"Saint-Anne Market Guadeloupe's outdoor markets are an important part of daily life and a sight for sore eyes. Fragrant cooking spices compete with colorful bottles of homemade rhum, women in traditional madras head ties smile at passersby, zouk music or gwo-ka drums blast in the background, and the calm Caribbean Sea is the backdrop. Saint-Anne Market, on Grande-Terre Island, is a favorite. It borders a beautiful white-sand beach, steps from a row of casual restaurants and bars."

The same woman are there each Tuesday. You can easily negotiate the price but it’s doesn’t work anytime. Prices are expensive but you can get good artisanal caraibean stuff

Small touristic market. Nothing much to see... At least not on the day I went. A couple of spices stands, some veggies, a few souvenirs not much of artisanal...

The smell of the different spices are special, a nice selection of unusual gifts to pick from. The sellers are very pleasant and not in your face, take time to explore what they are selling. This market is across the road from the beach which is beautiful, water sports are readily available. The beach is free but not serviced with sun beds and umbrellas. If you need shade it can be found. This beach is used by the local people and regular bus services will get you about, if the cruise terminal is what your looking for then there is a direct bus from and to the beach. Can't comment on the bus number or fare. One draw back. Look out for tiny ants. They don't bite but will get everywhere.

The night market was cute, expected more exotic fruits but it was a good way to start our trip to guadeloupe! 👍🏻

Cute little spice market... Relaxed neighborhood... Very friendly and economical. Purchased some spices and the sweet lady gifted me another spice.
