Wonderful restaurant!! Excellent service. Had the best Goat Cheese and Beet Salad ever! Great prices. Lunch specials are awesome.

Google
Friendly staff, brought the food quickly, it was piping hot, gooey, and very good. The lasagna was better than the lobster ravioli. They sat us quickly without a reservation on a Sunday at 6pm. There’s some nice outdoor seating.

Lovely place for a date or alone. Came on a Monday for their incredible 50% off most food special. Just 2 entrees and we couldn't finish the pizza. Very fresh and tasty. The olive tapenade for the bread is really good. Nice service even though it's busy. I'll be back.

Google
Our local Italian, we come pretty much every Monday for the incredible food - both the pizza and pasta is incredible. The broccoli rabe is a go-to for us. The staff are always so friendly and attentive, I can't recommend this place enough!

Unfortunately ordered take out. Firstly, the host told me it would be a 20 minute wait (I waited over 40 mins) I asked for a gluten free pizza (she repeated the order mentioning gluten free). I went around a few blocks to kill time and ended up waiting an extra 20 mins. I was standing then decided to sit at the empty patio up front, a party of three wanted to sit outside and she told me I needed to move…I look around and see 3 other tables she could move to accommodate the party and the other party mentions they’d prefer to sit on the opposite side of the patio from me anyway. After waiting double the time I get my food, walk home eat my “gluten free pizza” only to have a severe stomach reaction 5 minutes into dinner due to her negligence on making sure my order was right. I even tipped her. This is completely unacceptable and I was referred to this restaurant by a friend who’s famous film director who raved about their service, and outstanding food. Well I don’t know who to blame him or this unintelligent incompetent host.

Google
Spumoni is as solid as it gets. Great location with plenty of parking and seating, warm atmosphere, super cool staff, and the best Italian food around. I love their pizza and pasta dishes, I crave it even! It's that good there. The waiters treat you like family, and it's a cozy place to be. Beer and fine wine, salads and dessert. Everything is good here. Owner Nando does a fine job. A +)

Sep 24th, 2022 Truck stop quality food ! My first and definitely the last one here. I ordered their Halibut (potato and veggies on a side). The fish tasted like a cardboard, completely dry and tasteless. The side potato was the same. I have no idea how they did manage to get so many excited reviews. I decided to order a pizza cause had not enjoyed the halibut. And that was a big mistake. The pizza was even worse than you may have at a truck stop. I could not eat more than 2 slices and it was so bad that I did not take it to go and just left behind. $54 down the drain. The location and the atmosphere are fine. The service was OK.

Google
As a starter you get a basket of steaming hot bread with dip. They have a decent menu selection. I had steak frites and it was really good. The price wasn’t to bad. One thing I think they can work on is checking the tables for need of water or other items, other then that it’s a must try if your in the area.

Yelp
We came here on a Monday night due to Monday madness where your whole bill is 50% - what a deal! We got the chopped salad to start which was delicious. We split the mushroom pasta and the chicken limone. The mushroom pasta was very heavy and too salty. The chicken was fresh with a good sauce and vegetables. Overall, good deal on Monday but would not recommend the full price of the meal.

Yelp
Spinach salad very delicious BUT Eggplant Parmesan was not cooked enough. I could hardly cut it with a knife. I took it home and tried to cook it till it was soft enough to eat but still too hard. Pizza was good and so was the chicken Parmesan. Do your self a favor and do not order Eggplant

Yelp
Came here after Montana Nail! Was able to order bruschetta off menu & they gave me 2 mozza sticks for some reason. Lol I also got their salmon bowtie pasta which is not often on menus so was glad to find it. Loved the outdoor seating, free parking in back, heat lamps, and customer service. They also have special discounts on Monday, Wed, and for happy hour.

Yelp
I am so happy they're still here and open after all these years! What a wonderful experience from the moment we found plenty of parking in the back to be seated immediately on an Easter Sunday. We dined early and were pleasantly surprised at such a wonderful ambiance. The food was amazing! The calamari was piping hot and the sauce delicious. Two generous pasta entrees, and a huge portion of calamari came to $70 which I felt was very reasonable. We have plenty for lunch tomorrow.

Yelp
Went here for my mother and uncles birthday and had a great time. It was a little busy, but we still received our food in a timely fashion. Food was phenomenal and the staff had wonderful recommendations. There is plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant too. The restaurant was very nice inside and a great place for families to enjoy a nice meal. The pappardelle porcini was out of this world. We ordered the calamari and arancini balls for an appetizer and they were very delicious.

Yelp
Neighborhood Italian eatery with 50% off food on Mondays from 5pm-9pm. They also have happy hour every day. I've been here a few times and really enjoyed the handmade pastas. The funghi pasta is very creamy with al dente pasta. The chicken and mushroom pasta is also a good choice if you want a lighter meal. They provide complimentary bread which comes freshly baked in addition to an olive oil/tapenade. The place can get quite busy but service is always nice. Indoor and outdoor heated seating is available. Credit cards accepted. Metered street parking. Overall, a cute spot for a casual date night or catch up.

Yelp
Why come here? They have a 50% off happy hour Monday-Thursday from 5-6pm! Call ahead though to confirm as it does seem like they change their happy hour days and times on a moment's notice. We actually came on Friday for the happy hour but they had just changed their policy, welp! The indoor seating will typically be bustling while there are two spots to sit outside either in a covered patio or right on the sidewalk. Both have heaters so you'll stay warm. Friendly staff and good spot if you're looking for a happy hour and want to try a local restaurant!

Yelp
They used to have 50% off their menu on Mondays but now it's everyday on weekdays from 430-6!!! Due to this amazing deal, it gets really packed during this time period. The deal cannot be beat in this area. However, the food taste is ok only. Nothing out of this world and nothing worth craving for. The cioppino is pretty decent. If you order during the discounted menu, you must eat more than half before taking the rest home. So you can't technically order the whole menu and take it all to go to benefit from the amazing price, but you can come back the day after again and again! At the full price, there are better Italian options elsewhere, but definitely a great spot for early dinners at the discounted rates. My most fav item at this place was actually the olive tapenade with their house bread. Would come here just for that!

Yelp
Yet another restaurant that treats its vegan customers like persona non grata. DON'T COME HERE unless you like to be humiliated for being vegan! If you or anyone in your group follows a vegan diet, forget about the Happy Hour menu, as they'll quickly clarify that any modifications of sauce or pasta has an extra charge, to which I say, never coming here ever again!!! Anyone unwelcoming vegans that way gets its well-deserved single star from me. :-)

Yelp
Great spot on Montana. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining. The food is tasty and the price is very reasonable for this area. If you visit during M-F, most items are 50% from 4:30-6pm. I believe corkage is $10. Complimentary Olive Tapenade with Olive Oil - 5/5 My entire family hates olives but we really enjoy the tapenade here! House wine - 5/5 Great pour and tasty. Garlic Bread - 3/5 Nothing special. Calzone - 5/5 My kid loves this. It's huge and loaded with mozzarella. Our server was nice to provide an extra side of marinara sauce at extra no charge. Salmon Pasta - 4/5 This is a solid dish that we always order when we dine here. It's a bit greasy but still good and they don't skimp on salmon. Pollo Saltimbocca - 3/5 This is a good, albeit salty, entrée that we've ordered several times before. However, the chicken was overcooked this time around. Potatoes and vegetables were great.

Yelp
When the service is bad, it doesn't much matter what the food is like. I wanted to like this restaurant--cute, close to where my daughter lives--but getting the most basic things like wine and dessert were a chore. We had lasagna, Branzino, chicken with prosciutto, the carbonara and the Italian salad, which were all very good except the carbonara, which outside of the pancetta lacked flavor. We wrapped it up with the Torta Dela Nona, the chocolate cakes and some great cappuccinos. Had the service been better, it would have been a 4.25 or 4.5 meal, but service counts.

Angela S.

Yelp
Where to start... the waiter walked in from outside full on zipping his pants up so I'm pretty sure there was no hand washing. People bring their loud obnoxious ass kids in there and try to "gentle parent" them from climbing all over. The food is mid and the bill is high. The tables are so close to each other they should advertise as forced family style. I've been coming here for 15 years and tonight was the last time. I knew it was the last time as I was sitting there thinking "I can't wait to never come back here"

Yelp
Late night dinner at this spot. Had been driving by and never visited so I thought I would try it as I was solo. Fausto served me. Good sense of humor and let me try a few wines. Great service. A few waiters around attentive and just there without overpowering you. Comfortable atmosphere. Liked that. Sat inside in a hot day.... Tapenade and bread. Nice start. A little loaf in a napkin with the heavily coarse tapenade with olive oil. Very nice. Too nice. I ordered a white wine it was ok. The SB was ok. Not overly flavorful. The barbera was better...Chiarlo makes great wine. Starter was the beet and goat cheese salad. Large size. Lots of beets and many many olives for a terrific flavor. Salt in the olives balanced the taste and drew out more flavor. Solid dressing. Heavy on arugula and greens which I loved. The side pasta was excellent. A side of spaghetti cooked perfectly Al dente. Bed of Arabiata sauce. Thanks Fausto. Delicious. Firm pasta with a zesty sauce. Great experience. I recommend this place!!!

Yelp
The Italian food here is superb! Fresh salads and delicious pasta. Good parking in the lot behind the restaurant

Ashley H.

Yelp
I went to the restaurant in person and ordered the Pappardelle Porcini and couldn't eat it all so I took most of it to go. However, I heated it up for lunch the next day and took a few bites and felt something hard.... I took it out of my mouth and it was a straight up ROCK. A rock... in my FOOD!!!!! I could have easily chipped a tooth.

Yelp
Bland food, rude staff members and overpriced dishes. A few months ago on a Thursday I ordered a salad and it was so simple and plain that it didn't justify the price tag. I asked for them to increase the number of olives and maybe add a few cucumber pieces. They charged me an arm and a led for that. Their Monday special where things are half off is OK but comes with major attitude. I have come here on different days of the week but last visit was on a Monday so I ordered two dishes off the 50%off menu and was not able to eat the second dish. At first they refused to box it for me unless I paid full price. No where on their menu does it state u have to eat a slice of pizza in order to get the discount. It is mainly one rude waiter who has a napoleon complex that seems to be ruining the experience over and over again. My friends like the place so I'll be back but only hesitantly.

Martí N.

Yelp
Amazing Italian restaurant with a 50% off deal on Mondays. I love the pappardelle porcini since they give you a lot of high quality mushrooms. My girlfriend ordered the Amaratriciana that was great too! There might be a wait for a table, so try to get there early on Mondays. Street parking available. Credit card accepted. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
It amazes me how creative they are in screwing up a take-out order. Last time I was there I ordered an entrée that comes with veggies and roasted potatoes. I asked that the veggies be steamed so they gave me all steamed veggies; no potatoes. Tonight I ordered gnocchi Sortentino, which is a tomato sauce with melted cheese. I asked them to make it with meat sauce instead of tomatoes; I got gnocchi with meat sauce, no melted cheese. These are just the most recent; I'd say they do this 75% of the time. So why do we continue to go there? It's close to us, the food is decent, even when they screw it up, and we like the menu selections. Also Fausto, Gloria, Steve, and the rest of the crew are really nice, and that means a lot. Plus, they really are creative.

Yelp
A friend invited me to lunch. She suggested Spumoni. As I always do with someplace I haven't been before, I looked at the reviews on Yelp. Spumoni looked good, so we had lunch at Spumoni today. When I looked at the menu online before we went there I saw Penne Arrabbiata. I like Penne Arrabbiata so that's what I had. It was very good. My friend and her other friend both had the Matteo Salad. They both said it was very good. Had the option to add meat to the Penne Arrabbiata which I didn't do. Also didn't have any of the optional cheese on my Penne Arrabbiata. My friend said she comes to Spumoni fairly often, even though she has to drive back to Malibu in the afternoon traffic. Spumoni is so good people don't mind getting stuck in traffic to eat there. We had a good time at Spumoni but the two old ladies (they looked even older than us and we are 75) at a nearby table had a bottle of Champagne to go with their lunch and they were having a better time than we were.

Christopher T.

Yelp
Pizza was poor, dry, and tasteless. Calamari and pizza were delivered late and cold. Salad was so disappointing.

Robin L.

Yelp
Love this place. I had gone there pretty often awhile back, when I lived in the area. I'm so happy they are still there and doing well. The food is amazing and the menu has so many options. They are all so reasonably priced. We took someone out for lunch there and were shocked at how inexpensive it was. Two of us had the seafood salad, big and delish. My friend had the sausage and broccolini pasta, great. The bread is award winning. I'm going to make the trek and go back soon. Also, Happy Hour is 50% off M-F from 5pm to maybe 6? You have to look it up.

Yelp
My brother and I had the same pasta Agli Olio there on June 10 at their half-off Monday special. We both had diarrhea the entire next day. I did think it tasted slightly off at the time, but not enough to worry. We have not returned since.
google avatar

Allison H.

Yelp
First time here and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Everyone working here was attentive and just on it. I ordered the chopped salad and it was really fresh and a pretty generous portion. It was happy hour and all of the food was 50% off, amazing. With its location being at the heart of Montana, ghetto environment in this place is the perfect blend of upscale but comfortable. Doesn't feel stuffy! Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
Wasn't bad for an Italian restaurant. Location is great, right on Montana. There's plenty of street parking, metered as well as parking in the residential area. Check sighs to be cautious as well as parking in the lot. A few of us got together and caught up during lunch. Service was good starting off but it got kind of got slow during lunch. It did seem short staff for the lunch rush. Also, it took a while to actually order a starter as there was maybe two waiters. But beside that, we did enjoy our time here. The staters was good, as well as portions. Didn't take long to come out. Also, they do have a wide array of wine from the list. Food, every dish we food was great. The flavors were good, plentiful for sharing. Pasta was great. Finished off the meal with a couple of desserts which was great as well. Overall, food was good. Service was slow during the lunch hour but did notice a lot more of staff come towards the dinner hour.

Kevin J.

Yelp
SEE MY OTHER REVIEWS. I Called a few minutes ago and their phone didnt work. 7pm sunday.

Yelp
Can't beat the happy hour here! It is one of the best in town. You will just need to be patient with the wait as it does get busy.
google avatar

Cameron H.

Yelp
Food is decent and it's in a nice neighborhood with good indoor/outdoor seating. I'll give it the 4th * because of their weekly Monday special of 50% off food items on the menu
google avatar

Suneeta I.

Yelp
Great deal such as 50 % off on Mondays!! Food is yummy too. I would definitely come back!! :)

Jeremy Z.

Yelp
Came tonight for MM and the chicken in the Mateo Salad had streaks of pink. I've had this salad at least 20 times and it had never been like that. I sent the chicken back and they brought a new one that was STILL PINK. I really think I would've gotten food poisoning if I had eaten EITHER chicken. I have dined at Spumoni a lot and I'm not sure if it is a new salad chef but I'm pretty disappointed in my experience there tonight.

Yelp
Me and my friends were walking by and decided to stop in and get some lunch . We were seated right away and asked about our drink orders and water immediately. We ordered and it didn't take long to actually get our food . The food was good . I had chicken catatorri which was delicious it was a large portion so I brought some home . The bread was warm and delicious. My friend ate pasta primavera with veggies and it was amazing . We had coffee with desert afterwards and I was not disappointed!!! Everything was delicious and satisfying. The staff was great and the place was clean . I will definitely be back !!! I think on a Saturday or Sunday night a reservation is recommended.

Yelp
We love Spumoni. We are super fans of the Happy Hour, it is an incredible dinner for the right price. It has become my go to spot for taking my 2 teenagers to dinner. The staff is always kind and attentive. The food is on point and the environment is beautiful. The place is bustling, the staff is super efficient and the place is clean. What more can you ask for? My kids and I love this place. Bravo, Spumoni.

Jorge G.

Yelp
I honestly don't like to give bad reviews but spunomi food was very microwave quality and scenery was cafeteria inside an office building from 1980's. See I get it...,,,,,,,,if a place you go and spend above and beyond but at the minimum you have generally a pleasant atmosphere. The place is dated and wine selection is Olive Garden. Service waiter was very nice and helpful to be fair. So we had 2 cheap wines, pasta and salad that 2 people shared and bill was $90 bucks. I feel it's too much. I would only recommend their pizza going forward and take it to go.

Yelp
What an amazing Italian restaurant located in Montana! Let's start off with the complimentary bread and olive dip its by far the yummiest "bread and butter" I have ever had everything is always so fresh and so flavorful but my favorite thing about this place is the speed everything comes out so fast it's amazing! I LOVE the Caesar salad with chicken it's so so good honestly you can't order anything wrong here. I like to try different entrees every-time I come here and tonight I decided to order the homemade Pappardelle Porcini which was sooo good! I love a good mushroom cream sauce and the size of the noodle was just perfection. I can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu! Highly recommended good italian restaurant!
google avatar

Bevan C.

Yelp
One of my go to Italian Places around Santa Monica! Each dish is always consistent and online orders are always on-time. I usually order a Farfalle alla Barese, which is penne pasta with garlic oil, mild pork sausage, broccoli, and sun dried tomatoes. This pasta has a simple garlic flavor and was comforting. They give a decent amount of tasty sausage, broccoli, and pickled tomatoes, which all blended well with the olive oil pasta. I sometimes also order a Gluten Free Pizza with no cheese, Prosciutto, and Basil. Their crust is so delicious! It has a nice crunch and a good amount of thickness, tasting almost identical to regular pizzas dough. The prosciutto gives the pizza a good saltiness and the basil makes the pizza more earthy! I hope they sell vegan cheese for people who can't handle dairy. A solid choice for Italian food if you're in the area :) 10/10

Hermine K.

Yelp
Too pricey for pasta and cheap wine. The Caesar salad was grocery bag quality and highly overpriced. The ambiance isn't so great either to even justify paying such high price for basic food. Very disappointed and frustrated when left the place.

K K.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service and fun location. A little small and pricey but overall a delightful experience.

Jeff P.

Yelp
While trying to make a reservation I was pushed out of the restaurant by the hostess after waiting a half hour and told not to come back
google avatar

Silver D.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Will highly recommend for a decent Italian restaurant with great tasting pizza, salad and pastas.

henry z.

Yelp
Great food and service. Consistently good. Great lunch specials, and entrees only half price on Mondays!
google avatar

Erin S.

Yelp
Food is good some dishes are great. Recently they get fresh fish (not frozen) always ask because the other fishes are frozen. Service is excellent! Steve knows how to take care of guests. The atmosphere is fun, love sitting at the bar always entertaining
google avatar

Abby Z.

Yelp
Spumoni has been our neighborhood spot for years and years. So so happy they've been able to keep open with delicious food and great service. They're olive tapenade and bread is so fresh and every dish is delicious. Love this spot

Hillary S.

Yelp
Amazing every time. Been going since 2016. Great staff. I'll drive across town to get it!

Diane C.

Yelp
On Monday there are is 50% off the food. Alcohol and dessert not included. With that said I ordered a plate of pasta with sauce $19. The portion was equivalent to a child portion. I realize I am getting 50% but total rip off. Plus most of the waiters are rude. I know it is very busy but the service not very friendly "At All". Not going back on Monday that is for sure.
google avatar

Mean Mama S.

Yelp
Used to have a very delicious Calzone but it's no more. The service was good and the food was a bit off, will visit again and make sure to order lasagna.

B M.

Yelp
I'm really confused by a lot of the reviews on Montana. Some places with mediocre food have great reviews, and others with great food have lower reviews. Regardless, I wish we had checked out Spumoni sooner. We had the Quattro Formaggi pizza and the Mezza Luna Pollo E Funghi pasta with brown sage sauce. Both were great, and the service was pretty quick and easy. They're currently doing 50% off from 4:30-6pm on weekdays, which is a big draw (full price is worth it too, so it just depends when you'd like to dine). We will happily visit again soon. Thanks!
google avatar

Roger C.

Yelp
Food was ok, but the 1/2 price thing is a bit misleading. The sign outside says "1/2 price from 4:30 to 6pm weekdays." But it doesnt say if that is dining in only or also take-out. I ordered takeout and they charged full price. I told them about the sign but they wouldn't budge. They gave me a sh_tty attitude and didnt even say "sorry about the confusion" or anything like that. They really need a lesson in dealing with customers.
google avatar

Gid K.

Yelp
Food 4 stars. Service (late afternoon) 3 stars or less. Service has been slipping a bit, at least outside. Maybe it's the increase in costs, but we had to get our waiter several times. The coffee is Americano, with 1 refill, but some servers said no refills. The food is still very good. The starter bread with olive tapenade has gotten better. The fried calamari is still tender. Linguine Pescatore was delicious with lots of seafood. As usual, Spaghetti Bolognese was great -- MUST add 2 meatballs for $2! The Arugula Salad w chicken was very good. Minestrone soup had a lot of potato & was just ok, but not worth $8. The spumoni ice cream is great, but it's the 2nd time they didn't have the spumoni bomba/tartufo. Also, they have restrooms downstairs now, so more accessible to elderly and handicap, which is a big plus for this restaurant.
google avatar

Nikki P.

Yelp
Very poor service. Food was meh. Extremely over priced for the amount and quality of food. I started with a Cobb salad ($16 and it was small) normally at other restaurants a Cobb comes with ranch dressing, but mine came with Italian. Now if you want a creamy dressing then you pay extra. No thanks. For my main dish I got spaghetti ($23) and meatballs (extra charge $2) when I got my dinner there was only one small meatball which was not cool since I paid for meatballs. Once receiving the bill I noticed that I was charged not $2, but $3 for the one small meatball. Really?! All and all such a disappointment because I use to be a regular at this place for years before new ownership and their remodel not to mention this was my first time back in about a decade and all I can say is that it was a total let down. Byeeeeee.
