St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London

The ambiance is unmatched. The location is perfection. I would prefer some more international options at breakfast, and the lounge offerings were more robust before the pandemic, but at least this Marriott property still offers both amenities as many do not. It's the hotel staff who truly set this place apart from any other Marriott property we've ever stayed. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and at ease!

What a beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ok, not cheap but you are paying for quality.||Bedroom was very modern and quiet. ||Beautiful decor in all the bars, restaurants and lobbies. ||Would definitely stay here again.

An amazing building which has been lovingly restored. To me, it will always be the Hogwarts Hotels because of that amazing architecture. Many original features remain including that magnificent staircase! Over 200 bedrooms here but you are made to feel like an individual guest, not a number. Bedroom a little to corporate and modern for me but that's a personal preference. They are a good size and very comfortable. Great nights sleep.

Overall poor experience. Customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Staff does not know what time check in and out have been requested, routinely gives away rooms (I double checked this was happening with other guests in our situation), and cannot communicate with the guests in any efficient manner. The rooms and amenities were excellent, and this building is beautiful, however outside of access to kings-cross there is not much in the way for attractions. If you have a long trip, maybe stay here, the comfort was great. However, know that a short trip will become 50% of customer service issues.

This is a really lovely hotel, the rooms are clean and modern but still cosy and the public areas are fantastic, showcasing the original architecture of the building. I mainly chose this hotel for the spa, as access to the facilities came with the room rate. It was absolutely worth it, especially if, like me, you want the spa experience without the treatment. ||The only odd part of my stay, which is why I’ve rated it 4/5, is that on my leaving day the cleaning team were literally standing outside my door waiting to come in. This was well before the actual cut off for me to check out. It was very bizarre and left a sour taste after a good stay. Please don’t do this, it’s really not necessary and it makes it feel like guests aren’t welcome.

This fabulous old hotel was originally part of the train station, which is right next door. There are many beautiful remnants of the station, including super-high vaulted ceilings and engraved notices (such as Ticket Office) over some of the doors. The staff, including the obvious security guards, is friendly and courteous. The grand reception area which includes a bar, is spacious and lovely. This gorgeous place is full of old-world opulence!

Just popped in to see hotel. Gentleman amazing on showing us gothic bar etc. Thank you for welcoming non guests and not judging us on our rather casual wear! Viewing on 9th June at 1415. Would even think of saving to stay here. Beautiful building.

Sub par hotel for cost.|It is a great location. It is beautiful outside. |The lobby and restaurants are stunning.|The staff are not helpful, not conscientious. (Upon checkin I noted my room was not locked -deadbolt kept door open. I was told that is not a problem, just go in. I requested security go with me as it felt unsafe. In the morning, I noted the room had no tea service, lighting faulty, and the hot water was faucet broken. I had to argue to be put in a new room.)|The rooms are underwhelming. |The hotel is not worth the cost.

What a great hotel to stay at. It's a Marriott. Nuff said. Walked in, greeted. Offered wine. And checked in no issues. Large hotel in such a great location next to the Eurostar and Kings Cross. Yes it's pricey but worth it. The room was very nice and well equipped. Even had some comfy slippers to wear. No issues with the bathroom/shower. All around great service. Again, pricey. However, you get what you pay for and here you pay for location and top quality service.

This is a 3 star hotel in a shell of a 5 star hotel. The building is beautiful and parts of the hotel are as well. However, the rooms were terrible. We have been here twice, once in a junior suite and the most recent was in the Barlow wing. The tub in the suite didn't work. Some of the furniture was scratched. The safe at Barlow wing didn't work. They said they would fix it. It never happened. No one answered the phone. The food was terrible at the lounge. The Christmas decorations were so underwhelming. The pen and laundry bags were generic. They were not branded. The other two hotels right across the streets were more modern. Will be staying there instead in the future. Also, on the day of our arrival, the Marriott app re-instated a reservation I cancelled previously. It was so frustrating. At least, I had proof I cancelled it.

We only stayed here for one night, but found the location very convenient to catch the Eurostar to Paris the next day. Room: We booked the base room with only a queen bed, and that's exactly what we got. I'd probably consider it similar to a townplace brand room I once stayed at, in terms of the bed comfort and overall room size and styling. The room does include some free cookies and a nespresso machine, which was nice. I'd still probably give this room a 3/5 as nothing else really stood out to me. Amenities: The lobby and hallways are quite nice, you can tell the public areas are well maintained. We were surprised at how busy it was at checkin, but appreciated the nearby lobby lounge for my elderly mother while we waited. We didn't use any spa or gym facilities, but overall had a nice experience in the public areas. Staff were friendly and trying their best even when I could tell some clientele were losing patience since their rooms weren't ready, but luckily ours was! Dining: Ended up with free breakfast for two thanks to the front desk when we ran into a minor issue. We found the breakfast buffet options decent in terms variety, but quality was mid. Would only recommend staying here for the convenience to St. Pancras and lower price (either points redemption or cash), but we probably wouldn't be back as we prefer to stay at other hotels in different areas of London.

Awesome hotel and staff near Soho. Walking distance to the tube and many attractions. Two great bars one in main lobby and one in the restaurant with a huge bar table. Will come here again.

Stayed in this hotel about a month ago. Beautiful architecture. It used to be a train station and it's not far from current train stations. Looking out the windows in the morning you can see folks taking pictures. Walking through the hotel you can see fewer folks taking wedding pictures. Hotel has a few bars. Staff was helpful. It's convenient having it close to train stations that are in use. Staff is helpful.

This was a horrible experience from beginning to end. Before arriving I requested a car service through the hotel. The car service was not confirmed nor was I given another option instead I had to find a last minute taxi at the airport which was unnerving as a first time visitor. If you have dust allergies stay away, this hotel has carpet everywhere and it's extremely dusty. Not to mention the room has dated furniture, clogged drains (sink and tub) and worst of all there was no heat for the entire stay!!!! Yes no heat. And no one answers the front desk phone. I couldn't wait to leave this property. If you still decide to visit perhaps you'll have better luck at the restaurant or property tour.

Stayed here for six nights and it was conveniently located right at kings cross station. My room was in the back side so there wasn't really much of a view (literally a wall outside my window) but it was extremely quiet. Room is small but clean. Love the nespresso machine and bottled water. But beyond that, it's pretty standard and doesn't compare with the impressive architecture in the exterior of the building and in the hotel lobby. The gym is 24hr; but it was pretty small and dated with not that many equipments. Overall a decent but pretty average stay.

We had lunch at the Midland Grand Dining Room Restaurant which was one of the best meals we had in London. It is spacious and very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was brilliant and they took special care of our toddler granddaughter. We are definately going back. Many thanks to the staff for this unbelievable experience.

Now this is a hotel and in busy Kings Cross area which is smack next to the famous Kings Cross train station (Harry Potter). The building is a sprawling huge old train station which in part of it contains this massive hotel complete with huge comfortable rooms and two restaurants and a bar area. The hotel boasts a huge ballroom and all sorts of conference rooms and even some breakfast nooks. We held a work event here and the staff, food and service was excellent and well worth the price. The location cannot be beat and you are pretty much close to everything. The only small complaint I would have, the lobby is very tight and in a very narrow room with a bar area and reception is tightly placed against the wall which is odd looking but if anything not sure if there is something that can be done there.

TLDR: Horrible service, but amazing location with beautiful lobby. If you're here for business or in a rush, I would definitely not recommend this place due to all the staff issues, unresponsiveness, and delays. Try the Great Northern Hotel across the street, as their staff one thousand times better. Marriott really needs to re-look at this property, as they have provided the worst service experience of any Marriott property I've stayed at. Hotel itself: The building is beautiful and the only reason they can continue to attract guests. The lobby and dining areas are as-pictured and very pretty. The room itself was small, plain, and not particularly thoughtful. Staff: Horrible experience. They don't answer the phone, don't answer email, and have only a couple people at the front desk resulting in very long wait times to check-in or speak with someone. Most staff seem very new and seemed to not know how to use the check-in system. Our cards stopped working every 24 hours and we'd have to wait in line (easily 5-10 people in line each time) to fix the card. If you have a question, expect to wait a minimum of 15 minutes to speak with someone. Similar issues when calling them from the room phone. Location: Location is fantastic. Direct access to Kings Cross Station and close to several major attractions like the British Museum. If you're in London for a leisurely trip and want access to a central station, then this spot is still good because the staff issues may not have as big an impact on your trip. Amenities: Internet is fine, but not particularly good. Would not recommend if you're working while staying here. Disclaimer: I did not stay in the hotel. But I ate at one of their 3 restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed it (the Booking Room: excellent food and service). The whole space has been newly renovated to its full Victorian splendor, and it is splendid indeed: huge, light and airy. There is also an enormous bar. You could host large groups here, but my immuno-suppressed friend felt safe eating at a table for two in such a generous space. Top marks.

The service (save for Dalmar and Benjamin) is an absolute joke. I'm still talking to Marriott about a refund, as this is a place with 5 star prices that's a 1 star value. On this trip I'd hit my highest status yet (Platinum), but you would've thought it was the first time I'd stayed in any hotel, anywhere. The manager on duty at check-in replied (when I said I'd been trying to reach them ahead of time) "You must've had the wrong email. And run of house means we get to choose the room." Well guess what? They wouldn't answer the phone when I tried to call (at my expense from the States) to insure we had 2 beds. I also put a note in the reservation. In addition, I'd had some parcels sent ahead from Scotland. You would've thought I was the only guest who's ever done that. I had to make multiple calls to guest services (telling the entire story every damn time) and FINALLY got the boxes. The food was ridiculously overpriced as well AND don't dare move a thing in the minibar. There's no sign, and they tried to charge me $200 for putting some items on the shelf (which I returned on my exit) so I could make room for perishables. Asked for a fan, an hour later someone arrived with a hair dryer. Called down for ice, would wait for an hour or more. Inquired about booking a taxi for an early morning departure, car service was booked. (Was told it was cheaper. Nope. About $50 more.) It almost became a game every time I attempted to call to get, well, anything. I don't take kindly to having to sleep on a rollaway bed for $500/night. While this is a great location and a beautiful building, don't torment yourself. Rent a flat for a fraction of the price, because you'll have to do everything yourself anyway.

Spice up your life! Every boy and every girl spice up your life! People of the world.... ahhhhhhhhh! So excited to say I made it to the iconic spice girls staircase. You better believe we took the opportunity to make our own little music video! Besides obviously visiting the iconic spot we stopped at the bar lounge area and let me just say B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L There was a harpist playing music (can you say fancy!) my group and I decided to sit at the bar and we had such superb service from the bartenders. I ordered a delicious gin martini which was truthfully to amazingly decadent my boyfriend ordered the old fashioned. I usually am never a fan but I really enjoyed it! The drinks are pricy but well worth it! You have to try at least one. But besides that the service just makes it so much worth it! We even had our water taste better they added fresh mint and herbs with lime such a nice touch and we got some popcorn. Truthfully just treat yourself and order something at the bar!

I splurged for one night here because of its location and history.  I have walked by it a couple of times over the years and always wanted to stay one time. The architecture is marvelous.  It is one of those buildings where you see a picture of it and you know what building it is.  Room was nice and decently spacious though I found it a little boring.  Everything was functional and it was roomy.  It just seemed just like other hotel rooms I have stayed in over the years. Bed was kind springy to me.   For the the size of the bedroom the bathroom was a bit small  The tub is high relative to the floor so it was little hard to get and out of.  Typical of hotels in Europe, it may hard for those with physical mobility issues to get in and out.  My room view was overlooking the roof of the train station which was very unimpressive.  Located far from the elevator, room was very quiet. Lobby and bar area are spectacular.  Staff is friendly and pretty efficient.  No direct access to the train station.  Have to go through bar area to get into train station and even then your on the far side of the building relative to most of the main tracks.  When walking out of the bar, you see the Eurostar boarding area but the entrance exit is downstairs.  Definitely worth the one night stay.

Have stayed here many time as a lifetime platinum Marriott client. But no more. Service is terrible and they want you to pay for access to the lounge as a platinum member.

I stayed here for 5 days on a business trip. Mixed feelings. On the plus side - the building, lobby, and restaurant are gorgeous. The room service is excellent. On the other hand, the rooms themselves are nothing special. The TV was buggy and kept crashing/freezing. The breakfast is ok but not worth the 30 pounds after already having paid over $350/night. I had dinner at the bar once and the food was quiet bad. My recommendation: come visit the Booking Office and lobby for a drink sometime or take a tour of the building, but not worth staying here.

What a majestic view and entrance! After a very long journey coming from San Francisco, dealing with a 3 hours delay, and then taking the 1 hour train ride on the Piccadilly Line, when we came out of the train station and saw this hotel we were blown away. Like -- woah! I felt like Cinderella going to a ball or something. It's truly Disney picturesque. The check in process did not feel very 5 stars to me because I've stayed at other 5 stars before where they offer you a cold towel, free drinks, and offer to take your luggage to your room for you. That was not the case here. What you're paying for is the old world charm building and the superb location. The service is a big meh, our room on the 6th floor was small and it had a tiny window... Looking straight at the back of a library. Wish it had a downtown or city street view instead. The building is great to look at but looking out from it... Eh. We're here for 5 nights and on the first night we noticed that the construction was on the shabby side in our room. The carpet has frayed edges and looked like it was coming undone next to the bed. The room was OK and kind of modern but it's by no means luxurious. Our in-room dining menu only had a cover and the pages inside were missing. I wanted to order a glass of red wine sent to our room but I had no idea what choices were available until I called front desk, lol. It took them 20 mins to bring up my glass of Rioja. 10 minutes later the phone rang and they thought that I was a different guest, ordering an omelette at 9:30pm. They got our rooms and order mixed up. We ordered room service for dinner and I specifically said "no raw onions or any onions garnish, if there are any" and lo and behold, my lamb curry came with a generous sprinkling of raw red onions. Sigh. The steak and frites was just OK because the steak was very dry and rubbery but the fries were excellent and made up for the protein's shortcomings. Oh, and I tried to order vanilla ice cream but since they ran out, the receptionist said that they would remake it and that it would take two hours. It took them like over six hours of "We'll let you know as soon as we know" and of course on the very few days I was craving some vanilla ice cream, I had to wait like, an eternity and ended up not being able to get what I wanted. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm not impressed with the service quality here, they don't make me feel like they care, but I do love the location and convenience of everything being so walking distance away. Oh, and breakfast is 22.5 lb per person. The gym was very nice - lots of new machines and I liked that some of them had a touchscreen - high tech workout machines! Very cool. I enjoyed my workout here very much. The pool area smelled strongly like chlorine and even though it's a really unique feature, I couldn't stay in the indoor pool area for more than a few minutes without gagging on chemicals. This hotel is great place if it's your first time to London! If you can bite the price, I definitely think this is the best hotel in the city of London because the location is awesome and the train station is inside the same building just a few steps away. The Eurostar train which takes you to Paris and many other countries and the underground train which connect you to almost everywhere else. 5 stars for location. 3 stars for the common areas. 1 star for service. 1 star for letting us borrow their umbrellas makes this a grand total of 4 stars with a lot of disappointments along the way.

This hotel is very cool...I really like it alot. The lobby is very cool and serves as lounge area as well and is quite comfortable The building itself from the outside is amazing and stunning. The train station is an added bonus, because you can get to literally anywhere from this location..(Paris, Brussels, and the city). The staff was amazing, helpful, courteous, and just one of the best. The BOOKING ROOM- which is their bar and restaraunt is very cool, great food, vibe, and cocktails. I thoroughly enjoyed this place, the location was great, and the staff. The only downside, was i thought the rooms are average though. It made it ok as they were still nice, but since we spent very little time in the rooms, it was ok. I love this hotel and will stay here again.

The Chambers Club continues to meet my expectations! All attendants are nice and friendly - they try to get to know you well to serve you better. It gets busy in the mornings especially during peak breakfast hours, but it was never the case that I could not find a table - unlike other Marriott hotel Executive Lounges. I have stayed there a few times, but didn't know they have their 'own' St. Pancras beer! You can get it at the hotel restaurants/bar and in the Chambers Club as well, but you cannot buy anywhere else.

Stayed here a number of times. Wish I had not. It's expensive and 2nd rate. The location is meh and from the service level this was clearly a Marriott property and not SPG. Want a waiter? Get up and ask. Want a drink? Same. The staff is all Italian and service is one of 'when I get to it' attitude. And every single time, I fly 20 hrs and get to sit in their lobby waiting for my room. For hours. This time they offered to let me get a room but only if I paid an extra £120 per night. Again, just a little bit off. Lifetime gold membership at Marriott is really worth nothing here. At all.

The lobby and restaurant has impressive architecture to say the least. The restaurant exits to the St Pancras King's Cross station. The breakfast is impressive looking even if the flavors subpar. The hotel room was beyond disappointing. It's about 300sf or smaller. No artwork, no frills, and small window. Small bathroom with one set of toiletries (subsequent room cleaning did not refresh the nice toiletries, they gave me generic ones). Who does that?! There was an nespresso machine in the room so that was a plus and limitless bottled water. Those gave it an extra star from 1.

Worst experience ever. I am currently staying here for 5 days. We are in a suite that seems to be above the ballroom. There are parties planned for every night until midnight. It's so loud we might as well join the party. My wife and I are titanium elite members and when we went to talk to the front desk they told us they were booked and couldn't move us into anything comparable until Friday. They vibrations are so bad it's like a cheap sleepy motel with a vibrating bed...no joke. This hotel is old, tired and has poor lighting and needs a ground up refurbishment. Needless to say, when I return to the states, Marriott will be getting a call and I will demand a full refund. I won't stay here ever again.

As a gold elite Bonvoy member this is the worst experience I have ever had with Bonvoy Marriot. The staff is not friendly, the service is unbelievably slow, and the reception doesn't answer the phone. A completely frustrating experience. I will never stay here again. Don't be confused with the beautiful exterior.

The good first: The lobby, restaurant, and one side of the hotel is gorgeous. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff is lovely and very accommodating. The bad: prior to traveling I called and called and called the hotel, at least five times at different times, to tell them our arrival time because it was off hours. I could never get a live person, the phone just rang forever. I emailed and even facebooked them and never got a response. So when we arrived in the early morning after the first night booked, we found that one of our extremely expensive, pre-paid rooms had been given away. Again, the staff is nice, so they handled it, but we had to sit in the lobby for a half an hour after a long flight overseas while they scrambled to find a room. The very bad - it's really two hotels. So one of our party had splurged for the top level room, I think around $950 per night, while the other two took a $750 per night room. The $950 room was in the part of the hotel where all the photos are taken, and it was fabulous. The $750 room was worse than the Holiday Inns we've stayed in in London, meaning not bad, but not worth that money. It was a $200 room at best. The window faced a roof, there was absolutely no view, the bathroom was tiny and the tub was very narrow and high to step into and dangerously slippery. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open whe we were getting ready to go out, we had to keep propping it with a garbage can, and the bathroom light kept blowing a fuse which meant we had to call maintenance a couple of times. On top of that, there is a clubhouse that serves breakfast every morning that you can only access if you're in the good part of the hotel. We tried to make the best of things and pay for an upgrade, and were not allowed. We never fully understood why, but again, the staff is lovely and we did get access to the clubhouse as an apology for not being allowed to upgrade. Overall I'd say spend your money somewhere else, the Pullman next door is less expensive and really cute, and just go to the St. Pancras Renaissance to have some dinner or drinks and get some photos in the gorgeous lobby.

Definitely a grand hotel perfectly located near several train stations (Kong's Cross, St Pancras and Euston) as well as the underground. Worth a splurge if wanting to use some Marriott Bonvoy Rewards points. Platinum benefits include breakfast in the Ticket Office and/ or the Chamber Room which also includes ample afternoon tea snacks and light snacks and drinks before dinner. Rooms are unique, clean and comfortable. I would stay again

************** 1688 ************* Such a cool hotel adjacent to the St. Pancras Railway and it's super convenient travelers like us. For being PLAT member, you got access the Chambers Club lounge, plenty of space, drink, hot breakfast and snacks for you. Comfortable bed, nice Bose sound system, spacious room, and happening bar and restaurant here. The place is vibrant and so much energy. This is probably one of the fanciest Marriott we have ever been to.

Arguably the most remarkable high-end hotel in London. The St. Pancras Renaissance is an incredibly beautiful and remarkable hotel. It used to be part of the St. Pancras train station until it was repurposed as a hotel. It is beautiful inside and outside. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to stay here. I only wish I could have stayed longer. One thing to note, if you stay in the Barlow Wing you will have to walk through the stinkiest hallway ever. The kitchen entrance is in the hallway connecting the lobby and the elevators. I saw multiple people holding their noses as they went through. It's a dank fishy smell. I was a bit concerned it would linger on my clothes. Bad enough to knock a star off this review.

Third stay in a Grand Junior Suite in the Chambers wing. Still adore the Chambers wing for its majestic historical feel, and access to the club for breakfasts and lounging. Shower was ridiculously tiny. As long as you can take a shower without turning around or moving much, you'll be fine. Wall switches still confusing after 3 visits. Advice is to take some time and play around with them, or you may inadvertently plunge someone in the bathroom into total darkness when flipping a switch in the living room! Bed is too soft. Repeated complaints from wife. Perhaps it's time for a refresh. No ability to chromecast tablet to tv, despite a convenient charger/ connection panel. Other devices/ connections will still find the panel useful. Impressive hotel, and despite its flaws, still love it, and love the convenience of the rail and tube stations downstairs. But will definitely explore other room types before booking again, to see if other options eliminate some of these problems.

I recently stayed at St. Pancres Renaissance Marriot with my friend Kathy Floyd. Our stay was wonderful. I have to say the service and staff could not have been better. Dan at the front desk could not have been more accommodating and Francesco, was more than a server. He anticipated our every need, assisted us in getting dining reservations at a nearby restaurant that had told us they were full and was just a joy. Bravo to all and this Will be our London location from now on.

This place always blows me away. The building itself is utterly stunning both inside and out. The hotel is amazing for putting on big celebrations such as weddings, birthdays and the like. I've stayed here as a corporate client and was extremely impressed. I've been here with the girls for some champagne cocktails and they were delish! Once I left my handbag at the bar and they called me the next day, everything was left in the bag and they kept it safe and locked away until I could get back there. Service, ambience everything is spot on. I love this place.

Not sure where (or if) the generally insufferable staff of the Renaissance St. Pancras Hotel received training or why a gaudy pinkish colored McLaren sports car is perpetually parked outside it's front entrance (the car is purported to be a possession of the owners son). However both are indicative of "welcome" the hapless party who has chosen to give their custom to this vexing establishment will receive. The staff mantra here is "we have the upper hand and you guests better realize it" in that the answer to any request is invariably "no" or "we don't provide that". What, you don't know check in time is 3:00 PM replies the vapid staff member looking down her nose at you in reply to the possibility of something earlier. Business Center? Never heard of such a thing - you might try sending your pressing email print request to staff services but there is no way we'll deliver it to your room or even acknowledger receipt. What, you want to choose your seat at breakfast? No way, we'll tell you where to sit and you'll like it. The rooms themselves are ample however the bath access is challenging due to odd (and dangerous) angles and a shower control like something one would find in the Lunar Lander. Walking down the hallway to one's room one encounters various side tables littered with the flotsam of room service orders that sit uncollected for hours. Also observed was errant underwear gracing carpet between rooms for an extended period of time. Perhaps if "the owner" chose to invest in professional staff rather than expensive toys this establishment might be bearable however at this time it is not and definitely should be avoided.

St Pancras Renaissance was a wonderful stay-- connected to Kings Cross underground and St Pancras International stations. Great access to rail and tube transit. Staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Beautiful historic building, room was a bit tired and dated though. Great access to rail and "tube" transit. It was my first trip to London, I intend to go back and enjoy the afternoon tea in The Hanson lounge.

A beautiful building with a wonderful hotel and staff inside. Old never gets in the way - there are even USB and US outlets available. Stayed in room 177 in the Chambers wing, overlooking the train station. Train or people noise was never an issue - even the announcements are relatively muted. Planes are louder than the trains! Staff is wonderful and attentive. Chambers Club is a great place to eat and relax when you're still on a different time zone. And just outside the hotel are shops at the station, plus the new Granary and Coal Dump areas across the canal with restaurants and shops. Food and service are wonderful along with the beauty of the architecture! More than just a place to take pictures!

This is where spice girls filmed their song wanna be. Its beyond wooow, very elegant romanesque architecture. The stairs to the upper floors is Somethinggg to check out ( you probably saw some instagramers taking their pics on the stairs). I would highlyyy recommend paying a visit at least if you cant stay in.?

I stayed here in November and it was great (mostly). I chose this hotel despite it not being very near tourist attractions simply because I was coming in from Paris and the hotel is conveniently located right in the train station. The pros: Beautiful hotel with lots of great history. The concierge even does tours if you're interested. The hotel staff are friendly as can be. Breakfast in the Chambers Club was great. The booking office makes wonderful yummy cocktails. You are also very near king's cross station should you want to take the tube. The cons: The room I got was not very nice with an outside view of a wall. After reading other reviews, I see there is a newer part of the hotel (I think this is where I was staying) and it's just simply not as "glamorous" as the older part of the hotel. The air conditioner was broken for 2 days and it took several attempts by maintenance to fix it. To their credit, front desk was very apologetic and tried to make it right immediately. In short, the hotel staff is great. Service is great and the hotel is stunningly beautiful, but the rooms are just not that nice.

Totally delighted by this, one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Pluses: - location for Eurostar travel can't be beat, as this is attached to the train station but thoroughly soundproofed. King Crossing tube station two minute walk away. - adjacent to British Library with its Treasures room of Magna Carta, original Bach, Beatles scripts etc. ten minute walk to British Museum. -many hip stores and restaurants in area. - spectacular architecture, a gem of a building with 18 foot ceiling and glorious high windows, many architectural touches and classy ornaments, but fully modern WiFi and all other amenities - the concierge lounge is the best we have ever experienced globally. The complimentary afternoon tea is spectacular, with half a dozen types of finger sandwiches, additional pastries, scones and desserts as well as fruit and drinks. Complimentary full breakfast to order and evening canapés are further features making the concierge level worth the added expense. - outstanding spa with high quality massages, facials, and a full gamut of treatments. Co Ed steam eucalyptus room and separate gender saunas included without having to pay for a spa service. -service staff very friendly and helpful. Minuses: - swimming pool is only one lane and too short for real laps.

First of all :) the only reason why i chose that hotel its because the spice girls film their epic clip wannabe at this hotel .... i know. And i had a amazing picture :) now lets talk about the hotel. Its not a cheap hotel be ready to pay the price. It also come with the luxury that you expect. The service is number 1. Because of my gold marriott status, i was able to enjoy a lot of free advantage. The buffet breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Everything is great. The location is also good. Close to the metro and train station with a variety of store coffee shop and more. Its also close to a very good indian restaurant call dishoom (you should look it up) Back to the hotel, from check in to check out, it was one on the best experience i had. Some of the staff actually remember my name ... that is priceless!

Stayed in the chambers wing and it was a wonderful stay. Gorgeous architecture. The staircase and the hallway to the room was like we had traveled back in time. Chambers club was great too. Food, drinks, afternoon tea, everything we had there was good and service was excellent. If you are staying this hotel, definitely go with the room in the chamber wing. It's a lot more money but well worth it.

Location location location says it all. Located above the underground , buses and easy access to everything including shopping + restaurants . Being a platinum member was upgraded but not much of an upgrade. The club lounge which they call chambers club is excellent. The variety of food through out the day and evening constantly changes with ample seating. It's compliments for Paltinum members however others can buy Day Pass which I would say is well worth it if you plan on having 2-3 meals there. The stay was excellent, check in was a bit slow on a Saturday afternoon. Will be back next time in London.

St. Pancrass Renaissance is my ideal hotel in London. Conveniently located next to the St Pancrass international train station, if you take the train to Paris. The hotel has a Harry Potter's feel. It is a hotel, but part of it is a museum because of its Victorian history. The staff here is wonderful. For Platinum member, you get access to the Chambers section of the hotel which includes the Lounge, one of the best, if not the best, in Europe. The room is good size and the 20ft ceiling makes the room feels bigger. There's also a Bose Bluetooth radio/speaker for your smart phone. A very nice touch. Alcohol flow freely and high quality food served all day as part of the Lounge.

Stunning...that is the only way to describe this storied centerpiece of Victorian architecture. It has a long history. Here's what Marriott said about it on their website: "This London 5-star hotel features glorious Gothic Revival metalwork, gold leaf ceilings, hand-stenciled wall designs - and the grand staircase are as dazzling as the day Queen Victoria opened the hotel in 1873. Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott to receive travelers through St Pancras Station, the former Midland Grand Hotel offered its guests a world of grandeur, luxury and fantasy behind its fairytale red facade. Innovations such as ascending rooms (elevators) and revolving doors heightened the sense of awe." Scott designed over 800 Victorian-era buildings and he felt that this one: St Pancras Station, was his most successful. Its only been open for about 6 weeks since the completion of the multi-year renovation and yes the staff is working through all the issues of ramping up a luxury hotel. But, the level of enthusiasm and excitement is infectious. Everyone there is completely excited to be there either visiting or working in this incredible space. I felt lucky to be visiting. I didn't see all of the hotel, but here is what I can tell you: + The Booking Office Bar is dark, woody, elegant, chic and homey all at the same time. Its classic that it was in fact...the St Pancras Booking Office! I had lunch and it was very good. + The Executive Lounge (membership does have some privileges) was as nice as any I've experienced anywhere in the world and the service impeccable. Each morning I had a (mostly) light breakfast there and worked through several days while enjoying tea in peace and quiet. As well, I had an informal business meeting here and over lunch in the Booking Office and it was perfect for that. + Mine was a basic room (I'll have to try the Chambers one day) and it was fine. Especially the shower, temperature control and utilities. + WiFi throughout the building. + Lobby - beautiful. The floral decorations splendid + Access to travel points: you're 5 minutes walk to a main intersection of the underground and it took me 120 seconds to get from the exit of the hotel to the check in for my Eurostar train. + Access to St Pancras Station...well, your basically in it and this station is one of the most complete in the world. By this I mean that it is loaded with restaurants, shops and supplies, including a M&S where you can get a lot of healthy food - again, 2 minutes from here to your hotel, all under one roof. +++ Finally a word about the cinnamon rolls...you heard right, the cinnamon rolls. Not the flatter ones with the raisins, but the taller ones with the sugar crust coating and gooey cinnamon filling. These are to die for. It might be the best pastry I've ever tried. I'll have flashbacks over these things. I could go on, but you get the idea. Its not the least expensive choice in the city, but it is an incredible value. I was lucky enough to be there when they are just getting off the ground. I am certain in the years to come this will be among the very top destinations in London. Thanks Renaissance for something to rave about.

Awesome hotel and perfect location. The rooms are modern, but the hotel has a very old school rich feel to it. Reminded me of old London. We were reward members so we were able to enjoy a free cocktail hour in the evening with complimentary appetizers. Great selection. In addition, we got a free breakfast that was above par. You can't go wrong staying here. Staff was friendly and helpful. They will even call you a taxi if you're in need of one instead of taking the train. In addition they were able to hold our luggage for us when we checked out. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed for five nights and overall it was a great stay. For the positives first: It is a beautiful building that I would argue is one of the best in the city. It's location is also amazing. It is right next to Kings Cross Station so there is great access to the Underground(their Metro system). Also, it is connected to the EuroStar so all we had to do was go downstairs to catch a train to Paris. The convenience is priceless! The hotel itself was really nice and everything I'd expect from a Five Star hotel. So my only issue was the food. I ordered a pizza (room service) late one night and it was supposed to be tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil but instead I got arugula and Parmesan. I'm not a picky person but it wasn't even close to what I ordered. I sent it back and one hour later they sent up another pizza that was still wrong but closer than the first (I didn't bother telling them it was still wrong). Two people said they would take it off my bill (I didn't ask, they offered) but it was still there when I went to check out. Also, they had recently updated their menu but it was an old one online so that was a surprise when we went to one of the restaurants for a specific item and it wasn't there. They had good drinks and some desserts were better than others. To end on a good note: they have a good gym (for a hotel) and overall the staff was friendly (I had one rude waitress). And I can't rave enough about the location.

Amazing This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Now I am slightly biased as I work for the company and got a preferential rate - still not cheap. But I am normally overly critical of hotels, and this one was pretty much faultless. Firstly, it's in an amazing location, a stone's throw from Kings Cross and attached to St Pancras, you can get to the hotel from both without having to step outside. So you can pretty much get to any central part of London within 15 minutes. The building is incredibly dramatic, and if you walk in the front door, like we did, the first impression is breath taking. They have a Grand Staircase where they filmed the first ever Spice Girls video, and also a scene from one of the original Batman films (I think Batman Returns, but don't quote me on that) and it is beautiful - it leads up to their suites. The most impressive is a three bedroom suite with the largest living room you have ever seen - and an amazing modern painting of the Queen. Had a standard room, which was spacious enough, though the bath tub was maybe a little small - no big deal as you don't go to London to have a bath now do you? The beds are incredible, but don't expect much of a view - this is central London after all! Large reception area which was very busy for afternoon tea and business meetings. The Ticket Office is their main restaurant, which is more like a large bar, and they serve 3 meals a day in here - average London prices and attentive service, its very busy at weekend nights - and popular among the Friday 'after work' crowd - no dress code so all comers welcome. We had access to the Chambers Club, which is their executive Lounge, so we had breakfast there and also took advantage of the complimentary coffee and drinks service throughout the day - it's a lovely place to relax, so if you can afford it, pay for the upgrade and you can justify the cost with a few glasses of wine and canapés before heading out each day Service was attentive, efficient and personalised for most interactions - and for me that's the most important thing!

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in the Barlow wing of the hotel and it was everything we expected. All hotel staff were very helpful and we were able to check in early. Loved the proximity to the tube station and the international railway. The Booking Office Bar offered excellent drinks/snacks and Ralph was an excellent server! Looking forward to another stay!!

This is a really nice hotel and they know how to treat a Marriott Platinum right. I can see why it was selected as the top hotel in London in 2011. The building itself is gorgeous and the location is very convenient. We came back to London after a trip to Paris via the EuroStar and checked right into the hotel. This hotel also has these blueberry candies in jars that are at the front desk counters. They can be very addictive. ;-) The Gentlemen's Club has very decent selection for breakfast, afternoon snack, and late night snacks. The staff working there is also very professional. Also major props on the concierge service of this hotel. We requested tickets for the hop-on hop-off bus tour when we checked in, and that was taken care for us right away. Later, my mom and I wanted to see a show and the concierge staff gave us suggestions and then got us killer seats for the night after we picked the show. The staff also recommended a restaurant for before the show, made the reservation for us, and printed out maps for us. My only complaint is that the map printed out was not oriented to North and we got lost for thirty minutes trying to find the restaurant. Nevertheless, we made the show so it was all good. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are ever in London.

Quiet, spacious suite. Friendly, helpful staff. Chambers club room food enjoyable. As a Platinum Member these were very good room and food upgrades. Only bad mark is a pissy male manager chose to call and wake my wife in the USA very early in her morning to ask about my agreed 4pm late checkout... it was agreed on my check in and just not in their system.

The setting is superb and i was greeted from my taxi with outstanding hospitality. The receptuonist was friendly and asked me lots of questions aboit my day. She didnt have it recorded that i haf prepaid or ordered breakfast so i had to resend that when i paid for my wifi when i got to my room which wasnt good. I was upgraded however before this so i let it slide. Wifi was expensive £15 for high speed. Naughty of thrm. They also took £100 authorisation off my card just incase i spent that in the room.i didnt sleep very well due to the aircon/heating system being so loud but the bed was comfortable. I thought it wad bad that there was o ky enough milk for 2 teas which i drank before bed- what about a coffee for the mornibg? Dreasing gowns supersoft and lots of bathroom products. Gym was TINY for such a huge hotel. Wifi connection shocking. The stay was fine but i would be gutted if i had paid for it!!!!!!

Great club at the Chambers Club. Wonderful atmosphere with breakfast, high tea and canapés. Fantastic staff!

We had a wonderful visit to this hotel. The property itself is beautiful and sparkling clean. Awesome architecture and fabulous amenities. The spa is outstanding. This hotel makes you feel transported to another era. Staff was excellent, especially Mathias, the concierge. He was extremely helpful and gave us so many options of places to go and things to do. HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It will make your trip a memorable one.
