Hawaii’s Maui Tacos opens in January 2019 | Eater Vegas

"Founded in 1993 by celebrity chef Mark Ellman, this fast-casual Hawaiian-inspired taqueria is slated to open in the southeast in January inside the Sprouts Retail Center. The menu emphasizes island flavors—Hawaiian BBQ pork burritos, fresh fish tacos, chicken enchiladas, mango salads, pineapple salsa and coconut flan are all highlighted—alongside signature “Surf Burritos” that can be served “wet” with enchilada sauce and a salsa bar offering heat levels from mild to the fiery “Maui Firedancer.” The Nevada franchise plans also include a Reno branch later in the year and an overall goal of operating multiple Las Vegas outposts; diners will additionally be able to order beers from Maui Brewing Co." - Bradley Martin

Popped in to check out the grab and go bowls and they did not disappoint. I can always depend on Sprouts quality produce and I was asked at least 2x if I needed help or assistance. Staff have been so kind and helpful. Its clean, shelves are well stocked. I love it here.

Google
Love this store. I always find what I’m looking for. Early mornings are the best time for special offers. I personally do not support self checkout and promote having a personal interaction at businesses. Top notch cashier is John - you can find him on the very end. He is attentive, clean, very polite, and I have had several great conversations with him. With the new rewards program- he always asked if I want to use my points and never assumes. I would honestly wait in a long line for him to ring me up versus going to a self service check out.

Google
This was place is clean and staff are helpful. I actually went in seeking a donation for a school event and the manager, John was so nice and helpful. Shout out to Sierra who assisted me when I came back to pickup donations. Truly appreciate them and their generosity.

Google
The Sprouts at 1140 E Silverado Ranch Blvd is a great place. Everyone is very helpful. Over time some of the people that have helped me find items are:Sheila, John, Marci, Riley, Laura, Chris, Kenya, Kelly, and Rob. Check the place out.

Google
I absolutely love the store all of its chains. I’ve been shopping at the store for years when I was living in Vegas the convenience of it being so close to the airport in Vegas is wonderful. I can’t say enough about the store, kombucha hot food, cold foods organic produce. They have it all totally worth it. I can’t wait for them to spread to the Midwest.

Google
Kenya was the nicest lady to check me out. I came in on a day I was having bad anxiety to pick something up and she was just the sweetest talking to me about jewelry making and the pendant I was wearing (she had no idea I was having such a bad anxiety moment). We need more people like her that are just kind in the world. This is not my regular grocery store I usually stop in maybe once a year if that it just happened to be on the right side of the street and I only needed a small bit of produce.

Google
This experience was pretty nice. There was some great sales today such as $10 off meat if you spend at least $25. It was a rainy day so I had the store to myself pretty much and the self checkout ladies we're so extremely helpful and incredibly nice. The only complaint I would have is the same complaint I have at every grocery store which is that they don't sell organic lemons that are not in a bag.. And if they do then chances are they don't look very good. Also, The pineapples all looked and smelled bad which was really disappointing because this is one of the only places I can find a Dole pineapple. I did find my favorite yellow dragon fruit (which is hard to find) but it was difficult to pick out of the bunch because they were all wilting already. Lastly but not least, I would love it if they carried jackfruit because that is also hard to find. But overall I only spend about $150 between meat and produce and I was able to fill the grocery cart!

Google
This sprouts is no different then the rest with the exception of their hiring practices. Its not so difficult to be friendly and efficient. The front end needs work on handling a range of issues, to include clerance pricing, returns etc. Mgrs needs eyes on the floor assisting with customer flow. The self checkout sucks at times. -Regular carts with cashiers please and properly manage the front.

Yelp
I Experimented with the Pick Up Service. I was running late and I thought I would try this. It worked AMAZINGLY WELL!!! My Grocheries were walked out to me by a very helpful young

Yelp
I guess the customer being always treated right has gone out the window at this store. I went in and found my Gravy. Great. I found my Marshmallows. Great. I looked for my Impossible Hot dogs--Nothing. I checked out. I asked the woman at the front if she knows when they will get more hot dogs in and she didn't know, she was nice and told me to ask Jody, the manager of the meat dept so I did. I asked the guy if he could get Jody for me because she was in the back--I saw her roll her eyes at the idea of helping me...Then I said Hi, Good morning to her and she stared at me... I said OK--I was wondering when you would get the Impossible hot dogs in or do you have any in the back--we don't-I have no idea. You are the manager, You do not know anything about your store schedule for delivery? OK--Maybe she doesn't but why the attitude and eye roll? If you don't like Your job--quit, I know a lot of people who would gladly take over. They Get 3 stars for me being able to find the other items and the nice woman at the front of the store... I will go back as its my closest Sprouts but I will just avoid Jody.

Yelp
Dear Sprouts, If I don't see MARILYN working at the Sandwich Counter, we're gonna have a BIG PROBLEM!!! That woman makes the BEST $4.99 SANDOS this side of the Missi-freakin-ssippi!!! Everyone else is terrible. We're bringing an army with some picket signs if you don't give that wonderful woman EXTRA hours! Don't mess with our beloved Pesto Sandwiches or else!
google avatar

Yelp
I come to Sprouts often for the build your own sandwiches. Such a great price for what you get. Today I came in and accidentally checked off the wrong condiment unknowingly. When I saw Marilyn put the "wrong" one on, she showed me my ticket and I realized I was the one who made the mistake. Luckily she had only put the condiment on and nothing else. She very nicely began grabbing new slices of bread and making me a new sandwich. I felt so bad for the mistake, but want to definitely shout her out for not making a big deal out of it or being mad. I will of course be back soon for another one. Thank you for my delicious sandwich today!

Yelp
Stopped by this location on my way home from the gym near by. Everything was nice and organized, love the lighting here. Lady at checkout was very friendly and helpful, much better than the sprouts by my house near rainbow and warm springs. This location has eggs at a very reasonable price. Will stop by again soon.

Yelp
So I ordered food last night and after I ordered I was prompted to tip the delivery person. I was fine with that. However there was a message under the tips that read, "Orders with tips are usually delivered faster!!!!! So if you decide to not tip, or tip in cash, your food will take a backseat to orders with tips, instead of in the order that the order was placed!
google avatar

Yelp
I made multiple visits to this location on a recent vacation in order to supply us with granola, apples, cashews and a few other items for breakfast and snacks. The selection was very good and prices fairly reasonable.

Yelp
Don't get the $5 or $6 sushi! They trick you and put alot of sauce on the spicy tuna rolls, charge $6 and when you open the container, it's 95% cucumbers or rice 1% tuna! Horrible!
google avatar

Michael V.

Yelp
Will rarely come here in the future and will use another Sprouts with better employees instead. Late night manager is cool, she is a Niners fan from CA and also helpful, friendly and good person. I'll state that before I get to other people there. A few days back I was at the deli line, waited a few minutes and no one acknowledged me, so I said to the dude cutting meat (more packages I assume) if he can take a order. Dude didn't turn around or engaged me sans the "can't you see I'm busy." WOW Day before Easter I go to pick up like 5 items from steak/fish spot and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and three minutes go by and two dudes standing there never acknowledged me. So I gave them a thumbs up and said "great service." Checked out my two items and will spend 95% less here for now on (normally $5,000 a year). They clearly don't want my business. Thought it was me and outside an older person told me same thing with him, staff didn't wait on him and he is done with Sprouts.

Yelp
VICOLO Original San Francisco Corn Meal Crust Pizza, ITALIAN SAUSAGE PIZZA with Roasted Onions. Picked up a few Gracie's and while waiting for my meat, from the meat counter, I perused the deli refrigerators and found this beautiful specimens. I bought 2 unaware. The But her was excellent and helpful but this pizza we ate today as a snack and the 3 of us patiently awaited the next pizza to come out. My family asked me to wait to stock our freezer before I post this review. So good. If you like Settobellas and it's closed or you don't feel like leaving home, this is a nice 2nd option!

Yelp
This is the Sprouts near my home and I shop here regularly. By and large they're fairly decent. They usually have everything I need, and with a couple of isolated exceptions over the years the staff has always been very nice and helpful. My mother (not on Yelp) shops here a lot and says this is the nicest staff she knows at any supermarket in town, so take that for what it's worth. They'll run out of and discontinue desirable stuff like some of the kettle chips and varieties of frozen foods, but that's not always this store's fault: The discontinued stuff is often a top-of-chain decision. But they do often run out of stuff everyone wants while having an abundance of stuff on the shelf that nobody wants. Produce I've found to be consistently stocked and of good quality. The meat quality is consistent but hit and miss in terms of what's available (especially with beef; the cuts available on the shelf might be subject to how butchers feel about what they want to cut or not cut that day). I do find the chicken and pork availability is consistent, and it's nice when sometimes they have cuts of turkey. Sometimes the hot bar has a lot of rotisserie chicken and sometimes not so much, but that probably depends on first come first served demand. Overall the availability and quality of stuff I look for is decent. They used to have a lot of trouble keeping stuff stocked (especially during the Covid shortages) but they seemed to have gotten better with it over the last year or so.

Yelp
My go to place for pasteurized organic eggs, roasted organic chicken, sushi's, New England clam chowder, etc. Plus the customer service from people behind the counters to their cashiers are nice, friendly and polite. The place is always clean and ambiance is welcoming. Location conveniently close to CVS, and surrounding eateries.

Yelp
The self check out lady was ridiculously rude. I was waiting in line while she was standing there talking about conspiracy theories with a customer that was taking up space in the checkout lane. When I spoke up for this nonsense she and the customer both proceeded to belittle me and defend not doing her job of manning the self checkout lane. Great business practice.

Yelp
Teresa was super helpful today! Really friendly and made everything quick and easy. Thanks, Teresa!

Yelp
Ron was so helpful at this location. Reminded me why I come here vs Smith's or other grocery stores. Helpful human interaction. Almost ordered online but saved $20+ bucks in tip, delivery fee etc I'll save delivery for a day I need it, felt good to go out into the world and get nice custom service. Nowadays the world lacks it.... Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity Ron, made me less anxious on the drive home seeing people run red lights lol drive safe and stay blessed yelp reviewers that read this.

Yelp
The store manager John, (I'm almost positive that's his name), brought out my online order in like record time. It was an easy process and he has excellent customer service skills. Always friendly as well.

Yelp
I have never been into the "organic" food wave and this is the first time I've been in sprouts. I always wondered why does organic produce cost more when they use less pesticide and other things, shouldn't it be cheaper? Anyway it's a well stocked, well displayed and easy to navigate but like I said more expensive than the "normal" stores. It's a very laid back and quiet. Probably would'nt go back as it's a pretty small selection and small store. It's OK but not great.
google avatar

Dena M.

Yelp
First time shopping at sprouts and I will be back. They have very good produce and premade meals. You do have to pay for bags but they are reusable. I thought it was going to be expensive but the prices are really good. Gemalyn was my cashier and she was so sweet!
google avatar

Talar L.

Yelp
Workers are super helpful and friendly. I was having trouble finding something and the associate lead me to what i needed and put effort into helping me find it.

Yelp
This Sprouts is one of the best in town! I started coming here after getting a new job nearby, and the $4 sandwich deal quickly became my go-to lunch option. The lady who made my sandwich (I didn't catch her name, but she's a bit older) was fantastic--she clearly took pride in her work and provided excellent customer service. As I was leaving, Ron offered me a sample and was super friendly. This location is clean, welcoming, and has a great vibe. Highly recommend it!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Normally I absolutely love the customer service here, not sure if it was the end of her day or not but one of the females working at the self check out needs "to be checked" on being more polite ... a smile goes a long way. That happened around 5pm on the 20th if that helps management. Like I said I get it people don't feel well or ends of of shift but being more friendly really really helps.

Ann T.

Yelp
I often visit Sprouts Deli for their sandwiches, Which by the way are very good in taste as well as value. Yesterday I went in to place an order and the elderly woman that was preparing the sandwiches took a look at me and proceeded to cough over the vegetables and then excused herself. I couldn't belive this was happening. If you are a person of color be careful, This sort of foolishness is starting again.
google avatar

Yelp
Came for Thanksgiving to get the Turkey dinner, we made the reservation online so they were very organized. The turkey pickup area was at the deli and there was virtually no wait. There was even extra staff on the floor that day who were extremely helpful and even had holiday cheer. The turkey was cooked and just needed to be warmed up in the oven for a few hours. It was very delicious and the family loved it. Thanks!

Yelp
Great location and very clean. Service is there is you need it... they like to ask you a lot if help is needed in the medicine area. My only gripe is that majority of the fruit never looks fresh. I went today and found so many of the strawberries with mold on them. The packaging was also very dusty for some reason. Things deff need to be triple checked before purchasing.

A E M.

Yelp
Favorite Sprouts in town. Shout out to Lira, Amy, Lee, Ron, Terence - my Sprouts people. Always friendly and helpful, kind and compassionate with whatever is going on in my life.

Gabriel A.

Yelp
No Evolution Watermelon juice today. But that's not the main concern the girl with baggy pants and black converse in dairy completely ignored me trying to get her attention multiple times and awkwardly waiting for a response. The guy in produce was helpful and the attendant at self checkout was friendly
google avatar

Teri P.

Yelp
I love going here as it's down the street from my house for the past year and a half but I have had with one of the ladies working the self checkout. Every time I need help she's super rude and makes me very uncomfortable. I even started going to Herbally Grounded for awhile just to avoid her and low and behold today my grapes scanned in twice and she was rude when I simply needed a clerks approval to take the extra item. Someone needs to talk to her about her customer service no need to be rude to someone nicely asking for help.
google avatar

Howard L.

Yelp
First time coming here. What's great about this place is that it's right next door to a great vegan restaurant and other great businesses. Came here to shop for a few things since I was in the area. Great prices on their Zevia energy drinks and other healthy snacks. Parking lot is packed as well most of the day. Well stocked store with great soup options to go as well.
google avatar

Alison B.

Yelp
Best deli sandwiches made to order! Great staff. Wonderful produce. Kids love their ice cream and dessert selection.

JN C.

Yelp
We walked into this store and it smelled awful, like feet and mildew. I had to go wait in the care because it was so overwhelming. Sprouts is supposed to be a well regarded store, but I never want to come back. It made me nauseous after thirty seconds and it was everywhere in the store. Very gross.
google avatar

Tiffany R.

Yelp
Being new to the Las Vegas AND this neighborhood I really enjoy going In and get fresh Fruits and vegetables, the meat is always reasonably priced and I love the clean store

Mike N.

Yelp
This location is mostly fine. Same as any Sprouts. Fairly expensive but decent quality. My MAJOR complaint comes from the fact that this location not only smells rancid as soon as you walk in and HAS for almost 2 months now (approximately) but now the products I'm spending 20-30% (again, approximation) more on are harboring that same smell. I bought 4 cans of the Olipop sodas, cracked one of them open and found that the can itself smelled like an older dog licked it for an hour straight. I do my best to maintain a level of understanding but this is just absolutely ridiculous and I refuse to spend more money at this location until they get this problem sorted.
google avatar

Austin M.

Yelp
I had a negative experience with deli this week. This week I came in twice to purchase sandwiches. The first time I was successful but I saw several other customers turned away. Today I was told the deli was sold out of meet and I couldn't order a sandwich. I am disappointed the customer service in the deli section.
google avatar

Jamie C.

Yelp
Probably the worst Sprouts I have ever been to , empty shelves, rude employees, Produce wasn't very good ... disappointing
google avatar

Sasha N.

Yelp
Honestly the stark difference in how well stocked this sprouts is compared to it's other location on green valley and horizon makes it worth it to drive a bit farther to the green valley location if I have a lot to purchase that day. I have even had a person, who was a normally working at other stores filling in at the Silverado location as a cashier, tell me this store was known for not being on top of having their inventory stocked. Even the quality of the produce is not as on point here as the other location. This tells me whoever is in charge of inventory needs a restraining or they need to bring someone else in. I appreciate what the store has to offer compared to a more traditional grocery store. It is more health focused and that is wonderful. The ability to access that much fresh organic produce is greatly appreciated, and they have lots of alternative options to foods whether it be vegan, or gluten free, and their supplement section is massive. It just helps when you can count on the store having what you need in stock, and it's hit or miss here.

Yelp
Terrence works in Vitamins. He is wonderful, very helpful and kind. I think he should be recognized for being a great employee. The next time you're in sprouts in the vitamin store ask for Terrence will love them.

Kim H.

Yelp
Thank you Ed (mgr) for taking my anxiety away . You were very helpful , we need more like you .
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
I shop at Sprouts for roughly 50% of my groceries, and while there's always room for improvement (like staffing), this location performs pretty well. It's definitely frustrating when it takes 15+ minutes to get a deli sandwich, but they make up for it with incredibly high quality at a fraction of what most delis charge for a decent sandwich. They also have wildly competitive prices on most of their groceries and in house items. I love their salad bar, easy meals in the deli area, and wide assortment of bulk items. When they do their 72 hour sale, almost everything in the store is discounted and pricing is unbeatable!
google avatar

Yelp
I love this store... i come her daily lol and the staff is friendly and always helpful. The store is clean too and most staff wears masks! The cashiers are friendly and efficient which always helps when in a rush lol Especially the cashier named "Dani" shes so sweet, personable and remembers me every time :-) she even has my paper bags ready when i get to the register ;-) i just love that.....oh and she gave me some coupons since i come so much Yay !!! I love the fresh organic fruits, veggies and drinks they have to offer and other organic foods :-) they even have great pet foods !!! Great prices too i highly recommend this location for all your market needs!!!

Taylor D.

Yelp
I spend A LOT of money at sprouts. I come here EVERYDAY. For the most part customer service is okay but when one specific person is working it is horrible (self checkout line) At this point I will be contacting corporate. I believe her name is Sheila? She is dark skinned, shorter hair. I'm sure if you visit this location often you know who I am talking about. She is unbelievably rude. And gives you dirty looks for no reason! She needs to be fired already.
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
Always check the best by an expiration dates when shopping here. They consistently have such items on sale in the store when they should be removed from the shelves completely. What's more is they have people that work in the vitamin section recommend the expired ones. This chocolate was purchased 2 weeks ago and sadly, I no longer have the receipt. I opened it to find "bloom". Look at the back and it is 7 months past it's "best by" date. While I understand dark chocolate can be eaten 2-3 years past this date, Sprouts should be more transparent with their practice. This has happened to me many times and I should know to check by now but sometimes when in a rush...

Yelp
My wife walked in today to buy a 10 lb rib roast. Upon approaching the butcher who was filling the refrigerators, he annoyingly and rudely asked "what do you want". She said she was looking for a 10lb rib roast and before she could finish the request he Butcher interrupted and said, "I'm not cutt'n anymore!". She said, Ummm, okay, but... he again interrupted, "theirs already cut grass fed over there (at $15.99 a pound) (and nothing larger than 8lbs). He said, "what else?" And she referenced the $3.99 thick-cut bacon. He again was annoyed and uninterested in assisting. How absolutely rude, unmanaged, unaccountable and unacceptable for a grocery store employee. These items are in today's ad and to have a butcher react this way to a simple request, 4 days before Christmas, caused my wife to take all the items out of her cart and walk out the door. And unfortunately this topic will likely come up time and again through out all of our holiday conversations with friends, party guests and local family. We won't go back to Sprouts - ever!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
They are really high on things you can get elsewhere for less. Deli is pretty good. I'll go in for their deli shrimps but not for regular grocery items. No reason to pay more, just to pay more. Nope

Yelp
It begins with the smallest of ideas, the ones that we grasp to change the world. Hold onto that thought. For it can be a motto. Live by it and once you have your mind made up then run with it. Sprouts grocery is an incredible example that started small and now delivers delicious organic healthy living to all its customers. The atmosphere of any Sprouts grocery is that of balance and well being. The minute that one walks in to work or shop a positive light is apparent. It is created by the happiness of the employees that spread all the joy that their company provides. The power of choice. Think about that for a moment, realize that Sprouts has chosen to be the change and pass on natural and organic clean living to its customers and the employees in a unique environment filled with greatness. Nothing is better than a "home." The greatness that I am conveying about Sprouts Markets and Grocery is this huge idea of family and wholeness. The sense of belonging to something bigger. How do we show and spread kindness, it starts at the level of community and family. "What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family." A special woman; Mother Theresa, made this famous quote. Harmony and hearth go together. It starts by what we put into our temples to keep us whole. Sprouts provides fresh excellence in variety, flavor and oh so much abundance. The holidays are again upon us, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years; the list continues. I love to cook and when I perform this task I require lots of spices and fresh produce. I can count on the importance of Sprouts rising to meet my needs for all that I require. I could go on and on about the produce department of Sprouts. The rows and rows of continuous veggies and fruits; with pricing that is good for the wallet. Mama always said, " you get what ya pay for." She meant that in a figurative way. Sprouts delivers deliciousness with high quality. This week the green bell peppers, for instance are 2 for 1.00. It's a week before Christmas. When fresh veggies are on sale they are always in stock too. No rain checks needed since the employees are continuously stocking and ensuring that the products one needs are ample in supple. Let's begin with some background of the store. The employees are important here. They are the cog that runs the store and the front line for me the customer. I always appreciate the love and life that I feel when I walk into this store. It's so alive with such joy and blessings. Every employee that I see has a genuine smile on their face. The employees love their jobs and coming to work. If a company can produce such happy employees then what does that tell you about their practices as a company. It speaks volumes. The company started its headquarters in Phoenix, AZ and spread out over the nation delivering a sustainable way to live with clean food. They pass on low prices for the products they offer to its customers. The company conveys a practice that is simple and realistic with effectiveness. Produce, produce, with rows veggies and fruit of all colors as far as the eye can see. The layout of the store is open with no walls except the separation of a few private aisles with health and beauty products. Need that perfect bottle of wine or IPA for look no further. Hard to find wines of all price ranges are available. The deli department offers fresh organic varieties of meats and cheeses pre cut. For those of us that can only find time by buying the magazine the ready to cook meats are an exceptional way to spoil one's senses. The tri tips that I purchased the other day were already precooked. All I did was heat it and add my own veggies to some color to my meat. The tri tips were delicious. The meat melted off the fork as one chewed the piece of meat. My brain can still access the simple happiness that Sprouts chef passed from their kitchen to mine. Don't let that bottle of wine or champagne get lonely while watching the game. Grab some chocolate dipped strawberries or orange slices for healthy dessert snacking. Bring brilliance and beautiful bliss to your space with fresh red rose paired along side your favorite wine and treat. Explore the world that Sprouts has created for our health by finding balance with clean food and products.

Yelp
Moms out there: This is the BEST Sprouts in town in terms of customer service. I'm thinking it has to come from the management and permitted throughout team members there. I've been a regular to other Sprouts in town, and no other Sprouts focuses so much on customer service, especially to moms with kids and babies. The last couple months of shopping there, they have been so helpful, and one if not a couple team members (from produce to someone restocking the shelves) ask me of my kids want a snack while we shop. Anything from yogurt, to a banana to even a fresh peach they even washed before giving my daughter. To a mom... having a snack offered is a LIFESAVER while shopping at the market. Plus, they also help out with loading they groceries in my vehicle. Which is super helpful as well, especially when I have a baby and a 4 year old on a 105 degree day in Vegas. On one occasion the manager even helped load my groceries in my car. That shows he cares about his customers and store. This location also has a salad bar and a prepared food section as well. I think this is the only other location with those amenities. There is a wide variety of organic options, and the prices are VERY good. Thank you Sprouts at Silverado Ranch for making our regular shopping experience extraordinary!

Yelp
This is my local Sprouts and I have no complaints about supply or service! The employees are always so nice and have no problem assisting in any way they can, even to check the back for something that's not on the shelves! The prices are of course higher than your average grocery store, this isn't my full grocery stock up spot because of that! I go for speciality items that I can't find anywhere else and I can't live without!!

Yelp
Very dirty. Workers wear gloves and touch cell phone's, face, glasses and then food. Also the staff is very rude and caught up in their own personal conversations with no customer service.
