Stable Gate Winery

This place is such a hidden gem and is only 15 minutes outside Albany!! We had the Seyval Blanc which was a super drinkable white and the margarita pizza which was absolutely delicious!! They have a real wood fired oven and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and local. The barn space is beautiful as well, such a cool spot! Overall we will definitely come back again when they have live music set up.

Stable Gate Winery is a beautiful place and an amazing venue. I hosted my sister's bridal shower there and I was nervous as I had never been there before because I live far away but they were so helpful and kind throughout the whole process! The winery itself has a great outdoor space and there was live music when we checked it out. It is obvious, the owner, Val, is very knowledgeable and passionate about not only the product (wine, food etc.) but also about the overall experience of the patrons. Friendly dogs on site are always a bonus, too! The bridal shower itself was in the lodge which is a wonderful spot for an event. We had the option of open windows with great airflow, and air conditioning as the day grew warmer. The BBQ menu we chose had fantastic food and all the staff (shout out to Wendy) were extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. They even specially made a vegan pasta salad for my friend when they found out her dietary preferences. I highly recommend Stable Gate Winery and I hope to travel back to the area to visit again soon. ...AND one last addition, my parents (both with electric or hybrid cars) really loved the electric charging stations =)

What a lovely evening! They had it all; the ambiance, the food, the drinks. But let’s be honest; they could serve saltines and tap water and I’d still come here for the overall vibe. I was lucky to sip on the mead, baco noir and vermouth and all were natural and tasty. I also tried the veggie and pepperoni wood fired pizza and now I can’t eat pizza anywhere else because that was delicious! But best of all is atmosphere. The string lights, fire pits, farm house decor. They knew what they were doing. The owner and her mom were both engaging and that alone was memorable for me because they were so friendly and memorable. I will 100% return for a night out with friends when they have a band.

Beautiful place! The grounds and the barn are beautiful. Val is a gracious host who offers up some delicious wines. They are dog friendly and had some live music when we visited. The margarita pizza on the menu was amazing. 👌🏼 little dash of pesto hit the spot! Please give them a visit! The surrounding area is calm, relaxing and sure to give you a great time!

Beautiful venue, delicious food & incredible staff! Stable Gate went above and beyond for our wedding. The weather was changing things up to the last minute, ceremony was moved inside, half of the venue lost power due to a storm while I was getting ready and the owner went into action getting candles a generator, whatever we may need if the storm got worse.. I honestly don’t know if there was a generator or the power came back because it was so seamless. I am normally very anxious but I was totally calm because I knew the awesome staff had everything under control. On top of pulling off an amazing wedding during a crazy storm they managed to make such incredible food that several guests (meat eaters and vegans alike) told me it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Stable Gate is. If I had a complaint it would only be that the weather didn’t allow us to enjoy the beautiful property but it honestly felt perfect just the way it was. I am very grateful we chose Stable Gate for our special day! I hope to be back for more events and great food soon..

Surprisingly beautiful!! Me and my fiance did this on a whim to find something todo in Albany. This winary is beautiful and has very refreshing beverages. We got the 9 types of wine for $20 and the bartender is very knowledgeable and super friendly! You even get to pet there dogs! Great experience and will definitely be returning!

The service was not great. We waited well over an hour for our warm meat and cheese plate. My friends and I went on a normal Saturday afternoon and received hot wine in a plastic cups, not ideal for a winery. I can see why people enjoyed themselves but unfortunately I will not be going back.

We had a lovely afternoon at Stable Gate Winery. Unique and tasty wines, live music and delicious flat breads made for the perfect fall afternoon. Highly recommend.

This winery is incredibly charming and absolutely beautiful. The barn is pristine, spacious, and features modern amenities, including nice restrooms and a bar in the back with a penny counter which was so cool. The ambience is rustic. There's definitely something to catch your eye, especially at the bar. Reminded me of a Tuscan beach bar shack It's quite adorable with the cozy room off to the side decorated with a teapots. The outdoor yard area is also spacious. Convenient parking that you can see the horses near the stable from. It's just a quick drive and easy to locate from Albany. I would highly recommend without hesitation.

The farm is a hidden gem down a secluded road surrounded by nature. The barn was open for viewing and decorated minimal but chic. The indoor area where drinks are served is petite but there was a seating area with small tables. My favorite drink was Seyval Blanc, very bright and crisp natural wine. In addition to the house wines the farm serves coctails and beer. There is also merch to purchase. I plan to return for the winter carnival in December!

Not a fan. The wine was sour. Menu very confusing and YELP coupon said free drink but when I showed her she said only for a mimosa. It didn't say that anywhere. Two older dogs tied up by front door. Seemed friendly so ignore growling and barking. $38.88 for two wines and two beers. Barn was set up for wedding. It looked lovely.

My girls and I came here in October for my Bach Trip and the people were awesome! The place itself was beautiful especially when we came with all the lights and live music. The wine selections were delicious that I came home with one! Amazing experience!

This is THE perfect hidden gem! What a nice place to spend an afternoon! Live music was fun, We had gluten free vegan white pizza no toppings! AMAZINGGGGGG and a wine flight. Will be back soon for sure!!! Highly recommend this place for a great afternoon

Okay so, this is one of my new, favorite local spots. Love it! My husband and I visited over this year's opening weekend. They have live music every Saturday, June through October from 12-2. It is just a magical, rustic, charming wine farm place to hang, have a glass (or 2) of nice wine, a cocktail, and a nosh! I can't believe we haven't visited before! It's super close to Albany - an easy 15+ minute drive on 90 to get there. So close and easy to be transported to such a wonderful, charming, countryside spot. We will be back again and again. We tried the wine and cocktails and had a lovely charcuterie plate. Perfect for a warm, spring day, outside in the sun, listening to live music. Doesn't get any better than that!

Finally made it here after figuring out the hours of business. Now I think I have it straight. Open on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday for wine tastings which they have one white wine and one red to try alone or do a flight with options from Hudson-Chatham winery. Fridays they usually have pop up events that will be posted on Facebook. We made it here to get a Capitalcraftbeveragetrail stamp for the local drink passport. The place is cozy and small and the owners are very welcoming and a pleasure to have met and talked with. The wine business is created by the daughter of another local business/catering in Schodack called Birch Hill or as I originally know it as Herbert's whom got their start in Albany. They also have a event/catering at this location inside an old barn and outside I hear with beautiful views. I will include pics of the barn on here as well. I hope to see this wine business grow and expand like a small brewery that I know since the product was delicious. Can't wait to go back again and try their very own pop up food truck which maybe they can do more often as they expand.

Am I in Italy? Must be a beautiful wedding venue as well. The barn warm and rustic. The food is clean and authentic. I'm glad there didn't happen to be a wedding so we could be in the yard for brunch.

Impromptu brunch today as we stumbled across Stable Gate Farm. Guest Chef who specializes in Japanese cooking Today - it was delicious! This is a environmentally conscious farm- chill atmosphere and wine and mead tasting. Nice craft cocktails and spicy Bloody Mary! Local beer also sold here. Dog friendly, COVID safe-

Had a great brunch in a very nice outdoor setting. The chicken and waffles were delicious and the cider mimosas were tasty. The service was attentive and very cordial. Thanks to Stable Gate winery for a lovely experience with my wife.

Hello ..i normally don't write reviews but i was just at your facility yesterday and i did approached the women at the counter ( im not sure her name) about how disappointed in the cheese and meat charcuterie boad i purchased in the amount of 125 dollars for 6 people ... first of all i didnt realize the price was going to be this high but i should have known if i looked and after i got over the shock of the price the board came out and it really wasn't anything special. There was a couple of cheeses a couple of crackers and a bowl full of little little tiny pickles probably not even 10 of them. The meat platter came out on a paper plate and it looked like something that I would've bought at Aldi for four dollars, and to be honest with you, I can't imagine what the cheese and meat platter would look like for 2 to 4 people seeing that the platter that I got was totally not enough for six people. It was a cute little place, but I'm never going back there again. The people were nice but rude at the same time because they were rushed and I felt like I was being rushed hurry up make your order and that's probably why I really didn't pay attention to the price that much but no excuse I get it not going back and I'm sure tha live and learn

A great venue for parties or just a relaxing brunch. They hosted my retirement celebration and crushed it. Top notch food, beautiful rustic but elegant indoor venue in the barn and outdoor space for lawn games and fun. I highly recommend. Val was a delight to work with and extremely attentive during the event. Can't say enough good things. Check it out!

It was my first visit for brunch at the winery. I left feeling like every detail at Stablegate was impressive, from the food to the honey infused mead, wine selection, music, and decor. Thank you for the kind service and the most delicious, relaxing, and joyful day. Can't wait to return!

Amazing place with a welcoming atmosphere! Accidentally found this place while on the way back to our Airbnb for the weekend. Although we had no reservations, the staff accommodated us without a problem. Staff was very friendly and always checked on our group. My friend and I got a sweet wine which I can't remember the name and our significant others had the mead. All the drinks were good. Sadly we didn't get any food but the menu sounded amazing. Would definitely return!

Wonderful place to visit, even better to return to. Menu is ever changing which is advantageous for the foodie in me. Amazing craft cocktails, food seems to be consistently locally sourced and holistic. Have been several times and will be back many more. Amazing service and great wine & snacks! We went on a Sunday for brunch and the menu was perfect. We got brunch, a cheese board, and a variety of different drinks. Everything was delicious.

I am so delighted that we found this unassuming and beautiful little piece of paradise. The winemaker, Val was passionate and informative. Larkin was gracious. We had the brunch crepe plate and I can't even believe how delicious it all was. We wish we lived closer because we would become regulars here. The cinnamon mead was my absolute favorite. So much attention to detail yet also simple. What a fine balance. The bottles are tied with twine. Absolutely lovely. Thank you for such a happy experience on a Sunday afternoon!

My wife and I stopped here on our last day in the area. The tasting room was a very small intimate place. Not only were we able to try Stable Gate wines, we were also given selections from other nearby wineries. Also available for samples are a couple of micro brew beers and some spirits from a nearby distillery. The owner is very knowledgeable of the region and local events. If you're in the area, I strongly recommend stopping into this lovely place and enjoy all there is to offer. I know we will definitely stop in the next time we're in the area.

I had a great day stopping in with a few of my girlfriends. Appreciated the decor and we had the whole place to ourselves. Ill go back again.

What an amazing gem of a winery and venue in Rensselaer County! Sommelier Val is knowledgable of the craft and enjoyable to spend time with. Please don't miss a pleasant afternoon sipping and taking in the scenery!

We didn't get to taste any wines because the gal said we had to order at least 2 food orders with our wine tasting which she said was a NY law - 1 food order per person. We've been to wineries throughout NY and have never been told this. There is no such law.
