San Francisco Pizza Chain Square Pie Guys Is Expanding to the South Bay | Eater SF

"Set to debut Tuesday, August 5, this first official South Bay location brings the brand’s Detroit-style square slices and cuppy pepperoni to a 3,500-square-foot space next to the Pruneyard, opening with core favorites like the loaded pepperoni pizza, two mushroom slices, and the Big Von with white sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and Mike’s Hot Honey, alongside Szechuan and other flavored wings and salads such as the chop salad. Thanks to a flat-top grill, the team plans to bring back the short-lived smash burger within the first three months and is teasing additional “fun sandwiches” later; lunch items served at other locations — a classic Italian combo and a chicken parm sandwich on focaccia-like bread made from the pizza dough — are expected to appear down the line. This Campbell shop ups the beverage options with more beers on tap than the other locations, wine, and the mini-chain’s first-ever soda machine, and adds outdoor seating well-suited to warmer South Bay weather. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday." - Dianne de Guzman

Being from Michigan, I know Detroit style pizza. I was eagerly awaiting the opening of this new pizza joint. It definitely is some amazing Detroit style pizza! The crust is think, the red sauce is tangy, and there is plenty of toppings and cheese! We ordered cheese for the kids and my husband and I created our own. We also ordered a side of brussels which were very crispy and came with a fantastic dipping aioli. My ONLY complaint is that toppings are limited. There aren't the same topping choices as say other local pizza places. But the quality is there and service is great (we also pick up).

We stopped by for the grand opening party and got to watch the chamber of commerce ribbon cutting and welcome by the mayor. There was no wait in line when we arrived and the gal behind the counter with the red hair was super informative. She told us what we could and could not do with the menu and made many recommendations of what she enjoyed. We took one of her recommendations for the mushroom pizza, but also had to order a classic pepperoni. We ordered two fountain drinks and she made it clear that the sodas weren’t the regular typical run of the mill. It was all good. The pizza took about 20 minutes or so to come out to the table, but we did order at the counter, got a number and found a table. The pizza was delivered, and we were asked if we wanted plates or anything additional, I asked for oregano, which they had and gladly brought. We said no to plates, but they still brought them. It’s all good. Many people stopped by our table to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves, I imagine more than normal due to the grand opening party. The bill was less than $60 for the two 4-slice pizzas and two sodas before tip, but I guess that’s becoming more common pricing for things. The pizzas were tasty, the pepperoni had a good flavor, the crust was delicious, and it’s cool to see the location be open again with an option for people near downtown Campbell.

Finally had the chance to try Square Pie Guys. I love Detroit style pizza and I was not disappointed. I ordered two pies and a salad to go. The crust was delicious - a perfect balance of crispy and doughy. The red sauce tasted very fresh, like real tomatoes. I thought the chicken for the pizza was very flavorful. The restaurant was super clean and everything looks brand new. Can't wait to go and eat at the restaurant next time.

Was craving a pizza today and came across Square Pie Guys in Downtown Campbell. Cute restaurant with white and blue accent and an open concept. You walk in and greated immediately by the staff with smiles. The menu is simple. Pizza, salads and wings. Ordered the Supreme pizza and no joke, I could not finish it! This pizza is delicious. Made with a spicy vodka sauce that really hits with enjoyment. Ill come back here and try their other pizzas. Many of the guest were ordering multiple pizzas. So going to bring friends in next tine and have a feast!

Google
We’ve been waiting for them to open and they did not disappoint! We ordered the cheese for our kids and the Ellen Supreme for my wife and I! Each slice had the perfect bite with a crispy crunch and not overly sauced. We were all stuffed and had 2 slices to take home. Extremely casual and kid friendly environment. They had 5 beers on tap and 3 can wines. They also have a promo at the moment where you buy one pep on the app and get one for free. We’re will be getting that later this week for dinner. Go get some!

Google
Service was outstanding, welcomed us and helped us pick our first pizza here (Ellen’s Supreme). Love the deep dish crispy crust Detroit style. I’m not a huge fan of vodka sauce or onions (grilled on this so better than raw hehe) but still very tasty. I will be back to try a regular pepperoni! Very clean and welcoming (I’m a fan of dark old Pizza places myself lol!)

Google
11.23.25. Lunch. Campbell & Dillon Ave’s. Relatively new spot in town for pizza. They are square pizzas about 14” square cut into 4 pieces. They even have a tap with tap or sparkling water. Nice touch. Would we go back? Yes, we would.

Google
Been here 3 times since they opened and I am going to keep coming back! The pizza is fantastic with a buttery crispy crust all the staff I’ve interacted with were super friendly. It seemed a little pricey at first but we joined their rewards program and they often have deals! I highly recommend the spicy pepperoni (pictured)!

Yelp
There was one gentleman working when we came. We came right before the rush. I felt bad because we see him taking orders, having to fix the soda machine (their diet cola was weird and the root beer had a off color), bringing the orders out... One thing that I was not ok with was that my request to have the chicken on the side instead of on the pizza was denied. I agreed to having it left off but other than that, the pizza was very delicious; golden crust with a satisfying crunch with each bite. It wasn't too lemony either. I'm glad they opened a physical location in the South Bay. We will be back.

Yelp
It may be square but its not Detroit pizza. Ordered sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. No mushrooms were to be found on this pizza. Sausage looked like burnt kibble. Bottom of the crust was soggy. Sauce is supposed to be on top of the pizza. Ordered salad with the pizza but no plates were delivered to the table. Had to ask for forks. Campbell has better places for pizza. Go downtown San jose or San Francisco for real Detroit style pizza

Yelp
Amazing! The service was fantastic and the food was great too. We came around lunch time so it took a bit to get the pizza. But it's understandable. The pizza had a very crispy crust and a soft inside and the toppings were tasty. Highly recommend. There was a ton of space inside and it was easy to find a seat.

Yelp
Crunchy, focaccia like crust! Extremely flavorful pizza that prides itself on the crispy exterior and fluffy interior. I loved the flavor of the pizza sauce and the crunch of the crust--my favorite type of pizza! The price of the pizza wasn't too bad, at $16-18 a pie! The service was quick and the server & chef were very kind! I loved the interior of the place as well with the bright blue colors and almost American diner essence! Would come back again to try more of their pizzas!

Yelp
Too Hip to be Square Sf-based purveyor of award-winning Detroit-style pizzas that began as a weekend pop-up and has now blossomed into five brick-and-mortar locations, as well as a bevy of ghost kitchens. I've been hearing about the square Detroit-style pies for years now, but had yet to dip my toes into this pizza avenue. Admittedly, I just don't eat as much pizza as I used to for one reason or another, but after seeing them advertising a 40%-off sale I knew I couldn't afford to not to try it at this point. :) The Good: *The hype is real on those squared off edges; crispy, cheesy, and great crust. *Great location not too far from Downtown Campbell *Free street and private lot parking *Placed an order for pickup thru the app and it was ready to pickup on time. Be aware there's a separate window for pickup. *Service was friendly *Their app is simple and works. It will also alert you to any sales or special deals. *Buffallo wings were not bad but still not as good as Jake's. They could've been crispier and maybe a bit more heat to the sauce. The Meh: *Parking can be a pain on weekends, especially on Sundays when the extremely popular Campbell Farmer's Market is going on. *Prices are a touch on the high side for a pie ($20-25/ea) that they claim can serve two people. Maybe "normal" people but not this fat ass *oink oink* *No outdoor dining The Ugly: *While I liked the edges, to me it was the interior middle portion of the pie that wasn't doing it for me. It was very soft and squishy like it was underbaked. I don't get grossed out easily, but it was kinda gross. Maybe it's supposed to be like that, but I kinda doubt it. Conclusion: I liked it, but I didn't like it. I might have to try it again, but I'm not in any rush.

Yelp
Ugh, literally already want to eat this tonight. Instead I decided to write a review. Came here on a rainy Wednesday night and it was very quiet inside. Which i prefer. They have so much seating and it is so clean! I appreciate the live plants spread throughout and the accents of their signature color. I tried the following: -house salad, OMG literally so good w/the perfect tang from the vinaigrette. -regular pizza, this was perfection, perfect amount of cheese, sauce, basil on a soft and crispy crust. I also hate crust but ate this one. -buffalo sauce and ranch, can't go wrong -alameda coke w/a little bit of lemonade (trust the process) My partner really liked his wings and pizza (pictured) service was friendly and quick considering they make everything fresh The self serve water station is awesome, wish more places had that. Many vegetarian options, but I didn't see a patio for your furry friend.

Yelp
Stopped in for a last-minute, super casual lunch with friends mostly because it was closest for both of us--sometimes convenience wins. If you're deep into deep dish and bubbles, this place will work for you. The Detroit-style pies are heavy, they don't hold back on the toppings but a little light on the sauce and cheese. Soda selection is fun, but service can be a little hit-or-miss. The surprise? The salads and brussel sprouts were honestly the standouts--fresh, crunchy, and way better than expected for a pizza spot. Not my usual scene, but it's solid for what it is. Just know it's loud, tables don't clear fast, and it's designed for big, comfort-food appetites. Good for group hangouts if you want to keep it low key and casual, but if you're after anything resembling quiet or quick turnover, might not be your spot.

Yelp
I used their app to place a to-go order of the lunchtime special of half one of their standard pizzas (you can't do a custom version for the special price). I choose the How Mush-room. It was very tasty, though I wish I'd read the description more closely because this one has white sauce instead of red sauce and I would have preferred red sauce for it. What impressed me was that the mushrooms actually had flavor! I don't know what they do to them, but they're not just cooked mushroom slices like on a typical pizza. I also really liked the shredded grana cheese on top after it's out of the oven; I don't usually notice something like that, but it really impacted the taste of the bites that had the cheese on them. My order was ready slightly ahead of the projected time, which was nice as I'd gotten there early. The guy who gave me my pizza in the window against the far wall was very friendly, as were the guys back there who I believe prepare the pies. The restaurant itself is tidy and clean but a little sterile-looking, with those awful metal chairs that are never comfortable to use if you actually have hips! The chairs are a very nice shade of blue, however, which seems to be their signature color. I will definitely be going back because I love this style of pizza, but I think I'll stick with takeout and not subject myself to the torture of those chairs!

Yelp
5/5 This is our new favorite deep dish pizza place! Appetizer: Szechuan Wings - it's THE BEST wings I've ever had. The wings may look simple and normal on photos, but the taste is complex & well-balanced. It is sweet and also savory. The sauce that it comes with is also well prepared and compliments the wing flavors well. Pizza: Mush-O-Roni & The Spicy Pepperoni The first thing that came to mind when I tried the pepperoni from the slice was that it was so crispy like a Filipino Chicharon (crispy fried pork skin snack). It had the perfect consistency and crunch! Both pizza flavors were really good. I found that in some deep dish places, the pepperoni is too salty - but not this one! Each ingredient has its role in winning hearts! SERVICE: The staff (esp the young gentleman at the register) were so friendly. We could tell that they love what they do. As soon as we walked in, everyone greeted us. The restaurant looks so clean, calm, and inviting. It's a great spot for casual dining with friends and family. The overall feel is relaxed, friendly, and just a little bit nostalgic. BTW - they have SPARKLING WATER ON TAP! A fizzy drink concludes the amazing sinful deep dish pizza lunch. We'll surely be back!

Yelp
Was a really great experience thru online. Ordering was fast and hassle free. They have parking right outside the restaurant that is easy to find and accessible. The lemon pepper wings were really good, had a lot of crunch to it and was really flavorful. The fries were crispy and great and the pizza was okay! I don't like how they mince the mushrooms super fine as they got burnt on the edges and wasn't great, the pepperoni and cheese were fantastic though. Interior is elevated with two windows, the one closest is for ordering and walking, while the one to the right is for pickup orders!

Yelp
I'm very happy that Square Pie Guys have made their way down to my neck of the woods, and I do hope they're here to stay. I've ordered delivery from SPG Campbell a few times now, and they've consistently provided great food and service. Just as good as my experiences in their SF Mission location. Having passed by the physical restaurant a few times now, they're in a great location, taking over the space previously occupied by Desi. Ample and convenient parking, with a simple interior layout. I love Detroit-style pizzas -- rectangular, thick caramelized crust, and plenty of sauce & toppings. I'm glad it's gaining popularity over the years, too. I prefer SPG over Slice of Homage because it's less salty, the crust is more stable, and the ratios are more even. My favorite pies are the Ellen and the Margherita. Super happy that the app's been offering great BOGO or 50% deals lately. I will say that it does have issues adding rewards right now, but Chat Support has been very helpful. Welcome to the South Bay, SPG! 5/5, you have a regular now.

Yelp
Pizza was delicious! Crust was so crispy on the outside but soft and perfect inside. The pizza was superrr cheesy. So flavorful and yummy. It hit the spot. Ambiance was great inside the restaurant and staff were so nice!! Def recommend!

Yelp
First visit to a Square Pie Guys and we were not disappointed! Atmosphere was open, bright and inviting. Restaurant was clean. Service was superb - very friendly and patient. Food was delicious. We first heard of Square Pie Guys when it was offered through Local Kitchens in our neighborhood, but were always hesitant to try them if we couldn't eat it hot and fresh right out of the oven. So I was happy when this new location in Campbell opened earlier this month! We ordered two pizzas: Pepperoni, and Ellen Supreme (note that "Vodka sauce" is like a slightly spicy version of the red sauce). All their pizzas are deep dish style, so they go farther than you think! We were able to easily share 2 pizzas among 3 of us. Also added Szechuan Wings (so yummy!) and some sodas (also great flavors, not your traditional Coke and Pepsi!). Everything was yummy. Prices were a bit on the higher side but at least things were tasty and the deep dish pizzas were bigger than they looked! Heard you can get savings by downloading the app, which I didn't do, so will have to try that next time. We look forward to visiting again!

Yelp
Back again, got 2 pies for take out, the pepperoni and a custom one with red sauce, sausage and mushrooms - delicious! The day sucked but the moon seems to be hitting our eyes like a big pizza pie - that's amore! The dough is thick but light, the sauce is tangy and tasty, and the toppings are just right! You can tell they use fresh and very high quality ingredients.

Yelp
I've been a big fan of SPG since their opening in the Oakland. This brand new location is sparkling clean, with a bright white interior and spacious seating arrangement. This plaza is located near the downtown Campbell area but there is actually a designated parking lot here. This plaza gets filled up quickly especially on weekends. The menu offers their take on detroit style pizza, chicken wings, and even dessert options. Placing an order online was easy and the estimated time was quite accurate so definitely don't come early expecting your order to be done. Pizza is a work of art that takes time and love- it is not to be rushed. How-mushroom pizza- This was my favorite of the two we ordered. The creamy white sauce was delicious, and the mushrooms were filled with umami and aromatics from the parsley. The grana cheese was mild yet enough to satisfy the savory cravings I had. The dough was soft yet substantial throughout the whole meal. I also like how the dough isn't overly greasy like Slice of Homage's detroit style pizza. The cheddar edge really makes the crust tasty and enjoyable. Pepperoni- This was on the saltier and sour side as the red sauce was quite acidic and punchy. I prefer a milder tone of red sauce that's probably why I prefer the mushroom pizza. The pepperoni was good just a bit overpowered by the red sauce flavors. Personally I would come back for the how-mushroom pizza alone. The pizza doesn't feel too heavy.. the base is solid with a high quality pizza dough, especially when paired with some hot honey or red pepper flakes. The half order fills up one person so do plan accordingly. Go try them!

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Square Pie Guys, so I was thrilled to see one pop up right in the neighborhood! The place was packed on a Tuesday evening, but I managed to score parking right in front, and we were seated right away. We ordered two sets of wings--Buffalo and lemon pepper--and a classic pepperoni pizza for our pie. The wings were generously sized, and the Buffalo sauce was spot-on. The house-made ranch was absolutely delicious--yumm! The lemon pepper wings were subtle but flavorful; my son usually doesn't care for lemon pepper, but he liked these because the seasoning was light. Then came the star of the night: the pizza. Perfectly gooey cheese, crispy edges, and soft, airy bread with just the right crunch. The pepperoni was perfectly distributed, and I'll admit--I was that person who ate most of the perfectly crusted edges. We paired our meal with Harney & Sons Lemonade, and as a sweet surprise, we were blessed with a complimentary chocolate brownie. My son was in brownie heaven! The chocolate flavor was rich but not overwhelming, making it perfect even for someone like me who isn't a big chocolate lover. The balance with the drizzle on top made it divine. The setting is casual and plenty of seats there's tables for 2-6. Square Pie Guys will definitely be a regular pizza spot for us. Thank you for a great experience!

Yelp
First time here! Place is nice, bright, and so clean! We were greeted and welcomed by a super friendly and nice guy. He gave recommendations based on our preferences. We started with a huge salad. Large enough for probably 4 people to share. Really fresh and simple, but delicious. Next came garlic fries, because hell yeah. - garlic fries! Couldn't say no. Loved them. Crispy and garlicky. Sauce was pretty good too. I didn't need ketchup. Now the pie - we decided on the Ellen. Really enjoyed it! Crispy and tasty crust, bottom and all around the edges. The pepperoni was nice and crispy too. It has some mild heat. Bought a Hawaiian pie to bring home and have for later. Because - late night snackies!! Will be back to try more pies!

Yelp
Opening week and had to give it a try. I love Detroit style pizza so was excited to try. The restaurant space itself is nice clean and airy. Parking can be challenging though. The pizza was very good and totally met expectations. Really nice crusty and crispy crust with cheese on the edges. I like they also serve the Pizza Hut on a wire rack so the crust doesn't get soggy. Bonus points for that thoughtfulness! We also tried the fried Brussels, which were very good, especially with the aïoli dipping sauce , and we also tried the buffalo wings which were solid as well. So overall was quite happy and expect this to go into the regular rotation. Also, really nice. They have sparkling water on tap for free.

Yelp
Square Pie Guys is a brand new deep dish (Detroit style) pizza shop on Campbell Ave just east of downtown. The place is new and clean and well decorated. It was Saturday evening and not too crowded. The service is very friendly and the pizza came out pretty fast (maybe 20 minutes). The pizza itself was good but not amazing. The ingredients had a lot of flavor but it was also really salty. The crust was really thick and although crispy on the edges, it was a slightly undercooked in the middle. Honestly I'm probably more used to the Chicago deep dish with more ingredients and less dough and that would likely be my preference going forward. From a value standpoint, this pizza was $24.50 and it was pretty small for that price point (width and length, not so much depth). Does that make sense?

Yelp
I came here for the grand opening lunch on Tuesday August 5th and I have to say that I don't usually go out of my way for pizza because I feel like most of the ones that I've had are nothing special besides Prince street Pizza but I don't regret coming to this because this might just be my favorite local pizza. I got the Ellen Supreme and I loved it, though I do think it was missing some veggies but I'm all for a meat lover's pizza. The cheesy crust makes it all the better. My partner got the pepperoni and it was good but just a bit plain for me though the pepperoni cups were great. ~~Parking: The establishment is located as a stand alone on the end of a strip mall but usually there's plenty of parking unless you're coming on Sunday for lunch (less parking due to the Campbell's Farmer's Market). There's a lot of street parking available, but it's also not too far from downtown where you can park in one of the structures there if you're not able to find parking in the lot. ~~Service: Good. I found it a bit strange that there weren't containers of cheese or chili peppers on the tables and instead they came in small packets like when you get pizza to-go. It would have also been nice if they just had a stack of boxes for you to easily grab one to take your left overs so you don't have to hail down a staff member for one. ~~Best Part: They have sparkling water on tap!! Bubbles ratio is perfect! ~~Return: Yes.

Yelp
My mom and I came here for a weekday lunch. I ordered The Hawaiian ($24.50) and my mom ordered The Ellen Supreme ($24.50). The pizzas come standard 6"x8" and don't look like much at first, but we each only had a slice of our respective pizzas and were stuffed. The Hawaiian came with pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeños, and green onions. I was expecting my pizza to come with ham/Canadian bacon, but their version did not - no biggie. My mom liked her pizza, but wished that she had the option to add some veggies as the pizza was a little salty. I'm a thin crust pizza gal, but I'm glad I gave this place a try. My mom likes dough-ier pizzas and she liked the crunch of her pizza. This restaurant took over Desi. There is ample indoor seating. There is a complimentary water station with sparkling water as an option. Service was ok. The older lady working the register seemed like she had seen better days. Parking is also readily available in the adjacent lot.

Yelp
I love pizza, who doesn't, but the curse that I live with is I can't have dairy... no cheese, I cry. Getting pizza is always tough, but to my surprise Square Pie Guys OFFERS A DAIRY FREE OPTION. We picked up two pies to go, Mush-O-Roni and Ellen Supreme, rushed home put on a movie and got to munching. Food was good, we enjoyed the Detroit style pie, being a crust lover I was happy with the doughy style. Great flavors on the pies overall, especially the hot honey. -1 star due to inability to customize orders online, it would be nice to remove something (understand not allowing ability to add), but the flexibility to remove something you don't want would be great! & $1.40 for extra sauce hurts my soul. The staff were very helpful and attentive when I was waiting for my order, checking in multiple times without even asking and providing updates when it would be complete! The pick up corner is a vibe under the Hot Pizza neon sign. Use the app, you get % off on your first order. I recommend trying for a new style of pizza!

Yelp
Second time here at the new location. This time for pick up. The employees here have been so friendly and helpful both times and I love their approach to customer service. The food however, is awesome. Super clean flavors, Kale Caesar salad has been a winner for them, and super fresh. Pizza is great with crispy crust and despite being a little on the smaller side is really filling. Garlic fries and bread are so good as sides with good value. Can't wait to come back! Oh and the pan cookie is so good.

Yelp
Wanted to try a different pizza and sure glad I did . This pizza was delish! Perfect parts of each ingredient and cooked to perfection. Definitely found my new pizza spot .

Yelp
this pizza is delicious. Yes maybe it is expensive but it really is so tasty. There's not many other places serving up a Detroit style slice, and I don't think many others could do it as well. They add cheese to the outside of the crust that gets so nice and crispy, I'm addicted! It's hard to rationalize sometimes the pricier pies when there are a lot of other great affordable options, but to me, this is a special treat. They also have a surprisingly great selection of delicious salad if you're looking for something a little lighter. This is the newest square pie location, and as such there are always a lot of deals and discounts going around. They have very good gluten-free pizza as well and some selection of beer if you dine inside. It is a big open area space and I've never seen it too busy indoors, I think it's much more of a takeout spot. But I am happy for this addition to the South Bay to finally enjoy a good square slice!

Yelp
Awesome staff! Slow night and it was perfect. Everything came out exceptionally delicious! Chicken Parm, Crispy Brussels, Pep Pizza, Choc Cookie

Yelp
Somehow ended up on a mailing list where they have lots of promos, finally decided to try square pie guys when they were offering 50% off which seemed like a good deal. $30 for dinner for 2 people. I wish I had never seen that email because this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Nothing wrong with the actual staff at the location. They were working their asses off. The issue was that the app allowed way too many people to take advantage of this deal. When I got a text saying my pizza would be ready in 5-10 mins, we headed over, and arrived about 15 mins later. There were about 20 people waiting for to go orders when we got there. It was just way too many orders for a small place to handle. There was no clear system to know what place you were in line. After waiting an hour, I decided to give up and ask for a refund. The cashier wasn't able to do that or didn't know how. One of our two pizzas had been ready for a long time and was already cold, and they had no idea how far back in the queue the 2nd pizza was. So I asked to just take the cold pizza that was ready and take the L. To make matters worse, the pizza was painfully mid. I wouldn't recommend it even if the service was timely. Just writing this review to warn others not to try taking advantage of their too good to be true discounts. * I will happily update this review if the owner/manager contacts me to provide a refund. The cashier took my name and number for that purpose but I'm not holding my breath. I'll give them a few days and then dispute the charge with visa if I don't hear from them. **update: they gave me a credit in a very timely manner for the amount I spent, and I also received a full refund about 3 business days later. Horrible initial experience + exceptional service afterwards = 3 stars overall. I'd love to give them another shot, maybe on a random Tuesday with no promos going on.

Yelp
Tasty Detroit style pizza and it's our second trip this time with pictures. Very flavorful although husband ordered 2 similar pizza this time. Ellen and Mush. We also had the house salad which is a good deal and sharable and also the Szechuan wings which my son enjoyed. Staff is helpful and friendly and the space is roomy with plenty of seating. There can be a wait when there is a crush of people and a lot of takeout orders. But it's yummy.

Yelp
We did the BOGO cheese pizza special on the app. I marked one pizza as non-dairy and the second one was just a regular cheese pizza (without the nondairy.) I was charged the two dollars for the one non-dairy, which is to be expected. Anyhow, when my daughter picked up the pizzas they're both vegan. I called them back and I spoke to someone. I think it was Steil (spelling?) they insisted I did the order wrong. However, that is incorrect. First they didn't charge me the $2.00 non dairy upcharge for the second pizza. They also left a voicemail trying to confirm (which I didn't see until later unfortunately) asking me to confirm how I wanted my cheese pizzas, both vegan or one or each? lol.) You can see from the screenshots, but I did order it correctly. Also my daughter did the same, duplicate order for her and her boyfriend (one nondairy and one dairy) and no mixup there. I was just a little bit surprised that they were not willing to remake it. They said they were busy and I could call back later. The person on the phone did say they would give me a refund of some sort, which they did & I really appreciate. However, I was bummed. I really wanted that pizza ;) Just be aware if you do order a non-dairy pizza and a regular cheese then you may want to call and make sure they got it correct. Maybe something on the receipt cuts off that part or something.

Yelp
The new walkable pizza place is pretty cool. We went here last week, and the place was packed. The pizza was similar to Detroit style, and really tasty. The only thing I'd change is lowering the volume of the music, since it is really echo-y, and the music doesn't sound great when it is that loud. Other than that, no notes!

Yelp
New fave spot in Campbell! Square Pie Guys nailed it -- service was awesome, super friendly crew, and the pizza was on point. We did a custom veggie pie (grilled onions + peppers = chef's kiss), cheese bread with red sauce, and some killer brussels sprouts. Everything hit the spot. Pro tip: mention this review and you get extra free smiles + a ticket to the Life Is Awesome Hall of Fame.

Yelp
This is a good option for Detroit style pizza. Welcoming and efficient service, and the space is minimalist, modern, and clean. The Ellen Supreme was good, but a bit overpriced, for the portion size, and fast food vibe.

Yelp
I've been craving SPG for forever. Every other location is closed and they just opened here less than a month ago. Plenty of parking and not part of a larger shared kitchen. Brussels Sprouts are a hit!

Yelp
Crispy, fluffy and saucy - if that's what you're looking for in a pizza this is your place to go! I've tried pizzas all over the states and this place had to be one of my ultimate top choices. The crispy edges with such a tasty crunch are something you will crave in future pizzas. It was our first time trying this place and had no idea what to expect. Do I think the service could've been more energetic and informative? Oh 100%! But she was still kind to us. Ultimately, I would DEFINITELY be stopping by every time I come back to San Jose. And so SHOULD YOU!

Yelp
Our first time walking in we were taken away the how clean, friendly, and bright this place was. This is our second time coming to this location we have to shout out Mike and Bobby they are extremely nice and even gave us insight on how we could save by downloading the app. I highly recommend this location and this pizza. On top of all the customer service, the pizza is out of this world! We like the buffalo pizza!!!!

Yelp
Had a great experience eating here with my family! We went on a Monday night with no line to order. It was our first time trying it out and the cashier was super friendly and helpful, recommending pizzas based on toppings we usually get. You order at the register then get a number to place at your table. We ordered the Pepperoni and Big Von, and I think the Big Von was our favorite. The hot honey pleasantly surprised us and paired well with the other ingredients. It took about 15 min for all our food to come out. While we were waiting for our pizzas to come out, they gave us a complimentary house salad because they said they made an extra. They also gave us a pizza on the house because they accidentally forgot the sausage on the Big Von. We appreciated their transparency (and the extra food) since they recently opened and are still training staff! The atmosphere was casual and clean, perfect for hanging out with friends and family. The only thing we noticed was that if someone accidentally knocked over the pizza stand at their table (happened twice) the noise it made was pretty loud. I'd say it's a medium sized space that can definitely get busy on weekends, especially since it's on the edge of the main street of downtown Campbell. By the time we left it was almost full. Would definitely come back again for both delicious pizza and friendly people!

Yelp
Finally got to try this place as my husband and I have been looking for a Detroit style pizza place near us and how convenient it is that it's only a few minutes away. We got the pepperoni pizza and added on bell peppers and olives. Pepperoni in every bite, the dough was perfect in texture and the edges were nice and crispy. The size of pie at four pieces per pie is really the perfect size for a normal eater. Seating area is plentiful and is super clean and organized. Staff were friendly and helpful for a newcomer trying it out for the first time. Will definitely come here again! Glad it's here!

Yelp
Horrible service from start to finish! One cashier, taking order, talking on the phone, delivering food. Ordered salad no onion or tomatoes. Came with onions and tomatoes. Ordered two pizzas, one came out and other one didn't until the other person was finished. Pizza was good, nothing to write home about. Almost $80. Come on management step it up! We won't be back.

Yelp
We first tried SPG in SF , and loved on the amazing, crispy crust and cup pepperoni! THRILLED to see they opened in Campbell! The pizza is so satisfying and there's a discount every day! BUT this location has hospital grade bright white lights, cold steel chairs, and the line for takeout orders is out the door. They def don't want customers to stay and eat. Too bad, it could be a nicer hangout with a few small modifications.

Yelp
Detroit style for the win. The pizza was great, sauce had good flavor and the crust just the right amount of crunch. We ordered and it was ready in 15 minutes when we arrived. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Surprisingly pretty good! When I first opened the box I was initially kind of disappointed as it didn't look like that much food for the price but soon realized these slices are extremely dense. Flavor wise 4/5 - it's good but not the best pizza I've had. Be cautious of the Hawaiian pizza - that was surprisingly spicy, even over the spicy pepperoni that we also had. Staff and decor are also nice - no complaints there. Will likely come back!

Yelp
I returned because the food is great! The ambience is great, there's plenty of lighting, and a friendly staff! The staff really works with you to see if you are satisfied with your meal! The restaurant is clean as well, and the kitchen area is visible to really put you at ease! Adjusting to the recent change of weather really worked out! It's great for being child friendly as well there were even babies there trying their first experience of solid food! Great job Guys!

Yelp
First time attempting to order- at the time our food was meant to arrive at my house, we got a call from delivery person who was at the restaurant and was told he'd have to wait AT LEAST an additional half hour. For some reason our order was routed to a farther location with a half hour delivery time on top of that. Tried to cancel order and were very poorly treated. Staff was dismissive, rude and condescending - These guys are terrible. Maybe they should ease up on their social media presence and spend some resources on customer service.

Yelp
The Ellen Supreme is AA!! As in Absolutely Amazing!!! And they have 6 beers on Tap!! I've had a few "Detroit" style pizzas before in the east coast and other areas and Square Pie Guys knocks it outta the park!! It really is delicious. I can't wait to try the other pizzas. The Vodka sauce on the Ellen Supreme just takes it up another notch. Will be back soon.

Yelp
Wow! This is my second time having detroit style pizza and I would definitely come again. The pizza was hot and fresh, the pepperonis and edges are so crispy. I also like that there is still and sparkling water options available. The restaurant is so spacious and open, especially with the windows looking out. Located near downtown Campbell, great spot to hang out with a friend and go for a walk after. I really loved the brussel sprouts, hint of savory and sweet and so delicious. Service was on top of checking in with us and came by to see if we needed anything. Great spot, would come again!

Yelp
Lives up to the hype! Pizzas are absolutely delicious! Tried the plain cheese and the Ellen pizza. Both are fantastic. The crust is really thick so you can't eat as much as you normally would. I ate 1 slice and husband ate 3. We were stuffed! Great value for money if you think of it that way. Toppings are generous and very tasty. We ordered for takeout online so can't speak to the service in the restaurant. This place replaced the restaurant previously here called Desi. The ambiance is really nice. The place is very bright with huge ceilings and large glass windows. It's all clean and new with beautiful plants all over. There's a good amount of seating space and honest the place looked packed for a Thursday evening 5:30 pm. Overall loved it, definitely coming back and enjoying leftovers for several days!

Yelp
I ordered delivery here for a big group. The food was great! It arrived hot and pretty much in the window I selected. My guests enjoyed the pizza and the wings were actually crispy and not soggy! and I loved the salads. Some of the pizzas were hotter than others but that was such a small critique. I liked the fact that someone reached out day of to see if I needed anything but it did come while we were at the event before so I didn't get a chance to answer. I loved the salads so much I can't wait to go back with my family so they can get a pizza and I can get a yummy salad with chicken!

Yelp
Super friendly staff Pizza came quickly, I ended up ordering a pizza to take home. Salad was amazing!!! Will come again!
