La Cocina’s Municipal Marketplace Food Hall in the Tenderloin Will Close on September 1 - Eater SF

"Plus, SPRO Coffee is amping the neighborhood’s already robust coffee scene by opening on Golden Gate Avenue and Polk Street." - Paolo Bicchieri

Where to Find The Best Lattes and Cold Brew in San Francisco Right Now | Eater SF

"If the Bay Area is home to pioneering minds in coffee, then SPRO must be the ones keeping the pioneers of the pioneers caffeinated. This “coffee lab” has a Spark Social outpost and one near Mission Dolores Park, both of which dish out truly wild coffee drinks. The Cold Fashioned, one of many mocktails and latte riffs, features cold brew, orange bitters, gum syrup, flamed orange twist, luxardo cherry – on the rocks, of course." - Paolo Bicchieri

SPRO Coffee Shop has quickly become my go-to spot for unique lattes and delectable food offerings. The lattes are definitely the star of the show. SPRO Coffee Shop boasts an impressive lineup of unique and flavorful lattes that are a cut above the rest. The red velvet latte, with its rich and velvety chocolate undertones, is an absolute delight. For the matcha enthusiasts out there, the matcha latte offers a harmonious balance of earthy flavors and smooth creaminess. Also worth mentioning is the hojicha latte, a warm and toasty treat with its distinct roasted tea flavor. Their menu of open-face sandwiches and pastries is impressive. The open-face sandwiches are a work of art, with a medley of fresh and vibrant ingredients piled atop a perfectly toasted slice of bread. They offer everything from savory options like avocado and smoked salmon to more adventurous flavor combinations. In a world where coffee shops are a dime a dozen, SPRO Coffee Shop stands out for its commitment to quality and creativity.

Google
Definitely top tier coffee spot in SF. I visit their location on Church the most often but their new opening on Polk offers more space and new items. It’s a huge incentive to experience the specialty items at each location. (The lemongrass banh mi and duck burrito omgggg too good!) Some of my favorite drinks are the classic gibby, after school, shiro, spiced islands, mardi gras, and island hop. There are still more drinks and food items I’m anticipating to try, I’ll eventually make my way through their entire menu. I rave about SPRO to all of my friends to check out, it’s worth getting multiple items. Their sandwiches, open face toasts, blueberry banana muffin, and cookies are food items I regularly return for. The entire menu is very reasonably priced for the quality of ingredients in everything. So so worth it. Their staff at both locations are also incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable as well. I dine in often to get work done using their available WiFi and outlets. Like what more could you ask for in a cafe? Lol

Google
Modern sleek look- great spot in Civic Center for coffee and the smoothies looked amazing . I had a chai latte and a lemon bar- both were amazing . The menu of larger food items looked very tasty - especially the breakfast burritos and sandwiches. The service was fast and very kind . Elena helped me and I hope she does again! Definitely will visit again!

Google
Such a new gem to the Civic Center area. It is inside of the first floor of the San Francisco Public Utilities building. It's serene with the high ceilings and minimalist space, you forget you are in the middle of the city. They have a good mix of specialty coffee blends. Each drink I've tried is smooth and high quality. Expensive coffee is ubiquitous in San Francisco but each order I've had exceeded each expectation. The island hop was smooth and had a good balance of sweetness. Urban jungle is a good green smoothie. If you are opting for green tea instead, the Tokyo rose is a good spin to a matcha latte. Staff is also very accommodating! I asked once if I could use sugar-free syrup and I did not get his name but one of the baristas in the back said he would make a special batch just for my drink. Thank you again! Plenty of space inside. One of the better coffee shops I've had in the city.

Google
Lovely creative coffee menu and a wide variety of food options. I’ve been here a few times now and they’ve been consistently delicious. I loved the bread pudding, the Hong Kong milk tea and the cookies the most. This time I got the bacon and egg pillow and I think the drink was called Madagascar, a latte with vanilla and muscovado sugar the pastry was great and well seasoned, coffee was well balanced and not too sweet.

Google
I recently visited Spro after hearing about their grand opening and I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The shop is decorated with comfortable seating and plants, creating a cozy and relaxing space. The coffee is top-notch. I ordered a gibraltar and it was made with high-quality beans. The barista took the time to ask me how I like my coffee, and they made sure it was perfect. In addition to coffee, the shop also offers a variety of pastries, sandwiches, and other snacks. I tried a croissant, and it was flaky and delicious. I later came back to try their breakfast burritos with steak and it was phenomenal. The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. It is a great place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and get some work done. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great coffee shop.

Fancy and elaborate lattes here 🌟 the staff are all so sweet

Google
Best drinks around! Amazed at the complexity of the flavor and the quality of the drinks. It is obvious how much care is taken when preparing and designing their craft. Can't recommend enough.

Yelp
I came here for a quick drink during my lunch break at work. The staff turns out the line pretty quickly. I wanted something refreshing and the staff helped let me know which teas they could make cold. I decided on an iced matcha with oat milk. The matcha was really smooth and semi-sweet. I will be back to try other drinks.

Yelp
Convenient in a fancy building. It's always bustling in the lobby and it's a great way to enjoy the vibe with a light bite and drink Ig@blacktigereats

Yelp
Not impressed. This place is probably only doing well because of its location. The underwhelming: 1. There's no sign for online order. They didn't call names or number but just left the drink on top of some machine. Discovered on your own... 2. The coffee and pastries look nothing like the pictures on their website. I was excited to try several items but once I saw them in the store I changed my mind. Cookies looked thin/flat and fruit pastries looked pale/old and thin. 3. No latte art on my orange latte drink.

Yelp
Novel drinks, jazz, and ample seating with a beautiful view - cant really ask for more. If you're a latte lover, then you have to come here. Some of the most creative drinks I've seen, lots of them are Asian inspired. They also have a pecking duck breakfast burrito that is DELISH. This SPRO in civic is tucked away in a water facilities building and I think I prefer this one to the mission location. It's very well maintained and they are always playing the best lo-fi beats! My only wish is that they open past 5 so I can come more often after work. But for now I will just have to sneak away between meetings so I can to enjoy this wonderful cafe.
google avatar

Yelp
The strawberry croissant pie is very yummy. Definitely will order that again. The coffee it tastes very rich and flavorful. The people that works there are very friendly and very nice. This coffee place has very nice big opening area. They also offer healthy lunch, like salads, sandwiches and pasty.

Yelp
Directions to: It may be easier to find on Polk rather than Golden Gate, but if you meet a nice building staff member at the front, they will make sure you don't miss it ;) SPRO is my kind of cafe paradise. I mean it in the sense they have a wide assortment types of drinks (mostly coffee but not just) that always pokes at my weaknesses - wanting to try everything on a menu. Also for beginners like me wondering what SPRO (in terms of a menu item) is... it is their way of espresso!
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a quick coffee. I ordered an iced island hop latte and it tasted so good if you like sweet drinks and ube!
google avatar

Ju L.

Yelp
SPRO has one of my favorite drinks which is their orange blossom. This time, I ordered the americano and it was okay. It was very bitter which is not how I like my coffee. But it might be suitable for others. I would probably get their orange blossom next time. Also, this location seems to be a bit cheaper than the one in the law school couple blocks away. The cafe is inside the government building but is very casual with lots of seating available. The drinks come out pretty quickly too.

Milenia R.

Yelp
The orange blossom latte was sooo good!! Definitely recommend and it's a nice place to study
google avatar

Jem T.

Yelp
A coffee shop with less walls. Friendly staff. Quality ingredients and a wide range of menu items
google avatar

Dana Mae M.

Yelp
Coffee selection is large! Ordered the Island Hop which is Ube, Coconut, Spro (espresso), Housemade Tres Leches Milk. The tree leches milk pairs itself if great. But the ube flavor tasted very artificial probably because they do use an ube powder. Price is standard for the city at $6 for a 12 oz latte. Didn't try any pastries but they have a good selection from what I could see. Service is decent. One worker taking the order and making the drinks. Kind of slow since it's only one person. Parking is a bit chaotic. Granted the location is in the middle of the city. Be prepared to do a couple rounds looking for parking to go here!

Yelp
I've been here twice now. The first time I tried the Hong Kong tea the first time and loved how creamy and smooth it was. The second time I tried the v for velvet red velvet espresso drink and was not impressed. Because they have such an extensive menu I'm excited to come back soon to try a different menu item. Clean establishment and nice staff!
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
This is a cool coffee shop located very close to City Hall in San Francisco! It feels very modern and the signage is nice and large on the wall. I tried the "v for velvet" drink and loved it! It came in a cute cup and I thought the drink was very tasty. The default level as is, is not that sweet which I really appreciate. They foamed the milk very nicely and it was very creamy. The drink also wasn't too expensive but they do add a 6% extra for the SF Employee mandate. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Yelp
SPRO is my current favorite toast destination. I ordered the mash up with sous vide eggs and mashed potatoes. The sourdough toast was perfectly toasted, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. The presentation was impressive, with each slice of toast artfully arranged on the plate. The only change I will make next time is request less black pepper. My toast had so much black pepper I could barely taste the mashed potatoes/ other flavors.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
gave SPRO another shot (tried the Mission location before) because it has so many interesting options. loved the kyoto kiss (japanese organic white miso + spro espresso + milk + muscovado sugar); definitely a bold choice but I thought the saltiness was balanced out well enough and I could still taste the coffee. also had a sip of the orange blossom and that was so fragrant, perfect for someone who prefers a sweeter latte.

Yelp
Had a bit of trouble finding this location at first, not realizing that it's in the lobby of an office building, but once we got there, the quality was just as great as always. (I wish they opened a location in my office building!! Maybe someday...) Service was good. The barista was patient with my questions about their numerous espresso drink options. It was so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Indian Summer. The cardamom was a bit grainy, but the flavor was delicious. The latte art was beautiful. They have a fairly strong breakfast menu, though I wasn't hungry enough, so I just kept it simple with a butter croissant. While there isn't an abundance of seats, it was a fairly easy place to focus and work from. I didn't see any outlets near the tables though, so definitely make sure your computer is fully charged!

Yelp
Average size bagel with cream cheese, aioli, and smoked salmon. $14. ($17 including fees, tax, tip.) Great bagel but small, while great, substantial sandwiches down the street for the same price with less markup.
google avatar

Cory D.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice place to have coffee. It is quiet, so you can actually have a conversation, and clean. The surroundings are all white and clean, and it had a real new age feel to it. Prices are good too, you get a coffee for about $5.50. Service is nice, lots of people around so it's pretty quick and I have never had any issues. They were helpful too as it's a large selection. My colleague thought it was a bit too sweet, but I thought it tasted good and had a nice balance. I had the Islands Coffee, and it was interesting but I probably wouldn't get again.
google avatar

Alyssa Mae L.

Yelp
Tucked inside the Public Utilities building, this small cafe spot was a nice mid-day pick me up. The cafe itself is located on the first floor, accessible by both entrances into the building. There are a handful of tables and chairs, but not any near any outlets (charge up before working here). Otherwise, the space was nice, clean, and not too loud - a decent place to get work done and grab a quick bite with a friend. I ordered an Iced Indian Summer with oat milk. The drink was decent, notes of rose and cardamom. They only have on size of drink (12 oz.) and my total came to almost $8 without tip. A bit pricey for a small drink. Based on earlier reviews, I will come back to try the pastries and food! Otherwise, SPRO will be an once-in-while treat for myself when I need a pick me up.

Yelp
Nice to see this place open up in the TL. Little awkward that it's in the lobby area of a state building. Friendly service but the price points are a little steep. I've had the cold fashioned a few times, which is a delicious take on an old fashioned with cold brew coffee subbed in for the bourbon. Would recommend to those looking for an alternative to Peet's on Van Ness.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
My friend told me about this place after visiting the mission bay location. There was an upcoming grand opening and since I can be easily swayed by a compelling story, after reading more about their story from a QR code, I was in! I opted for the cold brew and it was super strong (I had a VERY productive morning) from sipping the drink. The menu was massive and interesting -- there were many options with unique flavors. I could read the menu even when sitting on a red barstool. It was an awesome space. High ceilings, natural lighting and everyone seemed happy to be there. Great and efficient service, i feel like our drinks were ready as soon as we sat down. I would recommend coming by this place!
google avatar

Yelp
I come here occasionally but more and more recently I feel things are getting slower and slower. The coffee drinks are great once you get it but last time I waited more than 10 minutes for a coffee drink and only 3-4 drinks were served before I got mine, one for a person that ordered before I got there and 2 from what it looks like were online orders. Zero sense of urgency and there were 2 people working at the espresso machine, one at the cash register and one seemed to be working more in the kitchen side. The last I went I was not in a hurry but I can see if I would have to spend about 15 minutes to stop and get a coffee when there is no line at all I would not take a chance next time. The plain croissant was gooey and that might have been a combination of under-baking it and/or not letting it proof properly during the thawing process....assuming those are frozen products that they bake on site. If that was as fresh croissant, they definitively have bigger issues! The place does always seem to be nice and clean and while the building itself is really big and might feel a bit "sterile" it seems they did a good job with the cafe side to make every table feel cozy and not overcrowded.

Yelp
So glad SPRO Coffee is in the TL/Civic Center. With all the closures happening, this is a welcomed addition to this neighborhood. Today (7/17/23) was their grand opening. They had a selection of complimentary drinks and pastries, including a "cookie of the hour." My coworkers and I shared the brown butter chocolate chip cookie, the ube oatmeal cookie, and the confetti cookie. All were delicious! One of the to-go sandwiches that caught my eye was the Japanese egg salad sando. But they ran out during the lunch rush so it must be good. As for the drinks, I had the iced Spice Island coffee, which had cayenne pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark chocolate. It was so delicious! The spice wasn't overpowering and it complimented the chocolate. The space they occupy is the first floor of the city's PUC building. There are a few tables and chairs to sit. It can get loud there if there's a lot of people. I hope the building turns on the screens. It used to be a moving mural of how water is pumped from Hetch Hetchy. The people who work there are extremely nice and definitely held it together under pressure, especially during the fire alarm! I will definitely come back to try more of their items. I plan on getting a breakfast burrito tomorrow, but I am eyeing one of those pastry pillows or mochi waffles.
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
So glad they finally filled this space! The space has been vacant for a while. Came here on grand opening day. They offered a complimentary beverage and cookie. I was in between the Mardi Gras (chicory root notes) or Spice Islands (chocolatey chai noted). Got the Mardi Gras and loved if so much! Also got the ube oat cookie but felt indifferent about that one . Tasted the Spice Islands and definitely glad I chose the Mardi Gras. Also tasted the brown sugar cookie and matcha cookie. The brown sugar cookie was the fave of the 3 I tried. Didn't care for the matcha cookie. They bake them fresh! Staff worked very fast and took time to explain the drinks to me. I really appreciated it. Thanks SPRO!

Yelp
This coffee shop is a must-try! A friend introduced SPRO to me and now I can't stop going. It's located on the ground level of the SF Water Power Sewer building, very close to City Hall. It's not located in the best area, but it's worth the trip! You'll see some of the Tenderloin "characters" roaming around. They do have other locations in the city. I'm always on on the lookout for what I call "fancy coffee" and this spot is 100% worth it. My go-to is is the Orange Blossom Latte (with oat milk). The orange extract adds another level of flavor that pairs so well with the coffee. I'm usually a basic oat milk latte gal, but this is one of the few spots where I'll order one of their flavored lattes, specifically the Orange Blossom Latte! Highly recommended!

Yelp
A sleek cafe in the lobby of the SFPUC building. They have quite a menu for handcrafted coffees and teas (which I haven't tried yet) as well as some pretty pastries and a selection of grab-n-go food and snacks. They also offer hot food but also have yet to try any. I come back for the chicken caesar salad - the chicken is flavorful, herby in a good way, and the greens are always fresh. A lot of sliced red onions but easily pushed aside if they're not your thing. I had a fruit pillow a while back and it was okay (fresh strawberries weren't ripe, the pastry part was fine) but the matcha/white chocolate chip cookie was really good. And staff: always service with a smile!
google avatar

Wendy H.

Yelp
Well I missed the opening day because I wasn't in the area but I dropped in this morning! Got the V for Velvet espresso. The drink was good, not watered down and not bitter like the ones served a block away. This was the prettiest cup of coffee I've ever seen. The coffee was lukewarm. I prefer it hot so maybe next time I will ask that they make it hot. Since they are new, there is a bit of a wait for your drink. If you're in a hurry, consider dropping in after they got the kinks worked out. They also serve lunch and breakfast. Free WiFi courtesy of SFPUC.

Yelp
Nice coffee spot in an area I rarely go to! This Spro location is bright with huge windows and light. A little hard to find at first since it's inside a building. I came for their opening day where they had a choice of complimentary drinks and pastries. I got an iced spice islands, which was very rich and creamy while refreshing and cinnamon-y. For the croissant, at first I thought it was too hard, but it ended up being a nice blend of doughy and flakiness. The workers were really nice! It seemed like they were still ironing some things out, but I didn't mind since it's day 1 and I still got my food pretty quickly. Not sure if they plan to have Wi-Fi eventually, but I hope they do!

Yelp
Had a great time at SPRO for lunch. The new location is super accessible and very cute. My one gripe is that there never seems to be enough seating but that is just the nature of the location. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well and will tell you all about their drinks! I got the Tokyo Rose (matcha) and the Veggie Tales sandwich. My review is mainly regarding the food and drink. The food is pretty expensive for a small portion. The veggie tales sandwich was around $11.5 for a small ciabiatta roll (it was stuffed with veggies and cheese) and was extremely fresh and tasty, the sauce was delightful. I was a little disappointed with the Tokyo Rose matcha. It was overly sweet for me and the matcha flavor was super diluted. I've had other drinks from SPRO that are excellent like the Spice Islands and would recommend the coffees over the teas! A great place to grab a lil afternoon treat and meet up with friends!
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
I found this great coffee and breakfast place near our high rise. I'm so glad I did. I had the best smoked salmon bagel sandwich I've ever had. It had the most delicious wasbi honey on it and it made it taste so much better. My husband got a sausage breakfast burrito and liked it as well. I ordered a chai and the barista elania made such a cute design on my chai. She was great!! I also got 2 cookies to go a brown butter chocolate chip and a macha white chocolate chip. I looked forward to coming back and trying something different.
google avatar

Kosmo Z.

Yelp
I was in the area, and didn't know SPRO was located inside this building. It's in a cozy little area, and they've a bigger menu than door dash does. I have been a frequent customer through DoorDash, and it was nice to be able to check out the seasonal menu. Service was nice, and you clean up after yourself after you eat. I'll probably return for more pastries in the future.
google avatar

Justine Ray M.

Yelp
Shout out to the chick with white hair dye :) always giving out beautiful latte art Taro drank island hop is thick! Hella pretty tho. I feel full

Maria L.

Yelp
I work nearby so I've enjoyed Spro for some time. It was already relatively pricey but the prices just increased... my drink went from $6 to $7, $7.43 with tax. Maybe it's in my head but I feel pressured/judged if I don't tip. The tips are preset at $1,2,3 which would bring my total to $8.43. Unfortunately I will be attending smaller/properly priced cafes nearby. Otherwise, the drinks are nice, seating is plenty and the building is well lit.
google avatar

Yelp
nice small coffee shop located less than a block away from the SFO hall. We came here after a wedding ceremony for light refreshments before heading over to our reception services. It was very small and cute. They serve many options of cool drinks and pastries! the coffee was delish and they had a great selection of pastries we chose from. The matcha cookie, croissant, and another bread. Everything was really good and tasty! Service was superb!!
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately, my latte experience was quite disappointing. Long wait times and a questionable beverage left me feeling unwell. I doubt I'll be returning.
google avatar

Yelp
I went here for the first time with a friend after our first day of law school orientation. It's kind of hidden but eventually we got there. I will say I'm giving it 5 stars not solely on the drink. The mocha is good but not the best. It's bitter and made with actual ganache but if you're into extra dark bitter chocolate then I can see you liking this. I will give it another try. There was also an older gentleman that took us our coffee and put the lids and straws and he was very nice. So the service for this experience 5/5. The ambience ? It's inside a bigger building so it feels very grab your coffee and go to work but it's fine it's not make or break so I'm doing to give that a 5/5 only because it had plenty of lighting and was nice and clean and fresh. THIS drink in particular ima give it 3.4/5 but, I will try another one next time.
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
Only the 5th person on line but I stood around 20 minutes to get my order taken. I like this place a lot, but they seem to struggle with a small rush. They may have been down a human at the counter, but I'll think twice next time I see a mid size line. The pastries are very nice and I love the avocado toast. Staff are also super cool.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
the service is great, baristas are always on point. The DUCK BURRITO is to die for. Dont waste your time or money on the pastries, they never taste too fresh, the salads are overrpiced.

Yelp
I visited SPRO CoffeeLab on their opening day (7/17/2023) and it was a lovely experience! They had a complimentary drink and pastry menu to celebrate their grand opening and I tried the Spice Island - it was the perfect blend of dark chocolate and cinnamon. The entire menu is so creative and well thought out, I was really impressed by the flavor combinations and options available. Everyone working was so kind and friendly and the open layout of the space makes it feel modern, inviting, and airy! So excited to go back!
google avatar

Jasmine W.

Yelp
I have been here a few times, and I love the vibes of this place. The space is nice, and I love the design of the place and its look. The staff is also pretty polite. The drinks, however, are just okay?? I tried a couple of lattes and a matcha drink, but I did not find any of them particularly spectacular, just okay. My friend ordered a cold brew and thought it was sour. Despite the drinks not being the best, I do like the cafe itself, so I would come back again for the environment and will still order a drink though their drinks are not that great.
google avatar

Julianne L.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to Spro for a fun drink or snack! Spro is on the first floor of the SF Public Utilities Commission building, and is a good addition to the area. The space is open, trendy, and minimalistic. This is a nice place to have a quick break! I've tried these few drinks and pastries already: - Spice Islands - tasted like a nutty, cinnamon mocha. This drink is rich, delicious, and really kept me wired for the whole day. The menu says that this drink has cayenne in it, but that wasn't noticeable to me. - Shiro - not enough matcha or white chocolate flavor. I ordered it with oat milk, and it only tasted like oat milk. Boo! - Hojicha - Very tasty! The roasted tea flavor really shined through in this one. This one has less caffeine than the other drinks. I also ordered this one with oat milk. - Brown Butter Dark Chocolate Cookie - This is your standard cookie. Size-wise, it's decent, and I liked the flaky salt on top of it! - Bacon, Egg and Cheddar Pillow - This pastry is pretty pricey ($8.5 pre-tax), but I enjoyed it and got full off of it. It has a sunny-side up egg on top of strips of bacon on a puff pastry. This pastry is pre-made so the egg yolk doesn't run. However it is still soft and the black pepper and saltiness really satisfied my salty snack craving. Overall, prices here are a bit steep, especially since the regular size is only 12oz. Other than that, the staff is friendly and upbeat, which adds to this location's great atmosphere!

Yelp
Im leaving four start because the space is nice, the cashier people are polite, and this is a good spot. However, please take that breakfast sandwich off your menu. I was so taken aback by how bad it was I couldn't finish half of it. Thick cuts of cold tough prosciutto, cold chopped egg salad, with way too much salad on a cold bagel. NO. I say that in the nicest way since I like this place in general. Do not recommend that item and do not waste your money. Try other things here.

Yelp
Yay!!!! I was able to attend their grand opening and what a cool experience. All the staff and workers were very helpful, hands-on, and welcoming. Considering it was their first day, I thought they did awesome. I'm so happy this is just a block from my office. It's located around civic center/TL so just be mindful. The space inside is bright and open. I'd definitely come here to do some work or study. On their first day they served complimentary drinks and pastries. I ordered the iced latte with oat milk and butter croissant. Coffee was nice and bold--just how I like it. They had an interesting menu with an extensive selection. Soooo, I definitely will be coming back to try their other items.

Yelp
Super nice and friendly staff! Ordered a "Madagascar" and it was not good. Extremely bitter despite it being advertised as containing vanilla and sugar! Had to toss it sadly.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Kinda tucked behind the SFPUC building - and at first a bit industrial looking. But banish any notion that either their location or esthetic telegraph the culinary delights inside. Their food is consistently excellent - I recently ordered a duck burrito and so ravenously ate it back at my office that I nearly aspirated the foil wrapping. The Unami bomb toast - Avocado toast with a much needed Japanese make-over complete with Ikura, etc., is- delicious. Finally, I would be remiss not to recommend the cold sesame noodles - they are fantastic - and the watermelon radishes served with them provide the perfect bitter crunch. The cold brew is strong and tasty. These folks know what they are doing.

Yelp
This place has incredible breakfast burritos! It's super affordable at $11.50 and the thing is dense! I've been coming here since they have opened and have been either picking up a pour over or one of their specialty. Lattes. It looks like they have a pretty big selection of mixed drinks and they don't use artificial stuff. If you're looking for just a regular cup of coffee, they have drip coffee at 3.75 which is probably the cheapest I've seen for coffee. I believe Philz Coffee down the street is much more expensive and much longer wait. I'm pretty impressed and looking forward to coming back on a regular basis.

Yelp
Decent coffee but got hit by a hidden fee for absolutely no reason. Kind of annoying that they feel it's okay to cheat customers.

Yelp
If your looking for great coffee near Civic Center plaza I highly recommend Spro coffee Lab. They have a large menu of unique custom coffee to try. They also have delicious fresh food items made on site to eat there or grab to go. The customer service is excellent. Thank you SPRO for doing it right.
