What a great find! Complimentary warm bread with olive oil starter. Very generous Italian salad. FABULOUS linguine with fresh clams. Very good fish special. And the Spumoni and pistachio cake were exceptional. Can't wait to go back. Service was great.

Part of your experience here will depend on what night of the week you go. Mondays are hectic as they have their half off entrées going on from opening (5pm) to close (9pm). If you are there in the first 90 minutes, you are going to wait for service and food. We didn't receive the pre-dinner bread and pesto sauce until after we finished our entrées, more than an hour after we sat down. Now, the good thing about Mondays is the discount. Only good for items order for dine-in but you can order extra entrées and take your leftovers home. Worked for us. Other days of the week are not as hectic and service is better. Generous portions, good tasting food and cozy environment. Bring your patience and...enjoy!

Homemade pasta! Excellent sauces and generous portions! Small local restaurant, the decor is pretty, little touches of elegance, along with beautiful woodwork within the restaurant make it feel above average. Seating, however, was a bit cramped. Felt like I was sharing a table with the two separate families on either side of us, this was a bit awkward for me with no separation between the tables other than the small space to get into your seat. Our server was not overly friendly, but very efficient and professional. She definitely knew the menu and was helpful in choosing between two dishes for me :-) The place was very clean, and the time of day we went was perfect, just before the dinner rush! This seems to be a local staple that we somehow just never came across! Definitely not fast food, and if you're used to something like Olive garden this is going to feel like top notch! The gnocchi was absolutely wonderful with pesto sauce! I definitely recommend the food, but in the future we will be ordering takeout for a more private dining experience.

I shouldn't even write this review... too many people will discover this gem and overrun it! Starting with the food, every time I've eaten here, the quality and consistency have been superb. I hate it when I eat somewhere once, have a great meal, but when I go back it's like a different restaurant. Not at this place! The quality, the presentation and portions have been amazing every time. The salmon salad pictured is the best In SoCal. The fresh gnocchi cannot be beat. Next, the service... the staff is well trained, attentive and timely. I have never had to flag someone down to place an order, get more bread, a drink or the check. One of the reasons for that is amazing , hard working managers, like Tony! Anytime you see a manager on the floor working as hard to support the wait staff, I know it'll be a good service experience. Lastly, cost vs value, Spumoni can hardly be beat. Portion size is definitely 2 meals worth and with every penny they charge. Which is why I'm not going to mention their happy hour deal...4:30-6pm daily... which is almost absurd. You'll have to go find out for yourself!

We were intending to go to an Irish pub because it was St Patrick’s Day. We failed to find an Irish pub that we liked so we went on looking for other places. Spumoni just happened to be on our view so we decided to turn right towards the parking and promptly got inside the Trattoria. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is. The only slight drawback is that it is located at the corner of two busy streets, thus the noise outside. Food is the biggest discovery. It was wonderful. Ambiance, they made the most of what they could given the location. It may seem to fall short but I still give them 5 stars for the effort of trying what they could. Oh, they have an in-house performer. That added much to help keep this place authentic and unique.

Walked in for the first time with my wife to grab a drink at the bar. A very nice gentleman was trying to get the attention of the bartender to let her know that his kid has a nut allergy and needed to get nuts on the side. She looked frustrated and said that the waiter was "busy." The restaurant was empty at 4:30PM. Can't imagine the service when the place actually has customers. Just walked out after that encounter, so can't say much about their food.

Google
My friends who live in San Diego came here the first time and they all agreed that this is very cute restaurant and location. The foods are exellent and big vollumm. The staffs are very nice. We surelly come back.

Google
Immediately scored high on the ambience meter with live jazz music playing. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. Our food was served quickly. Excellent in-house made pastas and gnocchis. Delicious flavors and seasoned to perfection. Our New York style pizza was also very good. I find Italian places in the US are so hit and miss, but Spumoni’s did not disappoint. Will eat here again on our next trip to Redondo Beach.

Yelp
Opens at 5pm on Monday and, if you get there before 5, expect to see a line out the door. 50% off menu entrées for dine in only on Mondays. Zero substitutions or changes to the menu items. Appetizers and drinks full price. There were a dozen parties in front of us. We were seated in about 5 minutes, but took another 20 minutes before they took our order. Generous portions, full bar, worth a try. Enjoy!

Yelp
Last night in town. Monday night special 50% OFF dinner menu items. Excludes liquor, dessert, and they do have certain specs that must be followed. Only fair to all other customers, and the amazing staff that their specs on 50% OFF Mondays be followed. Be prepared to wait, as they do not take reservations, and your entire party must be present in the restaurant before you are seated. We arrived 7:45 PM probably waited 30 minutes party of three. Tony was our waiter and we just loved him. They are very lucky to have such a wonderful team. We all ordered something different so it was nice to try three different dishes and each one was better than the next. Small quaint bar area, two dining rooms. Frank Sinatra vibe. Bottle of wine, and three dinners right at $80 dollars!! YELP Austin Elite All Star Approved.

Yelp
We've been loyal customers of Spumoni for years - love the food, the Monday night 50% off, and especially Tony, who's always welcoming. Unfortunately, tonight's experience with the manager, Monica, was unacceptable. One of our party was parking when we arrived. Monica refused to seat us until all six were physically inside, even though we were first in line and explained the situation. When we were finally seated (as a group of five), our sixth arrived moments later, but Monica refused to let her join us -- even though there was room - and told us we'd lose the discount if she stayed. Her tone was rude and inflexible, and it felt more like we were being punished than served. Tony apologized and did his best to smooth things over, but Monica's attitude made us -- and especially our guest who had never been there before - feel completely unwelcome. Sadly, we won't be return.

Yelp
I had a few of my cousins over for a game and pizza night. I ordered a large sausage and mushroom pizza and a medium pepperoni pizza, but well done. Called in my order for pick up. Had to wait a few minutes, cool. The pizza was straight from the oven pipping hot. Spumoni's pizza is the best around town. Definitely my go to pizza.

Melissa A.

Yelp
Loved this place. Great food and the bar was amazing. The bartender couldn't have been any more welcoming and fun. We will be back!

Yelp
This WAS one of our favorite 'go to' neighborhood restaurants for delivery or their 50% off Monday special, but tonight's experience was just way OFF. Instead of our normal nice waiter (I think his name is Tony), the girl/hostess who is always at the front took our order and she wasn't only unfriendly and cold, but downright RUDE. My teenage son ordered two dishes from their 50% off special, and she made it very clear if he didn't eat at least half of a plate we would be charged extra. We also didn't get our bread so when I asked for some she again rudely said we would have to wait until our food comes as that's when they bring it. It's like she never served a hungry teenage boy or family. She literally looked and treated us like we were a group of teens taking advantage of the 50% off night or a party who was going to skip paying, and mind you we came as a family with my son and grandma too! If it were not for her unacceptable attitude and behavior, over ordering two dishes for my son only, this restaurant would still be in our rotation. It's officially out.

Yelp
I'm really lucky to have quite a few Italian restaurants to choose from and Spumoni offers up some unique dishes to choose from. Last time, I ordered the Cavatelli Broccoli Rabe which features italian sausage and homemade pasta. I do recommend trying one of the homemade pasta dishes - they are delicious. Of note is a few specials. First is the half off special on Mondays which gets a little crazy because people line up at the entrance before they open to get a table. It's a great deal, especially if you like to eat early. The other major special is their happy hour food and drink menu which is pretty good deal. I have three mild complaints. First, I've had dinner here enough that the Frank Sinatra music they constantly play is getting to be a bit maddening. I can't imagine working there. Second is that the pasta dishes are drenched in olive oil. It's really way too much. Third, the complementary bread rolls are served with olive oil with way too many crushed olives, rather than the more typical olive oil and vinegar at other Italian restaurant. The folks that come here tend to be mostly in their late 60s and up. If you're looking for a younger crowd, you may want to try a different place.

Yelp
It's definitely one of the. better Italian restaurants in the neighbourhood. The restaurant is nice, warm and welcoming and just a tad classy to make it a great place for date night. After having eaten in Italy, its hard to like the american version of Italian cuisine - which always tends to lean hard on the greasier, cheesier side. Spumoni is no different, though I will say their menu is refreshingly unique and I liked the food enough to go back and try a few more things.

Chanel N.

Yelp
I frequent this place. I went here to have dinner. It was busy in the main area such that there were only tables of 4 seating arrangements. So the lady seating people said I could sit at one of the tables for 2 near the entrance. I decided I'd sit at the bar. The female bartender then told me I couldn't sit there, that there was a 2 drink minimum. Had she let me get situated I probably would have ordered something to drink but she immediately displaced me saying I couldn't sit there. It felt very inappropriate to say the least. There were 2 guys sitting there at the bar and there were 4 vacant seats. She was focused on happy hour, which was her excuse for moving me, but no one was there for happy hour for her to tell me to move. Perhaps she was too stuck on taking selfies and alcohol shots while on the job and flirting with the men at the counter?. But I thought how she told me to move was in bad taste. Uncalled for. It felt discriminatory. I saw a man sit at the bar that didn't order alcohol but a glass of water. She didn't ask him to move or say anything about a 2 drink minimum. Had I not been so tired I would have left but I was hungry and hadn't eaten all day.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Hermosa. Though not so hidden to those of us in the know. Now, to be completely honest, I was in the know as to where this place is, but not so to what was served inside. That knowledge didn't come into being until recently when we were fortunate enough to wedge ourselves through their doors. No, the wedging didn't come into play because we're portly, not that there's anything wrong with wearing larger sizes. It was because it's sometimes difficult to get into the packed house! Make a reservation, or do what we did, be the first ones in the door when they open. The food at Spumoni is splendid. Extremely good, and there's a lot on the menu to choose from. I got the special, pasta with slices of filet mignon in a bolognese sauce. Ooohh was that ever a pile of wonderous indulgence. It was on the pricey side, but well worth it. While enjoying your entee you'll be serenaded by an elderly gentleman who will draw you into a sense of romance. But not so much as to be annoying. Your conversation will be intact. So you can go on to discuss the important things in life like if the Dodgers are going to repeat or the price of tea in China. When the moon hits your eye, that's Spumoni. Quick Tip: Visit Spumoni on a Monday between 5pm and 6pm. Entrees are 50% off! You can get full for half !!

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday night in the summer and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The ambiance was beautiful, like walking into an Italian city restaurant. My daughter, her friend and I are all gluten free and we had a lot of options, which doesn't always happen at an Italian restaurant. She had gluten free pasta with a delicious sauce. Her friend had a gluten free pizza. I had shrimp with a white wine sauce (YUM!!!) potatoes and vegetables. We had good service as well. We left very happy with the food and experience!

Yelp
Loved the spinach salad lots of bacon and spinach so fresh. Dressing was very tasty

Yelp
What a wonderful surprise. While vacationing nearby and looking for a nearby Italian restaurant we took a chance and had an early dinner at Spumoni. It was happy hour so drinks and apps were discounted. The caprese was delicious especially when we added a little bit of the tepenade that was intended for the bread. The eggplant parm was fabulous and it came with crispy oven roasted potatoes and beautiful veggies cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was superb. Huge portions. Loved the fact that tables were close as we found ourselves chatting with couples on our left and right, both of whom were regulars. Couldn't pass up the spumoni which was covered in a hard chocolate shell. Service was great. Servers were very friendly. The highlight was a gentleman who may have been in his late 70's or 80's who was a great crooner. He sang classic tunes by Cole Porter, Sinatra, Dean Martin and many more. He was amazing. I love the songs from that period and couldn't help myself to sing along with him. Pure entertainment. His name is Johnny Recine and apparently he is something of an institution at Spumoni. He may only be there on Friday nights but if you decide to go for dinner call first and ask when Johnny will be singing. It's wonderful to go to a neighborhood restaurant expecting an OK meal and leaving with leftovers and raving about how much we enjoyed this place.

Yelp
First time dining at Spumoni. Inside is super cute. It was a bit slow, but it was a Tuesday night. Our server, Alfredo, was very nice. We ate the spinach salad & chicken fettuccine Alfredo. My niece & I loved it. We will definitely be back.

Genevieve G.

Yelp
Came for dinner because they have a good deal. It was busier inside than we expected, but we didn't have to wait too long for anything. We got the calamari and two kinds of ravioli, and everything was pretty good. Parking is easy in the large free lot.

Yelp
Great service, reasonable prices, wait staff listens very well, delicious food. Plenty of gluten free options too, or choices for picky eaters.

Breton L.

Yelp
Food fantastic.....many pastas to choose from and all delicious. Full bar. Very popular. Salads great. Bread great. Hidden gem right around the corner. Half price night is a great deal, but no reservations so you have to wait. Best deal in town.

Yelp
Came here for the first time. I'm always driving by and finally I said let's go. I love the bread they serve at the table. We ordered the Della casa pizza sooo good Angel hair pasta w tomatoes and i asked for chicken to be added but i didn't care for the chicken the pasta alone was better. Gnocchi w pesto very creamy and delicious. Garlic bread was ok i prefer the one at the table. Everyone who worked here was so nice. Our waiter was great. Had a nice dinner here I can't wait to come back and order different things on the menu and try to fit in some dessert

Yelp
My fave local Italian spot in North Redondo!! Quality food and a variety of amazing pastas. Staff is always hospitable and attentive to our dining needs. If you are in the area, check this place out.
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazingly nice staff, good local spot, the place gives little Italy vibes. 10/10 would come back again.

Christy R.

Yelp
I went for the 50% off on Monday as I've done many many times before. However, when we were getting the check, the main hostess at the front came over and very impolitely told me that I needed to pay full price for one of my entrees because "it is considered 'takeaway" if I didn't "eat at least half of my food there." Clearly this was news to me, so I asked where it that was written and I was told "your server should have told you." Clearly the server didn't tell me this and it's not written on the list of rules outside. Be aware of these surprise "rules" if you decide to dine here.
google avatar

JJ F.

Yelp
First time here with a local friend's recommendation. Homemade pasta is a big plus. I had the Cavatelli Broccoli Rabe. Chili flakes added the perfect kick. 1st pic as served, 2nd shows plenty of mild Italian sausage. They really need to have a separate menu for Hermosa since the website is Santa Monica and my first 2 choices were not available (Cobb salad & some pizzas). 3 stars bumped to 4 because Tony was a great server. He commiserated with me about the website menu problem. Ambiance is ok, not really a romantic date place.

Yelp
Good Food News but a VERY DISRESPECTFUL HOSTESS Spumoni has been there for a quite a few years, I have previously been there two times and did not care for the food at all. My neighbor told me last evening about the 50% off on Monday after 5PM and I was willing to try it one more time. I dropped my husband off at the door to sign in and parked my car. He was waiting for me outside when I walked up to the door, he shrugged his shoulders and said he could not sign in unless I was there too. ODD, If you have to wait to be seated what is the big deal about him putting us on the list. So I came in and the "Lovely" hostess put my name down on the list, she said 15-20 minutes. I asked if we could stand in the corner, inside and she said NO you have to wait outside. (It was pretty chilly outside) About 5 minutes waiting, realizing how thirsty I was, I asked for a glass of water. She said "We will give you water when you are seated!" I am very thirsty NOW. NOPE wait till you are seated, in about 5 minutes, we will give it to you then. STUNNED, she was NOT going to accommodate me at all. The bar was about 5 feet away from her and a water pitcher 3 feet, she walked past it at least 4 times after I asked. When we were seated, SHE did not put water on the table, I had to ask the bus boy for it. Meanwhile she is walking around with a "SMERK" (not a nice friendly smile) on her face, holding her head intentionally high and looking straight at me grinning and kept on walking. I asked someone working there "Is she the Bosses daughter?' he said "no but she is the managers sister, who is the bartender" now the attitude made sense to me, she had no fear of loosing her job. Fortunately we had some very nice ladies next to us and had a delightful evening engaging with them and the couple on the other side of us, with a child heard about the hostess also, so now YOU can know too. The food was better than expected, much better than the last two times there. I would really like to speak with the owner of the restaurant. BTW we are Italian and love good Italian Restaurants, we almost turned around and walked out. What a shame to have such a rude Hostess, she is your first line of contact, she should be very courteous and try to make your time in the restaurant pleasant. NOT THIS HOSTESS, no concern what so ever.

Yelp
Outrageous corkage fee!! My wife and I have eaten here several times over the years. We have friends who like to eat here when they visit. Last night we went there to celebrate a birthday as a party of 5 and brought a bottle of wine as we have on many occasions in the past. One person ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the other a soft drink. We all ordered full entrees and desert. Spumoni used to have free corkage for the first bottle of wine and then $10 for each additional bottle. Not anymore!! We were shocked to see a $20 corkage fee for the one bottle of wine!! That is a massive increase from the past (just earlier this year) and just plain greedy. Only fine dining restaurants can justify a $20 corkage fee - not a casual Italian restaurant! Especially given that almost all of the local Italian restaurants have either a no corkage, or at most $10 corkage fee! You have shot yourselves in the foot - you get one chance to be greedy with us. We used to eat there regularly as we just live up the street. However, your greed gave us indigestion. Next time we will be dining elsewhere.

Yelp
This place is great! Very friendly and accommodating service, delicious food with outstanding flavor, and classic Italian ambiance and decore. 50% off all food on Monday nights, what a deal!

Yelp
Title: Disappointing Service Ruined the Experience I had high hopes for Spumoni in Hermosa Beach, but unfortunately, the service completely soured my visit. The bartender"Monica" was shockingly dismissive, neglecting our table and barely acknowledging us. When we did manage to get their attention, their attitude was downright rude, leaving us feeling unwelcome. The negligence wasn't just about slow service--it felt like we were being actively ignored. Instead of creating a warm, inviting atmosphere, the bartender seemed uninterested in providing even the bare minimum of hospitality. It's a shame because I've heard good things about the food, but the experience was overshadowed by the unprofessional and gnarly service. I wouldn't recommend this place unless they address their staff's attitude and focus on treating customers with respect. Monica obviously had friends arriving at the bar... never offered water, menu or any acknowledgment what so ever.. seriously? Ruined our date night! We won't be back!

Doug M.

Yelp
When the fam says Italian food I say Spumoni Great wine selection, amazing pastas and pizzas. Been there a few times and will be plenty more.

Yelp
I really love Spumoni! We come here from time to time for the family. My wife and I used to go to the Santa Monica location years ago when we were dating. Last night (and also last year), we brought our team from our small business that we own to celebrate with a holiday dinner. The ambiance has got a very comfortable feel. The food is always delicious. The prices are reasonable (especially their dine-in on Mondays!). The service can be slow and maybe not all that friendly (maybe a little short-staffed?), but they get the job done. Last night, we had the bonus of being there when they had a singer, a smooth Sinatra-esque crooner providing dining entertainment. Bravo!
google avatar

Vince M.

Yelp
Amazing Fettuccine Alfredo. I loved the live music. My date ordered the spaghetti portafino. We loved every bit of this restaurant. It was not packed. Definitely a great place for a Friday night relaxed date.
google avatar

Allisan A.

Yelp
Love this little gem of a place! The food is always great, I especially love the handmade pastas and gnocchi. They even have live music on Friday nights!
google avatar

Bailey K.

Yelp
Spumoni is one of our favorite go-to's! Love coming here on Mondays for their 50% off dine-in special. They also offer a happy hour which has some good food and drinks deals on it. On the pasta side we have enjoyed the paccheri amatriciana, cacio e pepe, and papardelle porcini. Other great items we've found quite tasty are the arancini, chopped salad, and garlic bread. The service can be hit or miss, but I'm able to see past it because the food is so delicious.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Spumoni's was fire really enjoyed my dinner and the drinks the restaurant has a cool vibe theirs a cool cat singing Frank Sinatra songs % I would come back here ..

Carrie C.

Yelp
Love this place food great and service always excellent. Pizza delish as our the specialty cocktails. This place is also on Montana in Santa Monica and is very popular for its food.
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
Always enjoy the food at Spumoni. We think it is the best in the South Bay. Tony is a fantastic server. The Spumoni at Spumoni is amazing! We also enjoy Friday evenings when there is a guy who sings Italian songs. Great place!
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
We wanted a local date night and after reading recent reviews. We decided to try it out. The food was great, ambience was on point for a home town Italian nice place. Over all this is the type of place I would go regularly and even take visitors from out of town who have done the "tourist sites" and are just here for good food in a great environment. Will be back often!
google avatar

Laurie W.

Yelp
My friend and I made an impromptu decision to drop into Spumoni. We went on a Saturday evening and we were really happy to discover that the restaurant was not too crowded and we got right in. The ambiance was wonderful. It felt very cozy and there was live music. There was a cute older gentleman performing. We each ordered one of the specials for the evening, beef short rib ravioli and the fish dish. Both specials were very delicious. We also enjoyed the calamari appetizer beforehand along with the bread and tapenade. Everything was quite delicious. And the service was exceptional. We will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Oops apparently the miserable waitress is the manager! Very unfortunate because the food there is pretty good and it's too bad she's ruining the customer experience.
google avatar

Sharon P.

Yelp
The hustle is real. And I made sure Monica (manager) knew that we were super pleased with Tony's service tonight. It was busy. From 520pm to about 830pm the place was nonstop with diners and every table in the dining room was full. The team was helping each other run food, serve drinks, remove empties, fill water. Everyone shared work and not once did we want for anything - Tony's service was superb. Equally impressive was the food; freshly made pasta changes your life. So delicious. Sauces delightful, bold flavors, abundant variety. Gnocchi pesto was delicately delicious, pine nuts included. Pacheri Amatriciana, sweet plum tomatoes and pancetta make this dish a must order for the table (the red sauce lovers will get a kick out of this one). Cacio e Pepe is very light...probably too light for my Pecorino-and-pepper loving family. I feel a leftover re-do is in order...easy peasy. Tonight's special Pecorino cheese bowl pasta of shells (homemade of course) mushrooms, peas and black truffle was a rich, taste explosion. This was a hit all night - that cheese bowl cart was rolling around to practically every table because at least one in the party was smart enough to order it. Not inexpensive but if you're a fan of the earthy fungi and piping hot pasta tossed around in an 80lb cheese wheel, this dish is magnificent. Be careful though, sharing is practically mandatory because one whiff of the creamy garlicky sauce will bring all your dinner guests to the yard: no milkshake necessary. Terrific wine options, affordable too - you won't have to call your broker to sell stock shares. I love that because these days prices can be kooky steep. And hey, if you dine on Monday evenings, take advantage of the 50% off deal. Friday and Saturday you'll be entertained by a Sinatra-like singer. Decent, but at times I felt the sound was a bit too loud causing us to almost yell to hear each other around the table. But hey, what's not to love about all this? I'll answer for you: absolutely nothing. Spumoni is a nifty spot with tasty food and equally terrific service - obviously it's popular because it was packed. The team was working their you-know-whats off tonight...and they nailed it. Cin-cin!

Yelp
Like your food a great deal. 2nd time with this server. He needs some direction and he'd be fine. But, very poor. Calls the 2 men boss repeatedly. Not cool at all. He brought us bread. We asked for oil, he came around a second time we asked for oil and nothing. I had to get up and go in the restaurant. He saw me then and he grabbed the oil. Our friend asked for a sharp knife and nothing. Our food was delivered, we asked for pepper and we had to wait and ask a second time. We had to flag him down to ask for refills on the water. We overheard two women at the next table also nicely complain to him several times. You are our neighborhood go to for Italian food, but we hope somebody gives this young man some direction. We still gave him a reasonable tip because we want to support the waiter and your staff. Unfortunately, it was disappointing and a turn off. Many thanks.

Yelp
Food was good and service was great, Not too pricey and you get the quality for the price you pay. Will be coming back.

Yelp
Came in on a whim while my daughter was in dance practice. I intended to only order a cocktail and take out but apparently on Tuesday-Thursday they have an amazing happy hour from 430-6. Food was fantastic, cocktails on point and service was great.. definitely coming with the whole family.. this is a hidden gem of a restaurant .

Yelp
Amazing find, just what we were looking for, an authentic local Italian restaurant. Down home feel, live music, extensive menu with lots of great options. Chicken cacciatore was delightful. Full flavor, almost buttery, the peppers and onions were slow cooked and tender. Best I ever had. Not greasy or bitter. Pizza was cooked to perfection with a crunchy crust. Love this place and can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
This place has become one of our favorite restaurants . The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. There is plenty of seating for families and a children's menu is available. We had their delicious pizza, antipasto, and Caesar salad. The children had spaghetti and meatballs. We enjoyed sharing strawberry cheesecake and ice cream for dessert but our server also surprised our birthday girl with a slice of chocolate cake and a song! I heartily recommend this authentic Italian jewel, and we plan on returning regularly.

Yelp
Decent food but completely inflexible manager and staff. Every time we go there is some drama about seating, food issues or other problems. Been going there for a while but this was our last time. Oh well.

Yelp
The food remains quite good; the service is excellent. This is a good place to go with your family. They have house made fresh pasta, which is mostly tasty, and on the weekends there's entertainment, a singer who has been there for quite a while and mostly does old favorites.

Yelp
Very disappointed on several levels. 1. Caprese salad - mozzarella was basic (like the kind you would purchase at Costco). Served very cold as the cheese was hard. 2. My elderly Mom ordered angel hair with meat sauce. There wasn't even enough sauce to cover all the pasta! As she moved around the pasta, there were GAPS of just pasta (no sauce at all). We asked for a little extra sauce. They charged us for 4 oz of sauce without telling us in advance there would be a charge. What they gave us was NOT 4 oz. When I called this to the attention of our server, she said if we had asked for extra sauce when we ordered it, there would have not been a charge. Lame excuse. We have been to Aliotta's, Gaetano's, etc. and they have NEVER charged us for a little extra meat sauce!! 3. Service: Monica was awful. She was more concerned with the couple with the baby (who she apparently knew) than with making sure we were taken care of. The restaurant was not that busy. We had to ask the busboys for assistance (butter for bread, more hot water for tea, etc.).

Yelp
This is one of the Best Italian restaurants we've ever been to. Their Gnocci Alfredo with grilled chicken, Carbonara and Pacheri Amatriciana (#1 recommendation from our waitress so we had to try and it's not spicy at all) were the best pasta's we've had, and we have traveled all over. To top it off we had to get the Spumoni for dessert,I mean it is the name after all and what can I say, it was incredible and did not disappoint. Great for the whole family, my kids were blown away and said it was the best meal of their whole lives. Absolutely amazing food and experience and will go here every-time I am back in Hermosa.
