Yelp
I came here just as places were reopening for dine-in, so I got to eat inside a restaurant for the first time in months. That was nice.
The fish 'n' chips were fine, emphasis on chips, which were good. The cod filets were thinner, longer and wider than I'm used to. Possibly on account of the thinness, they were dried out at the edges. Otherwise the fish was fine. I echo the sentiment that it's bizarre to charge for tartar sauce at a place like this, but I know the costs are high compared with, say, Taco Bell. They forgot to give me tartar sauce initially, so I had to ask them whether I had ordered any, and they did check to see that I had. No biggie, but I guess I would have preferred to have been spotted the tartar sauce on account of the confusion. It doesn't cost them much. I wish I remembered the important things in life, but instead I remember stuff like that.
The sides were *weak*. Other fish 'n' chips places I frequent had me thinking there was no such thing as bad clam chowder. The stuff here was thin and milky with a few clams in but little else. The potatoes tasted exactly like the ones from canned corned beef hash. The slaw was bland and had sat for too long.
I might try another location.
