No matter how much I talk about the temple, it will be small, I cannot express it in words. It is considered as the richest temple in the world. There are some special rules for boys and girls regarding dress here. The rule for boys is that white dhoti is worn on the bottom and nothing can be worn on top, this same rule continues for young boys. And the rule for girls is that if a girl is wearing a salwar or kurti with pants, that is, a full dress, then only a white dhoti can be worn on the bottom. Otherwise, you can buy a Saree Saya blouse there and buy that and wear that too.When you see God, you will be able to see him in three parts. That is, he is divided into three parts. First the head, then the body, and finally the feet. To see him very clearly, stand quietly and pray whatever you want. If you girls can, there is an original flower shop opposite that temple. You can buy flowers from there and put them on your head. In the evening, cultural programs are held inside the temple. Taking photos and videos is prohibited, but you can take photos and videos from outside the temple. There are some shops near the temple where you can buy something if you want. Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple I had a very peaceful and divine experience visiting Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. The temple is extremely well maintained and very clean. The architecture is beautiful and reflects the rich tradition and history of Kerala. Strict checking will be done by police twice and cant carry mobile inside Darshan was well organized and the staff managed the crowd properly. Even though there was a queue, the process was smooth and disciplined. The atmosphere inside the temple feels very calm and spiritual. There is a strict dress code, so it’s better to follow it before visiting. Overall, it is a must-visit place for devotees and anyone looking for spiritual peace. I felt truly blessed after the visit.

The temple has fixed visiting hours — open from 4:30 AM till 12:15 PM in the afternoon and reopens in the evening from 4:30 PM. As you enter, the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere instantly surrounds you. Take some time to sit and walk around the temple corridor — it’s a truly beautiful and calming experience that lets you feel the divine energy of the place. This temple is unique, as it is the only temple in India dedicated to Lord Vishnu in a reclining (Anantha Shayana) posture. The darshan is taken through three separate doorways, and the sanctum is lit only by the gentle glow of numerous diyas, giving it a mystical and sacred aura. 🔒 Locker & Entry Rules: • Mobile phones, cameras, and bags are not allowed inside the temple. • Locker facilities are available near the entrance for safely storing your belongings. 👕 Dress Code: • Men: Must wear a dhoti and uparna (shawl). No shirts, T-shirts, or upper garments are allowed inside. • Women: Must wear a saree or traditional set-mundu. Western wear such as pants, jeans, or tops is not permitted. • Traditional attire is mandatory for everyone entering the temple. We visited Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and honestly the temple is very good and peaceful. Personally, I believe all gods are the same, and every god looks divine in their own way. This Swamy also looks beautiful and adorable, especially if you observe carefully. About the Darshan Lord Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is seen in a sleeping posture. • The idol is very long, so darshan happens through three different doors. In the morning, Swamy is visible from around 5 meters distance. In the evening, the distance feels more, but the Swamy looks very calm and cute. You really need to observe deeply to understand the full sleeping posture. Security Tip: Carry only your purse inside the temple. It is better to keep all other belongings in the locker provided for safety and security reasons. ⚠️ Important Notes (Very Useful) 1. Archana Tickets - Not Recommended I purchased 7 archana tickets, but no pooja was performed. So I don't understand why they are issuing these tickets. Better avoid archana tickets. 2. Strict Dress Code (Very Important) • Men: Must wear Puncha (dhoti). ► Upper body: Kanduva or nothing ❌T-shirts, shirts, jeans not allowed • Women: Saree is compulsory ► Girls are not allowed alone without proper dress 👉Please follow dress code strictly, otherwise entry will be denied. Puncha & Kanduvas are easily available near the temple. Once you enter the temple area, there is a shop beside the Amul shop where you can buy puncha and kanduva starting from ₹100, so no need to worry if you don't have them in advance. 3. Special Darshan Not Needed • On normal days, darshan can be completed within 1 hour. • Special darshan is needed only during festival times. 4. Prasadam • Prasadam is available after darshan. 5. Temple Management • Management is not like TTD. • Inside the garbha gudi, there is no proper line system. • Once inside, devotees move freely, and we even took darshan twice. ⏰ Final Tip • Strictly follow temple timings shown on Google Maps. • Plan your visit properly for a peaceful darshan. 🙏 Overall: A divine and unique temple experience. One of the unique things about this temple is that you can actually understand the time of the day by observing the architecture and standing at certain points — a remarkable example of ancient engineering and design. The temple has four main entrances, each leading you into a serene and sacred environment. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and spiritual, offering a beautiful view of the inner sanctum and the surroundings. It truly feels like a holy place where you can experience positive vibes and a sense of connection. Visitors are required to wear traditional attire. For men, wearing a dhoti is compulsory, which adds to the cultural and traditional value of the visit. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the temple, so you must keep them in the lockers provided near the entrance or safely in your car. Parking can be challenging near the temple, especially during peak hours. It’s better to opt for paid parking as it is more convenient and avoids unnecessary stress. It’s also advisable not to take out your car until you finish all your temple-related activities, as traffic can get difficult to manage. The prasadam at the temple tastes very good and feels fresh and blessed. Drinking water facilities are also available inside, making the visit comfortable. Overall, the temple provides a fulfilling spiritual experience and is definitely worth visiting.
