The Best Pizza in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"It opened in spring 2024 but St. Pizza, sister restaurant to classy next-door neighbor Patron Saint Wine, is already widely known as one of the best pizza taverns in New Orleans. Grab a beautifully charred slice or a whole pie featuring thick-cut pepperoni, fennel sausage, or upside-down margherita; or go with one of the white pies: the Bianca with mozzarella, parmesan, sweet ricotta, and garlic confit, or the exciting Green Pie, decked out with all of the above plus seasonal greens, basil, and Calabrian chile oil (a drizzle of Calabrian chile honey is an optional add-on for any pie). Classic Italian appetizers, salads, and mains (spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmesan) round out the glorious menu." - Eater Staff

The Best Italian Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"St. Pizza, the new sister tavern and pizzeria adjacent to mod, cozy wine bar Patron Saint, has garnered national buzz for its pizza. You could grab a slice of beautifully charred pepperoni or fennel sausage pizza and enjoy it with a Manhattan or glass of pet-nat, but there’s more to this red sauce joint than pizza. The chopped salad, chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and specials like crab and corn gnocchi are the real deal." - Beth D’Addono

We stopped in for lunch and grabbed four slices and two cookies. There was a short line and it took about 10 minutes to our food. Both my husband and I want to go back for dinner because we feel that we didn’t get the best version of their offering - the pizza was delicious but overcooked (my jaw was hurting by the time we finished) and the dough needed a little salinity. I would personally add a little flake salt to the kale pie although that was my favorite one. Sauce was bright and fresh.

Excellent pizza place. The dough was the standout. Chewy with the right amount of crispness. First thing I noticed taste wise was the fresh tomato taste of the sauce. Then the pepperoni has that little burnt crispy edge that I like and just the right amount of spice. The cheese didn't overpower but tired everything together nicely. One of the best slices I've ever had! St Pizza is a must visit!

Google
They do pizza by the slice, so it's good for a small quick meal. I got a slice of the green pizza and the chocolate chip cookie. Pizza: It was really boring. The only good thing was that the bottom was crispy. The honey ricotta was stiff and flavorless, the cheese wasn't gooey, there just wasn't any flavor from the pizza at all. Cookie: It's a bummer that it wasn't served warm, but it was still a really good cookie -- crispy outside, soft inside, and had good flavor. But it's expensive for the size and for a cookie that's just good. You can find the same cookie for cheaper at other bakeries around the city. St. Pizza doesn't cut it for me. Maybe the whole pies are better, but I don't think their slices or cookie are worth it.

St. Pizza is an absolute gem. The customer service here is unmatched—the staff knows me by name, remembers my order, and always goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. It feels like dining with family. One of the most unique things about St. Pizza is the water. It’s filtered, incredibly clean-tasting, and hands down the best water I’ve ever had. It’s also used in their dough, and I’m convinced that’s part of what makes their pizza so exceptional. Speaking of pizza—this is easily one of my favorite spots anywhere. The tomato pie is a masterpiece. The undercarriage is always spot-on, with the perfect crisp and structure, and the tomato sauce? It’s the best pizza sauce I’ve ever had, no question. Beyond pizza, the spaghetti and meatballs is my all-time favorite. Rich, comforting, and bursting with flavor. My son and I eat here often—it’s one of our go-to places, and we always leave happy. Whether you’re ordering at the outdoor window to take your meal to-go or sitting down inside, you’re in for a treat. The ambiance indoors is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and just the right vibe to relax and enjoy a great meal. St. Pizza is a rare combination of quality, heart, and hospitality. Highly recommend.

Google
One of the best pizza spots in the city. The green pie is a show stopper. It's a bit of a thinner slice, for those who like that, but it's made perfectly. Folds perfectly, which is big for me as a life long NYer. Could be about a buck cheaper, but those are the times I suppose. Pizza is definitely the 💣 New Orleans is a pizza city now for sure, and this ranks with the best

Saw great reviews and pics and walked over here on a Saturday evening. Thought this was a lil hole in the wall spot but it’s a whole fancy sit-down place (which is a red flag for me, I just like a nice quality slice with no frills) Got a takeout margarita pizza pie that I ate at a nearby bar with friends as the restaurant was packed. Unfortunately the pizza did not live up to the hype. Adding salt helped. Perhaps coming at a less busy time or getting one of the topped pizzas would be a good move. Other people seemed to be enjoying it, but this is not for me.

By way of background as a native New York City person I am a bit snobbish when it comes to a slice of pizza. When my wife told me we were going to a pizza place in New Orleans I was very skeptical despite the inclusion of St Pizza on a best of list from the New York times. We ordered a pepperoni pie and hung out at the sister wine shop next door until we got a text that the pizza was ready. When we opened the box we were blown away by just how good it looked and smelled. The reason I only have a single slice photo to upload is because it was so enticing that we'd finished most of it before we even realized we hadn't taken a single picture. The crust is 10 out of 10 - the right level of thinness on the bottom and the perfect crispiness on the ends. The sauce is plentiful and flavorful with bursts of freshness from the tomatoes. Just the right amount of cheese that the slice doesn't get weighed down. And actual honest to God pepperoni as opposed to the unidentifiable meat circles at most places put on their pies. All this on a perfectly baked pie made for one of the best pizzas I've ever had between New York, Connecticut, and Florence. Highly recommended, eating at the wine shop with a glass of red in hand.

Google
Excellent pizza although the Italian sausage could have been a bit spicier and tastier and the dough was slightly overdone. Even so this pizza was better than 90% of the pizzas you can get at other pizza joints

Yelp
Rox's Notes: this tomato pie changed my life, SO much flavor but so simple. I will thank god every day for brining this slice of heaven into my life the margarita was a solid 8/10. I'm not a huge pepperoni fan to begin with so that slice was mid for me. We are thin crust people and these babies were CRISP!! Love this place and the cute little order by slice window! Mike's notes: pep was a tad salty for my liking, marg was money, but the tomato pie was off the chain!

Yelp
My cousin and I ended up at St Pizza as it was super close to where we were staying in town. Ambience was lovely, though we went for a very early dinner (I don't think it was even 6pm, but I'll admit, time didn't exist on that trip...) and we noticed there was quite a bit of a line forming to be seated and tables are close, so I can imagine it'll start to feel quite rowdy and crowded as the evening goes on. Our waiter was great, very understanding of our need to decide if we were staying or ordering food to go after drinks, and was great at letting us know the salads were definitely to be shared. We both got cocktails--my cousin got a hot toddy, which was fantastic, I got a cosmo which was fine but not to my taste. Wouldn't order it again, but definitely would get the hot toddy when there's a chill outside. Now, to food. We weren't in the mood for pizza, so I can't speak on what I imagine the restaurant feels is their signature (though I could see they were quite popular at the order window outside for pizza to go. Doesn't mean it's great pizza, but definitely popular). We split a ceasar salad and the chicken parm with pasta. Salads were big enough that a grown man and woman still had some leftover, but we demolished the chicken parm. Salad was good, dressing tasted fresh, not too anchovy-y. Chicken parm was perfection, in my opinion--perfectly crispy. Huge portion and is definitely a dish to share. My cousin and I left full and happy with our meal. That chicken parm will live in my memory bank alongside Veselka in NYC's chicken schnitzel. Five stars for the breaded and friend chicken. Knocked off a star solely because that cosmo was off. Honestly it wasn't even pink, which makes me wonder if they put any cranberry in there at all. If/when I find myself back in that part of NOLA, I wouldn't mind revisiting that chicken parm and getting a different drink. And early dining hours are where it's at!

Yelp
Yet another newish New Orleans pizza place with rave NYT reviews that totally disappoints when you finally try it. Service is weird in that you have to go inside the lobby to see the available pizzas, but then have to go back outside to a walk-up window to order & pay, and then they tell you to go back inside to wait for your food. The pizza itself is pretty subpar. The cheese seems better quality than many places. The crust is inoffensive. It's not bad but it adds nothing to the flavor or texture. The toppings WERE actually cooked all the way and not still raw / undercooked. That is a huge one in St's favor as it's really hard to find anyone who cooks pizza all the way. Those toppings, though, were clearly cooked separately from the pizzas they sat atop and that's a definite big big negative. The worst attribute of the pizza though was the 'sauce'. It's not pizza sauce. It's just raw straight tomato paste with no seasoning or herbs or anything. It seems to be straight out of the can. There is also very little sauce on the pizzas -- not enough to cover the crust or even add flavor...even if that flavor is just raw tomato paste. TLDR: great pizza needs great crust, great sauce, and great thoroughly-cooked toppings; and, it needs to be fresh and hot and hearty and should feel heavy and worthwhile both in your hand and in your mouth. St Pizza fails on all of these counts and does so at a very premium price point.

Yelp
They do a great white Bianca pizza! Thin and perfectly cooked crust and cheesy! I recommend getting your own fresh made hot pie, reminds me of my youth at the Jersey shore.

Yelp
I don't know what the fuss is all about. It was decent pizza. Walked up to the window got a slice pretty fast. Enjoyed the pepperoni. Don't wait in that line. It's just if you want a whole pizza and you want to sit. It's smallish in there don't bother. Just get you a slice or two and go next door to patron saint and get some wine.

Yelp
By far this was my favorite bite when visiting NOLA. I was wandering magazine street and was literally dragged here by the smell of pizza. The ambiance inside is dark but cozy. I loved the Christmas tree. I know it's silly but it was beautiful. The restaurant was small but the service was amazing. If you can't dine in, you can order by the slice at the front. We sat for dinner and ordered the broccoli rabe. They were delicious and very garlicky. The star of dinner was the Bianca pizza with the drizzle of the hot honest. The pizza was delicious. The crust was the perfect thickness and crispy. The ricotta was the perfect bite sizes all over the pizza. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Honestly St Pizza did not disappoint! It was as close to my fav NYC style pizza that I've had in NOLA. The crust was PERFECTLY crispy, and delicious. The pepperoni very flavorful-- I added some hot honey to my pizza :) My mom liked her green pizza with the chili oil, she gave it a 4/5! I do think it's overpriced for 1 slice, in fact more expensive than NYC LOL, BUT.. I'll definitely be back! Very good pizza. Think I found my favorite in NOLA! Looking forward to dining inside next time for a full experience, but the window was great and fast!

Yelp
Finally gave into the hype and tried this place based on the latest TikTok that came across my page. We ate in the tavern and got there right when they open because it was a Saturday and they don't do reservations. I'm glad we ate in, but not sure we'd do it again. Soooo noisy and the tables are super close so felt like I was in my neighbors convo. Food was on point though. The Caesar salad was amazing - great portion, good amount of cheese and good flavor. The BF had the chicken parm and really liked it. Kind of bummed you can't just get a slice in the tavern, so we got a whole pizza but did like that they did 1/2 and 1/2.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, the food is very good and it's a nice atmosphere. My main issue with St. Pizza is that it's SO expensive. A salad, a large pizza, and a bottle of wine shouldn't add up to a $100+ meal, at least not in New Orleans. I have been excited about trying this place since it opened, then got a boost with a NYT article. First, the beer list is pretty short, so we went with wine. Ok, that's fine, I like wine, but again, seemed like a lot for a pizza place. We split a Caeser salad, which was good (the crispy crumbled bacon was a nice touch). We had planned on getting slices but you cannot order slices in the Tavern part of the restaurant, only at the walk up counter, so we ordered a half and half. The crust was very good and the pizza was quite delicious. Slightly sweet sauce, which balanced out with the meats. Also it had fresh basil, which was a great addition. The service was great, and I have no complaints about the food. It's just that I can think of four other places with pizza that's comparable or better (you know where I'm talking about, but I don't want to make this an advertisement for somewhere else) that also won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Yelp
I had the best time l this past weekend here! Every thing was excellent. The service was outstanding Mara was our server I hope I'm spelling her name correct. She showed us a bunch of love talked about the menu explained everything and answered all questions we had. The place is real dope aesthetically it reminds me of New York so much! Low lights, smooth music, and the smell of fresh Pizza! The food was out of this world! We started of with the buffalo wings what a pleasant surprise I didn't expect them to be so good! They are Crispy with a nice hint of spice. Only thing I say about them is they are too expensive $16 for 6 wings a is little wild. The Caesar salad was nice as well very citrus forward but it was awesome. We also decided to go with the Chicken Parm, very flavorful the cheese was perfect and the marinara sauce is savory and deeply flavorful. The chicken itself held up great with the cheese and the sauce cook perfect, nicely salted and very tender. The Pizza was out of this world we ordered 2. The Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza was so good I can still that's it. Verycrispy crust but still had pillowy dough, the sauce was banging, and the pepperoni & sausages were salty and full of flavor. The pizza had the perfect balance. The Upside Down Pie was perfect as well sauce on top cheese at the bottom really cool because you could get to the yummy sauce first just amazing! The place was rocking the night we went had a slightly long wait. I think we waited an hr and I tell you I'd do it again. Might be the best pizza in the city!
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
I don't like trying a place for the first time by ordering for pickup but I had to today. Result? I'll be back again multiple times. Upside down Marg is unreal. Just excellent. Finally someone lives up to Pizza Delicious.
google avatar

Orlando L.

Yelp
The pizza by the slice sold here is very good! The only down side is the day we went (3:30pm), the inside dining room didn't open until 5pm which left us to sit on a wobbly outdoor wrought iron table for two people. Although the weather was nice, if the table was taken we would've eaten standing up. There's no side salad option, only huge 2/3 person salads. This visit was just okay. Maybe I'll try again when the dining room is open for a better experience.

Yelp
Another 5 star review for St. Pizza, well deserved!! We started with the fries and no expectations but WOW - the fries were incredible! I would put them up against any restaurant in the City. We chose the upside down margherita pizza, which was excellent. Sourdough crust did not disappoint, and the sauce was really zesty and flavorful. If I'm splitting hairs, I wished for just a little bit more basil with it. We had two bottles of sparkling wine which were fairly priced. We had the chocolate chunk cookie for dessert. Service was fine. We ate at a table in the bar. When we arrived, there were 5 open tables. The host initially hesitated and asked for my name and phone number when we asked to dine in. I asked the host if tables could be reserved, and was advised that they could not. However, when we were seated, the table right next to us had a "reserved" sign sitting on it. So who knows.

Yelp
Been hearing good things, so was excited to try it. I had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Bianca. Both were delicious. I loved their sauce. High quality ingredients. You order at a walk up window. There's tables outside for dining. Why three stars? There's just no ignoring the insanely high prices. It's VERY expensive. I had a slice of pepperoni, a slice of Bianca (no meat), a frozen cocktail, and a small side cup of hot honey. After tax and tip...$35!!! For one person...for lunch...at a walk up counter.

Yelp
If you look at my reviews, I do spend a decent amount of time reviewing pizza. I got my first job at 9 years old, folding pizza boxes and sweeping back in Brooklyn. Pizza is just something that's important to me. This is some top tier great pizza. I think I may like it better than L'industrie in NYC. The crust was perfect and sauce makes it or breaks it for me when it comes to pizza and I loved the sauce; not as much as L&B's sauce, but close (and yes, I'm gonna name drop pizzerias because why not). With O4W's pizza being downright terrible at the moment, I'm of the belief that St. Pizza is the best pizza in the south. I actually want to go back to NOLA just for this. A lot of the other reviews you see here are giving St. Pizza 3 stars, but they will say that the pizza is great, they just have a hard time with the price. While in NOLA, I tried Willie's (because it was there, not because I heard anything great about it) and that was $8/slice and Pizza Boss inside of Caesars (was hungry between gaming sessions) and that was $6.50 for a cheese slice and $7.50 for a topped slice. Now both these places cater to tourists; Willie's caters to the drunk Bourbon Street crowd that'll eat anything and Pizza Boss is for the degenerate gamblers like myself, so yeah, they can con people out of their money. Those slices aren't worth their price other than when you're drunk or you're trying to ease the pain of some bad luck (I actually had good luck at Caesars, I just literally try pizza whenever I can). But the plain cheese slice at St. Pizza is well worth $5. It's not that far off in price from a single slice at a neighborhood pizzeria, and St. Pizza is cheaper, I believe, than Di Fara (which is so overrated). Granted, you probably aren't expecting NYC prices in NOLA, but again, it's well worth the $5. And the bianca? That s--t was amazing. Best white slice I've had in ages. If price (which has a subjective side to it) was eliminated from the rating equation, I think you'd see a lot more reviewers say that it's some of the best pizza they've had ever.

Yelp
Best pizza I've had in New Orleans thus far! I decided to grab lunch on a whim, and I got the sausage and green pies slices. The sausage was amazing! Thin, crispy crust matched the perfect cheese to sauce ratio, and the sausage was seasoned so well! It was the perfect size. I'm saving the green pie for tomorrow, but I'm sure it will be great. It reminds me of New York style, and the location is easily accessible and so cute! Ashley was my cashier, and she was so nice and very helpful with her suggestions. There was a line when I came up, but it went fairly quickly. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
Hit or miss! We visited about two weeks ago and really enjoyed the pizza. It was so good, I prompted us to go back again this weekend. We ate in the tavern this time, which is cute and gives good date night vibes. The service was good. The food was not. The caesar salad was SO bland. The dressing was so watered down it tasted like nothing and basically pooled at the bottom of the bowl. The pizza came with a chili oil on top (we like spicy food and the honey chili drizzle was excellent last time) but there was SO MUCH of it that you couldn't taste the pizza and/or there wasn't enough flavor in the pizza itself to stand up to that much chili. The dough at least had a nice consistency and seemed properly cooked (not burnt as I saw on some other reviews). The chocolate chip cookie that comes in at about 5$ intrigued me so much last time I had to try it this time. It was okay! Overall, I'm sad to report that my second trip was disappointing! I don't know that I'll be making an effort to venture back down there.

Yelp
Definitely not the best pizza I've ever heard especially not as an Italian American from Philly. Not inedible but not worth the hype. My partner and I waited over 40 minutes for a few slices. I don't think they know what margarita pizza is supposed to look like or be because it had no slices of mozzarella on it or fresh basil it rather was just a mediocre cheese slice. They also offer no vegetables to put on the pizza which is odd. I will not be returning.

Yelp
If I could leave a negative 5 stars I would. First & LAST time ever coming here. Stopped by the pizza window for a couple slices. I ordered 2 slices and a root beer. I used my phone to pay with Apple Pay at the nfc reader. I thought it was kindav weird that there was no screen with a total. I saw the familiar toast pad/screen by the card reader, but it was back and away from reader about 2 feet. It didn't illuminate or show any total or tip options or anything. It wasn't put in front of me or flipped around or anything. I thought it was kindav odd considering the current state of society where those screens are forced upon you and want you to tip, even for basic transactions involving no real service and barely any friendliness. I still usually tip anyway, even tho I'm sick of those scenarios. I thought maybe this place is progressive and their employers pay them enough so they don't need to do that awkward toast tip-thing? That or the machine just wasn't connected? Because as previously stated, the screen was so far away from reader, and I would have had to lean in and stretch to even touch it. I was going to inquire about it, but employee just said "we will call your name when it's ready." I didnt even see a total, nor was I told what it was. She just walked away without even giving me a receipt. I waited for pizza, slices were good. Then, I decided to check my account to actually see what the total was. It was $ 17.56. I thought that seemed a bit much for 2 slices and a can of root beer. So, I go up and ask for a receipt from my order. They find it and give it to me. The receipt is for $14.86 ?? I ask why I've been charged 17.56 and the woman points to the toast screen and mumbles something about a tip. REALLY Where did this 20% tip come from I say. N I tell them I want a full refund and that what I just experienced was dubious, at BEST. They ran a tip-scam on me. That's why the screen is far away already pre-loaded with an UNAUTHORIZED & ARBITRARY tip percentage already figured in. She credited back my 14.86, but not the tip which they ILLEGALLY put through on me. I am filing a court claim against St. Pizza. I am going to be in contact with police, better business bureau, and any other appropriate agency I can bring attention to about this. I still have not been refunded the tip they fraudulently charged without my consent. The lack of receipt in the beginning is very suspect and just lends to securing this scam by employees. GOOD PIZZA - SCAMMER EMPLOYEES!!!! Make sure they don't get you too. I don't care if it's 3 dollars, 3 hundred, or 3 thousand. I am very offended by unauthorized charges to my account. This was criminal

Yelp
Completely overhyped and overrated. We got slices to eat next door in Patron Saint, so it's not like the pizza travelled far. It was cold and the cheese was kind of congealed. I love cup pepperoni but this pizza was so mid I couldn't even enjoy that. The margherita pizza was disappointing as well. With all the hype surrounding this place and the price, I was expecting decent pizza and this wasn't it.
google avatar

Arthur W.

Yelp
I ordered my food to go so I can't tell you much about the dine in experience. I can say the pizza and wings were excellent. We ordered on the spot and waited over 30 minutes for our food. We got the meat pizza with the hot honey + fresh basil and buffalo wings. We were extremely pleased and will be back.

Yelp
Ok if from the Norrheast and missing that NY or New Haven slice you better come try this place out!! Seriously it's legit - and you must try the "tomato" slice - you won't be disappointed. And you can get it by the slice they are Always ready to go. I'm gonna be able to stay in New Orleans now!

Yelp
Dined in, service was pleasant. It's a cute place, but it does get quite loud because the tables are very close. I ordered the pep pizza, wings, and fries. The fries were superb, but as time went on I started to get extra thirsty and noticed they are VERY salted. My table was covered in salt from me rubbing it off each fry like a weirdo, haha. The wings were naked, which is my preferred way. But I would skip this, nothing to write home about. The pep pizza was pretty dry and very chewy. It's also salty because their peps are thick cut. I'm not an expert with the oven but either the heat is too high, or it's overcooked? Only had one slice. What I DID love...were the sauces. The sauce with the fries and the blue cheese were amazing. I wanna dip all sauce vessels I can find into them. I'd come back for the fries, request no salt, and to try a different type of pizza with a side of blue cheese. Try everything twice, right?

Yelp
Bad news first, this place is expensive when you consider that pizza is not exactly a costly food to make. Prices aside, it's "upscale" wood-fired, crispy crust pizza so don't come looking for greasy or stuffed crust vibes. I have a fondness for all types of pizza and was more than satisfied with our basic pepperoni. The "green" pizza needed a bit more of a kick.. pesto drizzle or something, but it wasn't bad. Just not perfect! Salads were a decent size, and their flavor palettes were unique and delicious. I'm pretty sure we had a Cesar and antipasto salad. We shared them between our party of 6 before enjoying two pizzas and everyone enjoyed! We spring for the chip cookies for dessert and they were delicious, although I am not sure I agree with their claim to being "the best"! The butterscotch dessert was unique in flavor and texture and strictly only for those who love butterscotch.. like myself! If you're on the fence about butterscotch, stick with the cookie! Our server was just the right amount of helpful and attentive but not overly chatty! The overall ambiance in the dining area is pretty laid back, dark, cozy, and thankfully not super loud! When I'm back in the area, I would spring for the chicken parm or "the meatball" and a pizza to share!

Yelp
The Margherita slice was tasty, but I felt like a FOOL buying it for $5. You could sell me on high quality ingredients, but it doesn't even make mathematical sense when a whole pie is only $28. Am I paying a $1.50 service fee for them to reheat it? Are they trying to get me to buy a whole pie instead? Do they hate me? Probably all of the above. And I'll probably be back. But I won't be happy about it!

Yelp
Love at first taste! Thin crust goodness, the pepperoni and sausage are a must have. Order by the slice or a full 18" pie. Perfect for a night in with the fam or a get together with friends plus they are opening up the tavern for dinner with new entrees.

Yelp
Sat up at the bar- food was great. I really enjoyed the sauce on the pizza. Nice, crispy thin crust. Also ordered the chopped salad. I loved the flavors of the salad, but wish it was a bit more chopped.

Yelp
I came here because I love pizza but also because I heard it was supposed to be one the best pizza spots in the nation! It's a cute place. It's small, dark, and intimate. I came with a few friends and the hostess said the entire party had to be there to be seated. We sat down and ordered margaritas which actually tasted terrible. The server offered to switch the drinks but we ended up just asking him to bring simple syrup over and tried to doctor it up ourselves. For appetizers we had the wings and fries. Both are delicious! The blue cheese is so fresh and tasted homemade. It made two people I was with reconsider their supposed hatred of it lol. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with hot honey on the side. This is where things went slightly left.. the pizza was luke warm. I didn't want to have my first opinion of the pizza be ruined by the temperature so I asked the server if they could put it back in the oven. When it came back out it was piping hot and delicious! I'm so happy that we didn't just settle for the cold pizza because my review would not have been good. The hot honey was really thick which I loved, I've never had one quite like that. Due to the cocktail and pizza temperature issues the server actually gave us complimentary cookies which were delicious! The pricing is extremely high for pizza in my opinion so I don't think I'll be rushing back but I was pleased with everything!

Yelp
Just wanted to update my last review. Dined two additional times since last review and pizza, while occasionally overcooked in areas, no charred bottom. This is truly outstanding East Coast Pizza. Crust is not too thick, nor too thin. All of the ingredients, including fresh basil, top shelf. Quite a bit of attention is paid to the red sauce, and it shows, it is not too sweet bor to copious, just the right amount is Is ladled on! Excellent pizza.

Yelp
I kind of wanna update this because apparently, 35 bucks for a pizza is not that big a deal. I was just in Florida last night on the road touring and the Pizza after the gig was $34. So maybe that's just what pizza costs now ? I don't know. But with all the hype, I still expected this to be a lot better.

Yelp
No frills pizza window but superb pizza - nice cup pepperoni and just the right char on the crispy chewy crust. I suggest getting a full pie and share with others. We brought ours to nearby Courtyard Beer Co to enjoy with some craft brews.

Yelp
Excellent pizza and a nice addition to the LGD, it's pricey at $35 for a pizza with meat (choose either pepperoni or sausage which are both top quality) or you can go with nice vegetarian options for $25-30 but the 18" size is HUGE and the ingredients and crust are top quality. Most people go for slices which you can at the restaurant and are typically $5-6 but again are huge and the ingredients/quality is great. And BTW the cookies really are that good. True dat. I'm not an expert, but I've eaten a lot of pizza across NYC over the past 25 years and this lives up to anything I've had - I'd say maybe in the style of John's on Bleecker or Lucali (they put a bunch of fresh basil in the pizza box for topping as you please) but they use fresh mozzarella and are heavy on the [very tasty] sauce. Yet somehow the crust remains nice & crispy, this is MUCH better pizza than you'd find at most slice shops across NYC. They're still working on the attached "lounge" and setup/service still seem fluid in the first few weeks with some improvements definitely possible. But the related wine bar/shop next door (Patron Saint) and St. Pizza continue to add great options to the LGD. This is pretty great pizza.

Yelp
Delicious new pizza addition to the warehouse district! It has an adorable walk up order window and an absolutely yummy upside down margherita pizza! The service was great. I am so excited to make this my new go to for pizza.

Yelp
Undoubtedly the best "slice" south of the mason dixon line! If you don't like slightly over done? This isn't your place. If you like a HUGE slice of basic, traditional pie? This is your place. Easily the best slice and pie in the big easy. Easily!

Yelp
if you are a fan of brick oven, thin crust pizza, i'd highly recommend stopping by here during your visit to new orleans. this pizza parlor offers whole pies and slices to go, and they also have a full service restaurant and bar where you can order whole pies along with other italian inspired dishes. the ambiance is intimate and vibey. highly recommend!

Yelp
Pizza is top tier, pricy but also still pretty good, service was fast, will be back for a whole pizza when I save up

Yelp
My friends and I had a great meal at St. Pizza! We walked into the tavern about 6 PM on a Thursday and put our names down. It took about 10-15 min to get seated. The tavern has a large bar but not a ton of tables (lots of two tops) and it was packed. We started with drinks. The martini is classic and was very good. Then we ate the italian chopped salad which is one of the best versions of that salad I've had. The fries were shoestring and there were a lot of them and I enjoyed the red aioli dipping sauce. The buffalo wings were amazing with a great blue ranch dipping sauce though I wish there were more of them for the price. We finished with the pepperoni pizza which had a great chewy crust and nice cupped pepperonis. I wish I had seen that you could have added calabrian chile honey to the pizza, that would have been a good addition. Grated parmesan for the table would also have been nice. The ambience inside is romantic and would make it a good date spot. I would definitely love to go back and try some other pies.

Yelp
The pizza was fresh and SO flavorful - even garnished with fresh basil! We had mushroom, green and pepperoni slices. Need something sweet, too? OMG - Their chocolate chip cookie!

Yelp
Amazing pizza. Definitely in the top 5 best pizzas in New Orleans. Got it to go so I can't comment on the dining experience.

Yelp
New favorite pizza spot!! I was super excited to try St. Pizza...it's location is cute, and I always thought that it was a great spot for an eatery. Their staff is super cool and passionate about the art of pizza-making. So far, I've only tried "walk-in" slices to go...you simply enter the front of the restaurant, place your order (based on the available slices on the window), and wait a couple of minutes for it to be heated up in the ovens where you can see the magic taking place. And yes, it's hot in there! You're welcome to take your to-go slices over to the wine bar next door and sit and eat (in the AC, lol). There are also a couple of tables outside! The sit-down area of the restaurant is seperated from the ovens/to-go area by a large curtain. The area is dimly lit and gives a totally different chill vibe from the front of the house, but you must order a whole pie or an entree to dine-in. So glad I found my new grab-n-go slice spot in the city!!

Yelp
The pizza is very good. Delicious. Probably the best NY style slice in the city. The restaurant is dark, loud, very New York vibes and quite expensive. Go for slices but skip the restaurant in the back.

Yelp
Really good pizza- I love the sauce. I got 6 slices, 3 cookies and one Caesar salad to split and it cost me $75 including tip. Keep that pizza- I'm going to Zees! It's just as good and half the price!

Yelp
Heard about St Pizza on social media, it being a NY times pizza list, and a great place to try. The hours are somewhat misleading, we thought they open at 12, which they do, BUT it's only for takeout. Then takeout closes at 5, which is then where you can dine in. The staff seemed a little stressed out and the system wasn't taking cards, but they still wanted people to order food they would just have to wait and pay when the system was working normally. Pizza by the slice is obviously reheated, cracker crust is my type of pizza and this definitely had it. Pepperonis we're cupping, cheese was tight and not too stringy or sliding off the dough. I'd like to try a fresh pie and see the difference, and dine in for the full experience. Overall if you've got some time on your hands and you want pizza, this is a good option.

Yelp
$35 before tax and tip for a peperoni pizza is insane. I dot care how good it is. It's pizza. After tax and tip for a take out pizza it's $45 a pizza. In what world!

Yelp
My new favorite pepperoni pizza. We just got slices but can't wait to try whole pie, cookies, and tavern. Owners were very kind and informative.

Yelp
Today I got two slices of pizza and a perfect salted chocolate chip cookie to go, and I was thrilled. Slice 1: pepperoni was crisp on the edges, I had the added Calabrian chili honey drizzle on it, which was fantastic and not too dribbly or too spicy. Slice 2: Bianca was LOVELY, perfectly cooked and crisp despite the usual moisture content of white pizza toppings. There was fresh basil, just the right amount of garlic and tasty little blobs of ricotta. I will definitely be back, especially to check out the Tavern part in the back of the shop. Also, Patron Saint next door was lovely - I had a tasty blood orange spritz while I was waiting for St. Pizza to open at noon.

Yelp
Ordered takeout. The sausage and pepperoni pizza. It's sooo good!! Good crust. Not too thick or thin. Just right. One of our new favorite pizza places

Yelp
Honestly you're paying 5 bucks for an nyc dollar slice. I decided go give this place another shot since the hype is sky high and proceeded to wait 15 minutes surrounded by air bnb tourists (some with luggage in tow) for a slice that managed to be both burned and cold - the cheese was no where near melted. To charge 6 bucks for a slice of aggressively mediocre pizza then expect a 20% tip for bad counter service is...definitely a choice.
