Today i witnessed something very uncomfortable and honestly sad. A mother stepped out into the lobby with her crying baby and she was trying to sooth her and she was struggling. The baby was having a bad moment as many babies do. But she did what is asked of us before the mass begins. One of the helpers in the lobby went up to her and pretty much kicked her outside. You read correctly. He told her to leave the church completely. Im sorry but that is wrong on so many levels. I have heard many times before the mass begins how this church is pro life, pro family and pro children. Im sorry to say but what he did is neither of those. That us just telling us other moms that we are not welcomed, that our children who are the future are not welcomed. That mother was trying her best to sooth the baby and they should offer her help not tell her to go outside. I have seen that mom many times during sunday mass with her 2 small children and her baby normally by her self with her children. The women and young helpers in the back have always stepped in and help her when they see her struggling. Even some strangers in the pew next to her have helped her. Which is amazing. Comunity helping a mom teach her children faith and the word of God. Along with good deeds.Which is no easy task. What i saw today was horrible. That mother is a better women than i, because i would have snapped at him. Luckily she was seated with family or friends today and her other kids stayed inside with them or she would have had to go to the lobby and the outside with all three kids. I even think i saw tears in her eyes when she found the courage to walk back in. I wouldn't blame her if she had.Im not 100% sure on that last part because i didn't want to stare at the poor women. This honestly discourages me greatly and brakes my heart. Things like this are what push ppl to leave our faith. We need to have more empathy and compassion. Do better st Joseph manor
