The 7 Best Doughnuts In London - London - The Infatuation

"Order this: The strawberry jam classic. St. John’s doughnuts are the Chanel suit of the London doughnut world. Both are intrinsically classy and will never go out of style. When it comes to fillings, this Covent Garden bakery—tied to the legendary British restaurant of the same name—has got you covered with chocolate, vanilla custard, and our, personal favourite, strawberry jam. Because we all know that you can’t beat a classic. You can also find the top-tier doughnuts on the counter at their Spitalfields restaurant, and at their bakeries in Borough and on Druid Street." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak

The Best Outdoor Restaurants In Covent Garden - London - The Infatuation

"St. John’s Neal’s Yard bakery isn’t a wine and dine affair—there are a couple of benches outside for you to sit down and have a tender moment with your raspberry doughnut or egg sandwich—but that doesn’t make it any less useful in an area severely lacking in top-tier grab and go options. The treats are more sweet than savoury and it’s perfect for a doughy midafternoon pick-me-up." - team infatuation

I’m so astonished by all the negative reviews… This place is AMAZING!!! Great location, tables (with chairs!) in front, great selection of bake goods (both sweet and savoury), delicious coffee and, most importantly, the most outstanding customer service! I’ve been repeatedly served by the wonderful young lady Caitlin and I am honestly so so so grateful for all her warmth. Thank you! ❤️ I’ll certainly be back. Please, make your day and pass by this place. And again, on repeat!..

I had the chocolate doughnut, which I had been looking forward to because of all the good review videos online. However was extremely disappointed once I had the doughnut, the flavor was underwhelming and the chocolate had a weird distinct taste. Additionally I wanted to eat in, and there were chairs inside for eating in however the lady at the till refused..like come on how do you expect a customer to eat in. Also wanted to try their custard doughnut but they ran out

St. JOHN Bakery was on my bucket list but we didn't plan to try since all of their three locations were far from our destinations. We visited the one at Borough Market by accidentally getting off at the wrong underground station to Borough Makert. The decor is humble, simple & narrow-spaced and it's easy to miss if you don't pay attention. The options were limited and there were only three flavors of their signature cream puff. We got one Vanilla Cream Puff to share and it was decent but not really special or delicate as its reputation. It's not worth a detour, but you could give it a try if you are in the neighborhood.

Walked in and got the chocolate, vanilla, and raspberry jam doughnuts. Didn’t get to eat them immediately unfortunately, but even when not warm and a few hours after purchase, the doughnuts had great fillings with strong flavors, great texture, and a nice sugar coating too. Really reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend.

How have I not tried this bakery before?! Please do not make the same mistake as I did - do not avoid the perfection you were missing in your life. Their bakes are divine! Tried minced pie and .. well, now that I eat Mitchelin-Star-Worthy one no other ones will taste as good. Cannot wait to try more of their creations. Also, have you noticed (don't know if it's in every branch) they have their beer! I bought Eccles Stout to indulge on. Fabulous!

Bakery items were excellent. Coffee was just ok. Nice convenient stop for a quick breakfast.

Small, but great to know that there is one near Borough, I've never actually tried this one, but I am very faithful to the Spitalfields branch. Their donuts are the best.

The best Eccles cakes on the planet, they might be £4.50 but worth every penny, rich succulent and great for sharing.
