New Orleans Officials Weigh COVID Safety Measures for Fall Festivals | Eater New Orleans

"I was told the city may have to require masks for people without proof of vaccination at Saints games (along with other large events and festivals) if COVID-19 spread worsens, and that capacity limits and other mitigations could be considered to curb Delta-driven transmission." - Clair Lorell

When we got here the lines were long. They weren't checking times even though you had to be there by a certain time The Christmas tree star was not shining bright on the big tree in the field There were lights abound. Majority of the lights worked but there was about 20 or 30 that were burnt out The bike riding thing was a hit for the kids. They had seesaws that were fun. Yes, I even tried them out White Christmas trees were beautiful along with the polar bears The gift shop was a joke. There was tablea set up for alcohol. One guy selling something. Not even really sure what look like six or seven things for kids and two other people had stands inside They really need to look at bentleyville. Where were the sweatshirts? Where were the hats? Where were the hand warmers? Should have been more stands selling hot chocolate and hot apple cider The zip line is $13.07. you cannot find this anywhere. How much the cost is?. Took us a while to find it. It's actually on the field and it's only one zip and it's not even across. It's down to the field. You climb up a tower of 10 steps and you shoot to the ground kids all loved it. Parents loved it. Very beginning. Zipline but fun The wait is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Your feet start to get cold because you're standing on the field They did a really good job with the space they had. Some of the lights were not working. They need to do a check periodically The White Christmas tree village with all the little houses really did not make sense. Kids went in them sometimes. Parents and all it has was like six houses with different color lights in them and white Christmas trees The s'mores were a joke $6 you got two miniature candy bars, four miniature graham crackers and only two marshmallows for $6 They could have easily given you four marshmallows and change the price to $4 more family friendly and affordable With that said, I will not be back. It was a great night. It was 35°. It was snowing and sleeting Great night with my daughter The warming houses was a much needed after walking on the cement. Some people just did not come dressed. Lots of babies. Lots of little ones

Third Saints Game for me. One sitting in the Beer Garden, One in section 120 (with plans to sit in the Beer Garden Foiled due to a private event), and one sitting in row 10 Section 113. There isn't a bad place to see the game. From a comfort perspective, best was Beer Garden at a High Top Table. Next I would sit in the bleachers again over 113. Will you are closer to the action in 113, the seats were spaced for 120 lbs people. If you're on the healthier side of life 113 should be fine. If you're like me weighing in at 275, you'll be looking for where to put your arms and leaning towards a loved one to avoid major contact with a seat mate on the other side. The shade was nice on the early evening. There is always a breeze on the 3rd base side, don't know about the other side. The other thing that I hated about 113 was the speaker behind us was and apparently the sound guy was an ex-roadie for a heavy metal band. I could not talk to someone three seats away, even when trying to tell over the announcer. Bleachers and Beer Garden were infinitely more comfortable and I could easily hold a conversation with folks 8 to 10 seats away... did not need to yell!!! Administration is inexpensive, but plan to sell a Kidney for a Beer or Food Item... $10-$15 for beer, 2 pretzels and a bag of popcorn were $20 (not including tips). Lines for food grow fast after the game starts... not enough vending stands. There are plenty of choices, though there may only be one stand selling that particular item. In the end, you come for the experience, and the Saints Organization does a tremendous job of entertaining the crowd and keeping things active and exciting... We will absolutely be going back...

Google
AWESOME. My expectations were up but the day far surpassed what I had thought. Well run with a super fun atmosphere for all. Easy to get food drink & bathrooms. I don't love baseball but I loved the experience and every seat is great. "I'll be back"

Google
Great ballpark and great atmosphere. They even have a playground for children if they don't want to watch the game the whole time. If you are baseball fan, it is a nice place to spend a few hours and enjoy the game.

Google
Lots of fun for the whole family. Rescue pets, fun competitions between innings, great food and a good baseball game. CHS field is a beautiful stadium. You can't go wrong with an outing to this ball park.

Google
Fun. Good game. Good food. Clean facilities. Friendly and accommodating staff. Food is getting pricey but it's to be expected at venues these days. El Burrito Mercado offerings were outstanding.

Google
I just love going to Saint games. If you go on Thursdays they have both BOGO on Bud Light Seltzer and $2 beers. I grabbed their Philly Nachos which start with some Tortilla Chips topped with a mound of Philly Cheese Steak and melty whiz-style cheese! They are so delicious and a huge serving for $10.50. Grabbed a nice cold beer to wash it all down. If you're looking for something to do there are still plenty of cheap tickets available for Saints games for the rest of their season. Our tickets were $15 for our great seats in section 116!

Google
Such a beautiful little park right in downtown ❤️. Great for a game or any of the events held here all year round. My company even rented a space here for our holiday party. It was an awesome venue and they even lit up the outfield with our logo! This year we went ice skating here and it was really fun, I think they should plan on having a big outdoor hockey game here:)

Yelp
Love watching a Saints game at CHS Field. The onsite museum that gives you a background on the history of baseball in MN is a neat aspect. Great food and drink options! CHS has also started having seasonal events, it's a fun use of the field when baseball isn't in season!

Yelp
My husband & I love catching Saints games at CHS; the field is really nice & the stadium is always clean. It feels like there isn't a bad seat in the house, everything is super close to the action. We have previously come on their $2 beer nights, which are a fun promo. Outside of that, they have pretty typical stadium drinks prices ($13 for a domestic 20oz). The kiosks mostly seem to be run by volunteers, which is cool, & they're always super friendly. I love the value you get at a Saints game, it can't be beat!

Yelp
CHS Field, home of the Saint Paul Saints, is a beautiful Triple A minor league baseball stadium. They are located right at the heart of downtown Saint Paul and are surrounded by some local gems like Metronome Brewery. For a minor league baseball team, the offerings are pretty standard: hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, ice cream, etc. The Saints do a great job of making the atmosphere more fun by doing silly games between each innings and bringing a pig in a tutu out on the field! The staff are all super friendly and it's a fun, cheap way to enjoy an evening with your family or friends.

Yelp
Always a great time at CHS Field! We usually go to at least one Saints game a year, and they're always a blast. This year, we got Harry Potter themed night tickets! It was fun to see the players wearing custom themed jerseys, and get our cool custom HP house scarves. I was kinda bummed they didn't do HP themed games between innings, but I still appreciate the commitment to different themes throughout the year - and all the entertainment between innings! We had bleacher GA seats which were quite a ways away from the action over in left field, so I'd definitely upgrade to pick our seats next time. There are plenty of good spots closer! I do like hanging in the grassy area sometimes though, and just walking the concourse. I'd say I prefer the food selection at Target Field, but there are some good classic food items here! Just be ready to pay the higher ballpark rate. This is a summer highlight for me - and the CHS team rocks it!

Yelp
I've been to baseball games and company events here, this month they are doing a haunted tour called Lowertown terror. Entrance via 1 gate where there's an usher to scan your ticket. Tickets can be purchased online through their website. Not too many food options available, only one concession was open that sold nachos, cheese curds, hotdogs and pretzel. Otherwise drinks and alcohol is available. There's a check in station once you enter and you'll have to fill out a waiver form, after completion you'll get a wristband with a number written on it. That number will be your group number to go downstairs for the haunted tour. Upstairs is more of self service, just hangout and wait until your group is called. Tour goes through the hallways and locker room with zombies popping out and acting like mobster. I didn't think it was scary, just jumped here and there when the zombies jumped out. Then there's a couple of photo opportunities at the end.

Yelp
CHS field is such a great stadium. Honestly not a bad seat in the house to watch a St Paul Saints game. Make sure you wear sunscreen if you've got seats in the 114-122 sections. The food is decently priced and we love Snuffy malts on a hot summer day! There are fun mascots and games in between innings. The baseball museum is neat and overall just a great little gem in the middle of downtown Saint Paul. Street parking is free on Sundays!

Yelp
This is such a great stadium (although secretly I miss the Saints' former field location). You can easily see from any seat in the house and they put on a good time. However, I had to take off a star because the food lines are just too long! Not sure what they can do, maybe add more vendors, or more efficiencies somehow? Maybe online ordering so you can pick up when ready? It was almost impossible to walk around because there were so many people queued up in line.

Yelp
We recently had our group team event watching the St Paul Saints play against Indianapolis Indians. We had a great food and beverage package and also a great double header for the night. I highly recommend to at least experience a night as even if you're not a baseball fan, you can certainly find ways to enjoy a simple baseball match anytime!

Yelp
Always a fun experience at CHS Field. The St. Paul Saints games are always a great time. During the Christmas season they transform the stadium into a holiday light wonderland that is well worth the time. From Grill Fest to a Taco and Margarita festival this venue has multiple occasions throughout the year.

Yelp
I'm not big on sports. Went here for a Saints game, Stranger Things them night. This was my first Saints game. I've always heard they were a lot of fun... which it was. Before the game I was picking up my theme night package by the home run wall & was almost hit by ball. Great welcome. I was super alert the rest of my time here. There were signs warning of this as well. Game was supposed to start at 7:05-7:10, they had so much pregame entertainment that they didn't start until after 8. Throughout the game they had many giveaways and fun stuff going on. It's downtown St. Paul so there's ramp, meter and pay lot parking nearby. The food here is double the price of Target field (Twins) but wasn't as good quality. The drinks were expensive as well but there's many restaurants within walking distance to pregame at. Overall I would recommend attending a game but stay alert!

Yelp
This is a beautiful stadium. We got tickets for the club level that includes food and drink and we're excited to check it out. I've been in club level for other sporting games around US and was always impressed with selection of food. This one wasn't as exciting. The views and the high glass walls were amazing since the night was pretty chilly. They also had propane heaters in an outdoor high top area. The club space is comfortable and very nice. The door man that let us up the stairs was beyond friendly and we enjoyed him a lot. Food: The had a small circular area in the middle with food. 2 types of Hot dogs, hamburgers, Coleslaw, baked mac and cheese, potato salad, corn, Caesar salad, fruit and veggies/ dip. Oh yeah... and a carving station with roast beef. I don't eat beef or pork, so there weren't many options for me. The potato salad was yummy and extra mustardy. The coleslaw and the Caesar salad wasn't good. The dressings had an odd aftertaste. The Mac and cheese was creamy, but had a ton of breadcrumbs. I wish they had chicken or Turkey at the carving station or chicken wings/ nuggets. I understand they can't make everyone happy, but it was very beef focused. Drinks: they had a bunch of N/A available: coffee, water and lemonade at a table to serve yourself. You could go to the bar for sodas. My teen got a Shirley temple. They had grenadine! :) Alcohol (included): 2 options of wines- Chardonnay and Cabernet. 3 tap options - Budweiser, Michelob Golden Light and a brown ale. The chard wasn't horrible! (Gallow). We ventured down to see if other food options sounded exciting and they didn't. They have the basic hot dog/ burger/ chicken tenders type food. We did purchase some mini donuts/ dippin dots. (Without realizing they had ice cream sandwiches and cookies upstairs in club for free). We didn't regret our purchases. We walked around the stadium before the fireworks started and saw there was an area with campfires and s'mores kits in the outfield. We will look into these tickets in the future! What a fun idea!

Yelp
Enjoyed a great evening at the CHS field! We saw the Saint Paul Saints play a game and despite not being huge baseball followers, we had a great time! The energy was great with a lot of crowd participation and fun events inbetween innings. The 7th inning stretch, karaoke event, and eyeball race were some of the highlights that got us off our feet and involved. This is a great family friendly venue with a large amount of food and drinks available. There are vendors spread out around the entirety of the field with a beer sampling shed that offered a variety of complimentary samples of some delicious local brews. We ended up buying a Cranberry Sour from Metronome brewing and enjoyed it greatly - very tart with a fun berry note! For food we split a Philly cheesesteak and the brat with all the fixings in the picture attached. Food is reasonably priced for stadium food, running a little higher than I'd normally want to pay in a restaurant but not unreasonable given the crowds. Some of the more popular stands had a bit of a wait (10-25 people) but a lot of the stands you could walk right up and order. Some of the other highlights we noticed were a shake/malt stand, an Asian food stand, dip n dots, and boozy ice cream! Excited to return and try more!

Yelp
I have been here a handful of times to watch the St Paul Saints. I've had a great time each visit. The last time I had won tickets to sit in the club level. This is the way to watch baseball. Free food stations and open bar. Food included pasta, carved ham, Caesar salad, roasted potatoes, veggies, and many other buffet options. If you want ball fare, they have that too with brats, hotdogs, and popcorn. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Seats are protected from bad weather. You can sit inside and enjoy cool air conditioning or sit outside on a balcony overlooking first base. Great place to watch games.

Yelp
My first time at the CHS field! The club is lovely and most importantly has AC for those who don't like to sit in the scorching sun like me . I got the best fries I've ever had ! They have a great staff as well.

Yelp
Went to a game where the Saints were hosting Omaha today. Good game. Got a good farmer's tan there.

Yelp
We visited the CHS field for their winter glow lights at night. The parking was easy and we didn't know there were food options in the field. We would have just eat at the stadium. The light display was outstanding, with nice musics and fun atmosphere. You can easily bring your kids here and spend an hour or more. They also offer a small play area that has a play sets. The kids had so much fun.

Yelp
Saints games are always a blast and the entire facility is great to walk around while watching the game. Last time was pretty chilly, so glad they had hot chocolate to warm up a little. If you're looking for some good food, I totally recommend the Von Hansens Sausage Haus. The Brat Favre is full of jalepeno cheese and super flavorful. I also enjoy the Craft Beer area behind the left field corner area. So many great local craft beers. You can get front row tickets for about $20, so amazing deals for some minor league Twins action.

Yelp
This was our first time at CHS Field to attend a St. Paul Saints game. The stadium has nice walkways which make it easy to navigate through crowds. I was impressed with the variety of foods and beverages available compared to other AAA baseball venues I've been to before, and the pricing is comparable. Also nice to see plenty of bathrooms so lines weren't long. All areas of the stadium that we saw were clean, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Beautiful open-air field with lots of local MN food vendors on-site including Snuffy's Malt Shop and Ginkgo's Coffee House. There is even a small museum in this field which will give you the history of the Saint Paul Saints. Tickets are usually easy to find and my most recent recommendation is to buy the standing room only tickets which basically allow you to walk around the entire parameter or sit on the upper hill field. I enjoy this more as there's no commitment to sit for the entire game and it's more cost efficient! There are still plenty of great standing spots to catch the game so don't let this fool you. The entire ball park is clean and still has the entertainment piece heavily involved with the fans and mascot, Mudonna. Typically there are fireworks at the end so if this interests you, make sure you stick around. Enjoy!
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
The saints stadium is way nicer than I expected it to be! It has everything you need but it's not over the top with prices or non traditional options for food. $2 beer night on Thursday's is a vibe and my friends and I sat on the grassy area so all in all a super cheap night of fun and entertainment. My friends grilled cheese, my brat, and my boyfriends malt were all great and as expected. I love that they have a huge selection of craft beers as well. Definitely a Minnesota summer staple! And nice to have a much more low key and affordable atmosphere for a summertime baseball game.

Yelp
CHS Field, home to the AAA St. Paul Saints, is a gem in historic downtown St. Paul. The Saints used to be part of a non-MLB independent league but became a farm team of the Minnesota Twins in 2021. Being a AAA team, the field can afford to take risks. For example, at the Ecolab Brew Hub (near left field) you can get a couple dozen local beers ($8 each) and never see a Coors in sight. You want a sour beer? Take your pick from multiple options. You want an ultra-dry cider? They got a couple. Honestly, this stadium has a better, more interesting and diverse beer list than 95% of bars in the Twin Cities. For food, there aren't a ton of vegan options, but the Burger Depot (near right field) has a Morningstar blackbean patty ($11.50) and Wok in the Park (near center field) has a vegetable stir-fry ($13). There's also a spicy hummus wrap ($11) behind home plate at the Sandwich Station. The in-between innings entertainment is fascinating and weird. You will see an old Japanese man sing karaoke, watch grown men race in giant eyeball costumes, and also see hapless dudes try to catch baby dolls dropping down a "birthing canal" (yes, they even say that on the intercom). I was baffled and riveted all at once. Oh yeah, you might also see a baseball game.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
I guarantee that if you mention going to a Saints game to any local, you'll hear "CHS Field is one of my favorite sports venues!". Because it's hard not to love. This stadium still feels new. It's got high-end spectator amenities. Truly not a bad seat in the house. I was surprised to find a coffee cart on a warm summer evening game. I wasn't in the mood for a beer and totally enjoyed sipping my fancy latte while watching Jose Miranda hit a beautiful home run. Truly excellent stadium food, bathrooms are plentiful and always in great order, and the inter-inning entertainment is often my favorite part of the whole game. Friday night firework shows are the best.
google avatar

Nate B.

Yelp
This is a great place to watch a baseball game or to go to an event. The sightlines are really good here, you can see the field from nearly everywhere, the only place you can't is in straight away center field where the "batter's eye" is tall and covers your view. The place still feels new and beautiful, with nice touches such as the wood ceilings above the covered seating areas. One of my favorite baseball watching experiences and stadiums, this place is amazing. Go on Sunday if you have kids, so they can run the bases after the game!
google avatar

Victor M.

Yelp
Went here for a saints game on a Friday and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Getting through security was very quick and painless. The food was very good and the venders are fast to deliver. The seating was a bit sketchy because it seems that people sit where ever they want. Our seats were taken by a large group buy we found better seats in another row closer. Overall experience was great!!
google avatar

Al K.

Yelp
Without a doubt, the best triple A baseball stadium in the country. Sure I've only been to one other but every other stadium is essentially garbage compared to here. Absolutely the best. Speaking of best, I waiting a long time in line for a milk shake, almost to the point that I was going to abandon my venture to the food stand. However, when I got that bad boy, I drank it down in 32 seconds flat. I know it because my wife timed me from the time I grabbed it and shoved it down my throat. It was that good. The shakes are worth the wait!!! Plus it was Star Wars night and that can't be beat. Anyone who doesn't like Star Wars, baseball, or milk shakes should be in prison as far as I'm concerned.
google avatar

Nathan B.

Yelp
Great place to catch a game! Any seat is great so don't worry too much about which seat you choose. Standing tickets also are a great option because you can sit on the grass or wander around as you explore the food and beer options. Service has always been great for all CHS staff.
google avatar

Tracey F.

Yelp
One of the best minor league ballparks out there. Love the variety of vendors and fun on the field. Biggest reasons for taking off a star is the lack of ushers on the main level. Prior to this being a Triple-A affiliate, every aisle seemed to have an usher and kept people from walking up and down during at-bats. Anyone who actually respects the game knows this is a big no-no, so please bring back having more ushers; this significantly impacts the ability to enjoy the game, if that's what you really came for. Also, some crowd management would go a long way. Behind home plate and near the beer corner, everything gets clogged up and it's bear impossible to pass through. Maybe having some queue lines for vendors so that people can still pass through the concourse would improve this. All in all, a great place to see a game.
google avatar

Cassie M.

Yelp
Fun. Clean. Friendly crowd. Cheap tickets. Overall well designed. Entertaining St. Paul Saints game with plenty of silly antics in between innings to engage the crowd. Easily accessible and close to nearby restaurants and bars in Lowertown and Mears Park. By design, the sun generally sets behind the stadium so nobody in seats has to worry about sun in their eyes. If you want to catch some rays before it sets, hang out on the deck behind the outfield. There, you can also get ice cream, beer, burgers, and other standard ballpark food. Some complaints on here cite extraordinarily long lines for concessions. I did not find that to be the case. For my first beer ($8), I only had to wait for one person in front of me. For the second, walked straight up to the counter without any waiting, and same was true for the nacho stand ($10). Yes, I ate nachos out of a helmet and am only sort of embarrassed by it, but not really. If you're too lazy to get up from your seat, there are plenty of vendors walking up an down the steps selling beer, water, soda, peanuts, and maybe some other snacks or candy. Or you can also download the app and just order from your seat. During the 7th inning stretch, free full bags of peanuts are tossed out all over the infield seats, so you may even be able to snag one of those. There are lots of promo nights if you get there early enough for free goodies like vintage caps, bobble heads, can koozies, and other stuff. Last but not least, the women's restroom I visited was impressively clean for a ballpark, and very large so there was no waiting and plenty of open stalls. Overall, a fun place for a classic summer evening of baseball, and at a quarter of the price and hassle of Target Field.

Yelp
For my kids' birthday we went to a game again and unfortunately the stadium owners didn't notify vendors that there was a game that day so a wait for stratospherically priced beers was 30 minutes for us who left the line that moved halfway. Also they didn't acknowledge our kids birthdays after multiple communications. The St. Paul cops were great offering advice and directions (Hector, Carlos, Peterson...) Too bad.
google avatar

Yelp
My grand kids had a lot of fun! Muddonna is so funny! We had the perfect weather. If you are over 170 pounds, the seats are kinda tight.

Yelp
Like baseball? Come to one game here and you will LOVE baseball. Some background... I'm a former journalist and I interviewed Neal Karlen back in the 1990s when he wrote a book about this team. I became a fan back then and finally made my way here in 2019 ... 20 years too late. Independent league baseball players run the gamut. Some of them are former MLB and MILB players trying to make it back. Others are athletes who have tried out and made the team. Either way -- and I've witnessed a few dozen independent league teams -- they're all hungry and the baseball is phenomenal. In the case of the St. Paul Saints, so is everything else. For baseball people, St. Paul is a religious experience from the time you walk into the gates. Entertainment galore. Players who interact and seem to appreciate their supporters. Everyone who works there mentions the word "fun" when you talk to them. And the value? Oh my. Pound for pound, this is cheaper than your average movie theater. Throughout my career, I've seen a lot of baseball games at all levels. St. Paul ranks at the top of my experiences. Sure, I love my Texas Rangers, but they don't have a clue when it comes to putting the fans first. Neither do any of the other 20 MLB teams that I've experienced. Go Saints!

Yelp
Hilarious game! We had a good time. Food is terrible, and so is the service. A huge group of us came for a game recently and had a fun experience. Since this is a minor-league baseball team, it was extremely entertaining, I was there just for the fun activities during each of the intermission. We went early for the happy hour at the back of the field, the food was absolutely terrible but to be expected. They also ran out of water so we were thirsty for a while. I got myself a dipping dot ice cream in a hat and that was fun. Reminded me of the time when I was a child, I have not had dipping dots in probably over 15 years. It was way overpriced, to be expected. The ice cream sandwiches were saran wrapped and hard as rock, nearly broke my tooth biting into it. The field is pretty small compared to a normal ballfield, but I like the intimacy and it was very casual and not very serious at all. People are walking around laughing talking, and half of the people were not paying attention to the game. Overall very relaxed. The admission tickets were really cheap, I would recommend this for family outing or just a friends get together.

Yelp
CHS field is so much fun. Easy to walk around, a great variety of food and drink and a fun atmosphere. The parking isn't the most convenient but, if you're willing to walk a few blocks, you can find a cheap lot. A great place to go for a fun night out - with family or friends. Great for all ages.

Yelp
We came for an event (Irish Hooley Party at CHS Field after the St. Patrick's Day Parade). The event was sponsored by Guinness and featured live music from The Northerly Gales (they were AWESOME), dancing by the Rink Na Chroi Irish Dancers. The CHS concourse was great for this event at the end of the parade route. The ONLY drawback was waiting in LONG lines for the food vendors in the concourse. Really was wishing there was a food truck outside the event so I didn't have to wait forever for some food.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
CHS captures much of the magic that makes Minnesota one of the best cities to live in or visit during those uniquely Minnesotan summer days. Home to the St. Paul Saints, the stadium offers amenities enviable to many larger stadiums nationwide. Craft beers, niche faux-foodie options like tacos and deep fried apple pie, and ballgame classics like jumbo hotdogs & dipping dots line the perimeter. Whatever your interest - there's something to make you happy. Bonus for being located in a thriving and beautiful downtown St. Paul.

Yelp
CHS Field, home to the Saint Paul Saints is one of the BEST kid friendly sporting venues! Not only does the stadium have awesome food and lots of local craft beers but the amount of family friendly activities here is incredible. They have a playground, arts and crafts, a climbing wall, and so much more! This is one of our favorite summer activities!

Yelp
This field is something special. While it may not be a MLB team, I would hands down go here over any major league stadium for a game. This field is so clean and it truly does feel like a small version of a major league stadium. There really is no bad seat in the house. You can easily go from your seat to walking the outfield and if your lucky up to the securian club. They have really upped the food game from other minor league stadiums. They have some amazing food options, you would feel like you are actually at a major league stadium. Do yourself a favor and go to the left field and take a view at the skyline behind home plate, the view is amazing, especially as the sun begins to set.

Yelp
I just attended my first Saints game at this new stadium and it's an awesome venue!! Clean, comfortable, and with plenty of great views. Even though there are easy things to complain about, like overpriced food and issues with parking, I have to give this place five stars because it is such an exceptional baseball experience. Admission prices themselves are really quite reasonable. My $18 ticket put me 14 rows behind home plate. But no matter where your seat is, there are lots of places to sit or stand and hang out to watch the game. There is even a grassy slope overlooking left field. There is a good variety of food available, including burgers and sausage-y meats in an impressively motley variety. I actually didn't like the burger I got; it was a "beer cheese bacon burger", and I was surprised that the "beer cheese" was actually a cold spread. But I also got a malt from the Snuffy's stand which was DEEEEE-lish. Saints games are pretty much always sold out, and as such the lines are long at pretty much every single concession stand. The most celebrated aspect of seeing the Saints is the deluge of silly activities that are always going on between innings, before the game, or just whenever. There is a pervasive sense of humor throughout every game, which may or may not be related to the fact that Bill Murray is a co-owner of the team. Fans get invited into goofy contests all night long, and the announcer has a really odd, clownish wit. But you'll also see good baseball! The Saint Paul Saints are a minor league team; they're not associated with any MLB farm system let alone the Twins, but instead part of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. The Saints are a competitive team, and visiting squads put up an entertaining fight. Parking can be rough. There is no dedicated CHS Field parking. So you'll be finding a ramp or some street parking in Lowertown if you choose to drive. Public transportation is a much better idea. (or bike there, like I did!) Union Depot and its associated light rail station are just a few blocks away. Going to a Saints game with some friends is a really, really good idea if you want to just have a fun night out that includes some baseball. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A great new stadium, clean, convenient parking with plenty of food choices bit near by and inside the walls. They did a great fireworks display last night , so stick around after the game to watch.

Yelp
Having just submitted my review of Target Field in which I referenced both the Metrodome (an abomination) and Metropolitan Stadium (pleasantly amenable) in terms of their suitability for baseball, I must start this review of CHS Field with a nod toward Midway Stadium. Midway, built for comparative peanuts in a non-descript industrial zone was an old, rickety erector set with leaky plumbing, few amenities and offered the cheap thrill of passing freight trains receiving a shout-out. Despite all of this, it and the Saints never failed to provide a few hours of affordable fun and zany frivolity. By comparison, St. Paul's CHS Field is a Taj Mahal. Its sleek, retro-modern design is tucked into a corner of hipster haven Lowertown. It is everything one could want in a minor league venue. Yet, despite efforts to preserve an air of irreverence, something has been lost. Gritty charm and odd quirkiness have largely given way to slick, glossy corporate sponsored between innings add-ons. The food choices have so far been, in my estimation underwhelming. Nothing has really stood out as anything other than decent ballpark fare. Green Line runs to within a few blocks and parking down near the river is abundant. There are plenty of nearby establishments for you to enjoy before or after a game. To be honest, as much as I might wish to wax nostalgic, Midway always seemed in imminent danger of collapsing. And the overall fan experience could suffer from, among other things long lines and uncomfortable seating. So, the Saints have shed their shabby old digs for a shiny new home. In many ways, it is a huge improvement. But one might feel a bit uncomfortable now if all you want is to put your feet up and relax. Wouldn't want to leave scuff marks!

Yelp
This is a really nice stadium. This was my first saints game and it was really entertaining and it was a bobble head giveaway night. They keep you entertained in between innings with different side attractions. The food and drinks are moderately priced. My favorite item there is the mac n cheese hotdog (holy goodness). Can't comment on the parking situation as I took the train out there assuming parking would be a hassle. Definitely looking forward to going to another game!

Yelp
While the park is nice and clean and the open air environment really great, part of going to any ballpArk is getting a bite to eat. I spent over 30 minutes in line to get a hot dog-missed 2 innings and was only about 10 people ahead of me. This place earns a BIG #fail on the concession front. There are only four small booths and they are staffed with the slowest people ever! Must have rounded them up off the street and put them to work without any training. How long can it possibly take to reach into a drawer, grab a hot dog and hand it to a customer??? To make matters worse, you get to repeat the experience multiple times because this stand only serves hot dogs, that one over their is the burger one, the one in the outfield is the only place to get ice cream (but just on half the stand). Then you have to try and find the condiment stand and napkins. Forget the food here, the chicken finger and fries were under cooked, as was the brat. Prices are reasonable but quality is low and wait for this marginal food unacceptable.

Yelp
Ok great stadium and great team! Everything is just amazing Except!!!!*** fried and pies food window! Expensive and small portions! AND food was COLD. We very nicely asked for fresh and hot food and the cashier scoffed at us.... We asked her to eat one of our cheese curds and she set our dish of curds on the counter. We asked for fries instead and they too were cold. So disappointed! We watched the cashier put our curds back under the light. How grose!

Yelp
What a great stadium! I went to my first game a few weeks ago and then attended a private event in the Securian club the next week. What luck right?? It was my first Saints game ever. Our tickets were standing room only so when you get in you can basically find any spot on the concourse that faces the game to sit and watch or just stand around. My friend and I did one tour around the field to see what they had for food options and there are quite a few that looked yummy. There are beverage kiosks around the field as well if you are feeling a beer, wine or cocktail. Great family friendly atmosphere. It's a great option to get in and watch a ball game without breaking the bank. I plan to come to a game with my kids but for them I am going to try and purchase a ticket where we can sit either in a seat or the grassy patch area of the stadium. The 2nd event I attended was held in the Securian Club and what an great space! It also has Windows to watch the field during a game. Some of the people I was talking to made mention of how cool it would be for a wedding venue if you are a baseball fan to get married on home plate and come in for the reception. For this particular event, apps and drinks were available with some amazing looking desserts! I had the strawberry shortcake and it was my fave of the night.

Yelp
We're big Saints fans in our family and we really love CHS Field. Considering where the Saints came from playing at Midway Stadium, CHS Field is a beautiful upgrade. CHS Field sits on the edge of Lowertown providing great views of the skyline and St Paul. One of the aspects that we really love is how open the stadium is. The concourses are wide, you can walk around the entire stadium on that concourse. Access to the stadium is easy as getting in their big gates is only a few steps from the street. The Saints are all about FUN. There are activities between every inning. Their PA announcer is entertaining and they have several different mascots and creative and fun events. The Saints are owned by Mike Veck and Bill Murray. Yes that Bill Murray, and Veck family has a long and rich history with baseball. Also a big fan of the local food and beer vendors. They also have cupcakes and State Fair food. All of this food and fun and the best part is it is all very affordable! The only thing that could make this any better is if they would add an R & I and the CH in CHS Field.

Yelp
Awesome little baseball stadium. Plenty of food choices and lots of beverage choices. Fun to roam around and soak up the atmosphere. Bring the family and friends and enjoy the game and all the other activities going on.

Yelp
Went to a Saints game on a Thursday night in August. The weather was cold and rainy, but attendance was fair. We paid $15 a person to sit about 10 or so rows up on the third base side. Great seats at a great price. I don't know if the weather kept people away but I would say the crowd was only half full or so. Or, half empty, depending on your outlook on life. There is plenty of stuff to keep you entertained during the game, which I suppose is necessary given that the Saints are an independent league team. There are requisite races, contests, and the PA announcer was pretty funny. Probably the funniest I can remember for a sporting event. I realize that bar is not high as they basically just announce stuff that's happened or ads for various businesses, but this guy threw some jokes in there. There are several local beer options located throughout the stadium. I walked near the craft beer tent in the outfield, but the joints near us had plenty of local options to quench my thirst. It definitely isn't just Miller Lite and Bud Light. The food I had was good, and while it was higher than typical (outside a sporting event), it was reasonable for a ballpark. I had a jalapeno cheddar brat, cheese curds, and a Summit beer for $20. The brat was large, at least a quarter pound and maybe over. It was juicy and flavorful. The cheese curds were the stars, they were fantastic. We had a large group, and after one person ordered the curds, I followed suit, then another. So, the cheese curds do their own advertising. I checked out the souvenir stand, primarily for a koozie since it was pretty cold. They had the normal stuff you find at a ballgame, but prices were more in line with the independent league rather than what you pay at a higher level or MLB park. CHS provides a great fan experience. On a future trip to St. Paul I will definitely check the Saints' schedule.

Yelp
Very fun fan experience. A lot of personalities employed by the club to make things fun. One of which is called coach. Who doesn't like "The Wave" and said it was stupid. And had a fun back and forth with some fans about it. Plenty of beer options. Food is standard, didn't wow me in anyway. The left field craft beer place is nice. Other than the tickets the prices are no different from a major league operation. Fun place though.

Yelp
What a FUN place. There is nothing better then buying a 7 buck ticket, grabbing a beer and hanging out the beer garden. Watching the Saints on a Friday night in summer couldn't not be a better way to spend the weekend in St Paul. Go Go Go this summer.
