"Supplying the dough for our DIY pizza-oven night, this bakery impressed us with how delicious the base was as we experimented with toppings." - Amber Port
"Outside major cities, excellent bakeries are rare but St Ives Bakery is a standout: a must‑visit for sourdough breads, cakes, and its famous laminated cruffins; the savory pasties with fillings like steak and Stilton or veggies and cheddar make a perfect walking lunch, and the line down the block is absolutely worth it." - ByChris Morocco
Have been a St Ives bakery fan for 10 years but disappointed with my last two pasties 😭 Flaky steak is my obsession but on two separate days this holiday they’ve been seriously lacking in meat. I ate 80% of my pasty today before I found any 🤦🏼♀️ Super disappointed for £5.45.

Do you like flour-based food? Then you’re in for a treat! I wouldn’t miss a single bite of this dough — you made the right choice. You have to try it: the best bread and patties ever!

Also love their pasty's and cruffins.

People queue to get in. The sourdough loaf is superb. The cruffins look amazing, but I didn't try them.
The stake pasty is really good.

Wonderful bakery serving freshly made treats! It does get busy but queues move quickly.
The steak pasty, (jam and custard filled) cruffin and Bakewell blondie we shared were all delicious and would highly recommend.

Polite helpful Staff and the best focaccia ! In fact everything we got here was exquisite. Would recommend a cruffin and their breads.

We visited this place for the first time on our road trip around Cornwall. Our expectations were high, but after trying some of their famous pastries, we were quite disappointed. Everything tasted average. The cruffin was okay, nothing special, and the cinnamon bun/roll was very dry and not very cinnamony. Would not come back.

First time having a flaky steak!
This one didn’t disappoint surely!
Will be a staple when visiting Newquay i think :)

Yelp
They didn't have the signs outside their shop saying "best pasty award" or "proper Cornish pasty" - so we thought it would be good
And it was.
We've been on a mission to find the best pasty in Cornwall and these were definitely top 3.
They also do some really good sweets.
The guy in there was nice too. Head there for a cheese and bacon pasty and some
Rocky road.

Yelp
Best pasties meringues and croissants, the traditional Cornish flaky pasty is the one to go for, they have others too , even for vegetarians.

Yelp
Great pasties and pastries! They make the bag go transparent so they must be good.
Really liked the custard tart!

Yelp
Pre ordered a large quantity of pasties and sausage rolls for our Beaver & Cub Scouts' day trip to St Ives. Not only were the pasties and sausage rolls wonderful, the service was excellent.
Being Cornish, we all know a good pasty from a bad one, and these are definitely good pasties. Thank you, St Ives Bakery people.

Yelp
First-class meat pasties, cakes and scones.
The shop is on the corner where The Digey meets Fore Street. It's dog-friendly.
