November 2025 , My second experience here in the past few years. We had a group of 8 for Breakfast Excellent at managing a 15 minute wait time. The young man kept updating us . There was a little bit of a wait for our meals but the food all came out correctly and was hot and satisfying. Home style cooking with a little added perfection. The young lady serving us was friendly and responsive. I will go there again when back in the area.

Just had a birthday celebration today. Excellent in every way. Douglas, our waiter, is a new employee. He did an outstanding job remaining calm with all of our demands. Great food and great drinks. The scones are the best!

They are only open till 3pm and breakfast is available all day. They do have alcohol on site and I was told there is brunch on the weekend. Food was good. I had an omelet which came with your choice potatoes and bread. Service was very good. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their meals. I will go back. I would like to try the brunch.

Been wanting to come here for a decade and finally pulled up. Perfection! Classic diner with crispy bacon and surprisingly crispy french toast! It was so good. Everyone liked their meal, their coffee & their water

First time here. We stopped by trying to find a place for breakfast and we all loved it. I had a meat lovers omelette with potatoes. It takes a while to get seated and for the waitress to get your order, but if you have patience for either this place is good and worth the wait.

What a delightful breakfast place! Had amazing chicken 🍗 and waffles 🧇, fried okra, and fry bread! So delicious! Super friendly service! Lots of parking! Seated right away! Did not play pool but they have a nice table! 🎱 Will definitely go again!

Beyoncé was a great server. Enjoyed the upbeat and modern vibe inside. The decorator did a great job and the music was awesome.

OK So... I was watching a Youtube channel about tasty treats and unique places to visit when in St George and area. The woman on the screen had the UTAH SCONE....I was like, whoa, that looks amazing... But I live in Las Vegas and rarely travel due to my job. My brother took 2 weeks off and says, take a few days off and we will go wherever--and I thought--UH UTAH? Utah scones? I did some research and St Helen's restaurant has the best in the area. And wow.... Super cute restaurant. Clean. Friendly. They had a bar w/drinks, coffee, a pool table. I wanted to eat breakfast but being so far from home and not having a room, I didn't want to chance it with my never ending tummy issues and so it was just the 4 scones (2 for me, 2 for my brother) HOLY CRAP. SO GOOD. Seriously. Go. Order scones, not too many because you know, I will be back soon but order a few or one...one is good....

It's a good sign when the city firefighters are here eating weekend breakfast! And coffee creamer other than half & half!

Under new management, this cafe is worth another try! We've had breakfast here twice this summer. Today I had the Cobb omelette with the most amazing sourdough toast! The omelette was hot and yummy, and you can ask for the hash browns to be regular or crispy. Our wait person was great and welcoming.

We had Breakfast here, great price and great food. The service was good and the place was clean! We will definitely go back. Make sure you get one of their yummy scones!

Food was great and brought home scones. We love St Helens however they already added gratuity and marked us as a "16person" when we were only two people. Please check your receipt so that you aren't being scammed into tipping more! Shame you don't trust people to tip you.

It was my birthday party and I chose St Helens because I come here often and it has reminded me of a similar sports restaurant I went to when I lived in Colorado. The bloody Mary's are fabulous and the scones are to die for.. the waiter was awesome and there is virtually no wait time for good service..

With all of the great restaurants that serve breakfast in St. George/Washington, don't bother coming here. They put a ton mushrooms in an omelette that did not have mushrooms listed as an ingredient. The hashbrowns and toast were served absolutely cold. The coffee tastes like water.

The food was great, but Isaac made it even better. He was cheerful, energetic and helpful. He made the experience so much better!

Food was good it was St Patrick's Day so I had to try the Corned Beef which was great so good that they ran out and had to cook more brisket.

I came there in August for dinner at 4:00pm and when I approached the door, sadly, read a small, handwritten note that said "Summer Hours 11:00-3:00pm." Being handicapped and with Utah's heat, I wish I had some notice given prior to my arrival. Today I called the Manager and she was very rude, which left me with a poor impression of the restaurant. Her defensive behavior was very unprofessional.

We've been regulars at St. Helens as long as I can remember it being here. At least 10-15 years I think, maybe more. It's always a favorite. We saw the ownership change happen, and I've been so impressed at how smooth it has been. We love it before, but the way the new owners have been managing it really shows a special kind of love and dedication. It's one of the only places in town you can get a dive bar experience, and certainly one of the only places to get the dive bar experience AND excellent food. The menu is simple, American Southwest classics done correctly. The service is always good, and the prices are fair. (I will add one complaint which is the Monte Cristo. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and it was the only disappointment)

Popped into this place on Sunday around 11 AM. It was pretty busy, but the wait was not too long! It's very much breakfast café/sports bar all in one inside- interesting but why not! We were seated after about a 15 minute wait where we ordered waters. Our waitress came around again about 10 to 15 minutes later and asked us if we were ready to order food and we did, but we had not yet gotten our waters so we had asked again. Another 10 minutes or so goes by and the waitress that was bringing our waters had an accident and dropped them all on the floor. Unfortunately, after that was cleaned up, we still did not get our waters. Our waitress was very kind and finally brought us our waters with our meal. The food was very good. My fiancé had the chicken, fried steak and eggs and I had the steak and eggs, the steak was cooked well, and my fiancé said that the gravy was amazing! I would definitely stop by here again hopefully a less busy time!

We had a group of 23 and every breakfast order was correct, quick and great tasting. The scones/Indian fry bread was a big hit.

Went here for breakfast and it was fantastic. They were very busy but the service was excellent. The food was very good and they don't scrimp on portions. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant.

First let's start by saying they have gluten free bread! I had a hamburger and it was very tasty. Our server Tayana was awesome friendly and attentive. It was nice to see the change in the restaurant, new table covering and made a nice fist impression. The floor could use changing and would made another world of difference. Definitely we will be back!

Came in for lunch. Now they serve lunch starting at 11 am. Still serves breakfast all day! Looks like they have more consistent meals and staff. Place was full. Burger and Chicken Wrap are very good. Thanks to those that made our lunch great!

Great salads! Love this place! Very large selection of food! Always great service! I come just for the Cobb Salad! The breakfast is outstanding!

Mmmmm! Great Cobb omelette and farm potatoes. Our server Teresa was spot on. Fun place to watch a game and have some laughs.

Overall friendly service and reasonable food. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the place has a bunch of tables and a bar area with high tables. Had: - an omelet - large and delicious - corn dogs. So good. - pastrami sandwich - meat was so good - bratwurst - solid - grilled cheese - really good Fries were excellent also and overall was delighted by this place. Only issue was we were the only ones there and the food took a while and came out a bunch of different times. Anyway, just what we needed.

Staff are friendly and helpful! Their chicken fried steak is the best! Jersey, you have a beautiful smile!

Overpriced, small portions, poor value. Uses cheapest white bread they can find for toast. Portion sizes are a joke. Don't waste your time. Omelette I ordered was too small for price paid..

We have been coming here for a few years since moving down to St. George and have honestly not been disappointed. We went for breakfast yesterday (Sunday Jan 21) and I must say, it was the best experience yet. Teresa, our server was very conscientious and so knowledgeable about the menu. She kept checking on us but not in an annoying way. She did forget one of our items but when brought to her attention, she was so apologetic and immediately got the item. The ambiance is nice too, the white tablecloths make a nice difference. Thanks to the staff for being so attentive.

The service is great and the music is songs I have heard which is cool and last but not least the food is magnificent.

Food was great but limited choices. My first 2 choices were out of stock. Drinks were ok, prices were fair.

Meal was terrible. Cook is not a cook at all. Waitress great. Asada tough over cooked and greasy. Navajo taco great. Cook wore no hat, hair net or beard net. New owners not making the grade.

I had high hopes for this place as my parents said it was a great breakfast spot. One of the two servers had the most abrasive and uninviting personality ever. Like she was put out to take our order. Nothing screamed friendly about her at all. The other waitress was very warm and friendly tho. The food is mediocre at best. I ordered the small breakfast burrito. The underneath was soggy, there was no sausage as stated and it was bland. The country potatoes we very greasy as well. The grouchy waitress brought my daughter the wrong toast. We didn't bother to ask for the right kind from her as we felt she might spit in our food because she was so grouchy. The friendlier waitress passed by and she fixed the situation. This place has potential but they certainly need to hire better cooks and more friendly wait staff. Unlikely I'd return.

For $18 I'm seriously bummed on the food/taste. For just one sandwich and some fries put in a take out box!I could have uber-eats something else at that price.

Great place with great quality food. We visit often and it's very welcoming. The food is always very consistent and delicious.

Red and green salsa with colorful chips. Tasty. Great beer selection. Do not order the Margaritas. You'll be disappointed at how water down it tastes.

Went there for Corn Beef & Cabbage. Waitress never told us they were out until she brought us our drinks. No signs up. Very disappointed !! 3 other couple walked out after us. If you're out on the most Iris day of the year please put up a sign so people don't waste your time as well as your patrons.

I stopped in for the first time as I was just passing through. The staff was friendly and the food was good, however my card was charged for more than what I put on my receipt. I always round my tip up to the nearest dollar. Not a big deal for the pocket book, but a disappointment on ethics. I don't recommend staying away, but I do recommend keeping tabs on what they charge your card.

The only thing I like about this place is the scone.. which is actually FRY BREAD. The menu is lackluster & the sausage biscuits n gravy need more flavor & more sausage.

I used to love this place and was a very regular customer. The last time I was there the breakfast was awful. This wasn't the first time I've had a bad order. I spoke to the owners daughter about it and she was very arrogant. I won't ever go back unless this restaurant changes ownership and she doesn't work there anymore.

Mushroom burger with fries very reasonable price . service was great , try it you will like it

Been traveling to Utah from Long Beach California for about 4 years now. My wife and I found this awesome little spot 4 minutes from her parents house. Great food and beer. Lovely environment awesome people so much so we look forward to going back. Thank you St.Helen's Restaurant & Sports Bar

Horrible customer service. Keeps their door locked and then employees blatantly ignore customers at the front door. Watched several employees look at the front door where people were knocking and continue to walk by. Unfortunately, the two employees that were actually working hard did not make up for this. Watched five parties in the hour we were there attempt to come in and return to their cars as they could not get in. There is no signage that you need to call the restaurant to get in. Had three occasions of employees come to apologize for the wait due to new management and employees, but that does not excuse rude behavior.

I've heard of this place before but finally I decided to come eat here. Over all I loved it ... the porkchop and eggs wore delicious, my husband order the Philly steak sandwich and it was so good. the lemon drop I order to drink was even better. Great service and the place looks cozy and clean.. my waitress suley was funny and profesional. I would recommend checking it out.

Nothing too splashy here, but there are a lot of good things too. I went for breakfast to recharge after Black Friday shopping and a good sign, the place was packed. It took about three minutes for us to get a seat and order. The inside definitely needs to be upgraded. The booths are ancient and your seat will move like a mechanical bull anytime someone moves in the booth behind you and it also feels like you're sitting on an airplane wing. But back to the food! I got the chicken fried steak and eggs with a scone and it was so good. It wasn't too breaded and it wasn't over cooked. The eggs were fine and the scone was out of this world with the honey butter it comes with. If you're in the St. George/Washington area, this is a great local place to check out for breakfast.

Great home style prepared meals at reasonable price$. Anything off their breakfast menu are delicious! Eggs Benedict and the specials are my Dad & I "go to" choices. Their coffee is delicious and their service is friendly! It's a quaint small place but that's what makes it cozy and inviting. Been to MANY choice places in St George for breakfast/lunch/dinner and in the end St Helen's is on the top choice list we come back to. Better food than Black Bear Diner and the Hash House down the street. Not the greatest of parking but there is a gravel lot across the street from the restaurant for more convenience. Don't knock St Helen's until you try it! You'll be coming back for more-I guarantee it!!

Yep, this place was just what we needed! Adorable, not packed, great service, served mimosas, great food, outdoor seating. We'll be back for sure!

I been going there for 10 plus years the last two times was not a good experience I had to request twice for my food to be fixed the second order was worse then the first I will not suggest to visit them
