"You could offer to have drinks at your apartment, but you run the risk of sounding presumptuous or anti-social, and your bartending skills are limited to opening screw-top wine bottles and making vodka-sodas with that vodka your roommate keeps in the freezer. Suggest meeting at St Ends in Crown Heights instead. This low-key cocktail bar looks like a randomly decorated apartment, with colorful couches, lounge chairs, and mismatched lights on end tables. It’s a comfortable place to hang out, the drinks are enjoyable and affordable (especially during Happy Hour, which goes until 8pm), and there’s a nice backyard with seats around picnic tables." - Matt Tervooren

"The dimly-lit space at St Ends in Crown Heights feels a little like a furniture boutique, with mismatched couches, lounge chairs, distressed mirrors, and side tables topped with desk lamps. But there’s also a 15-seat marble bar, where you can get some of the best cocktails in the neighborhood (like one with rye, campari, and mole bitters). If you’re not in the mood for a cocktail, they serve wine and beer, too, both of which are discounted during Happy Hour until 8pm. Come here with a date and sit on a couch inside or at a communal table on the patio out back." - Matt Tervooren

Great hangout, wonderful drinks. The cocktail menu had a little something for all tastes with a handful of beers/cider on tap for those who don't prefer hard liquor. The cocktails are $16-18 each and are complex and interesting enough to justify it.

Really lovely spot on Franklin Avenue with a lush interior, comfy Victorian furniture, inviting antique aesthetic, and plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Original homemade cocktails, refreshing beers on tap, and tasty satisfying snacks, like creamy hummus with carrots. Friendly service and chill vibes.

Overall rating: 4.8 The happy hour prices alone. Just go. I had to knock off a few points because I’ve tried going here on a date a few times & unless you don’t like the guy it’s pretty hard. That said, great people watching & just chilling with a group of friends.

The vibe was good. Decently crowded later on a Friday night which is good for the neighborhood. I would say go here if Crown Inn is too crowded. The cocktails are good tasting but super pricey. And they only fill up half the glass for some reason.

Nice neighborhood spot. Prices were pretty good. Drinks we had were great. Our server was attentive. Nice cozy place for early or late drinks with friends. Serves no food so plan to eat before or after. Lots of food spots close by.

GREAT experience; sat in the back patio enjoying the weather and taking in the delish drinks (had the ghost inside - spicy and delicious! ) The space feels cozy and comfortable, but is actually pretty large and sophisticated. Fabulous date night spot and will be back soon to try the many spritzes on the menu.

Do not, I repeat Do NOT order the herded focassia bread! Everything else was good. Heat lamps, good music, crowded but quick service, friendly staff, clean bathroom, but that focassia bread with oil was ridiculous. Take it off the menu. But I guess for $6 its ok?! No
