I guess it's time to find a new place. I've been going here for several years since I live near by, but I'm done with this place after my experience today. I have not gotten a worse haircut than the one I got today since I gave myself haircuts during the pandemic. I went in today and it was pretty slow and empty. Only one other person was getting their hair cut and there were a lot of people just standing around. So that means there was absolutely no reason for the way I was treated. No need to rush or be in a hurry. No one was waiting at all. For some unknown reason, the person cutting my hair seemed be be trying to do it as quickly as possible. Not even taking the time to properly understanding what I wanted before starting. Perhaps it had to to do with the fact they weren't even looking at me after they asked. Just too busy turning around grabbing their stuff instead of paying attention to what I was saying. I asked for a #3 on the back and the bottom of the sides blended into the top. What I got instead was #3 all the way up the sides like a flat top. I specifically pointed out the parts I wanted short when I was explaining what I wanted. It was supposed to be blended, but that never happened. The haircut was the most rushed cut I have ever gotten, with the barber hurriedly dragging the comb over my scalp in a way that was actually painful. Then they did the same with the clippers. Just go go go. Jab jab jab. They never even asked how I wanted the back or anything. No questions at all during the perhaps 10 minutes total he spent on my hair. This is not an exaggeration. The whole thing didn't take more than 12 tops. Probably closer to 10. What's the rush when there are no other customers waiting? I literally had to ask just to see the back of my head after getting my glasses and I was rudely told. "I already handed you the mirror." I had to explain the fact that I wear glasses and needed them to see the back. I even had to ask the guy to set them down for me in the first place. Just sitting there akwardly holding them in my hand aft if was clear the haircut had begun. Why do I even have to ask to see the back? Why are you rude and arguing with me when I do? Then the haircut itself is very uneven in additional to being not what I asked for. Easy haircut, doesn't normally take much time, but you can't even get it even? That's the most basic part. My haircuts there have been hit or miss before but I never took it personally since they normally appear to be trying to do what I asked for and at least do a good job otherwise. Not this time. It was like the guy's only goal was to get me to leave as quickly as possible and I did not feel welcome at all. I am not going back. I don't know what happened today, but it's the last straw. I understand that sometime you don't get exactly what you want, but this is ridiculous. They didn't even try or seem to care if I was happy with my cut or the experience I had there. If that's the way you want to treat customers, then I'm out.

Don’t feel bad if you bounce from one barber specialist to another they all get dwn!!! Took my son in on a Wednesday, Alex the owner indicated it was minimum short day school special, Alan Vazquez (the 1st barber that seats closest to the window) worked on my boy👌🏻hooked it up gave him a clean fresh cut & a special request 49ers design 😎 love how STACHE HOUSE takes pride on making sure customers leave satisfied !! Highly recommend!! We’ve Definitely became regulars here !!!

I Was In town for a Family Event and needed a Fresh cut for My Son and I. Googled the closest shop and here I arrived. Alex was So Interactive with his Customers as well as his Barbers. Felt like family. My 10yr old son was skeptical about getting a cut since we have our Main Barber at home. But for this Family reunion we NEEDED TO BE FRESH. So disappointed in the service my son in law receives this morning at his appointment. I recommend Stache house because we had great experiences with the Harbor location thinking the Chapman location would be the same. Well it was absolutely the worst experience my son in law had. He booked an appointment for the Stache House special, which is like an all the works shampoo, cut shave, massage, etc. for $70. When he arrives not only did he NOT get the services he booked the appointment for, but was not greeted as well as other clients making him feel out of place. Then when he spoke about the remainder services, the barber acted like that wasn’t what was on their appointments and ended up just giving my son in law a haircut and poor shave that caused burning and skin irritation. To make it worse he was charged $60, for two services that were not even done correctly because the barber was too busy socializing with multiple people who came up and interrupted during to service. To top it off that said services that was reflected on the barber shop side sure came through on the thank you email/text asking how his services were. DO NOT GO HERE, ITS A HANG OUT NOT A BARBERS SHOP! What a waste!

I have weekly hair cuts with Alex and he always greets me and the hair cuts are always exactly how I want them. I now have other friends and family that come to the Chapman location and they always talk about how clean the place is and good the service is. Definitely recommend.

Called to make an appointment with Alex, was informed he wasn’t here and he left the property. Been waiting for quite some time and was told they didn’t know when he was coming back. He went ahead and left for the day… First time here and last… Very unprofessional. Should have told me they didn’t have an appointment or he wasn’t here instead of making me wait. Now running late to work. Very unprofessional..

Got my haircut here for the first time was affordable not too pricey. Walked in and everyone tried taking care of me instead of feeling uncomfortable standing there awkward. I loved my haircut. Thank you Felix.

Made an appointment with Barber Selina. She's nice, quick and does an excellent fade. Both my boys loved her.

First time guest and it will not be my last. Decided to get a fade and shave. Let's just say I left very satisfied. Sergio was my Barber - awesome guy and did a great job. Was greeted by Alex at the front counter - super knowledgeable and cool too. Also met another barber Philip who had an awesome playlist! The atmosphere and ambiance were amazing too. Definitely felt welcome and will be sure to come back!

I don't get my hair cut often but the couple times I've been here they've always taken care of me. I had an appointment at another barber shop fall through and I called Stache House who were able to fit me in within 30 minutes. All the staff was very friendly and I waited maybe only 5 minutes before they called me up. I had never gotten a buzzcut before and the barber went over some options with me and gave me a great haircut. Will definitely come back here.

Walked in book appointment for 2:30pm. First time at this Barbershop. My appointment was with the Barber named Omar. Great friendly guy small conversation with him. Turns out he's friends with one of my coworkers. Definitely will be coming back again well worth the choice of Barbershop.

I'd give zero stars if I could. On multiple occasions, we've had a 9 am appointment yet they don't open the doors until 9:10 and are opening late (in OUR experience) When my husband showed up for his 9 am appointment with PHILLIP, not only did they open late, but when Phillip was called by a co worker, he said to tell my husband he "no called no showed" before. Let's not forget the NUMEROUS times they double booked causing issues for us, they've had barbers simply not come in and we've had to postpone haircuts. This has happened to my husband and my boys. But as someone who essentially has their own business and builds their own clientele, to come back and intentionally burn and screw over someone that has been booking with him consistently is incredibly unprofessional. Ever since the owner sold this place, it's gone down hill.

Stache House is a well maintained business. The barbers are great. The owners, Alex and Edgar, take pride in cleanliness, design, and comfort. Stache House is very nice inside, good music, and excellent hair cuts. I get a mid-fade and I enjoy the service I receive. I highly recommend this place.

The barber I had was obviously sick. He was constantly coughing and sniffling. He said it was his allergies. If it's his allergies, why is he doing this? He wasn't wearing a mask, and I usually don't care about that, but this guy was COUGHING right next to my face. He couldn't hold the buzzer straight. Ended up cutting me with a straight razor three times. Worst haircut experience I ever had. $35 for a bad haircut and coughing in my face. I wrote to Stache House about this and never received a response. It's been over a month. Hopefully this grabs their attention. I been coming here for years, but after this, makes me want to check out other places.

I like it here. I leave feeling handsome and taken care of and I think that these are two very important experiences for a quality barber shop. Definitely suited for a younger crowd (with younger barbers) but it's not a low energy spot which I am so accustomed to experiencing in so many barbershops. Treat yourself to a haircut and a shave. Feel better today than you did before. ‍

Came to Stache House about a month ago for the first time and have been back 3 times since! Phillip is my new barber, his cuts are so clean and he's very easygoing. I'll definitely be back moving forward!

Booked my appointment for same day, got cleaned up by Emilio. I always had a hard time finding a barber to cut my hair because it's curly, but he nailed. Great vibe and great people. My new regular spot. Shout out Emilio.

I have been coming here for at least 2 years and I have brought my now 6 year old son here for about the same amount of time. Today my wife brought him and while she was waiting with our 3 month old baby one of the people getting their hair cut starts making inappropriate jokes to her about women's vaginas and oral sex. The person cutting the guy's hair just laughed. She told him to stop right there because she has two young kids with her. At that point he called her a slang term for prostitute. No one working there said a word. I can't go to or bring my son to a place that will condone this treatment of women. It was so unprofessional and disappointing.

I have never had a worse experience than the one i had with Luis today, the guy seemed inexperienced, un-natural with what he was doing, and the result was so bad as if a bomb exploded next to my face. it required 2 experienced barbers ( that were great ) to fix it and bring what's left of my beard to look all together. I totally felt uncomfortable as soon as Luis started cutting my beard, he doesn't belong on the same level with the other barbers, shout out to Felix and Gio who fixed the mess as much as possible.

I'm just very grateful to have stumbled upon this barber shop. My boys have refused haircuts because of previous unfortunate experiences but Alex restored our faith. Alex (the owner) took his time with my son to figure out what cut/ style he was going for. He browsed a couple of model pictures with him and was very kind and welcoming. He was mindful of our requests and the haircut turned out to be perfect! My son definitely had a big smile walking out the shop. My other son was paired with Selina, she too was very kind and professional and did she awesome job with the haircut. So for all y'all that are looking for a great barber, this is the spot! The cut was super fast got in at 4:32 and out by 4:43 the barber Emilio was super kind and cut very fast the vibe was giving party style and the cut was top quality. Would reccomend and will be coming here again

First time at Stache on Harbor, they took us in last minute. Marcos cut my son's hair, my very picky son who ended up loving his cut. We leave in tears every cut, not with Marcos. He took very good direction with what was requested. Will definitely be back! One warning they don't take card payment, you must use an ATM machine that will charge an additional fee, that was a bummer. Will def bring cash next time.

Been coming to both shops for about 8 years... Chapman is more laid back now, the guys there making jokes with each other, stop looking at their work when their personal convo is more interesting. I curse here and there so my kids are no strangers to foul language but it's pretty unprofessional when a grown man uses the f word so common around a child at his place of work. I loved this shop because of their patience and especially their professionalism!!! I ended up leaving after two walk ins I got done for my two oldest and went to harbor location instead for my little one. I guess you have to have your person or appointment cause walk ins are awkward. Not for littles. Stache house at Harbor is smaller but much more comfortable ,profesional & friendly staff. He struggled a bit with a Mohawk for my 5 year old but he was very kind. A buzz cut with line up, a fohawk with line up and a Mohawk with line up (plus keep the tail) was requested and the images below was what we got. There are other shops and specific shops for kids but given the time and history with Stache house I go back every time! Only 8 mins from home. My kids and husbands spot. Thank you.

I took my 1yr son in to get a haircut and it was our first time visiting Stache house and the shop is clean the staff is very welcoming , there's room to sit down and wait for your appt. Our barber was Jose he did an AMAZING job my son was not having it and the patiences he had was remarkable. He took his time and after all the crying he had a clean haircut . I will be coming back.

Been here a handful of times before Im writing this. I have been with Mac and Alex among many other stylists. They are good and professional. I can see how much patience they have when I saw them with kids. Kudos to them! You want a great fade, come here.

Clean FADE as always! I've been getting my cutzfrom Alex Zavala for over 10 yrs. The ambiance at his shop is hands down the best. From the time you walk in you're greeted immediately to when you're in the chair great conversations to when you leave looking fresh. The ease of booking appointments with text follow up reminders is also fresh . Especially for someone like myself where I get busy in my business. I've been coming to this Barber shop since it opened. I normally get cut by Alex, the owner (his cut shown in the photo). There is another Alex at the shop that cuts really good as well. Also Selena and I believe Carlos? Everybody, really. It's the kind of place where even as a walk-In with no appointment you know you'll get a good cut, regardless of who you're sat with. Most of my cuts are scheduled with a standing appointment. They have a pretty good automated appointment system setup, actually. Any changes are easily handled with a quick call to the shop or by replying to the automatic texts from the system. There are multiple TV's with the game on, or something good, at all times. Lots of seating. Family friendly. My kids have been getting cut here as long as I have (2017-ish?). The crowd is super chill. Keep up the great work.

I used to take my son to a kid's salon. After he received a couple of botched cuts, we were done. Thanks to the positive reviews on Yelp, we decided to give Stache House a try. I scheduled an appt. with Alex (owner). He is kind, and patient. He gave my son a great cut. We have returned three times, and have not been disappointed. Stache House is my go to barbershop. Great cuts, and customer service.

Easy to make an appointment. I booked my appointment the day before. They were on time and professional and wound up with a great hair cut.

Had appointment and confirmation but they said yeah your name doesn't show on our list. I booked directly through their website not google and they said I did not have an appointment.

I've taken my 6 year old son here twice for his haircuts and have decided this is our usual spot! After seeing how great his haircuts turned out, my husband now goes here for his haircuts too. Jasmine does such a great job and is so patient with my son. The place itself is so clean and everyone is very nice and professional. So glad we found such an awesome place so close to home!

Just moved to Fullerton from Downey. I had an early morning appointment and it went very well. Julian was my barber, and its safe to say I will definitely be back. They were busy and were still taking walk ins. 10/10 would recommend this barbershop to anyone. Julian took his time on the cut and ensured that it was everything I wanted. Stache house is the $H!t

This review's for Johnny V the barber, young barber with attention to detail. I found his page on IG through #orangecountybarbers I think lol but I digress, the kid gets down with the tapers and line ups, he's very meticulous about his work and makes sure everything looks the way it's supposed to. It's hard to find barbers that actually take their time this day in age, as I've had my fair share of new barbers just through the uneven fades and tapers. I also like the outstanding level of customer service they live up to. Both times I've had my haircut appointment here, I've gotten called hours ahead of time to inform me that my appointment had gotten pushed back 30 mins, once got called by the shop and second time by Johnny himself on both occasions. I wish I would have found this spot a lot sooner. Anyway, if you're ever in need of a taper or fade in Fullerton, do yourself a favor and book an appt online with this talented barber.

One of the best barber shops in town. My husband gets his hair done by Alex and he's great. Always leaves my husband with a clean cut. My husband, family and friends go there as well. It's a busy shop, make sure you schedule your appointment ahead of time. Due to my husband schedule they always try to accommodate him. The other guys are great as well. It's a very welcoming and friendly shop. Highly recommend them.

I LOVED MY HAIRCUT. SIKE! This haircut was terrible. Not only do I not like my haircut. The service was terrible. They did not cater to exactly what I wanted. I told the barber not to cut it too short and give me a nice size two taper. A taperrr and he messed it up completely. Never coming back here. Don't even bring your children here. If I could rate this 0 stars I would, but Yelp won't let me. So, you suck too, Yelp.

The process of finding a barber is always a tedious experience. Look no further! This shop is the place to be! The barbers are welcoming, family friendly, and efficient. I've always struggled finding a barber that is consistent with their cuts/service and Allan always comes through. He's patient and listens to the client! As someone who works in an industry that demands you to be hospitable--I can without a doubt confirm Allan and his colleagues are exactly that. He's been cutting my hair for a couple months now and I don't plan to find another shoppe anytime soon. Check it out

I've been bringing my son to Alex since he was 1. He is now 3 and looks forward to his haircuts. I was a little nervous at first because I didn't know how he would react but as long as I didn't give him too much attention and let Alex do the talking to him, he was able to listen and cooperate (also, the crackers helped) Now he just sits there almost like it's soothing to him with little direction. I recommend you bring your kids to Stache House Barbershop. We always have a great experience and the sooner the better so they can get used to the environment! :)

I have been coming to the Stache house for years. I highly recommend coming to this barber shop! You will get a high quality haircut from any barber there. The owner Alex, is very polite, professional and always greets every customer when they come in. They really go above and beyond!

They've always respected my sons appointment times, neither I or my husband have smelled weed. The bad reviews sound like evil people trying to get a reaction. Reasonable Pricing. Greats cuts! Hubby has been coming here since before I met him. Now our son comes here too! Always greeted. All the young men there are great.

We happened to be in the area and my 12 year old son needed a haircut. I called the shop, and fortunately they had an opening right away. We walked in and my son was seated right away. The front guy, Alan, was attentive, friendly and helpful. The barber did an amazing job! Awesome fade and the style that my son wanted. It was great how quick and efficient my experience was! I didn't realize they only take cash. So make sure you come with cash.

Called and was able to get a same day appointment. My brother is changing his life around, and is trying to look better as well. Thanks to Alan he looks great again! He had long hair and didn't really know what kind of cut he wanted, and Alan guided him right though it and showed him pictures, and fade styles. He is feeling so much better with his new hair cut!

Scheduled an appointment for 1pm and 20 minutes later nothing. Not even a heads up of the barber running late. Guy running the front just keeps walking by avoiding eye contact . Funny when the owner isn't their, they do what they want.

They get busy so you need to book in advance which can be done online. I usually do the men's haircut for 45 mins with Louis. They call you to confirm your appointment and you will receive an email and text confirmation. Once you step in, everyone is super friendly and they have plenty of seating in the waiting area. It is a friendly vibe and everyone is close to one another. The barber Louis is great, on time, super friendly and wants to cut it right. For the first time, you an show them a picture of what you want. He will ask you step by step how you want each section and length. Definitely coming back!

I have been coming to this barbershop for over 5 years for the first time appointment was canceled two hours before, when I have a HUGE EVENT this evening. I know I took a chance in saying yes to being placed with another barber but the barber I was put was clearly brand new. Did not give me the cut I asked for, I was visibly unhappy. The barber then proceeds to ask me how much I want back from the $40. He was obviously expecting a tip. I'm not out to ruin anybody's day, but when I tried to speak to another barber about it he was dismissive and said that the owner wasn't available to speak with. I know the owner works hard and has built a very successful business so I'm writing this review because the level of customer service the Barber 's are providing is not the same customer service that he has provided all the years he's been in business. Maybe it's just who I dealt with today.
