Must-see dining rooms to visit in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"This jewel-box restaurant from Jean-Georges Vongerichten at the Bellagio is decked out in plush velvet draping and powder-blue marble floors as an ode to Tiffany & Co., evoking a 1930s speakeasy chop house; the walls display three commissioned paintings by Carlo Maria Mariani, George Deem, and Michael Gregory, plus a water-themed canvas screen by Joseph Raffael." - Susan Stapleton

Food is good. Tamika was a great hostess/waitress/server whatever. The deserts were lack luster wouldnt buy any of them again. Definitely dont get the green apple thing it was very underwhelming, cool presentation, bad flavor/no flavor. The tomahawk steak was delicious. Eat it all! Shrimp, mashed potatoes, candied bacon, mushrooms everything was good. Just not the desert. The table next to us had a lava cake it looked and smelled better.

Google
Went for our anniversary dinner. Great service and the food was very good. Center cut Ribeye, Mary's Farm Chicken, Giant Baked Potato and Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Banana Foster Cheesecake treat for our anniversary.

Google
The experience is worth the price. You are looking at 65 to 165 per steak and the sides are shareable around 10 to 25 per plate. I would say it is a must try. Add porkchops for us poor folks that would still shell out 35 or so. Great service and friendly staff.

Google
This steak house is wonderful. We had a celebration of life last weekend for my mom and we took the family to dinner at S R Prime steakhouse. We are always treated like royalty but this dinner everyone went above and beyond to make this such a memorable dinner. I was in tears when Lisa and Isaac our servers, brought out our deserts. the event was so memorable. they set us up in the private dining room. My family came from out of the area and out of state and they all were amazed at the service we were given. The food was excellent.

Google
I love to eat, drink, and cook. The service was excellent. However, I needed/wanted more seasoning on the food. The crab cake was excellent. The price point is fairly high. However, I don't mind paying for really good food. To give you an idea of the price point...We spent approximately $248 for a dinner (for two people), plus appetizers and cocktails.

Our first time at Sky River. Everything was 5 stars-worth every penny. The Alaskan King Crab, the Dry Aged Rib Eye and Wagyu steak were awesome! The cocktails were lovely Will be back for more 😄

Google
A well needed 5 star restaurant in the area, located in front of the new Ski River Casino. With easy access. Reservations are recommended. Great menu items complemented with an amazing wine and cocktail options. Service and atmosphere matching my 5 star rating. Highly recommend.

Google
Best filet around. Nice selection of salads to choose from. They understand seniors splitting a meal as the portions are generous. The giant stuffed baked potato is a meal in it self unless shared. The only issue was with the bill. I found we were charged for 3 glasses of wine at $33 a glass. After running my card and signing, I noticed the error and mentioned it for which they needed to cancel the first charge and re-do it. I mentioned they should comp a glass of wine for the overcharge and the customer having to notice. The waiter didn’t respond and charged full price. I don’t have an issue with paying for what I ordered. It’s a matter of public relations and bringing customers with their friends back.

Yelp
It was a last minute reservation as we are planning to have dinner for my Birthday at Flemings. Glad we tried SR Prime Steakhouse. We had: Red wine- our server Erica recommendation Cocktail- Dragon cocktail- recommended by Erica For appetizer we had Bone marrow grilled with chumichiri and beef roulade sauce with bread- very good have to wipe al sauce with bread The soup of the day was butternut squash with crunchy bread and pumpkin seed - it's good as well. For main we have the ribeye bone it with side of baked potatoes- steaks cooked perfectly which we ask for medium well. Outside have chard taste at the outside and still can see the pinkish meat For my baked potatoes I prefer white cheese but yellow still good. Good food, nice place and great service. Thank you SR Prime .. we will definitely come back soon. Thank you Alberto for singing Happy Birthday!

Yelp
I had heard about a new steakhouse @ Sky River Casino in El Grove, CA and decided to try it out Saturday evening. The Hostess was very kind and accommodating. Even though I was dining in an upscale restaurant and dressed in sweat pants, a 49'ers jersey, cap and tennis shoes, she walked me to my table in a beautiful dining room without a reservation. She left me with a menu and once again welcomed me to SR Prime Steakhouse. The menu had so many choices for appetizers, sides, entrees and desserts. Plus the wine list and the bar menu was equally impressive with anything a five star restaurant would offer. Once comfortable in my seat, I was first met with an individual whom I thought was my waiter asking if I needed a beverage, poured me a glass of water and asked if I would like some bread? The dapper young man then said my waiter would be with me shortly. Shortly thereafter, my waiter arrived and introduced himself very politely. He then asked if I had an idea what I wanted to order, he made some suggestions and I made my decision. I ordered French onion soup to begin with and a New York Strip with puréed mashed potatoes. Soon after my bread arrived with a kind older gentleman with a vibrant smile whom also was welcoming and respectful. The bread and what looked like crackers but with an elegant twist was accompanied by a generous portion of white butter. This would prove to be my Aquiles heel due to the superb taste the combination offered my pallet. Then my waiter reappeared with the French onion soup which was excellent. With perfect timing my main course arrived and I was not disappointed. My steak was perfectly prepared, the mashed potatoes were exquisite and in all honesty, top three culinary experiences of my 58 years on our planet. Now to the question most people are thinking of, how was the price? As a man who has travelled extensively throughout the world, if you can't afford to splurge or have no desire to do so then you will find the experience a bit expensive. I myself felt it was quite reasonable considering all the variables. In total I spent $150 American currency, including 20% gratuity. In my opinion, SR Prime Steakhouse gets 5 stars based on all variables aforementioned.

Yelp
Best steak in Sacramento!!! I put this up against Rudy's Hideaway, Morton's, Ruth Criss and Cattleman's! It may seem pricey to some but more than worth it!! I got a "Yellowstone" which is an Old Fasioned that comes in a smoke box and it was the Best I've ever had! The bone marrow appetizer and crab cakes were exquisite but the raw oysters stole the appetizer show!! Plump, fresh and juicy!! We could have eaten another dozen!!! The main courses: Wife's lamb chops were cooked to perfection, full of flavor and nice bite off the bone!! My ribeye was to die for!! I got the garlic butter and lump crab meat on top for a little extra fee but more than worth it!! Perfectly cooked medium steak and excellent sear! Service was amazing. A little slow for an empty Sunday evening but their smiles and positive attitudes compensated!!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Yelp
I've been here many times and I'm just now getting to write my review. Not sure why it's taking me so long! The service is always great. I've never really had a long wait and usually if tables are full you can find a spot at the bar. This particular visit was to celebrate my birthday and they set the table up with cute "happy birthday" confetti! Apps: Fritto misto: 4/5 fried egg plant, bell pepper, calamari & zucchini. The calamari was small and rubbery Shrimp cocktail 5/5- big, fresh, clean and refreshing! Ribeye- 5/5 ordered medium well. Cooked perfectly! Flavor was good without the addition of chimichurri or garlic butter. Brussels-4/5 usually really good to my taste buds but for some reason it was on the sweeter side. Not a bad thing just not to my liking. But they were still decent Mushrooms: 5/5 i liked the flavor but considering I'm the only one that eats mushrooms i should have thought about the portion that would go uneaten before ordering lol. It's a lot Lobster Mac-4/5 creamy, nice chunks of lobster, good share portion. I'm just not a fan of the rosemary flavor on it. It's still very good! King crab- off menu ( i should have known better) unfortunately we came across some not so yummy crab this visit, It's no one's fault. Of course i will be back they have great people, great drinks and yummy food. Plus the vibes is always right

Yelp
Wow what a great steakhouse! Top of the line dining inside Sacramento's newest premier casino. Had my first, of many, visits to SR Prime Steakhouse Friday night with some friends. We were immediately asked what drinks we'd like. Went with coffee and water. The coffee here was tremendous! Creamer and sugar of course. We were brought bread with a creamy butter while we browsed the menu. The inside of the steakhouse is super nice and you'd have no idea it was inside a casino if it weren't for the clear windows showing the slots. I was really pleased with the service here. We had a main server who did a beautiful job taking care of us but also other workers kept coming by and checking on our drinks and any other needs we had. I like the attention to customers here. Went with the French fries and the boneless ribeye steak. Both were delicious. Steak cooked to perfection and the fries were some of the best I've ever had. The food here is not cheap but it's insanely well done and you gotta treat yourself sometimes!

Yelp
Superb, except Friday and Saturday. I don't know why. Filet perfect on Thursdays. Sitting in the bar is perfection. Cherry Cordial drink will drop you to your knees. Just dip everything in the sauce. Over the top compared to Hell's Kitchen. Max is observant, on point and a great bartender! Brava!

Yelp
Came for the file minion with a side of grilled asparagus and creamy garlic mashed potatoes That steak was melt in your mouth good I was able to cut through it with no effort A perfect sear on all sides giving it a wonderful smoky char flavor in each bite For desert the crème brûlée was a shinning star amount stars beautifully caramelized sugar dome over vanilla bean custard a perfect balance of sweetness

Yelp
This steakhouse is inside Sky River Casino. The ambience was nice but not stuffy. The servers were friendly. The service wasn't fast but then again you aren't at a fast food restaurant. Let's talk food- I had the parmesan fries, French onion soup, and sea bass. Others in our group had the steaks. The fries were fantastic just the right crispness and good amount of cheese. The French onion soup was really good and I'd definitely recommend it. The sea bass was good but the sauce with it wasn't that flavorful yet i still enjoyed the fish. Now what I really liked was the smoked Old Fashion (Yellowstone)- it was a great drink and presentation is on point. This steakhouse is worth trying and hopefully you can win the cost of dinner afterwards.

Yelp
Photos from my first visit back in September of 2024 and from last weekend. This was my first visit! The staff was able to make a reservation for our table, ahead of time. The drinks were good.

Yelp
Went to SR Prime Steakhouse for a date night and the ambiance was stunning dimly lit to perfection, with elegant, extravagant décor that made the whole place feel upscale but still cozy. It wasn't crowded, which made it even better for a relaxed, romantic evening. Our server was amazing, so kind, attentive, and really elevated the experience!! As for the food, I absolutely loved the lobster mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and my steak, everything was rich, flavorful, and hit the spot. My drink (wish I remembered the name) was beautifully presented and just the right amount of sweet. It's not my absolute favorite steakhouse, but I would 100% come back. My boyfriend didn't love the sides (he's a pickier eater) but I was a fan of it all. Perfect for a special date night; chic, cozy, and delicious!!!

Yelp
Came to celebrate a special occasion and was wowed! They truly went above and beyond even some small decorations on the table to celebrate us! The service is impeccable from start to finish! The wagyu was flavorful and just melts in your mouth! The ribeye was soft and cut like butter, the potato purée and creamed spinach complimented it nicely! Can't wait to see them again next year!!

Yelp
My wife and I decided to try this place out for our "Christmas" dinner, really it was the Sunday before Christmas, as she had to work Christmas day. We were dressed to the nines having come from a party and had reservations and walking through the casino I was treated like I worked there, was kinda cool. We were greeted promptly at the steakhouse by the hostess upon entering and decided to wait a bit in the lounge with some cocktails. I had an Old Fashioned which was perfectly made. We were then escorted to our table by the very friendly waiter. Bread was brought out and was delicious. I ordered an old vine zin and we ordered appetizers. I got the bone marrow and my wife had the baby iceberg salad. The salad was big enough to share, served with a blue cheese dressing, bacon and pickled onions it was very good. The bone marrow was small but spectacular. Served with some toasted bread, I was in umami heaven. For mains we ordered the 30oz bone-in dry-aged ribeye, medium rare. It was perfectly cooked and came with a bit of marrow which melted on the plate and made every bite amazing. For sides we ordered brussel sprouts and cream spinach. Both were excellent accompaniment for the steak. For dessert we chose the tiramisu which was large enough to share, and well priced for what we got. Our bill was what was expected for a high-end steak house. About the same as Flemings in San Jose, but less than a Ruth's Chris. We really enjoyed the meal and stopped next door at the Humidor for after dinner drinks and cigars. All-in-all an amazing night and a great time at Prime Steakhouse.

Yelp
For the most part the food was good, scallops were slim only getting four with nothing else for 52 dollars and too much liquid on the plate? Service was ood when the waitress was in charge, Lisa was a great lady and reat sense of humor. She would be the only reason I would go back! Also Annica the general mgr of the restaurant was great! Mike the attendant was really good also. The one guy that was taller taled a good part but gets distracted and forgets that he took your siverware and did not bring it back for awhile.? It did take a long time to get our food though, three hours start to finish. Prices were out of control if you ask me. Charge less and serve more, drinks were also pricey. For me going back I really dont think it wil happen again. The ambiance was great, but you wil need some cash! Ron

Yelp
First time here and our server was Maximus and he was polite, professional, and friendly. He gave us a lot of information on the specials and answered questions we had and checked in with us when our meal was on the way. He was great!!! The ribeye and fillet was sooooo goood! It was cooked to perfection. We both ordered medium rare and it was delicious. The meat was tender and melted in our mouths. Def would come back again for this quality of steak. The shrimp was a bit dry, and the mushrooms were abit salty. Otherwise, wonderful experience and ambience experience.

Yelp
We came for Mother's Day weekend and was surprised by a flower for each mother. We made reservations in advance, and glad we did because it was packed that day. Our server was very attentive. We ordered steak, which was tasty. Although the item that stood out the most for me was their French onion soup. I would go back here just for that. All in all, it is on the pricier side.

Yelp
High end steak house in Sky River casino, great food and great service! Our server Erica was very attentive and provided excellent service.

Yelp
My husband loves SR, so I decided to book his 50th birthday dinner there. We arrived just before 5 pm, were greeted, and checked in. The place is very nice and elegant. The vibe was relaxing. Our table had birthday glitter, and everyone acknowledged him. Our server was Chelsey with Isaac assisting her. They were both amazing! Our food was delicious, drinks strong and dessert yummy. Thank you for making it special! Totally forgot to take pics of the food lol!

Yelp
Oooh this place broke our wallets lol First time coming here for a celebration and we really enjoyed ourselves! Our waitress was so kind, patience and attentive. We ordered for starters a charcuterie board and bread and butter. Bread was super soft! Then for drinks, everyone chose their ideal drinks from scotch, whiskey, martini, Gotham (video) and IPA. Then a few minutes later, around food came! Yay! Forgot to take a picture of my Caesar Salad! The salad was tasty, nothing to rave about BUT the protein..omg that NEW YORK STEAK. You would have thought it was the tomahawk but nope! The New York was the winner. Prefect medium rare, red, flavorful and juicy. The Seared Scallop was pretty good, but the middle was somewhat cold... they were huge though! Regarding the tomahawk, it was somewhat dry...Parts were super well done and not as flavorful compared to the NY Steak. The interior was very beautiful. High ceiling with just the prefect lighting. Overall, I'd go back for the NY steak. It was delicious and very little effort to chew. Take my money for real. Lol

Yelp
Great food! Great service! Very prompt with drinks and food. High prices are worth it!

Yelp
The service and the ambiance were top notch. Although, located in the Sky River Casino the steakhouse atmosphere is quiet and elegant. The bar area consists of bar seating and round tables where you can dine for drinks or dinner in full. There is also outside seating.

Yelp
Ambiance/service: Within the casino, really modern design with helpful & respectful staff. Food: Starters: Caesar salad(split pictured) 5/5 actual anchovies, fully dressed with bite sized lettuce pieces. Clam chowder 3/5-was really heavy but it was cool how they served it deconstructed with broth poured on the potatoes, clams & bacon. Wish the broth was a bit more seasoned. Entree: Boneless ribeye with side of chimichurri-4/5 but price is a bit steep. Perfectly cook & a nice crusty exterior. Have definitely had more tender ribeyes. Could have easily split this with another person if you order the amount of sides/soup/salad like we do. Sides: Potatoes- 4-5butter based & simple. Good for a family to share. Not much depth of flavor 3/5. Carrots 5/5 very flavorful, sweet, smokey with awesome texture. A must order. Toppers: Bearnaise sauce topper- 5/5 acidic, creamy & was much needed. Chimichurri sauce topper- 2/5 didn't add much to the steak & may work better for a tougher cut like a New York or sirloin. Crab topper- 2/5 was way too heavy & wasn't seasoned. Was fresh crab but overtook the steak's flavor rather than compliment it. Dessert: Seasonal cheesecake(pecan)-5/5 Sweet, salty, creamy, velvety with deep flavors. One of the better dessert's I've had. Pecan pie & cheesecake combined! Unfortunately we weren't able to get the affogato because their expresso machine was down. Price of meal- 3/5. For being in a price range between Ruth's Chris, Sutter Street Steakhouse & Morton's it is a notch below those places. Was it a good meal? Yes. Was it warranted with the high prices when you could go the other options...in my opinion, no. For example, a place like Ruth's Chris not only has the entrees 4/5 or 5/5 but all the sides & starters as well. Overall score 4/5 May be back for a special occasion in the future but Ruth's Chris/Morton's/Sutter Street Steakhouse will be the go to high end spots in the Sacramento area for me.

Yelp
A1 food, pretty expensive tho. Steak was perfectly cooked and lobster Mac was on point

Alex G.

Yelp
Took my wife here for our wedding anniversary and had a great experience. Chelsey was an amazing server. Very helpful, personable, and attentive. Her conversation and attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was great. I recommend the blue cheese side with the Tomahawk. The setting was dim and they welcomed us with "happy anniversary" decor at the table. Pricey, but a great place for a fancy dinner.

Yelp
I came for my birthday and it pains me to write this as the restaurant, food presentation and service was immaculate, 5 star! They had our table reserved with gold birthday confetti which was a nice touch. However, the food left much to be desired and was mostly untouched. I imagine they may encounter this often as the servers took our mostly untouched plates away and asked no questions. Complimentary bread 2/5- hard and stale For starters Lobster bisque 2/5- tasted like tomato bisque and tepid Wedge salad 5/5 Crab cake 3/5- tasted no crab and lots of filler Bone marrow 5/5 Entrees New York Oscar style- 2/5 steak was very tough and they forgot to finish it Oscar style, when they did bring it the Bernaise was cold Short rib with parsnip purée 3/5 Sides Lobster cheese cavatappi (Mac and cheese) 0/5 - the cheese was so strong tasting and may have been spoiled Sautéed wild mushrooms with Cognac 0/5- tasted like chemicals Drinks and boxed up birthday cheesecake dessert were great.

Chris M.

Yelp
Food and service was great. A little pricey but worth it. It feels like a restaurant from Vegas was plopped into Elk Grove.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Our waitress was amazing! And the food delicious. We went here for my husbands birthday and all the staff wished him a happy birthday and put birthday confetti on our table. He had the ribeye and lobster tail and said everything was cooked to perfection. I had the lobster bucatini, the tomatoes in the pasta were very flavorful and the lobster was spot on. The star of the show though was the lobster cavatappi side dish. It was a huge portion for two people to share so we had enough to take home to have for dinner tomorrow, yum! We both ordered "The Girl With the Dragonfruit Tattoo" cocktail, I recommend it. Beautiful decor and nice atmosphere too.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
I was so impressed with this restaurant, the ambiance gives Vegas Vibes for sure, the service was first class, everyone was friendly, professional and attentive. The food was amazing. Presentation was on point and every dish we had was full of mouthwatering flavors, the wine that was paired to each course was cakebread cellars.
google avatar

Cynthia S.

Yelp
The food and service here is great for being inside a casino! We ordered the tomahawk, half dozen oyster, fries and broccolini. The tomahawk was a great size and cooked perfectly to our order. Definitely recommend adding the garlic butter and chimichurri sauce! The steak itself lacked a bit of salt but the sauce really helped. For drinks we got the yama bu and green ranger! Both were delicious! The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is because we waited a while for our steak.

Jennie S.

Yelp
Service good, ambiance good, food was ok. Steak was good but the short ribs with gnocchi was inedible. Short rib was all fat and no meat, asked if this was normal and they said yes. Super disappointed in that. Overall, would probably eat at another steak house.

Yelp
If I didn't have my sky river rewards to pay for this I would've been very irritated. That said everything was decent- Outback Steakhouse or roadhouse quality. Decent porterhouse, baked potato was hard (guy with the fixings needed two spoons per sour cream and butter) he was struggling with one to dress the potato, onion soup was good, and the wedge salad with bacon and blue cheese was ok. One glass of wine was delicious and server made a great suggestion to my ladies needs. Let me elaborate on the porter house...we got the garlic butter to top this huge morsel. It was perfect medium but tough and the silver skin was still there. Cutting it with knife and fork was very awkward and difficult. At 200 bucks not justified. The waitress was great, food was decent, it was a Thursday at 5:30 I get it. Still on the hunt for a great steakhouse in Elk Grove. Not going to return.
google avatar

Lynne P.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in the Sky River Casino and the restaurant itself is quite beautiful, upscale! The food was excellent, our steak was cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the wedge salad and the poached apple salad was very fresh, I am glad I got the dressing on the side as it didn't need much! The service was not good -my husband's baked potato didn't come out until the rest of our party was ready to leave the table. The waiter didn't write anything down and therefore was confused when delivering our food. I had to ask for silverware and a napkin numerous times...but the food and cocktails still gives this restaurant a four star rating.

Yelp
My husband made reservations for a nice dinner night. This is an upscale steakhouse inside the Sky River Casino. It is really nice on the eyes with the glass chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceilings. Who is greeted and We waited about three minutes to be sat to our table. We sat in the inside near a window. The table was set up nice for two people. I ordered the lady with the Dragon tattoo drink. It was a bit sweet. Couldn't really taste any of the alcohol in it. He ordered the prickly cactus where he was born that it was spicy. Needless to say, it was spicy but it was a nice tasty spice. I ordered the 7 ounce filet mignon, with the potato purée and the cream spinach. He had the salmon. I was a bit disappointed to know that we both felt everything was really salty. The potatoes reminded me of the ones that come in a box.... I wanted to love the creamed spinach but it was too salty. It could've been taken cream salty from the charred cheese on top. We had to scrape it off. His salmon was extremely salty and lemony at the same time. I will say my steak was nice and tender. Again, salty where I can feel the salt crystals crunch as I ate it. The service was nice. They were very attentive and welcoming which I appreciate. I'm sad to say but I don't feel it was worth what we paid.

Yelp
Amazing food & very friendly staff. Went there on my anniversary and was met with a decorated table.

Yelp
Thank you Lauren for really showing us what a high end steakhouse experience should be. There has recently been some updates in the dining experience here. I am glad to say the direction overall for is in the correct manner. Although we will miss some of our favorites from the menu we are optimistic about trying some new items. For those who never had a chance to try the carpaccio before it was replaced with the tartare I'm sorry! Ambiance here has never really been an issue, and the portions are just right!

Yelp
Decided to come to SR Prime Steakhouse at Sky River on the way home.. such an exceptional place to eat. Food was excellent. Our server Lisa was so friendly. She was interested in who we are. You rarely find that at a restaurant anymore. Love the decor of the place. It is intimate and cozy. Not too loud which is not like a casino restaurant. 100% recommend for good eats.

Anna P.

Yelp
Mediocre food.Potatos were flavorless. Steak was flavorless too. Steak was also cooked wrong. The exception was the excellent soup! Great server. 2 stars for the server

Yelp
Came here on 2/28/25 with my wife. Beautiful place & great customer service 5 stars in itself. We ordered the lobster mac & cheese & the ribeye (medium rare) to share. When the food came, I was highly disappointed. Steak was overcooked (leather bag status dry) and the lobster mac & cheese that everyone talked about was extremely tasteless. Watery cheese, salt & noodles with a lobster claw. My wife love a well done steak & this is the 1st time she wanted to send it back it was so dry. But I said no because we were on a time crunch. Ended up taking a lot of the food home & throwing it away 2 days later. Bill was about $120. Will I ever go back... maybe.. but probably just to try another steak, no sides.

Yelp
On my first visit to the new Sky River casino in Elk Grove, I also dined at SR Prime Steakhouse for my friend's birthday. We had reservations for dinner for a party of 6, and 4 of us arrived first as two other; including the birthday boy finished up in the casino. Once we arrived at SR Prime Steakhouse we were promptly greeted and escorted to our table, which was to the left after walking in and over looked the main area from the casino. After looking over the menu we ordered several appetizers to enjoy family style like the Parmesan herb fries and beef Carpaccio. And I intimately shared the Lobster bisque with my girlfriend, along with a medium prepared 32 oz. Porterhouse stead. The birthday boy and his wife had the 48 oz. Creekstone Farms Black Angus Tomahawk steak and the 8 oz. Maine Lobster tail. Everything was prepared extremely well and we all were so full at the end. Our waitress came out near of end of our dinner and asked us about dessert. And so my girlfriend and I ended the night by splitting a delicious Affogato. Which is a hot espresso poured over served with a scoop of ice cream; in this case a scoop of Vanilla. Ambiance - a nice setting for a dinner date, or a special occasion. Service - really good and friendly. Food - really good, would definitely check them out again. Price - reasonable for a steak house.

Yelp
Restaurant is in the Casino , very classy decor , service was above average, drinks were awesome, and the food was excellent, we had the tomahawk ribeye and it was delicious, the seafood tower was good (not great ) , but overall I'm looking forward to coming back - if there's a drawback , after going through the casino you'll probably need chemotherapy (awful cigarette smoke) .

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about SR Prime Steakhouse. The food is OK, for the price I'd expect better. I'm not sure why the fish I ordered was served in a bowl of overwhelming tomato sauce. The biggest issue for my family of 4 was the service. The first issue was with the wine our server recommended. I originally ordered a bottle priced around 50$, but then she recommends a different bottle, I took her recommendation thinking it would be around the same price, but it wasn't. It was actually 100$ It wasn't that big of a deal until the second issue, our food order. Our table ordered the seabass, 2 filet mignons, and the lamb. When the food came out, I asked about the temps on the filets to make sure they went to the right person. The food runner said she was able to distinguish the difference between the two by the horseradish sauce added to one. For some reason, one of the filets had an onion. We didn't think much of it. The check came, and I quickly put my card down, and after I was charged, I did a double take at the receipt and noticed a charge for 115$ for waygu. We definitely did not order waygu, but I guess we got one instead of one of the two filets we ordered. I asked another employee, walking by if I could speak to the server. They said she'd be right over. 20 minutes goes by, and she's nowhere to be found. I then asked for a manager, and that's when someone finally got her to come back to our table. When I brought up the issue, she just said, "Oh, I guess I did accidentally put that on there, I'll have my manager take it off," and quickly walks away. I had a hard time believing it was an accident. She had multiple chances to catch the mistake but never did. This is supposed to be a nice restaurant. How many times has this server done this? I won't be coming back to find out.

Yelp
My new favorite steakhouse. I have had the A5 wagyu, filet and ribeye. All of them were great but I prefer the wagyu. I have also had the king crab which was great the first time but not so good the second. Service is always phenomenal as Lisa takes good care of us. We have had every side you can get and they are all fantastic. My personal favorite are the brussels sprouts. The best appetizer we have had is the candied bacon. The inside of the steakhouse is really nice overlooking the casino floor with a great bar. We will continue to come by a few times a year.

Yelp
FIRST TIMER HERE! Beautiful dining area. Service was amazing. Front to Back. Front Reception with Brittany. Amazingly was so helpful with my two reservations. We were a big group of 10 and she was able to sit us as close as possible together. We had drinks at the bar while waiting for tables. Bartenders were both very informative on all the available drinks. Too bad they ran out of the beer my husband and son wanted. Purchasing got to step up game. I had the Touch of Sky which was perfectly chilled, suggested by bartender and exactly what I wanted in sour flavor. Dinner service team: Dominic and his team were amazing. Our server was kind, polite, fun and helpful with the wine and food menu. The team was on top of clearing plates, asking if we wanted more water and bread but not overly interrupting when we are mid conversation with our group. They handled our group very well. I would have given 5 stars but food was good but not great. Appetizers such as the tuna tartare and charred shishito peppers were surprisingly well presented and flavorful. We also ordered salads and Lobster bisque. Let me say that the bisque was presented beautifully but could have more chunks of lobster with maybe 2 pieces of toasted bread to dip. As steak foodie, I love my steak medium rare. We ordered several cuts of steaks and rack of lamb. I ordered a 32 ounce Porterhouse bone in. Now if you order bone in, you have an expectation that closer to bone the rare it gets. Mine was cooked well done so barely any pink more of grey color. Other cuts like the petite filet and NY Strip were cooked to perfection and juicy. We ordered shareable sides of cheese cavatappi, mushrooms and asparagus. All sides were delicious and perfect shareable size. We had no room for dessert but gives us a chance to come back.

Yelp
We were blessed daughter figured out to get a reservation here via open table! Woohoo!!! We were celebrating a belated birthday & anniversary! It was our first time inside here at Sky River Casino despite having lived in Elk Grove over 30 years. Yup we are locals. The vibe was typically Vegas like casino! Beautiful interior & brand new! Yaasss! Food did take a long time to receive but everything tasted good! I had the rib eye, wifey got the rack of lamb & we shared the brussel sprouts. Daughter ordered the oysters & shrimp cocktail. It looked fabulous. SIL ordered the 30 day dry age New York strip & loaded baked potato. And it looked like he enjoyed as he ate up all of his food plus dessert! Bc we were celebrating two special occasions we were given a complimentary dessert both the affogato & mango sorbet. Delicious & refreshing although not super grand. Service was good despite the very long wait for our food. Our water glasses were always refilled at least as we were here at 5 PM until nearly 7 PM. They don't rush you out at all. Come with company you truly enjoy like we did. Be aware this is not a place for eating everyday bc their prices for food were quite exorbitant. We were surely very aware of that. Better to treat yourself for a very special occasion & a very relaxing laidback dinner bc of their slow service. If you can deal with that then come & enjoy. Fresh & new Sky River Casino in Elk Grove is blessed with a decent classy steakhouse which is conveniently close to home. Will we return? Not if their service is always so incredibly slow. And that's what happened that day:(

Yelp
Not really sure why there are so many negative reviews but we wined and dined here recently, and had an exceptional experience! We ordered the following: * Dozen Oysters ($33.00) * Seafood Tower ($72.00) * Tomahawk Steak to Share ($128.00) * Bottle of Roth Cab ($58.00) Everything was perfect. The oysters were absolutely fresh and we were able to mix them up for our dozen. The seafood tower was beautifully presented and came equipped with half of a Maine lobster, crab, oysters, shrimp, and tuna tartare. For our entree, we decided on the Creekstone Farms Black Angus Tomahawk (48 oz.) which was more than enough for four people to share. The steak was cooked at our requested temperature and every bite was so tender -- very addicting and impressive. Bonus: our server, Max, took care of us from beginning to end. He went above and beyond to ensuring the birthday girl had a wonderful experience. If you plan on having dinner here - ask for him. Great menu, awesome service, elegant atmosphere, and an all around fantastic time. Looking forward to returning in the near future for date night. Finally, you can make reservations now or if the visit is impromptu -- bar seating is fair game.

Yelp
We visited SR Prime Steakhouse to celebrate a few recent special occasions! Located inside Sky River Casino, the restaurant is fairly new, just like the casino itself, and you can definitely tell. The interior is bright and spacious, with high ceilings and large chandeliers. Everything is clean and modern, and just FEELS new (if that makes sense), which adds to the elevated atmosphere inside. We arrived when they opened and were seated immediately. We had a reservation (they are now on OpenTable) but it was likely unnecessary; however, would recommend one if you're coming after opening as the restaurant was much more full when we left. The menu consists of classic choices such as steaks, seafood, and various sides. Most of our party ordered a steak/chop and some sides - the portions seemed good and my husband stated his cut was pretty tasty and surprisingly filling. Craving some seafood, I opted for a few choices from the raw bar to try out - the shrimp cocktail and oysters. The shrimp cocktail came plated in a non-traditional way, as if it were a fancy dish, which was unique. The oysters were large, and tasted fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and attentive from beginning to end, and our water glasses were never empty. However, the main issue was that food took an extremely long time to come out. Understandably, they likely needed some time to get the kitchen up and running initially, but we were one of the first tables seated for the night and waited at least 45 minutes. They were so kind as to give us complimentary dessert at the end to celebrate our special occasions, but this unfortunately resulted in MORE waiting (maybe another 15-20 minutes) despite the chosen desserts only being a simple bowl of mango sorbet and an affogato; both desserts were plated very plainly and our waitress poured the espresso into the cup of gelato at our table, so neither required extensive preparation beforehand - perhaps the kitchen just became even more backed up as the night wore on. Overall, service and ambiance were both great - would recommend SR Prime as a good destination for special occasions and date night. We're happy that we checked it out, but due to the fairly standard menu and high prices typical of a steakhouse, it would probably not be somewhere we frequent on a regular basis. I would also make sure to take time into account as it is unlikely to be a quick dinner...be ready to get comfortable!

Yelp
Booked a reservation for two specifically for my cousins 40th b day dinner. My sister had tried the place out for her sister u. Laws birthday and thought that it wasn't bad so I opted to try. I am pretty picky with my steak houses. Arrived promptly for our 6pm reservation. Parking was horrible and it was pouring rain, as expected at a casino and it's rainy season. People were driving frantically in the parking lot either in a rush or drunk, not sure. From the ring entrance, the steak house is to the right, right around the corner. Best to park at the front of the main entrance somewhere. We were sat to the right in a cozy corner against the window where the outdoor seating is. The chairs were massively comfortable. Deep seated and leather? Or pleather? Cut candle sitting on top of corks inside a glass jar. Greeted by a server that started off with the same question for each table "what brings you in tonight? Wrong answer! It should be for the Tomahawk steak!" There was a specific person dropping off our food and another filling out water. He server only came to take our order and checked if we wanted to order anything else. Started off with the Tartare- it was okay. A very big portion for the price. It is an appetizer suited for 4 ppl, a bit much for two of us. It was soy glazed with pickled jalapeños, guacamole and two thin pieces of plantain chips. It wasn't very flavorful. The fish quality tasted okay. Could have been better and more fresh. Ordered the Tomahawk steak- 48 Oz. $128. Between the two of us, we ate 3/4. It was cooked just right. It would have been nice if it came with a little side of greens instead of a while garlic. Perfectly crusted, a little fatty. It wasn't bad, but I have had better Tomahawk. I am glad I wasn't disappointed. Side of Parmesan herb fries- it tasted plain and basic. Could have done without it and maybe ordered a side of salad instead. Two bottles of moscato. The Michelle- had a weird after taste. The other bottle started with an S. Serrano? I forgot but that was good. Each bottle was about $50. Layered chocolate cake- very rich and moist. Missing something... another texture? Or flavor? I looked outside and the outdoor seating is covered which is nice with some patio heaters. I think it would have been nice if there were fire pits outside. Ambiance- a dark setting. Service- not bad being. A new restaurant. No complaints. Food- not bad, wouldn't crave to go back, but not disappointed. Price- reasonable for a steak house being inside of a casino. Comparable in pricing to Ruth Chris.

Yelp
New steakhouse in town & of course I had to try it out! Tried the ribeye cut and it was spectacular! Grilled perfect to my liking at medium rare. Had to try the horseradish crust someone had recommended to me and it gave it a nice kick to each bite. The sides were amazing! The lobster Mac & cheese is super creamy and cheesy. One of the few places that makes it pretty darn good. The sautéed wild mushrooms, omg MUST ORDER! Bursting with so much flavor and accompanies well with steak. Ordered a few appetizers - crab cakes, tuna tartare & salad. All mediocre at best and nothing worth mentioning. Dined in on a Thursday night and it wasn't busy at all. Our server was great and so was all the other staff! Everyone was very friendly and well attentive to our table. Definitely will be back for more food!

Yelp
We had a party of 7 and they accommodated us right away, their big party tables was all booked up as today was the first day of their website portal going live to make reservations online. We had three options to sit out party and did not have to wait long Portions of food was huge, definitely share your steaks and sides with your party so everyone can have a taste of everything. Our waiter Chris was attentive and so was Max at the bar.
