I had the chicken and broccoli potato it was delicious. I did a walk in order, and it took about 15 minutes. The staff were very nice but some cleaning would be very useful.

When they first opened, it was great, a high-quality product. It probably took a year for it to go downhill. We stopped eating here due to disappointment on more than one occasion. I decided to order for the children as we do not live near Wayne State😉. They liked it, husband and I decided to give it a try again for ourselves. It was great! We decided to order again. They need to inspect the potatoes more closely. I would always end up with bad, in-edible potato skin in my potato, well, it happened again. Yes, the portions are huge, but how much is actually edible? The prices have gone up, We're willing to pay, do better.

The crew and I decided to try this place. Buffalo chicken was well liked. The chicken bacon ranch was well liked. I tried the steak fajita and loved it. Lots of food. Well worth the price. We will be back to try something else for sure. The gentleman that helped was very nice.

Very good food! The portion size is definitely worth the money. My only gripe is that they're credit/debit machine wasn't working. Other than that, everything was great.

Tried them yesterday and I had the Shrimp Alfredo and it was awesome so I had to go back. Today I got the Turkey Pot Pie potato and like yesterday it did not disappoint. I think I found a new spot after moving here from Chicago.

When calling Spud Headz to place my order, the young man on the phone was polite and courteous. I ordered a Seafood Potato. I was told by the young man who took my order that it would be 15 minutes. I arrived in approximately 15-20 minutes. Upon my arrival, my food was hot and ready. The young man in person was just as polite and courteous as the young man who took my order. (There were several people behind the window). The inside of the restaurant was clean aldo. My Seafood Potato was Absolutely Altogether Awesomely Delicious 😋. I recommend Spud Headz to all who have a craving for deliciousness.

I ordered an Alfredo potato with chicken. The chicken tastes fake that rubber consistency type of chicken. The sauce isn't cheesey it's just Alfredo sauce that sits on top of the potato so it doesn't even go throughout the dish. Below the top layer it's just regular potatoes. Wouldn't recommend this dish.

Customer service was great! Food was pretty good, but I wasn't a fan of the chicken. I guess the pieces were too big maybe I would've preferred it better if it was shredded or something smaller and seasoned. All in all I would order again, but try something different.

The chicken broccoli and cheese potato and the steak fajita potato was amazing!!! Can't wait to try more!

Chicken Alfredo + broccoli. This is something I could've made at home. I went here expecting savory, juicy, flavorful but instead was met with the taste of canned, processed, bland mess. The chicken - diced too perfectly. Like the chicken out those cans of Campbell's Chunky. Not a handmade cut. Not a grilled texture nor flavor. The "Alfredo sauce" - NOT HOMEMADE nor mimicking closely. Again, reminds me of a can of Campbell's Chunky soup. Very light in color nearly white, Too wet and jelly like vs thick, well seasoned, darker colored like how proper seasoning would do to an Alfredo sauce. Normally off white at least. The seasoning- I never add salt and pepper packets to my takeout. Today I did. Did y'all run outta seasoning??? Yes I'm greedy, yes I still ate it. Yes the customer service was on point. 10/10. Food? 5/10 since it was hot and done correct, on time. I will give 'em that. Willing to try again, a different potato tho.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm Ok so I've never tried this place before and really had no expectations going in. This was brought to me via doordash so I can only review the food not the service. The portion size is huge. This entire container was about $14 or so. This is their seafood potato. Shrimp, crab and scallops with a lemon cream sauce. I'm a huge seafood fan so the possibilities for this to be a hit was great. This was just a bit off for me. The potato Itself needed a bit of seasoning. The lemon cream sauce was a bit overpowering. It didn't compliment the seafood as I thought it would. I just had a lemony potato. I'm still trying to find the scallops never found one. It was not horrible, it just did not provide the culinary experience I had hoped for

Classic staple for the Westside. Used to have an additional location on 8 between Mound & Ryan. Sooo many ideas to choose from with the Potatoes. If you dnt know what to eat but know you want ya moneys worth and to get FULL. Simply pull up n buy some Spudz. Only con sometimes is trying to reach somebody on the phone!

Spud Headz has a nice concept -- smashed potatoes smothered in meats, cheeses and sauces -- but they don't execute it very well. I purchased a Groupon worth $15, so my husband and I drove there to give them a try. It's not in a good neighborhood. Of the five people who picked up orders while we were there, three of them reeked of pot smoke. Gross. There are unprofessional hand-written signs everywhere saying this or that, which is always a turnoff for me. The menu isn't very thoughtful or inventive. Just rudimentary chicken, steak and seafood dishes. I went with the chicken bacon (easy on the) ranch. Jacob ordered the chicken fajita. The girl who took our order was nice enough and we waited about fifteen minutes for our food. Like everyone says, you get a lot of food, but 75% of it is unseasoned smashed potatoes and you easily run out of toppings to eat with said potatoes. My chicken bacon ranch was tasty but the potatoes needed salt or butter, neither of which were provided in the takeout bag. Additionally, the bacon was, I'm 90% sure, Bacon Bits or Bacos. Very crunchy and artificial tasting. Jacob's fajita chicken dish was under-seasoned and he desperately wished the meal were spicier. For my net cost (about $11) it wasn't a bad meal. But had I paid full price ($20+), I'd have been bummed at the lack of flavor and toppings atop the potatoes.

These potatoes are so good and so filling. I split this with me and my two toddlers and we were all full to the brim! They were fresh and they were quick. I was skeptical at first because I'm 9 months pregnant and things aren't always right with eating out right now lol but I was not disappointed at all!!!!!!!! I will definitely be back! Probably gonna be obsessed for the next few weeks

First time ever coming to this place and i was not disappointed at all. Front counter guy was hilarious Food was phenomenal and I'm glad i stopped in I look forward to coming back!

I've never tried their food;however, that doesn't mean I didn't try. I went to order online for my order wouldn't go through so when I called to place my order my meal with so much more expensive than what it would've been online.

The don't specify if you're getting real crab meat or imitation. I called to ask a ques a guy that works there thought it was funny and said to me if it was real crab, do you think it would be that price? I felt that he definitely should've apologized for the inconvenience that was caused. i come from Maryland where they have the best seafood however, Detroit is where I'm born and raised. This was terrible. The imitation crab was soggy and thick! Didn't taste authentic at all. It also didn't have my scallops. I also talked to someone at 1:38 pm, on Monday 2/28/22. The guy said he didn't have to give me his name after he insulted me. I really hope someone can look at video footage with this because he's going to limit you guys customer volume. If I knew it was fake crab, I would've went with a different potato but the guys response was enough to never want me to do business there again. The bad part is I try soooo hard to support black owned businesses but what I received in return is that they don't care to have my business anyway.

This place never disappoints! He food is made to order and is so good. You don't want to miss out on the best spud you've ever had. Try it you won't regret it at all.

Today was my first time ordering from here. I got the chicken and broccoli with added bacon. It's amazing. The pita bread that came with it was plain, but nothing some butter can't fix. The person who took my order was very sweet. She explained how the menu works and what I could expect it to look like. I really can't wait to come back and try some of the other flavor combos. Most definitely will recommend this place for a good meal

I went there for the bacon cheese burger fries and the first bite was grainy as hell. Literally a bite of dirt. What really hurts is that I haven't been here in 6 yrs when the food was A1, I was hoping for the same experience. I get a bad day but it's like the potatoes weren't washed at all. Lesson learned I guess, hope something changes.

Comfort food! Went here with a friend who's a native Detroiter and had been pushing to visit for a while. There are a couple of locations but I've only been to the one on McNichols. Strictly takeout. We were annoyed off the bat because the credit card machine was down and they were only taking cash. They made up for it with a huge selection of baked potatoes. My friend had the pizza potato with pizza toppings including pepperoni and I had the taco potato with ground beef, cheese, salsa, lettuce, and sour cream. A lot of folks were ordering the chicken broccoli so that might be a popular one to try next time. We took the food to BNektar in Ferndale (which is BYOF) and several people came up to us to ask what we were eating because it smelled amazing. The potatoes went perfectly with the mead and cider and the portions are ginormous. We will definitely do the potato-mead combination again.

My container had a hole in it and the rice fell out. The rice was horrible. I came all the way from Brownstown to get this food and it was horrible never again

My wife was in the area for a medical appointment and didn't feel up to cooking; so, she picked up dinner from here. She was intrigued by the concept of the restaurant. She picked out a steak fajita potato for herself. She found the steak to be a slight bit on the dry side, but she is willing to speculate that she might have waited too long to eat her dish. Otherwise, she like the flavor of the dish. What she wasn't crazy about was that they smash the baked potato, and she would have rather have been able to smash her own potato. I had the corned beef potato. First off, I was confused as to why they put pita triangles in the dish. It has potato in it. It did not need the extra starch. It did not add anything to the dish over all. They forgot to put the Russian dressing on the dish which was listed in the description. Other than that the corned beef was good. The melted Swiss cheese was good. The potato was good. I would have given this place 4 stars in my review, but I counted off for missing ingredients and confusing inclusion of ingredients which added nothing to the overall flavor profile.

I was surprisingly disappointed, given the rave reviews here and what I've heard from others. Yes, you get a LOT of food. But 80% of it is unseasoned potatoes. After you've gotten through the toppings, you're just left with two pounds of smashed spuds. I had the chicken fajita, which was ok, but didn't taste much like fajita at all - it just happened to have the same ingredients as a fajita. Hardly any seasoning, zero spiciness. Aching for some flavor, I ended up covering mine with the side of ranch dressing that came with my wife's chicken bacon ranch. Hers was just as mediocre, and we were both convinced the "bacon" was actually imitation bacon bits. They get two stars because it wasn't inedible, just deeply unsatisfying.

First off, the girls that work here are sooooooo rude even when I was being nice she just didn't say a word. No hello how are you. NOTHING. Had an order for the shrimp scampi, shrimp Alfredo and the steak.. I had the shrimp scampi and it literally had FOUR OR FIVE TINY LITTLE SHRIMPS. A SHRIMY SHRIMP LOL. I thought there would be more in the bottom but nope it was just bigger pieces of potatoes. It was pretty good I added butter parmesan and extra sour cream to it. My friend who had the shrimp Alfredo also had four or five pieces of shrimp so I know that wasn't a mistake. The steak order had a really good portion of shrimp. So if you're gonna order anything I'd recommend something with meat because you'd be getting a better portion then something with seafood. PS I'm not being dramatic the shrimp was sooooooo small.

Ordered the seafood potato with "shrimp and crab" but turns out it is imitation crab and the shrimp tastes waxy perhaps it's overcooked.

The potatoes here are huge and very good. I had the chicken bacon ranch potato, and it was enough for me to make two meals out of it. The staff was friendly also. This location is closer to me than other potato specialty restaurants so I will return.

I absolutely love spud headz. Im not a big potato eater but here i am. Just ate here last night, yum yum yum, thats all i have to say.

Love the food and can't eat it all in one sitting! From the Bobbyhana rice to any potato, it's all spot on!! Note: at times they'll be open and won't answer the phone for a call in order (to make life easier), so you may have to order in person and wait! Just a FYI... The sole reason for not getting 5 stars.

I've had Spudd Heads 3 times now...each time the food taste different...but everytime the lady taking the order was very rude and short with me. The last time she yelled at me because I asked her did she get something on my order... after going through that with her I received my food and the Steak was completely unseasoned...I don't know if it was on purpose because I asked her not to yell at me or what...But I threw the food out because it was horrible... Sad to say this will be my last time eating there.... I really wanted to support a neighborhood business...Hopefully they can get a friendlier staff that won't hurt repeat business..

Food looks better than its taste. This was my first time eating here and will definitely be the last. Customer service is also awful. Staff plays loud rap music with profanity. Staff openly curse and let anything fly out their mouth. Waiting area not clean. Just a bad experience. Cashier didn't even thank me for coming she just called my name for my order and that was it

The food was delicious with good size portions and the price was really reasonable. I have had multiple dishes from here and they were all delicious

This potato was bland and lack luster to say the least. Since the potato was not tasty I will not be going back. They serve large portions.

Definitely ALOT of bang for your buck! I split it and still had left overs for the next day lol. Ordered the seafood potatoe and added steak. Everything was really good, I'd definitely come back. Hopefully the rice-based dishes are just as good.

I went to the location in Warren, on 8 mile between mound and ryan. I am new to the area and had been wanting to stop by for a while now. The name really sparked my interest, and the menu ended up being everything I had hoped it would be. All types of delightful foods on top of deliciously prepared potatoes. The serving was definitely dinner portion and was absolutely delicious. I got the pulled pork potatoes and was so pleased I cant wait to try so many other items in their menu. As it was my first time there I wasn't sure I would love the potatoes so I also ordered the loose burger fries, which tasted exactly how I wanted them to. I will definitely be taking a few friends to check this place out.

Typical reason why I give myself a break from Black Business. Decide to give it a try haven't had it in a while and you got it. Got home No bread with my food try to call No answer, go back up there, they looking Stupid like we haven't had No Bread the last Hour, WTF!? LIKE You couldn't tell me that when I Ordered!!! Not Again... I Actually had the Nerve to Tip they Azz...

The bread is amazing!! They had a $5 special on the steak cheese & onion baked potato....4 people can eat off of this!!! Definitely worth a visit!!

I was craving spud headz, I remember like around the time they first opened I tried it and loved it so I thought it would have been the same now but it wasn't.. they over loaded my potato, way to much gravy on my chicken and corn potato and not enough corn and very few pieces of chicken.. on top of that it barely has flavor, like where is the seasoning?? I was picking through it because I was trying to get to the good parts but unfortunately I never found anything good about it..

I had such high hopes for this meal and was so sorely disappointed! I ordered two potatoes - The 4th of July Potato and the Chicken & Broccoli Potato with bacon. The potatoes looked great, they did not taste great. Starting with the 4th of July - which was the one I really wanted, but because I was ordering through for delivery and trying to support I figured I would order two to taste different menu items (and have something to eat the next day). The BBQ sauce was awful, it tasted like it came out of a can or something. The "pulled pork" was chunks of like pork cutlet - nothing pulled or tender about it. I immediately skipped that potato after one bite and moved on to the Chicken & Broccoli. Because this one wasn't lathered in BBQ sauce the flaws were even more apparent. The giant potato was completely unseasoned - no salt, no pepper, no butter, it just tasted like nothing. The chicken had the appearance of a nice sear on it, but after eating it I'm pretty sure it was the Tyson "grilled" chicken tenders you can buy pre-cooked at the grocery store because it too had absolutely no flavor. The broccoli I'm pretty sure was frozen and overcooked because it was flavorless AND chewy. Fresh broccoli even if you put absolutely nothing on it still tastes like something. The cheese and bacon were the only saving grace on this potato, but even they couldn't make up for the rest. Everything about it was just bland. I couldn't distinguish between the various ingredients in taste or texture. I could somewhat get over all of the ingredients being pre-prepared (maybe) if they at least tasted good. So very disappointing when I've been wanting to try this place for so long.

OMG is all I could say when I got my boxes of food I mean it was like lifting weights I had 5 boxes and they were all huge portions. I saw them on channel 4 news and said I guess if they have three locations in only 3 years then they must be worth a try, so me and family went to there 6 mile location and got 5 huge portions of food we had the Ribs a half portion but they were huge also the Bacon chili cheese potatoe ,Shrimp Alfredo potato, Meatloaf potato and the salmon potato ,and every box weighed sat least 5 pounds and it all came up to less than $50.I have found my new go to spot if you want a really big meal and not worried about calories and getting the most for your money than they are a must.

The potatoe looked wonderful but it tasted just okay. It was ready within the told time but I feel it was not hot.

One of the best local food spots in the city! It's strictly a take out place, there is never a long wait for the food, and they never disappoint on the taste. I have, what they call, a "healthy" appetite (LOL) and I can never finish the potato in one sitting. I highly recommend this spot to anybody in Detroit. P.S. Make sure you get some kool-aid too!

Spud Headz is a great comfort food spot that serves large portions. Definitely seems like it's more than one potato that makes each dish as two meals can be had from one dish for the average-sized person. I usually order over the phone and pick up. Only downside, is that they are a cash only restaurant and extra sauces come with a fee as well.

I just ordered my food today at 11:30am, it was delivered from 6 mile and asbury park to 10 mile and southfield by 12:30pm! I was amazed at how fast it came and the order was perfect and the food was excellent! They continue to impress me every single time! Great service!!!

I went here and ordered the chicken Alfredo potatoe and I'm pretty sure they putt gravy on it instead of Alfredo. If they did, then okay it was an accident. But if not, they're Alfredo sauce is gross. It was thicker and didn't have a taste fr. No garlic, butter, nothing just a thick white cream sauce. The food definitely looks better than it tastes.

biggest potato i have ever had in my life! seriously the size of your head. the chicken, bacon, ranch potato is really good and perfect for a cold day when you're craving carbs. I have pretty much liked all the potatoes i have tried. Just avoid any with the gravy, its super salty. I love salt and I had to stop eating the chicken pot pie potato. this hasn't stopped me from going and ordering other potatoes however. anywhere that puts a fried pork chop on a potato is good in my book. love, juston

This is late. I tried Spud headz for the 1st time last weekend. I have to say I didn't enjoy it at all. I got the shrimp alfredo potato. It really lacked flavor and sauce. I also got to bacon cheeseburger fries. The fries were cooked too long and had a burned flavor. My children wouldn't even eat them. I am giving them 2 stars because the staff was friendly.

Good food, well prepared! The taste you get with your eyes only gets better when the food gets into your mouth! Everybody should check out this jewel of an eatery! My one complaint is they are not open on Sunday!

I should have taken a picture... I picked the Chicken Bacon Ranch potato & added mushrooms. For just about $10 I was given a box of food that weighed about 5lbs (or so it seemed). I am currently on the verge of going into the happiest food coma I've had since last Thanksgiving & I only ate half!! Can't wait to go back & try another variety!!

Heard great things about this place, had to go myself, I got the shrimp alfredo potatoe...it was beyond what I expected, I will be going back to try some other dish of the many they have!!!

Love this place!!!! Food is delicious and they give you a big portion for about $9.00. Everything I have gotten from here has been excellent!!!

Finally, I can give this place 5 stars because this time they actually had pulled pork for the 4th Of July Potato that I ordered! This item plus others that include BBQ pork must be hot sellers! As always, the shrimp Alfredo potato is my wife's favorite! Looks like we both will have leftovers to take to work for lunch tomorrow!
