After months of elusivness and not being able to catch them open, I really wanted this place to be good - and it wasn't bad, but it didn't compare to other recently open burger joints.
I thought the fact that it wasn't a cookie cutter "smash burger" joint would play into it's favor with me, but it didn't.
The burger was over salty, lacking any distinct flavor that set it apart from other burger joints.
There was only one guy working, and he was nice enough, but the service was pretty slow.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the gritty feel of the restaurant felt like St. Marks place should, and the music the restaurant had playing was top notch.
I'd be willing to give it another shot, but with Pete's around the corner, Butter burger down the block, 900 7th Street Burger locations, and Gotham burger within a reasonable distance, this spot gave me no reason to choose them over the massive competition.
