be my first choice.

Love this place. Moved out of a commie state 2 months ago and purchased babby's first suppressor. Chase made the process super simple and answered all my noob questions. He's really knowledgeable about this stuff. Definitely my favorite store here in the springs and I've been to almost all the gun shops including the pawn shops from north Colorado Springs to Deep South Colorado Springs. Prices are highly competitive here even during the rona and staff is fantastic. ATF PLZ HURRY. I WANT MY SUPRESSOR PL0X. Kthxbye

My husband and I just had our first child and on one of his stops in, they surprised him with flowers to take home for me and a small little gift for him. They know their customers personally and treat new customers as if they were family! The other workers are very knowledgeable and just as friendly.

I enjoy coming in a browsing, even asking opinions on certain firearms. I have recently purchased a rifle here, and they made the process very easy. If your looking for a knowledgeable, well stocked firearms store, Springs Armory is a super alternative to the "big box" stores! Personalized serve.

I've been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. The guys in the back have always been awesome. Today is the only bad experience I have ever had and it pretty much makes me just never want to go there again. I was picking up a rifle that had a muzzle brake put. These guys are great for that, quick work and great price. So I go to check out and hand the invoice to the woman at the desk. She looks at it and goes "Where's the price?" I'm like I don't know. She pushes the paper back at me and and goes "You need to go find the person that did the work and have them put the price and initial by it" My first thought was hey, I don't work here and that's your job. But because I already in a shitty mood and didn't want to cause a scene I just walked over to the guys and had them do it. I did something that wasn't my job because I don't work their so this woman wasn't troubled to look up or turn away from her computer to ask the guys standing 5 feet away to solve this. Here's the kicker, Tammy the owner was standing next to her. There are other places in the Springs to get Mag kits and buy silencers. Use them. 10 seconds of rudeness sets a lifetime of impression

I was looking for a part and was not disappointed! It was the last one they had and after a phone call they held it for me while I drove across town. They also had a mag I needed at a decent price! Thanks guys

I went in yesterday evening to have some sight work done and (I know it's cliche') I couldn't be happier. As I walked in I was greeted by a woman (Tammy ?) who welcomed me to the shop, asked what I needed, and directed me to Spencer. Spencer had the work done in minutes while I looked around to find a Yugo SKS and a Garand with a 2M s/n I really would not mind adding to my collection. Ammo is priced similarly to other stores although the inventory isn't what it would be at those other stores which is to be expected; it's simply a smaller location.

Outstanding Very knowledgeable people in all areas. They treat customers very well! I'll be back.

UPDATE AS OF DEC 2018: Decided to mosey in to see if this store has gotten any better. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I walk in, and every clerk felt it was better for business to continue to hold BS conversations with their buddies instead of asking the customer walking in if they need help. Must be a store where only friends get helped... I'll take my $$$ to Family Firearms instead where the prices and services are A+ This place used to be the go-to store in the Springs, mostly because the owners were behind the counter and treated their customers with respect. Now they decentralized that, and hired some pathetic employees who think they are God's gift to the firearms industry. They dont even know what kind of FFL they are working under.. Definitely not a manufacturer even though the are building SBRs! Its comical how arrogant these trolls are behind the counter when they talk to customers, especially the fat one. He immediately tried to upsell to a private looking to buy a pistol. Looks like I will take my business elsewhere because this store sucks now. Leaving 2 stars because of what it USED TO be, hoping they can fix this mess.

This is by far one of the best gun stores in town! Why? Because they have the friendliest, most knowledgeable and professional staff! Not only did they guys take their time to show me their own personal rigs/attachments, but they also referred me to a place that had a good setup. This place also sells parts kits for high cap magazines, outstanding if you need something for your AK/AR/M1 by Magpul. Did I mention a variety of tactical systems? Everything from SBRs, high caliber rifles, AKs, ARs, M25 clones and accessories are available. The great thing is none of the staff here are "tacticool" operator wanabee geardos, they know what they have and will help you pick a product. The prices are also awesome and they have a mil discount! Highly recommended! Keep up the great work!

This is, in my opinion, the best gun store in Colorado Springs. Super friendly staff, no "know it alls," and a lot of accessories which is what a lot of gun stores usually lack. I'll be buying from them from here on out.

Springs Armory earned my business! They have great inventory of handguns, rifles, ammo and accessories. And they proved they have GREAT customer service (see below). Needed help from a FFL this morning to send a handgun to Taurus and arrange for Taurus to return it to me through an FFL. The store where I bought it wouldn't allow their FFL to help me ship (even though I'm required to get FFL signoff) - they are one of the BIG BOX gun stores on the S end of Colorado Springs. The other BIG BOX gun store near them wouldn't help me either. OK Then...I see how this works - I'll take my business to Springs Armory. And I'll tell my friends this story. Thanks Springs Armory!

Since being stationed at Colorado Springs, I have only used Springs Armory for my firearms purchases and transfers. They have only ever been accommodating, professional, and helpful. I recommend them to everyone thinking of taking advantage of the Glock Blue Label program or when ordering to an FFL for transfer.

I took my brand new AR10 to the springs armory to have a floating handguard put on. First the guy said he could do it but I had to sign their "standard agreement" that stated they were not gunsmiths and if they mess up your gun its not their fault. I figured how hard could it be? Well they had some problems and cross treaded the hand guard treads. But its ok he said "they fixed it with a dermal tool". Other than that, their prices, and the fact they treat you like an idiot, it's exactly the kind of customer service I've come to expect in Colorado Springs. They only got one star cause you have to mark something.

went there Wednesday 9-16-20. Purchased what i thought was a .40 sgm magazine rebuild kit. And what was in the packaging was a 9mm rebuild kit. My car was just detailed and the receipt was lost. However i have the bank record and card used to make the purchase, but they still wouldnt exchange something that was their error to begin with. If they make it right ill fix my review, as i have loyally shopped exclusively with springs armory, and this is the first time ive ever had an issue.

Only been here a couple times but everyone I've come across has been cordial with a wealth of information not just on weapons, but custom builds, laws, inventory updates etc. Can get über busy so skip holidays and weekends if you need an in-depth consultation. Bonus: the store literally has connections to other stores on the same strip that have weapon-related specialties

Took a warcomp here to be torqued down and it was easy and fast. Chase did it for me and not only was I satisfied with the work, he had a fantastic attitude (especially considering most gun store employees are sarcastic/arrogant) I would go back to Chase for future gun work.

Great customer service! Came in to look around and loved the prices. Jeff was great and showed me all kinds of different guns. Helped me out with the right fit. The entire staff made sure I was comfortable with my purchase and went above and beyond what they had to. I will definitely be back! On a side note, one review said they don't tell you about the 3% card service charge, which is complete crap. I was told multiple times from the moment I walked in until I got done. The sales guy, manager and cashiers all mentioned it.

My husband ordered some guns and had Springs Armory as the receiving store. Prior to the guns arriving, my husband deployed after receiving some short notice orders. The guns arrived and Springs Armory contacted me to inform me our goods were there. Here is where life got difficult. Since my husband is military and I am not from Colorado, I had no proof of residency. I literally jumped through so many hoops to prove I lived here and was a resident. It was a headache but after several more hoops, I was able to show I was a resident. I went to pick up my goods and waited only to be told I had been denied the right to purchase a fire in the state of Colorado. I was informed about the appeal process and promptly sent everything over.After 30 days of waiting to hear back about my appeal, I was informed my appeal had been approved ( whatever they were denying me for wasn't even on my background! That's a whole other story). I happily picked up everything today. I can not speak for the other staff members other than Tammy, who is the only one I worked with, was great. Actually great is an understatement. Through all my frustrations (and trust me when I say out of frustration I was probably not easy to deal with), she was patient and kind and understanding and helped where ever she could. My actual experience with Springs Armory was great though the process of purchasing a firearm in the state of Colorado is a bit of a headache. I'd encourage any and all in the market of a gun in the area to only do business with them. If I ever have the need for another firearm, this will be the only place my husband and I use. Great little store!! Met these guys a while ago at a gun show. Very friendly and knowledgable... Really nice to see them have their own store! Good selection w good people!!! Not only do the do guns but if u need a custom holster, mag pouch, wallet clip .. Whatever! They have a guy that does them too at really fair prices.

These guys are awesome; they make time for everyone in the store and are completely understanding of what you're interested in. They let me examine the products before making a decision and were unbelievably patient; Chris was the guy who helped me. The BG check was quicker than I expected (which helps when you have nothing to hide) and I walked out of there completely happy. I'll definitely be going back later on.

YES PLEASE! These guys are great... took care of an issue I had getting a gun shipped to me. PLUS, they took care of a transfer that I got hosed out of at Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo. They have incredible prices on most merchandise as well! Picked up a couple magazines there for $10 less than any other store in the area (big box and locals).

Having the pleasure of traveling the country and visiting many gun stores; I must say I was really impressed. Met with ownership who welcomed me to the store with open arms. The presentation of the merchandise is top notch, staff was more than friendly, they were personable. The selection was impressive, including thier used inventory. From beautiful ARs to custom cerakote handguns, this shop had lots to offer. Customers were all treated with respect and there was no pressure. I listened as people shared hunting stories and others needed help purchasing thier first handgun; and the staff were active listeners and educators. I don't live in the Colorado Springs area, but I am jealous of those of you who do! Support this wonderful shop and they truly do love what they do and live to make sure you love your interaction!

FORGET SPECIALTY SPORTS! These guys are the real deal. They have veteran discounts, and the prices are very fair. Awesome store! I was looking for a hard to find Glock 17 gen 4 and even though they were sold out they were able to order one and have it in my hands in less than a week! All of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. It was my first gun purchase and Tammy made the process extremely quick and painless. Highly recommended!

I've bought I dunno how many guns, magazines, ammo, parts, parts kits, and done several NFA transfers through Springs Armory and they are my First "Go To" in the Springs! Good selection. Their prices are the best in town, especially considering that they're really not "in town" so their Sales Tax is SIGNIFICANTLY LESS than most others in the 'Springs. Military Discount on background checks and transfers. Very knowledgeable on NFA transfers (and with a Silencer Shop Kiosk)! And they are a Glock Blue Label Dealer! Too, Tammy is a sweetheart. Very professional and she really cares about her business. I once had an issue over a quoted price, but she more than made up for it. The staff is very personable and offer helpful and friendly service unlike most others in the 'Springs, who too often push their views as the Truth on Guns. I am a definite repeat customer and a die-hard fan of this Small Business!

Have purchased ammo from there and received a great deal. Went there again to purchase more. On the way in noticed the clearance table next to the checkout so I stopped to take a peek. There was a rifle on the table so I moved it out of the way. I think her name is Tammy, with a shitty attitude said "is that yours." Said no just moving it. Looked a little more and left and picked up 1000 rounds on line.

Outstanding store, the woman who I believe was or is the owner was very professional and very polite. I am not sure if they run hand and hand with red leg tactical (which is the store next door) but the level of customer service in one does not equal the other I can tell you that much. Much more professionally run by her and her employees are outstanding and very helpful. I would strongly recommend going here, but strongly recommend you not use Red leg Tactical next door.
