St. Paul Meat Shop

I was in the neighborhood so stopped in looking for a Tri-Tip. Left with a Bavette instead. Highly recommend checking this place out friendly people, great quality.

I had a GREAT first experience at St. Paul Meat Shop! I needed a custom meat order for a party I was hosting. I originally had reached out to another artisan meat butcher on a different Grand Ave. and had my request turned down. I'll definitely be a regular customer of St Paul Meat Shop going forward! The staff went above and beyond to make my request happen. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and obliging, and they made the whole process easy and enjoyable. The meat itself was excellent— a delicious chuck rump roast cut thinly for teriyaki beef. It was high-quality and a real hit with my guests.

The shop is very cute and has a nice variety of BalsamicVinigers! We ordered the Rachel and Ham Deluxe, both were Meh! The Rachel lacked taste, pickled cabbage instead of Sour Kraut was a little let down and that famous sauce that makes a Ruben & Rachel so yummy was missing. The Ham Deluxe on Baggett bread was tough to cut, chew and tore at the roof of mouth, bummer! Another patron near us, ate half his burrito and dropped it off at the service counter and walked out, the staff looked puzzled as to what to do, hmm, he did not look happy as he rapidly exited the meat shop.

Yep. As an amateur home chef this place kills it. So I came in after Easter and they were almost picked clean of the good stuff. But I was still able to grab something to grill. The customer service is what’s gonna keep me coming back tho . The knowledge of the cuts of meat and how to cook and even cut . A level I don’t always even consider as a home grilled but. Just to challenge the person working who told me how to cut a certain type of meat after cooking . I tried it the other way and the difference was crazy. They know their stuff here I’m definitely coming back . Don’t be afraid to ask questions m. Yo everyone u talked to that works here seemed excited to give me answers and they felt honest !!! Yeah

I go there for very specific items. Real leaf lard for the best pie crust. Pancetta for real spaghetti bolognese. Veal shanks... as you see things that never show up in grocery stores. If you love to cook it's a must.

I love this place! Everyone who works here is always so friendly, helpful, and the customer service is unmatched. Big shoutouts to Claire, Nick, and Julia for helping me pick out certain cuts and providing insight on the best way to cook them!

First of all it’s close by which is soo convenient! Next I found chicken bones to make my bone broth and I chatted with Kelly comparing our recipes! Great guy! As I was leaving he offered my half a marinated chicken as I was a first time customer! What an asset in the community!

Very very nice people working here. But their sandwich was a joke. The bread was made out of concrete and diamonds, and the sandwich really did not have very much going on for $15. Will be going to shish for lunch next time.
