Bamboo Room, Three Dots and a Dash’s new bar, mixes high-end rum drinks | Eater Chicago

"A 22-seat, intimate bar-within-a-bar in River North converted from the private event space to the right of the main bar, designed to give rum-cocktail fans a more refined yet unpretentious experience. Open Thursday through Sunday, the room accepts walk-ins but encourages reservations via Tock for two- and three-drink packages; two roaming servers who also act as bartenders provide extra attention and pour drinks tableside. Guests are greeted with an amuse-bouche-style pineapple daiquiri poured over Japanese-style shaved ice. Most cocktails hover around $12, though rare two-ounce pours approaching $200 will be available alongside a deep rum library that includes vintage St. Lucia and Martinique bottles and rums from Cuba, Jamaica and France. The menu is split into daiquiris, stirred drinks and classic Tiki selections, with large-format offerings like Missionary’s Downfall served in a pineapple and creative cocktails such as the Chancer in the Aloha Shirt (coconut-fat-washed malt whiskey) and Rum and Ting (homemade Ting, Jamaican rum, mezcal and jerk spices, force-carbonated to order). Some pours are presented in vintage Tiki mugs from famous closed bars, and the space will eventually host classes, guest bartenders, distillery showcases and special events." - Ashok Selvam

We had a really nice experience with the bamboo rafting. Guide (Ahmed aka Lazarus) was experienced and very knowledgeable . It was a high point of our trip. Extremely beautiful.

The rafting experience was lovely. I didn't give it a full 5 star rating because we no one was at the front to receive us when we arrived and we had to wait long. However, it was a unique and tranquil experience. You get to enjoy nature and beautiful views. My favourite part was when we stopped at the bar which was the highlight of it all.

We had great fun on the raft. Simon, our captain, was very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. Tour comes with drinks and the chance to sample some local fruits. We ended the tour sampling a coco loco - one to try! Our driver kindly picked us up from the hotel and dropped us in Marigot Bay on request.

Must-do activity while visiting St. Lucia!! This was such a fun and relaxing way to enjoy nature and learn about the region and its ecology. The scenery was breathtaking. From the mangrove tunnel, to the Carribean beach at the end. And, there's a FANTASTIC bar you can stop at and get a quick drink with views of the ocean.

We had a relaxing time rafting down the Roseau river at St Lucia Bamboo Rafting. One of the top tips to do while visiting St. Lucia. A leisurely trip with our guide pointing out the different scenery and wildlife as well as the mangroves near the end. Once you get to the bay you can go to the beach and then you get taken back to the starting point on the raft being towed by boat.

I didn't enjoy this ride for 150ec...I was really expecting more. Its was just a ride down the river with not much to see and refreshment with a 10 minute walk on the beach we docked on
