Google
This place has easily become a favorite. They don’t stay open late but they do open early. Depending on the time it can be a bit busy but the service is great. Street parking is usually fine. I’m not in love with their coffee but the bagels are amazing. Love love love the bagels and sandwiches.

Seth Martinez

Google
Great food. Came in close to close so there weren't many options, which I didn't mind at all since that's to be expected from a bagel place! Even with the smaller selection (I got a club on the Hawaiian bagel), it was absolutely delicious. Staff were also very friendly and considerate. Can't wait to go here more!

Google
Wow, what a great bagel place. I love plain bagels the most, especially at lunch time as a sandwich. We purchased sandwiches here, had some chips and ate those at a picnic by Lake Harriet. Perfect consistency of bread and corned beef. Got the Reuben and the MacGyver. Highly recommend.

Google
One of the few (maybe only) bagel places that are open at 6am. The bagels are soft and warm at that time. I get the dozen special to take to work and they are always gobbled up. I also get myself an everything with cream cheese and lox and they don't skimp on the lox.

Josh Pennington

Google
I love this place. The bagels are so good and the service is pretty fast. My one complaint is that they are perpetually running out of coffee. I go here at least once or twice a week and I’m not exaggerating when I say more often than not I’m having to grab someone’s attention because the coffee container has run completely out. And they don’t make it a priority to try and refill it so you’re sitting there for quite some time. I truly don’t understand why you wouldn’t just have two or three ready at all times and just rotate them out. Drip coffee should never be out at a breakfast place.

Google
Delicious bagels and coffee! Lots of sandwich options

Google
Delicious bagels! The restaurant inside is very neat and modern looking, but still feels welcoming. I saw most people getting take out orders, but there is plenty of room for seating inside as well. The staff were very friendly, and service was quick. I ordered the “Diana Ross”, and my bagel was excellent!

Google
Great bagels, probably the best in the twin cities. I buy their bagels commonly from a local co-op, but went to visit this location for brunch. The sandwhiches are good, but not amazing. But the bagels alone, or with cream cheese are incredible. It's worth making the visit, and try a bunch of flavors.

Yelp
I gladly drive 15 minutes to go to St Paul Bagelry, even though I've got a number of bagel places that are much closer to my house. Damn good bagels and service has always been good for me.

Yelp
Bagels, it's become a morning ritual for me...I know, carbs but damn these are so good! Now this is a great location, in Minneapolis which is a little surprising from the name. I am not a huge fan of their breakfast sandwich...learn how to cook the eggs, makes a huge difference for me! It is a great place though! I have gotten in a habit of stopping in for "day old', taking them home and throwing them in the freezer..they thaw and reheat really well. Great texture, great flavors and makes a great breakfast sandwich at home! Now, I have just recently tried Rise Bagels and I will say I prefer St Paul...I think its a little thinner, better flavor bagel...to me! KT

Yelp
I met a friend here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The dining room is nicely built out: inviting, light, and has a diner feel. It's like a modern version of a NYC delicatessen. Speaking of NY, I saw they had lox on the menu, and promptly ordered that with an everything bagel, a bag of chips, and a can of fruity San Pellegrino. To say that it didn't disappoint would be an injustice. I was in awe as I bit into this Lox sandwich. The lox was perfect: moist, full flavored, succulent. The bagel was soft, flavorful, and abundantly garnished in everything toppings. It is the best Lox sandwich in the cities, hands down. I might even say it's better than some Lox I've had in NYC and in LI. One thing of note is that you do have to fend for yourself with street parking. I parked across the street by the Garden Nursery. Luckily there weren't too many Christmas tree shoppers. If you're into bagel sandwiches, this is a pilgrimage. I will definitely be back to try the other fun sandwiches on the menu.

Yelp
Fire bagels from a local staple. We got the specialty bagels starting with the LutherVandross, the Lox, and the MacGuyver. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance was unique with classic bangers playing. 10/10 Would recommend!

Yelp
This place is an easy stop in and get a sandwich. I understand the staff is a bit younger but they could give two sh..s if your sandwich is made with any intent or thought. I've been here twice now and both times they were out of bagels and out of lox, kind of a letdown. However with all that being said the bagels are well baked

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick sandwich on a Saturday morning - line was just a few people deep and they still had most of their flavors available around 10:30 or so. Sandwiches were served pretty quickly and are clearly made to order! They were solid bagels overall - one of the sandwiches was a bit greasy on the exterior and they could have had a bit more of a crust and chew but not too bad for a spot in MN!

Yelp
Growing up in NY, I've had my fair share of incredible bagels and after seeing a few TikTok's found around of some New Yorkers claiming these bagels were just as good as anything you'd get in NY, I knew I had to give it a try. When we came in on a beautiful Sunday morning, the place was packed with a long line almost out the door at some points. They offer a pretty wide selection of fresh made bagels, bagel sandwiches, and coffees (Dogwood). You order up at a cashier and then wait for your order to be ready. There are some indoor seating options there but the vast majority of their business is takeout. We ordered two bagels to share: a plain bagel with egg and cheese (pepper-jack) and an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagels pictured very nicely with some nice airy insides and a good amount of cream cheese, and a nice cheese pull on the other. However, the bagels were super disappointing for me. A good bagel should be firm on the outside with a nice crust and soft on the inside. These bagels were just soft all the way through. The texture of the crust was the same as the inside. Similarly, not enough gluten development and so it lacked that special chew that a good bagel should provide. Tasted sort of like bread in the shape of a bagel as opposed to what a NY bagel is like. Overall, I'd say this is better than some of the other options in the city that I've tried, but this place doesn't hold a candle to anything the northeast has to offer. My search for a decent bagel in the Twin Cities continues.

Yelp
A fun and reliable bagel joint! This place was hopping on a Saturday morning and as we were leaving the line was forming out the door!! My dining partner got the daily special and I made my own sandwich. My only notes were that I wish they had vegan cream cheese and the bagel was somewhat small. I appreciated the variety of bagels and toppings. Service is friendly and timely. Drip coffee was standard. My dining partner's latte was fine also. The decor celebrates music and features local artists. It was really cool to see the turntable and a bunch of records right next to the kitchen. We sat at the bar along the window and people watched while we ate our breakfast.

Yelp
St Paul Bagelry is my go-to local spot if I am craving a bagel sandwich! The bagels are fresh, and i love the Italian zest of the St Paulie sandwich with hot salami, ham, pepperoni and provolone. They also serve Dogwood coffee, and you can also buy plain bagels with cream cheese. You order at the counter and can either take it home or eat there. There's sort of a diner vibe to the Mpls location, which is fun. The cashiers are typically very friendly as well. Mostly street and neighborhood parking is available, but I have never had issues snagging a spot.

Yelp
I almost regret knowing how good their soy latte is because now I crave it. If you're familiar with Starbucks' soy latte, this is about 1/2 the sweetness with a higher grade of espresso. Absolutely delicious. They use Dogwood Coffee. As for the bagels...I've had them three times now. I'm not going gaga for them but they are good. I highly recommend asking for them double toasted. The breakfast sandwiches are decent but I'd be okay not eating one again. The cream cheese is delish. The staff is very friendly and well trained. I appreciate the the drink tastes the same each time!! I'm curious what others say about the bagels. I never post pics because I'm too busy eating!

Yelp
I'm going to start by saying that after living in NYC, my bagel expectation are HIGH. By Minnesota standards, the bagels at St. Paul Bagelry are more than acceptable, but I just find them a little disappointing. I've been a few times over the years and stopped by last week for a ham and cheese on everything bagel. They gave me one that had egg on it, which I wasn't super excited about but it was fine. Their bagels have decent height and are adequately chewy. My main issue is that they don't have much flavor. There is no wonderfully buttery flavor to the bagels and when I got home I ended up adding more everything bagel seasoning for some much needed flavor. Maybe it's the NYC water, but I'm going to keep looking for comparable bagels in Minneapolis.

Yelp
Clean and well maintained bagel shop! The bagels are so fresh and yummy. Adding cheese and eggs makes it just that much better. After doing some research, I found out they are woman owned and family run which makes me so happy! This is a great place to work remotely, visit with friends, or have a quiet breakfast
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
I would have given a fourth star if it wasn't for the hair my wife found in her bagel, basically threw it out. Very disappointing because its the closest bagel shop to where we live. Actually, as I'm writing this I'm going to bump it down to two stars, sorry. If you don't mind the sanitation, the bagels weren't half bad.

Yelp
I love a good bagel sandwich. Service was great and quick. Small seating area. Street parking only.

J O.

Yelp
Great place, great bagels, but even they make mistakes. Drive in 20 miles to get a bag of bagels and various cream cheeses. Got home and learned I had a garlic herb cream Cheese instead of the apricot almond (my favorite). Lesson: check your order before leaving.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I arrived 30minutes before closing and they had ran out of bagels and completely shut the overs off. When I asked to have them make a 'day old' bagel they refused. Second time I have gone before closing and then had ran out of food.

Yelp
Our go to bagel spot in St Paul! This location can get crowded on the weekend. Good coffee, fast service, and great bagel sandwiches.
google avatar

Corey H.

Yelp
We just had the coffee which was pretty lukewarm but a bottomless large pot of decaf so that made me happy enough. It wasn't time for me to eat, but the bagels did look tasty. The music was record albums, so there would be a handful of loud Tina Turner songs and then nothing. Parking is tricky as it's on a busy street. Nice big booths to sprawl out in and free Wi-Fi so we could work on laptops which was nice and quiet except for the periodic Tina Turner!

Yelp
I had an outstanding experience at St. Paul Bagelry! The service was top-notch, and their bagels were simply amazing - fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Definitely a must-visit spot for bagel lovers! I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Their bagel sandwiches are amazing. I also love the recommendations for the sandwiches and have tried some combinations that I wouldn't have ordered otherwise.
google avatar

Yelp
really delicious, fresh bagels. Great breakfast sandwich. Parking is limited in the area but it is a wonderful spot for a quick breakfast/lunch grab.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried both the olive cream cheese and the smoked salmon cream cheese. Both were pretty good honestly. The salt bagels were very very good. The sundried tomato bagel smells so good.
google avatar

Yelp
The BEST bagels in the twin cities! They offer a diverse menu with different bagel varieties, bagel sandwiches and more. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Bagels like they should be Good chew good crisp not a bread roll that you get from some places selling "bagels" Not a ton of bagel varieties but a good number. A number of good sounding sandwiches. I had the lox on a toasted sesame seed bagel. It had the right amount of toppings-not too much, not too little. Lox was good also Overall a solid bagel place
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome local bagel with all the fixings and flavors you can ask for and more! Love the option to make a custom breakfast bagel sandwich. Will definitely be back to try more.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Honestly, this place used to be favorite breakfast take out place. But we've had nothing but problems trying to order the last few months. Random days closed, no one answers the phone. Web orders say they'll be fulfilled the next day. I don't know what's happening but it's a bummer.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
Fairly new here, so haven't yet eaten many MPLS bagels. Bona fides: lived 2/3 of my life within sight of the Empire State Building and have tried ALL the bagels. So far, this is by miles the best shop here. Bagel very good--not insanely oversized, a little tang, a little chewy. Close to "classic." But the sandwich choices, and execution, are the best I've ever had. Veggies: crisp, cut super thin so eating isn't an adventure. Dressing: great. CC: delicious. The one to beat (though I'll keep trying)!
google avatar

Jolene E.

Yelp
I tried these the first time when a friend brought them over. They were great! I happened to be in the area and decided to stop in and get some on my own, and I was not disappointed. They had some unique options, and I loved every single one! I will definitely be back for more soon.
google avatar

Shawn L.

Yelp
Really good bagels, nice cafe. They're doing a great job making decent NY style bagels. Good cream cheese, friendly counter staff. Definitely worth a stop for a nosh!

Madeline S.

Yelp
Loved this place! Bagels were 100% and the service was 110%. Great value given the quality!! Also, pictures don't do this place justice--it has nice, modern decor and felt clean! Plus, good music was an added bonus.

Yelp
Stopped in for coffee and breakfast on a Friday AM. This place is newer to the area. Parking was not too challenging since I was lucky to get a street spot right in front, but this area can be a challenge sometimes. The line did not move terribly fast, however knowing this place is newer, I figured it was still ironing through some operations. I ordered the Isaac hayes on a asiago bagel and an iced caramel latte. The latte was ready quickly, there was a wait on the sandwich. The coffee was super tasty and the sandwich was as well. Looking at the menu was hard to pick one, but I definitely plan on getting back here and trying a few more as well as some of their bagels sans sandwich.

Yelp
Found this little gem while wondering around Minneapolis. Ordered the John Denver bagel sandwich. The Everything bagel was on the small side, but it was really good ! Perfectly toasted and served nice and hot. Stop in and check this place out if you're near the area.
google avatar

Olivia R.

Yelp
Best bagels in Minneapolis! Love the selection of bagel sandwiches... it's hard to find a good, fast breakfast place with a wide selection. Everything is handmade and fresh, so the prices reflect the care put into their products. St. Paul bagelry is the place! The espresso is very yummy too - super smooth and tasty. I do wish they offered coconut milk though. The staff is very lovely and kind. Location is tough because it's on a busy road. Parking is always hard, I'm still not sure whether you can park behind it at the fire station but oh well.... Street parking is open whenever I go on Friday mornings! Love this place and highly recommend!
google avatar

William G.

Yelp
St Paul Bagelry is near my house and we had guests who craved bagels so based on positive Yelp reviews I decided to give them a try. I am glad I did. The bagels and cream cheese were excellent and service was quick and friendly. This business is located on the street floor of an apartment building on Nicollet just north of 54th Street so it isn't necessarily easy to see. Also parking is difficult but I parked in the apartment lot and no one accosted me in the short period I was there but no guarantees for the future. They were busy when I was there so the parking apparently doesn't hurt their business. I will definitely return.

Ralph R.

Yelp
Great bagels, excellent order ahead service and pleasant staff putting it all together. We're in town visiting family and will have them on our list of "go-to's" on subsequent visits.
google avatar

Abby W.

Yelp
My bagel was yummy, I scarfed it down... I ordered an iced latte, but received a hot latte. I didn't ask for them to make a new one as they were busy. I was a little salty at first, but the hot drink was good! I would come here again.
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
I thought I didn't like bagels until I tried their everything bagel. Just like the name, it's everything I could want. Soft, but dense enough to hold toppings. Light, but flavorful. Best bagels in the cities I've had this far.
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
Oh baby, the classic bacon egg breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel is something I could eat every day. Delicious, fresh bagels await you here. I've also ordered many large group orders for delivery and have been happy with the quality and timelines! The veggie bagel sandwich option was a bit of a let down compared to the meat options, unfortunately l.
google avatar

Katy F.

Yelp
My favorite place to stop in for a hearty breakfast sandwich on the weekends. It is usually fairly busy, but you can order ahead for pick up. I recommend trying this John Denver with jalapeño cream cheese!

Yelp
Plenty of bagel options, plenty of cream cheese options, but more importantly tasty bagels. We stopped by on a random Sunday morning at 10am and there was already a small line out the door. However, it seemed that many of their customers probably came a lot earlier since the line pretty much dissipated after we hopped on, so in essence, we were late to the party. We loved that St. Paul Bagelry offered so many different bagel and cream cheese options and all of the bagels were right there behind the register for everyone to see. In addition, all of the cream cheese flavors (including seasonal ones) and breakfast house specials were listed too. Since this was probably going to be our only time here during our visit to Minneapolis, my wife and I decided to get 1 bagel breakfast sandwich and 1 bagel with cream cheese to share. We ended up with an everything bagel with egg, sausage and cheese and a blueberry bagel with caramel apple cream cheese, with the caramel apple cream cheese being their seasonal flavor for the fall. I'll go into more detail about both orders, but to summarize, both were excellent. For the everything bagel sandwich, the eggs, sausage and cheese are typically the highlight, but to our surprise, the bagel was what we loved when we were done. The everything bagel had so much flavor to it and with each bite it actually dominated the other ingredients. The bagel was small, but packed a heck of a delicious punch. It was arguably one of the best everything bagels we had ever eaten. As for the blueberry bagel with caramel apple cream cheese, this was also really good. The blueberry bagel was tasty, but we definitely tasted the caramel apple in the cream cheese, which was a good sign. This was the first time we ever tried this flavor of cream cheese and we were sure glad we went with it. Besides the delicious bagels and cream cheese, the service was very fast and there was ample seating inside the bagel shop. The place was relatively quiet and most of the customers were couples or families just enjoying a low-key breakfast. We're aware that there aren't many bagel shops in Minneapolis and the city isn't known as a bagel haven, but St. Paul Bagelry absolutely served some of the best bagels we have had anywhere.

Kysa M.

Yelp
I love St Paul Bagelry! The bagels are always fresh and they have an awesome selection of bagel sandwiches. My go-to breakfast order is the John Denver on Asiago, substituting bacon for ham and provolone for American cheese. (I also add butter... I can't help it)! The prices are very reasonable-- breakfast sandwiches range from $4-6, and you can also pick up day-old bagels at a great price! The folks behind the counter are super friendly too. 10/10 recommend!

Rudy S.

Yelp
I never went because it looked bland and mediocre and it was. Had a chai latte and a sausage egg and cheese. Both were disappointing. Go back to St. Paul

Yelp
This is a pretty clean and cozy bagel establishment on the outskirts of Minneapolis on Nicollet. The interior is spacious, clean, and cozy. Aside from the bagels, it is unique here in that they play music on turn table. I thought that was cool. They offer a decent variety of bagels and crepe cheeses as well as very fresh toppings which I appreciate. When you get a bagel, I love also that they don't splatter their bagels with excessive cream cheese. Just enough to let all the supporting ingredients stand out. They offer the usual stuff like lox but also offer a bunch of bagels with soul themed names such as the Luther Vandross, Diana Ross and the John Denver (? Silence.....); well almost.... The bagels themselves do the job. Nothing too memorable about them other than the fact everything seemed very fresh like the tomatoes, red onions and lettuce. Would definitely come here as the place is comfortable and they offer free wi-if. The staff here are very courteous, sincere and professional. Would be 5 stars but the coffee they use isn't great. Not a fan of Dogwood coffee. Prefer something more Italian roast like.
google avatar

Hungry L.

Yelp
A bit over priced for what it is. Bagels were not fluffy enough and the meat was sparse. Many people were there so maybe my standards were just high hahaha

Kelly N.

Yelp
I don't know what happened within the last month but the bagels are simply not tasty like they used to be. Such a shame.

Yo M.

Yelp
They charged me $10 extra because they didn't think I paid for a drink. I showed them the receipt and still didn't remove the charge. "I know you didn't" is what they said like u serious rn bro. Female worker in bandana. Would not recommend.

Yelp
New favorite neighborhood breakfast spot! I drove past this one day and knew I had to visit. We went early on a Sunday morning and it was fairly busy. You order at the counter and then they'll call your name when it's ready. I had a hard time deciding what to get because I wanted one of everything. I decided to go the savory route with an onion bagel and bacon chive cream cheese. Cue mouth watering bites. The onion flakes were a little strong at first but the cream cheese helped balance out the flavors. The spread was so smooth with crunchy salty bacon and hints of chive. I'm still thinking about it the next day. My husband got the Isaac Hayes sandwich on an everything bagel. It was delicious with the egg and cheese melted together. They cut the bagels in half and then down the middle so it was easy to share our orders. Most people were getting their orders to go but they have plenty of seating if you want to stay. There are a handful of booths, bar seats and one long table. We were lucky enough to snag a booth to enjoy a nice I love local spots like this and I can't wait to come back. Pro tip: check in on yelp for a sweet deal

Yelp
Good bagels and cream cheese!! Have not tried a sandwich yet, although they must be delicious judging by the long lines and number of people waiting? Or is it slow service? Not sure? I visited 2 times the 1st time I stood in line for about 5 minutes and had to leave. The second time I was second in line and placed my order fairly quickly, ordering 6 bagels and 2 cream cheese tubs to go. My order was placed in line with all the sandwich orders and took about 20 minutes to be filled!! Wow, not sure if that type of customer service will work for the people that just want to grab some bagels and cream cheese tubs to go. I don't think I'll return. I will go to another shop is able to put bagels and cream cheese in a bag and send the customer on their way, not having to wait for other customers that have hand crafted sandwiches being made.

Yelp
Good bagels, but the honey walnut cream cheese was the highlight. Try it. There are a lot of tasty options here, so many that my boyfriend and I couldn't decide on just one, and instead got a half dozen to take home and sample: Salted, Onion, Jalapeño Cheese, Onion, Garlic, Sun Dried Tomato, and the Hawaiian. The Hawaiian sounded awesome with pineapple and coconut, but it was lacking a bit in this tropical goodness. I personally could have used more pineapple and coconut, but it didn't stop me from eating every bite. Same with the jalapeño cheese bagel that could have used way more jalapeño, rather than just some mild background flavor, but maybe that's just my spicy obsession. The rest were pretty tasty, good size, and mostly soft. We also got two flavors of cream cheese. Again, the decision making struggle was real this morning. Honey Walnut cream cheese was the best part of this breakfast, made fresh daily. The Spinach Cucumber Dill (seasonal) is also really good on the savory bagels. All of this was $14, which seemed pretty reasonable for this carb feast. There was no seating available - kind a bummer but a good sign that this place was packed mid-morning. Plus, we got to enjoy the bagel breakfast on our backyard patio at our leisure. They asked if we wanted the bagels cut to bring home. Something I could easily do myself, but since they are a professional bagel shop, I took them up on it. The slicing could use a little work. I figured they'd use some type of guide, or bagel slicer tool, but I'll give them credit for hand slicing each one. They might just need some training, as some were really unevenly cut with a huge top half and very thin bottom. But, that's just a small criticism and easily fixable. In the end, far better than Brueggers or Einstein or those other chains. I'd come back here to try one of the egg and cheese bagel breakfast sandwiches, or build-your-own. Also, Caramel Apple cream cheese is the new seasonal flavor starting in August, which I definitely want to try on a cinnamon sugar bagel.

Yelp
Delicious bagels and great service. You get the feeling the staff really cares about what they're doing. A little tricky to get to in busy traffic times (unless you park at the gas station on the corner).
