I’ve had the pleasure of hosting my book club at St. Noir Café twice now, and each time has been an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, the coffee and food are fantastic, and most importantly, the customer service is top-notch. A huge thank you to the owners—Sam, Ava, Corey, and Dylen—for not only letting us hold our events here, but for creating a space that truly feels like a beacon of hope in the community. Their kindness and commitment shine through in everything they do, and it makes St. Noir so much more than just a café—it’s a gathering place where people feel valued and inspired. If you’re in New Orleans and looking for a spot that combines great drinks, cozy vibes, and genuine hospitality, look no further than St. Noir Café. 🌟

Absolutely love this place. Black owned + Amazing vibes. They provide laptop trays and stands on each table and seat so no matter where you sit you can get work done. Matcha is off the chain also their pastries are delicious. The music they play is perfect so I don’t even need headphones most of the time. I will say it’s a social space so it’s louder than your local Starbucks. If you need the quiet I’d recommend a library.

After seeing the iced matcha drink on Tik Tok I decided to check this place out. I came here on a Saturday morning and they were very busy but the line moved pretty fast. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly. The banana bread and the Iced Matcha latte was delicious. The only con is parking. It was frustrating looking for parking in the area most of it is street parking.

Google
Stopped I here for a quick cup of coffee and this was a whole vibe. Places to sit and do work, it was quiet. The coffee was amazing and who knew there was such a thing as a praline croissant, New Orleans did. They will put a praline on anything. If you are in New Orleans this is a must see and do.

The attention to detail in this cafe is at the highest level. The interior is beautiful and no expense was spared. The atmosphere has a Parisian-African vibe. This is a high-end cafe and the service and food also do not disappoint. A welcome addition to the St. Roch neighborhood !

I love the vibe inside with the artwork and classic style. Music is played using vinyl records. I tried an iced matcha which was very good. Along with this, I had an egg and cheese pastry which was good as well.

Google
One of the best tasting Matcha that I’ve had and I’ve had hundreds of them. There was a very great and interesting taste to their Matcha that was on their specialty menu. It was so smooth, almost like a floral taste. It was also subtlety creamy in a way, perfect balance of Matcha and milk flavors. I highly recommend and would come back.

Google
Truly "A Cafe' Sanctuary"! St.Noir is such a VIBE! Everything from the atmosphere, to the deliciously fresh pastries, to the tasty drinks...St.Noir is more than a coffee shop, it's an EXPERIENCE! It's the perfect place to just chill and read a book, get some work done, or just grab a coffee and vibe out! It's my favorite place to be!

Yelp
What's not to love? Such a cozy, at-home feeling coffee shop. The vibes hit you before you even walk in the door but once you step inside it really gives! I was so torn on what to try because I've heard good things about their matcha and the menu looks delicious. But given my previous experiences with matcha, i opted out. I went with the seasonal latte (spiced caramel apple) and it was soooo good! The place was pretty busy, but the single barista did her thing! She was quick and courteous. I sat at the bar to enjoy my goods and take in the scenery. The art and decor is so beautiful and inspiring. I also love the fact that although the space is intimate and there were a lot of people, it was not too loud or overstimulating. Overall, 10 out of 10- I can't wait to come again!

Yelp
Coming from California, I even think their prices are high! $10 for a matcha is wild. I won't even pay that much for a specialized matcha spot in SF! It's insanely quiet when I first walked in, more like a library than a coffee house. Limited seating. It's obviously a place of work/study for a lot of folks. The staff are there. Not energetic or overly friendly. Just there doing their job. They have some pastries and specialty drinks. The decor is well thought out and classic. Never can go wrong with black, white and gold. It was a good try but not my cup of tea. And the hunt for a good coffee shop continues...

Yelp
I really love this spot! It feels so homely here. As a Black woman with a deep love for Soul and R&B music, I can tell you that this spot's playlist truly speaks to my soul and sparks such nostalgia in me. Honestly, I know most people just see it as a place to grab coffee, but there's something about this area and the space that completely brings out the creativity in me. I genuinely love this spot, and I truly hope and pray they continue to stay booked and busy!

Yelp
The cafe is so cute on the inside and it smells great! I came in for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon. There was a cafe special of a lavender latte on display, so I ordered one of those. It was steaming hot and the lavender flavor was strong and tasty! I got my latte to go, but I'd definitely return to sit in and enjoy the space!

Yelp
Walking into St. Noir Coffee Shop is an experience in itself--the aromas immediately wrap around you, setting the perfect tone. The space is beautiful, warm, and inviting, which explains why most of the seats are usually taken. There is some outdoor seating, but with this NOLA weather, I'll take the cool inside any day. I usually stick with a simple black coffee, but the menu has a wide variety of drinks--and even wine--for those looking for something different. The staff is always friendly, and Ale keeps things moving with drinks coming out quickly. Whether you're meeting someone for business, catching up with a friend, knocking out some work, or just sitting down with a good book, this is a great spot to be. St. Noir really nails the balance between a neighborhood hangout and a polished coffee shop

Yelp
"We dress a certain way. We walk a certain way. We talk a certain way. We, we paint a certain way. We, we make love a certain way, you know? All of these things we do in a different, unique, specific way." -- Dr. Barbara Ann Teer My experience at St Noir felt exactly like this quote. From my latte to the music to even the bathroom every detail is intentional, exceptional, and full of care. This is a Black-owned café in New Orleans, and you can feel that spirit in everything from the curated merch to the energy of the space. It's not just coffee, it's culture, creativity, and community poured into every corner. So the next time you're wondering "where should we go?!" -- the answer is simple: St Noir.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere, incenses were burning with vibing music. Line was 5 deep but one person working she did her thing. She was very polite and efficient in her job. I only had a cold brew with oat milk and vanilla syrup. Ask for one pump- mine was overly sweet and I got the large cup. I will be back to try out the "night time vibe." Supporting my local community is important to me.

Yelp
The lattes are incredible!!! The ambiance, art and service was so refreshing. No stress, just lattes! We will return!

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance! I'm so sad this place opened after I graduated. I could definitely see this as being one of my go to spots because the hours are great. They do not close until 8pm. The vibe and decor are gorgeous. The seating is great and generous. The tables on the back wall all have computer stands on them to place your laptop or device and adjust height, which I thought was super cool. I ordered an iced matcha latte sub oak milk with sugar free vanilla. Price was $8.47 plus I added a dollar tip. I can see that being expensive for every day consumption, but I do view matcha as a treat. The prices on the menu seemed super reasonable, and they also offer small bites, wine and champagne! Overall, can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I like the concept, but it seemed lot too much was going on the day I visited. I believe an event was about to start, but most of the customers seemed confused as of to what was happening. Seating is ok but no true privacy around conversations. Ambiance is nice and cozy though. My matcha was good as well. 50/50 on me returning, but I'm quite sure this is a spot on vibe for someone else. Wishing the best of luck!

Yelp
St. Noir Cafe had an awesome coffee shop vibe during my recent Monday morning visit. Employees and customers alike were friendly with me and each other. Also offers cocktails in the evening.

Yelp
Black Excellence makes me so proud. I fell in love with the calm and peaceful atmosphere and the amazing staff. A round of applause for the espresso martini and the recommendation of adding the white chocolate oat milk. That herb egg and cheese is heaven sent: flavorful and filling. They have a regular customer in me.

Yelp
I finally got my chance to visit St. Noir and on Juneteenth! I'm always happy to support a black and woman owned business but it was a special day to do so. I was on a morning bike ride and this was my first stop. I had an iced chai with oat milk and an apple danish. Both were just the fuel I needed to keep riding and exploring the city. The atmosphere was very chic and relaxing even though the space itself was very busy with patrons at nearly all of the tables and in line ordering. I could definitely see myself working from here for a couple hours every week. I'll definitely be back soon.

Yelp
The vibe is on point. The staff is attentive, and the beverages--yum. From bubbles to brew St. Noir has a treat for you. Bring a book, a bag or a buddy you can't miss popping into this hidden jewel. Tucked away off St. Roch the coffee and more spot will soothe the soul and satisfy your tastes. Seating is varied and flexible, WiFi available, nice windows and plants add for a relaxed aesthetic that inspires. A cool addition to the St. Roch Market area. I'll be stopping in more often.

Yelp
This place had such cool vibes! St Noir Cafe is located in the middle of the Bywater Neighborhood and it's a really charming coffee shop. I got Matcha with Strawberry Sweetener and it was made perfectly. I also love the artistic vibes of this place and there's plenty of seating and good wifi to be able to get work done. They are also open until 8pm which makes it great since so many cafes in the city close super early!

Yelp
Five stars across the board. The vibes are absolutely amazing. I really love the decor! It's a great place to come to relax with a drink and listen to some music.. connect with some locals.. or sit in a corner and work.. there's also outdoor seating as well..The owners are so down to earth and welcoming, as well as the staff. We tried one of the signature drinks with matcha. It was super refreshing and flavorful. I also love that this coffee shop is black owned as well. Definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
$9 for an okay matcha is insane LOL but lovely cozy vibes to wfh or do work/ study inside. lov the aesthetic indoors. coffee was better and more reliable in my opinion. matcha wasn't terrible but not my favorite especially considering the price ahhh

Yelp
Dope Vibes, loved the music and ambiance... Very welcoming and interactive. The coffee didn't disappoint.

Yelp
If you get the chance, Go visit St.Noir coffee sanctuary in New Orleans located next to St.Roch Market. This black owned coffee shop has only been opened a few weeks but has quickly become a favorite of mine! Good music, coffee (try the cookie butter latte), wine and light bites! The service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely be back. They are open until 8pm! #NOLABlackBusiness

Yelp
I sat outside the establishment in my car for about 6 minutes, eating my grapes, because the place looked closed. I saw maybe 8 people come out during those 6 minutes and started thinking, "Wait... is this a club?" It clearly wasn't--it was the middle of the day--but chile, this is New Orleans... anything goes. WHO KNOWS! Anyway, me and my bag of anxiety decided to walk in--and I was in awe. The place is beautiful, but man, seeing all those faces that looked like mine? So refreshing. And I'm not exaggerating, lmao--anybody I made eye contact with smiled at me I LOVED IT!!!! Easily became my new favorite coffee shop! Oh, and the woman at the counter? So soft and vibrant. She was beautiful, in these stunning garments that complimented her skin perfectly. YOU BETTER WEAR THAT ORANGE, GIRL!!!! I planned to stay only 30 minutes... ended up staying almost two hours. Oh yeah--and the coffee? SO GOOD. Didn't have to add nothing extra. Strong too. Lol.

Yelp
Per all the other reviews this little spot is definitely a hit. That espresso martini so fire and all the baked goods were perfection. All it needs is a cold brew old fashioned added to the menu. Definitely returning!
google avatar

Yelp
The drinks were so delicious and tasted gourmet. We asked for the strawberry scone warmed up and it was perfectly crumbly and not overly sweet. We loved how alcohol was available making it the perfect all day cafe. The seating is so comfy and cute, I would love to spend a work day there.

Yelp
This spot was amazing. A hidden gem for sure. Love the coffee, matcha, and service was impeccable & fast. The vibes was just the right touch. Where you can relax, work, study, have a small meeting, or you can just sit and enjoy the ambiance. Black owned and everything is made with black love. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
This black-owned cafe just officially opened a few days ago and it's safe to say, I'm a fan. I'm not affiliated or sponsored by them but I've already been a few times and I gotta say I've really enjoyed coming! All the owners are super cool and from what I've seen, they have a great staff. The space itself is well done and decorated quite nicely. Everyone is laid back but very welcoming; definitely my cup of tea (see what I did there.) The food menu is constantly evolving; I enjoyed what I had (see photos). Definitely worth a visit! Or two. Or three. Come on by, I'll probably be here; and if you see me, don't be shy!

Yelp
If your native to NOLA or just visiting, allow me to put you up on a hidden gem in the heart of New Orleans. St Noir Cafe is a fantastic cafe with a vibe all its own. When you enter the front door you immediately feel at home with the warm decor and pleasant coffee aromas. The staff are eager to assist and will accommodate those discerning connoisseurs. The coffee options and creative blends are always on point and very consistent. The pastries are fresh and the chicken salad croissant is a must have (trust me). The owners are wonderful people who are always present to make your experience memorable. Absolutely one of my favorites spots morning or afternoon. I highly recommend you come in for the coffee and stay for the vibe. Well done St Noir

Yelp
Based off of my recent experience I'm a bit surprised by the high reviews. The service was not great. The person taking my order was not very welcoming and honestly just seemed like he didn't want to be there. I ordered two iced matcha lattes and waited until they called my name, but the person who took my order somehow got my order wrong because they gave me two regular iced lattes. I politely told them I had actually ordered two matcha lattes. I patiently waited for them to redo my order, and I noticed the same person who took my order was making them and was basically scraping the almost empty jar to make the matchas. I didn't say anything, but when they were ready I could tell they weren't going to have strong matcha flavor because so little was used. He also used an insane amount of syrup so they were waaay too sweet, we ended up throwing them out. It's a shame because the ambience is cool, but I don't think I'll be returning.

David P.

Yelp
We stayed close and to be good patrons to the neighborhood we came here a couple of times. The quality of the coffee and pastries was high the service was not. Just saying guys. Seems like too many chefs and under motivated staff. You can wait a LONG time for coffee. Still recommend. Style wise 100% up the efficiency and you will be around for years.

Camden H.

Yelp
I really love the vibe of the café and truly appreciate that it's Black-owned. My drink was great, and I always enjoy supporting the business. However, during my recent visit, one of the staff members, he had curly hair and a fuller build, came across as a bit short with customers. Additionally, although the café was still open with more than 25 minutes until closing, he mentioned that the oven was already off and wouldn't heat up my cookies. I understand that closing routines take time, but it would be great if full service could be available right up until closing time. Just wanted to share some constructive feedback because I genuinely enjoy the space and want to keep coming back!

Kelsey L.

Yelp
Wasn't a fan of the service or lack there of. I'd rather support other small businesses instead unfortunately.
