Love the old stone houses, especially when you turn one into an Inn. We arrived about 20 minutes before they started serving dinners, so they asked us if we would mind waiting at the bar. Beautiful old bar with fireplace, wide plank floors, decorated with stuffed pheasants, German beer steins, pictures and a deer head on the wall....( man cave ).
Dining area had approximately 12 tables, wide plank floors, more pictures and fireplaces, exposed rafters in ceiling and stone walls throughout.
After being seated we were given the option of the full menu or the $12 buffet dinner this evening. We opted for the full menu, although I did get a good look, and took photos, of the buffet. Buffet choices looked like lasagna rollatini, stuffed turkey breast, sliced ham, sliced beef and assorted vegetables.
Our dinners were beef Wellington and filet mignon. Appetizers were bruschetta and prime rib skewers in a horseradish cream sauce, and for dessert we had a mousse pie and a slice of strawberry shortcake. Everything was delicious and relatively inexpensive.
Our dinners were a 4 course meal at $25/ each.
The personnel were very friendly and attentive.
Highly recommend and will most likely return when we are in the area.
