Run by the St. Johns Center for Opportunity, this market showcases 80+ small businesses and strong food access programs. Frequently promoted by Travel Portland and community groups, it reflects North Portland’s creative, neighborly spirit.
I always walk right past this straight to downtown! They close at 2 so be there by 1 if you expect your selection on crisp greens. The vendors do an excellent job here. I love sampling and picking our fresh produce for one or two meals during the week. EBT is accepted. Prices are reasonable and quality is superb. The sense of community it brings is lovely and it helps smaller artisan vendors promote their more expensive quality items while encouraging the urban farming movement in St. John’s. I went this morning again solo— get your butts out of bed and get some food! Dos Hermanos Bakery and Macintosh Hill Maple Works are a must.

There is something for everyone here at the St John's Farmers Market. It's absolutely worth the trip. There are so many knowledgeable and passionate vendors. And each Saturday offers something different as well as the staple vendors who returned from previous weeks.
The best thing is the EBT match program. Spend $20 getting additional $20 free!
Check out the information booth for more information or to use your EBT benefits.
It is a little bit difficult to find. If you're having problems ask someone and they will point you in the right direction.

Pipsqueak Nursery (Adam) is our favorite vendor, so lucky to have him at the market! Best heirloom tomatoes and fruit — we look forward to all of his produce all year!
